Bagel World

Slowest service ever. Took about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. It was me and one other person there. Blonde haired lady was more interested in dumping the tip money out on the counter than servicing the person who is there to buy and order food. The Spanish lady is the only one hustling. The bacon eggs and cheese was pathetic for the price they charge. Partly warm, partly not, bagel was dry and just sub par. The tables, not a single one was clean. I wiped one down myself. For the price, horribly slow service, food lacking, and dirty tables, I’d sooner go to McDonald’s in the same parking lot! Never again! I paid $17 for 2 BEC that barely had an egg on it, and 1 medium coffee. Drive right on by this place!

If i could give this place a 0 i would . The guy who takes the orders has a nasty attitude. I gave this place many chances and keep going back because the lady who speaks Spanish is actually very nice but today i had it . This guy treats the costumers like if they were stupid . Very disrespectful. The food is good but i hope the manager sees this and takes action.

I am soooo dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I ordered an Asian Sesame Salad and they were out of the dressing, the chicken was rubber I couldn’t even eat it, and to top that off the wontons had an odd taste to them. Very disappointed!

The last few times I've ordered wraps from Bagel World, I've been lucky enough to get Justin. He takes the time he needs to make the best wraps. Plus he's so kind and polite.

Recently moved back to the area after living in NYC for a number of years. We were looking for some bagels and tried out Bagel World. Ordered two bacon egg and cheese on everything bagels, one blueberry honey cream cheese on pumpernickel, and one normal cream cheese on everything bagel. First reaction to the bagels was weird. They are very soft and fluffy. I always expect more toothsome. Flavor was good but the everything bagels have more salt than anything else on them. I like my everything bagels to be covered in the everything! The bacon, egg, and cheese on the bagels was tasty though! The flavored cream cheese was great. The flavors of blueberry and honey really came through. We are two and had two the next day. After a day, they more resembled the texture I think a bagel should have. Maybe I’ll get used to the fluffiness but I really would like there to be more everything seasoning. Take a look at my photos and decide for yourself. Oh. The amount of cream cheese I thought was just on the low side of just right.

I haven't been home to Monroe in a long time. This place must have changed owners, so I hope this can be constructive criticism. I got a panini and a bagel. It took me 30 minutes and two attempts. The bagel was fine, however, the panini wasn't something I'd order again. The bread was soggy and the mozzarella was still cold and not melted.

We got a dozen bagels, 4 plain, 4 everything, 2 poppy, and a couple others. They have a whole variety of Bagels, including Pumpernickel, red velvet, plain, everything, poppy seed and more! Person who took care of us was also nice, and we were taken care of right away. We enjoyed our bagels for breakfast that day, as we ate at home. Price wise it wasn't bad either. Hope to be back soon!

Been here several times and it’s always the same…very slow service and very expensive. I ordered 2 sandwiches (turkey and American cheese with mayo on a round roll) and it’s almost $28. 2 SANDWICHES! And I was waiting 13 minutes to have them made. Terrible. In the past, when I’ve ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese, they use only 1 egg and barely any bacon. This costs in the neighborhood of $9. If you add an egg or bacon it’s another $2. I’m walking out paying $11-$12 for a bacon, egg, and cheese. 1 sandwich! Not sure how this place stays open. And the quality isn’t even that good. I’m not going back.

It's been a few years since I have eaten here. The place has changed. The bagels look small compared to bagel girls in Chester. I had a bobo on an everything bagel. It came with a small coffee. The bagel was very good. It only had very little potatoes on it. I still liked it. The place looks clean people who helped me were friendly and nice. Good service!

