Google
Great place for bagel, coffee, lunch, and drinks. Atmosphere is open. Inside seating and outside available. They even have a small conference room that you can use for a meeting.

Google
Ordered a cappuccino and a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese. The regular cappuccino was a pretty big size, and was nice and frothy, not bitter but good flavor; honestly better than I expected for a place that does not specialize in coffee. The bagel was delicious, perfect chewy NY bagel texture. They put on a lot of cream cheese for my taste, but I won’t complain about generosity in this economy. Everyone working was super friendly and service was fast. As other reviews mention, there is limited 2h parking. There were 30min spots open but I expected to sit awhile, so I parked in the hotel garage. Because I was there less than 2h, it was free and I was only charged a $0.99 service fee, which I was fine with.

We have been coming to Bagels ‘n Grinds for years. The bagels are excellent. Our favorite things to order are the bagel egg and cheese sandwich, bagel avocado toast, and the garden state on a whole wheat bagel. The chai latte and coffees are delicious too! They also put up with our toddlers running around. My son asks to come every week.

This place has become one of my favorite breakfast stops. Fresh bagels of all sorts. Keep in mind that the French Toast Bagel is only served on weekends, so I'm still waiting to try. The music played is a nice pick me up to begin the day. Not to mention, there's always a friendly face behind the counter as well as the patrons. Wish the whole world could be this pleasant.

Google
The food was great! I had the tuna melt on everything wheat bagel and all I have been dreaming of since I tried it is how I need to go back. Service was fantastic, I ordered to go and got both my order of cafe latte (Great taste also) and my melt delivered to me where I sat waiting for my order. Atmosphere was good also as they have sitting both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning

Google
Red velvet cookie was soft and flavorful. Also had a good surface area/depth. Blueberry scone was a little stiff to my touch. The inside matched: it wasn’t soft or rich, however, the flavor was there, Quick and nice service. A lot of seating, it was busy but still had a place to sit. Parking available in garage. Self service coffee did its job.

Google
The service was exactly how it should be—friendly and efficient. This was my first time trying this place, and I absolutely loved it! I ordered the Chicken California without tomatoes and a mocha. I had never tried a mocha before, but theirs was perfect—not too sweet, not too bitter, with just the right balance to enjoy the coffee flavor. It was also creamy without being overly so. I’m definitely coming back and bringing a friend!

Google
The food is good, but a lot of issues with pick up and marketing. It’s a fine bagel place. Besides it’s already incredibly over priced. But, they try to scam customers by telling them on food apps everyone is included… it’s not. I went to pay for a meat bagel with cheese and meat included on u er eats… they then added over a dollar for cheese and over 4 dollars for meat that was SUPPOSED TO BE INCLUDED. Seems like they depend on people making mistakes. Which we have before. Although the food is good enough, it’s not good enough for the prices or the scale they do on apps. You also can’t customize your 15 dollar bagel either, which is a joke. I’m happy to spend 100 dollars on a quality meal or more. But, the false advertising should be illegal.

Yelp
A friend recommended I grab a bagel and coffee from here before hitting the road back to NJ because they know just how much I love good bagels and good coffee .... and the friend was very confident that I would enjoy both stating that they use NY/NJ water to make the bagels (which is key to a great bagel bc it's just something in our water that gives the bagels the perfect amount of pull and "bite") ... I trusted this friend so I made it my business to pop in for a bagel and iced coffee and it was at that point that my skepticism kicked in lol ... bc the bagels did not look like NJ/NY bagels . The place itself has a nice setup for ordering and a wide variety of bagels and even had signage for bialys which is also a favorite of mine however they were either sold out of them or didn't have any prepared when I was there. I ordered my go to ... a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee ... and I patiently waited. The iced coffee setup was really cool where you prepare your own and they have all the sweeteners and dairy options you can think of ... and the iced coffee itself was GOOD! My bagel was finally ready and an employee brought it over to my table .... first impressions from looks ... this bagel is going to be dry and there's barely any cream cheese on it .... but I took a bite ... SURPRISE! The bagel was actually perfect ... nice amount of chew with the perfect "bite" in the outer crust and while I would've preferred more cream cheese it was really delicious cream cheese so it made up for the amount in the bagel. I texted my friend saying the bagel and coffee were both amazing and I will be sure to visit this place anytime I am in the area again and need breakfast!

Yelp
I stopped by Bagels n Grinds for a Meetup event, and I'll will say that I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the Bagel & Coffee (or rather, grinds) folks were for our group. I'm assuming that the group organizer has something set up with the folks at Bagels n Grinds because the shop gave us our own section to chat. Unfortunately, I was meeting someone for lunch after the even so I did not get a chance to try any of the goodies that Bagels 'n Grinds has to offer. However, I did enjoy a couple delicious cafes americanos. I did appreciate that the shop has a huge variety of bagels. I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of having to immediately enter the line as soon as you enter the shop. However, I guess that's smart on their end because as you go through the line, you'll probably order something before fully entering the dining/drinking area. For the area, I thought the prices were fine. Unfortunately, there is not much parking in the little shopping center, which isn't Bagels n Grinds' fault. There is a parking garage affiliated with the hotel, but I'm not 100% if you have to be a guest of the hotel to park in the garage. Fortunately for me, someone was leaving, and I nabbed their parking spot behind the shop. Looking forward to returning to try a bagel or two.

Yelp
Always pleased here. They were busy when I went on a Saturday morning . They were friendly the place was still clean and they had all the bagels in stock. My veggie breakfast sandwich was delicious I chose to get it on a black and white bagel. These bagels are so good.

Yelp
First time here after dropping the boys off for their vet appt. Needed some good breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. Nice and cool inside on a hot summer morning. Walked by the dough being made for their bagels when you first entered. Super polite front of house workers. We ordered an eggstremely meaty on everything with cream cheese. So good! I had the Brooklyn on an onion bagel. Solid but harder to eat with the thick layer of cream cheese. We will return for sure Jake n kev

Yelp
This place is way better than the rating on here!! Great bagels made on site.. and the bakery options are delicious too. Our regular order is the breakfast egg sandwiches but I've also gotten the lox! And every time we come by (which is almost weekly) We HAVE to get a strawberry muffin and peanut butter cookie. And I always get the parfait. Seriously, can't go wrong. And their coffee is amazing too - lots of options - both for brew and milk/creamer too. Service is great too - if you eat there, they bring the food to you. Overall just very friendly. The inside is clean, lots of seating inside and out. Lolol you can tell it's one of our favs.

Yelp
This is my go to breakfast spot when I visit the Baltimore/ Washington area and need breakfast on the go. Bagels 'n Grinds is conveniently located directly across from The Hotel, which is where I stay whenever I'm in town visiting family and friends. Their hours are 6am- 2pm daily. They offer coffee drinks, bagels, wraps, sandwiches salads, soups and sweets. We always order online and pick up our food since it is in the same strip as our hotel. My husband always gets a coffee and The extremely meaty breakfast bagel. I always order the garden state as a wrap. I appreciate being able to customize my order to get it exactly the way I like it. If you sign up with them they will send you exclusive offers and promotions so don't forget to sign up. Every time I've visited the food is fresh and tasty and the coffee is good too. The ambiance is relaxing and a great place to sit and enjoy your food. I look forward to my next visit so I can try more menu items.

Yelp
Food was great, quick service. I had avocado toast on an everything bagel, it was perfect! Easy parking, clean, convenient. I gave 4 stars because the staff could have been a bit friendlier.

Yelp
I arrived mid-morning for a quick to-go breakfast. It was pretty crowded with almost every table occupied. It appeared to be about 10-12 tables and a small sectioned off conference area in the back. The conference area was the only unoccupied seating at the time. The line was pretty long, but ran efficiently, so the wait to order was not very long. Prior to visiting, I reviewed the online menu, so I already had a basic idea about what to order. Once I determined that I could deviate from the items on the menu, I created my own bagel sandwich. The staff member who took my order was cordial and helpful. They had a decent array of bagels, so much so that I went with a selection that I typically would not choose. But again, it was a hard decision because they all looked so fresh and appealing. I ordered an egg white on a sun-dried tomato bagel with a light amount of butter. I also ordered an iced coffee, which was actually self-serve. The beverage station was clean and featured all of the items needed to make a good iced coffee. Since it was so crowded and people were steadily coming in, it was a short wait for the food to be ready, but it was not too bad. The bagel was very good. The sun-dried tomato added the mild tart taste that I really enjoy about sun-dried tomato. The bagel was the right texture on the inside and outside. The egg white was fluffy and cooked just how I like it. I also appreciated that they cut the sandwich into two halves and did not leave it whole. I made the iced coffee, so it was just right. I'll have to return at another time to try one of the other bagel flavors.

Yelp
The quality of their bagels has definitely declined. The holes are far too large and the bagels are flat. Like the dough is too loose, or hasn't risen properly. Too expensive considering their quality control issues.