While the previous owners were just OK, this new owner is ripping the customers off with less received for more money. This place was always expensive and you never knew how much you would spend because it always came up differently, depending on who served you. Now it's not worth the money at all. There is poor service, no quality interaction, no smile, no hi, and not even a thank you. OK, I am there for a bagel I get it, but on top of all this, the product quality has been reduced. Unfortunately, there are only two options for bagels in this area, and I cannot say much good about this one. Today I added bacon to my bagel for $3 and if you look at the picture you see what I received. This is the third time I have ordered a bagel with bacon in the last two months with the same result, and while I know costs have risen for businesses, I am in this business so I know first hand, this place is ripping people off. I know it's a trip to find a good bagel, but I am taking my business somewhere else, and I highly recommend you do too.

Been to 1 million bagel places and I love bagels, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Manhattan, Brooklyn I've been to every bangle place in the tri-state area. This was subpar to say the least not bad bagels. The service was a little ack and the place seemed a little outdated but it was a little pricey too, But I've been to worse it's not a bad place. This place really went downhill over the years. Breakfast sandwiches are decent and it's nice they give you a free coffee with them. Today I had an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. It was so small, barely toasted and the cream cheese tasted so bad it was sour like it had gone bad. I spit it right out and tossed it in the garbage. I have also seen them handling money with their gloves on and then going directly to touch bagels after. Just not the same anymore!

Service continues to deteriorate. I waited in line for 15 minutes while they served groups of people one at time. When I finally received was duped to be two Massive BLTs, they were regular BLTs. They said it so old be another five minutes to correct the mistake. 15 minutes later I'm still waiting. It shouldn't be this difficult. They're bagels!

The bagels are great but they run out of bagels early. If you sleep in, forget coming here. Their everything bagel is very good as is their French toast bagel. They have a wide variety of cream cheeses.

Expensive. Very little bacon on the breakfast sandwiches....Spent $21.33 on three egg sandwiches. One egg and cheese on each and two with bacon (barely any bacon - like one strip cut into 4 pieces....Sigh)

I called in an order @ 8:49 am. When I arrived at the store the order wasn't even started. They were not busy in the least (1 person waiting to place an order when I arrived). Had to cancel the order since I was in a rush. Hence the reason I called it in. FYI I spoke to the blonde female owner when I called in the order

I was needing to pick up something fast since I was in a rush. Bagels were pretty good! Plus they had a gluten free option which was a life saver for me!

ordered bacon egg cheese on everything the other day, $7!!. seem they're way ahead of annual inflation rate and gouging a bit. Jessies in Sloatsburg, more than $2 less and much better bagel. When you get an everything it has everything on it, as opposed to Bagel World which had so little everything might as well have just been plain.

The bagels are very good and theirs always a line when I go there in the mornings whenever I get a chance to go there. I mean it's the closet shop to me since the best bagel place is Rockland bagels, but like I said it's closer than driving to Rockland. The only issue I have is pricing. I mean $12 plus dollars for a dozen is way too much for a dozen in my opinion where as I can get a dozen for under $7 at Rockland bakery. Like I mentioned before their bengals are very good, but since their the only one close by I will continue and recommend to friends and family if they ever ask for a good bagel spot to get a nice bagel from.

Now I remember why I stopped coming here good food horrible service. I walked in at 1:30 in the afternoon. 5 employees behind the counter 4 chatting away at each other and rotating food. There was 4 guest waiting. I commend then for their cleanliness but to stand around while they talk is ridiculous. Someone needs to teach them about customer service.

Always fresh bagels. Overall service is fair. Sometimes it seems as if a few helpers are doing u a favor.

Best bagels in Monroe. My only complaint is that the employees handle both money and food using the same gloves. That's unsanitary. There should be one staff member dedicated to just the cash register and not food handling.

Love this place. The bagels are legit and the sandwiches and wraps are excellent. Several locations make it easy to get fresh bagles

2017 has brought an entirely new level of customer service, seems like some of the new people who work here are lacking in basic interpersonal skills. When one orders a dozen bagels the person taking the order should refrain from showing absolute angst to the customer. Also, when the sign over the bagel bins states that a dozen bagels is always a bakers dozen that means 13 bagels not 12! This used to be my go to place for bagels but going forward, I am done.

I came a couple times different times. Since fall things has changed Theres more people to wait on you. The service is friendlier. I get a nice amt of cream cheese for the bagel. I have had their salads breakfasts etc all good. they are hiring more people to serve us all better. So for all those who didnt like the service before try again. The bagels are good. I do wish tho, the seating area was bigger like put in a counter and of course tidy the tables more . I go usually at 9 am its a good time.

This place is not clean nor sanitary. Here's what I witnessed within a few minutes of waiting in line: a guy in the back kitchen area vigorously sweeping while food is being prepared. Do people realize how much filthy dust gets kicked up from a nasty broom? Couldn't that sweep wait until closing hours when food is stored away? Strike 1. 2nd strike: one of the female workers mindlessly itching her ear WITH her food prep gloves on. 3rd strike: some dude on line could not decipher a text message of his order so he shows another GLOVED EMPLOYEE the text. She doesn't think twice to conveniently hold the phone and peer at the text with her GLOVED hand...and so I was OUT WITH THE QUICKNESS. Absolutely unacceptable. What is the purpose of wearing protective gloves? I mean, are they protecting the consumer with those gloves or are they protecting themselves from us? I've eaten here years ago, but never felt the place was really clean (fruit flies, old looking salads) but as I say, some folks will eat just about anything and the long lines are proof of this.

Best bagels in the Orange County. The staff is so nice early in the morning always happy to help even with complicated orders!! When they see someone having a bad day they always want to cheer them up. Kevin the owner is the nicest guy, always donating to different charities and allowing people to give flyers for events being hosted to raise money.

Came in with the expectation to have good food but I was really disappointed. The food is not good here, the chicken they made was super dry and over cooked and stuffed with super dry vegetables. I wish I could have gotten my money back but it was probably in there best interest to keep it. Honestly really annoyed I spent almost $10 on a sandwich.... Also, I showed up with someone and we ordered and waited like 20 minutes and they served another group who walked in after us and definitely didn't call in prior. I wish I could give this place -5 stars.

Very disapointing. I have lived in the area for over twenty years, going back and forth between here and Bagel Boys completly dependant on which direction on 17 I am going in. Coming from NYC having decent bagel is a must. I Will give them credit where it is deserved. They have very good bagels. But at what cost? Of course im not speaking of finances but rather human decency. 1. The girls behind the counter were too busy with their conversation to effectively assist customers. Making me feel ignored and that my order wasn't taken down correctly. 2. I was right. 3. Upon coming back just moments later to correct the coffee error, for someone lactose intolerant black coffee really means black, again we were ignored. While standing directly in front of the register. The girl looking off into the distance and speaking to her co-workers. 4. Even after ordering another coffee without asking for a refund she then began to ring me up for my already purchased items. 5. Once we finally cleared up the confusion she began to SHAKE HER HEAD AND POINT HER FINGER IN MY FACE. I paid for my second cup of coffee and left. I consider myself very easy going and mild tempered. I have never on my life felt so disrespected and belittled over something as trivial as a cup of coffee and a bagel. I will never return to this establishment and I will spread this on every social media I can. The customer is not always right. Years of serving the public has taught me that. But everyone should be treated with respect and basic decency. Very disappointing.

Delicious bagels and great service. HOWEVER, the seating area is disgusting - dirty and destroyed. This place needs a bit of a facelift. If I want to come here with my family on a weekend, I get seriously grossed out sitting down to have our breakfast because I don't want my kid sitting on the ripped cushions or at the sticky, crumb filled tables. Repair the "ripped to shreds" booth seats! How do you walk past it for years and not get it replaced? Unfortunately, it makes me wonder what else you're looking past in the kitchen. Definitely a step up from their other location as far as the food goes. At least their other location over in Wappingers Falls has a nice seating area, but the food in the case looks old and the bagels with cream cheese made me sick on more than one occasion.

Great fresh bagels and even better prices! It's about $2 for a small coffee, cc, and bagel. Try the everything and the pretzel bagel. They have that great crispy shell and soft interiors...and are huge to boot! If you come on a weekday, the baker's dozens are only $8. I actually brought a pack home and they freeze well so that might be something to keep in mind. Service was also fast and friendly.

I was very disappointed that on a very solemn day in Monroe when we were paying tribute and laying to rest a member of our community, an NYPD Officer, where thousands and thousands came to show their respect, where a sea of blue extended beyond where the eye could see and many were in the lot where Bagel World happens to be. Bagel World was charging $2.00 for a small coffee that wasnt even hot. I think on this one day they could have looked past their profit margin and done the right thing. Give those police officers , some who traveled hours to be here, a free cup of coffee. I hope you will donate the 200% markup to the NYPD.

Two To Three Weeks Ago, I Was Right Next Store To Bagel World. It Was A Saturday, And I Didn't Eat All Day. I Went In, And There Were Two To Three Amazing Young Women There! I Explained It Was My First Time. I Never Knew They Were There For Almost Nine Years, I Was In The Neighborhood. First I-ordered a cup of coffee, it was fantastic! ThanI-Ordered an everything bagel with extra cream cheese, and extra Lox!! I am from Rockland County, I moved up here over 10 years ago. I have never had a bagel better than Rockland County! The bagel and lox I had there, was better than Rockland County! There a bagel and lox, was 100% better ,than Rockland County. To the owner a bagel world, Thumbs Up!! I have continued going there, almost every day from three weeks ago. So I suggest that if you Love Bagels, I do not care how far you live. Come to Bagel World, and give them a chance. Service is excellent as well as the food. When they say 'best when boiled' they're not kidding. One of the best bagels I've ever had! Best place to get breakfast in town. For lunch, I usually go with a chicken salad on a bagel (My favorite). Can't beat it. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu.

I have lived in Monroe for about a year and I have been going to a Bagel Boys the whole time. I decided to try this place with my girlfriend because I had never been there. I couldn't believe how bad the service was. The one guy takes my order and disappears into the back while my girlfriend is standing there. Three girls are literally laughing and skipping around the store, eating, and drinking coffee. We had to ask if she could order and they gave us attitude. All of that and, while not bad, the food is better at Bagel Boys Never going back unless its to order food and leave while it's being made. The food wasn't bad but the service was so bad that I wish the app would let me do less than half a star.

My favorite bagel place ever, I'm sure to get bagels here anytime I'm in the area. Lots of varieties to choose from, but nothing beats an everything flagel. If you don't know what a flagel is check it out on wikipedia, then go buy some.

The bagels here are amazing. Try the french toast bagels as they have a hint of sweetness. My favorite happen to be the egg bagel as they are just soft with a slight crunchy outside. The breakfast sandwiches are also to die for. This is a blunt review, but truthfully these bagels are great. I live in VA now and when I come home I always bring a bakers dozen and freeze them so I can have my delicious Bagel World in Alexandria.

Hold your breath and hope that the long is not out the door because that is a weekend expectation. In all fairness to Bagel World, they have ample help to keep the lines moving but the paying part is a disaster. So many customers by the register that it causes total chaos. Food is good, prices on the bagels are a tad high though. The old grouchy woman behind the counter has yet to crack a smile in the many times I have been there. She is definitely a poster child for the old adage that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile. Keep it real, sourpuss.

We catered breakfast from Bagel World- Monroe while renting a house in Chester, Ny for my husband's birthday weekend. We did the hot buffet and continental. Wow what a spread! Everything was amazing - especially the French toast! Which you would think wouldn't travel well but it did! Ordering was breeze over the phone with Keith. Delivery man was very nice and set up all the sternos and food. It was so much food! And all very presentable and yummy. Highly recommend!! Wish we didn't live so far :(

I love bagel world, it's my go to bagel place in Monroe. The staff is always very friendly and they're able to get through the line quickly even when it's crowded. The only con that I would say is the prices, which recently went up. Except they do now take credit cards which is convenient when you're get a lot of bagels/sandwiches etc.

A nice assortment of salads, wraps, sandwiches and bagels. Not to mention, they have Boar's Head lunchmeat and sell things by the pound. The bagels are cooked on a daily basis, you can really taste the freshness of the bagels. One unique type of bagel they offer is the french toast bagel. I could probably eat a bagel from this place everyday. The only downside is the small amount of seating they have.

Best bagels around. CASH ONLY. Order literally anything off the menu, you will not be disappointed. They have wraps, deli sandwiches, bagels, breakfast sandwiches.

Absurdly overpriced. Just ordered 2 pounds of turkey and 2 pounds of cheese for my 3 year olds birthday party and I was charged $70. When I asked why so expensive, they told me it's higher price for a catering order. Catering? I picked it up at your store and carried it out to the car myself. Will never order from here for parties again, Bagel Boys will be getting my business.

Love this place. Always fresh and delicious bagels, great breakfast and lunch sandwiches and reasonable prices. Most importantly, I have never been to a cafe or restaurant with a nicer staff. They go above and beyond in everything they do and are always so friendly.

Downloaded Yelp because of how disappointed I was with bagel world, have been a customer of bagel world for over 10 years and it has gone downhill, staff is extremely rude and unfriendly, eating area is very dirty and unsanitary, egg sandwiches used to be my favorite from here now eggs are over cooked and order always comes out wrong, sad to say I will no longer be a customer of bagel world

Well went in for two bagels toasted with cream cheese. Simple enough. Saw the bagels put into the toaster, not complicated at all, it was however very busy there was no ticket for my purchase. The lady who took my order was making sandwiches meanwhile I am at 10 minutes looking at my bagel ready for cream cheese being passed around like a baton at the olympics and another attendant asking a co worker who this belongs too. I interject saying it's mine just scallion cream cheese on both. "Well I am working on another customer". People who came after me are walking out with sausage egg and cheeses by the pairs and my SIMPLE scallion cream cheese at this point 15 minutes. No thank you.

This review is for the Central Valley Location which opened a few months ago 3 Major complaints .. 1. Ordered an ice coffee..i added almond milk to it and Curdles plop into my coffee....i show it to the girls behind the counter and told them the almond milk was curdled and asked for a new container of almond milk...They didnt have any so i left with no coffee 2. Without naming names..a female worker with sores on her face was wearing plastic gloves that she kept wiping her face sweat with and proceeded to make orders..after observing that i turned around and left..will never return to this location again..it was stomach turning 3. Female owner extremely unfriendly and does not appreciate anyones business..an owner should acknowledge guests...smile and thank you's..even if its fake..after all we're putting hard earned money in her register And as a side note dont hire heroin addicts to work there...its very unprofessional i gave to stars because some of the girls who work there are very sweet

Love, love, love their bagels here! I live outside the NY area and always need to get a bagel fix when I'm home to see friends and family. Bagel World is the place to go and you'd be hard pressed to find better. I really like their whole wheat everything bagel.

Fantastic. Fresh, thick bagels. Variety of cream cheese. My office loves when I bring these in for everyone. Long lines mornings & weekends. Give yourself extra time.

I've always been impressed by the speed of the service here, so when I showed up today and the line was nearly out the door I decided to start my stopwatch. I placed my order (tosted bagel and large coffee), paid, and was out the door in a little less then 7 minutes. Simply amazing.

We have finally found our local bagel joint! Delicious sandwiches and salads. Breakfast special that includes a small coffee or hot chocolate. This is the only legitimate bagel place we've found close that serves all the basics plus blueberry and flagels. Great value...we will be bagel heroes when we get home if we don't eat them on the ride back!

Great Place. Breakfast selection is everything. Really wasn't expecting Omelets & Home Fries from a Bagel place. Oh & by the way Bagels are great. Going to have to try this place for lunch now!!