Yelp
On the road traveling from Alexandria VA to Vermont, I found this establishment on Yelp. I called to place my order and was put on hold for so long that I hung up and called back. No answer. Attempted to place an order online but avocado toast dropdown protein menu options did not include egg. Having exhausted all time-saving options, I ordered in person, opting for a standard menu item to move things along and get back on the road - veggie sandwich on an everything bagel. Pre-tipped $1. The place seemed adequately staffed and friendly, and I didn't have to wait too long for the sandwich. When I was back on the highway and opened the sandwich, it was the wrong order. Sigh.

Yelp
My first time eating at Bagels n Grinds my visit was short and sweet the staff was quick the interior was small I ordered the Garden State on a plain bagel. I will try something different next time I go. The bagel was so good and fluffy the Eggs tomatoes and spinach made my bagel so soggy and mushy very unpleasant to eat. I couldn't finish it. So be mindful that if you don't like soggy bagels stir clear on this one.

Yelp
extremely long line n wait. coffees are more than 9$. bagels are like 4$ piece The prices are pretty high

Yelp
I recently got the garden breakfast sandwich with the jalapeno cheddar bagel. I really like this one. They do a good job with the garden breakfast sandwich. I have ordered their blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese as well. I have tried their hashbrown too its good but not anything spectacular. Pretty standard service. The bagels are good they have tons of options and have a good selection for cream cheese as well. There is a decent menu for their coffee choices they can do speciality coffees along with drip with different types of drip coffee to choose from. Their bagels are better than average but not the best I've had. Still worth checking out if you are in the area.

Yelp
Stopped in after early interview. Ordered an onion bagel and hash brown with large coffee. Also got the lox spread on the bagel. First the coffee was lukewarm and I asked them to put it in the microwave. The cost was $13.21 so kinda high. I asked them to toast the bagel and it was crispy but not really warm. The hash brown was barely average. The servers were pleasant so can't blame them. I would rate them 2.5 stars but have to indicate 3.

Yelp
For the longest time, I've wondered why NY pizza and bagels are so superior to other states. Bagel 'n Grinds would suggest it's the water. Here, they have their own in-house water treatment to ultra-purify and remineralize the local Maryland water to taste like that of New York's. I'm not totally convinced it was just like the bagels from home, but these are pretty good. I love that there's a windowed cutout by the waiting line that peers into the kitchen where fresh bagels are being made. I ordered an egg and cheddar sandwich on a sesame bagel and was surprised by how big and fluffy the egg layer was. Service at the counter is quick and efficient, with a good variety of bagels to choose from. We loved the quiet, cozy vibes of the dining area, where there are plenty of tables and sofas to lounge around and chat over breakfast.

Yelp
Great coffee great wrap and great customer service. The young man was very cordial and helpful and seem happy to be at work. I went back to tip them but they closed at 2pm. I owe u next time.

Steven L.

Yelp
Fresh, wide variety of delicious bagels. Incredibly friendly and competent staff. Great atmosphere, its like what Starbucks used to be but far cozier. Those muffins? The greatest. Breakfast sandwiches, bagel bucks, chai tea lattes, they have everything here!
google avatar

Marisa E.

Yelp
My husband and I both got the Brooklyn with capers on the jalapeño cheddar bagel which is basically known as a nova lox in other shops. Although it was good, I didn't think it was anything special and couldn't tell much difference in bagels (maybe texture is slightly different). For 2 Brooklyn with capers and 1 coffee it costed $31 which to me is a little expensive.

Yelp
I got my order for pickup and its sooo good! Gets busy in the morning so its best to order online
google avatar

Katy P.

Yelp
Happened to be nearby so we popped into one of our old favorites... something has changed. The bagels are flat and have giant holes. Not NY style anymore. The bagel chefs were blaring music in the kitchen. Service was adequate but nothing to write home about. A far cry from early Bagels and Grinds days.
google avatar

Jackie N.

Yelp
Stopped here for something to eat. We got Chai tea latte, two orange juices, and cappuccino. The drinks were okay, nothing to rave about. For food, we got: Eggstremely meat California chicken Brooklyn The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing stood out to us, and the bagels were great, but they took an oddly amount of time to come out. They have restrooms around the corner from the register.
google avatar

Dre A.

Yelp
Order: Blueberry Bagel w/blueberry cream cheese Meat bagel sandwich Lox n egg sandwich Ordered with Asiago, which was sad looking because it was lacking Asiago on the bagel. They left out cream cheese that we requested for the sandwiches and tasted awful. Not satisfied, just run of the mill typical chain style bagel shop. Always mess up orders. Service/Ambiance: n/a had carry out order.

Yelp
Everything was delicious and the service was great! Food was ready super fast and the smoothie was a tropical delight! Great location! Definitely stop by!

Yelp
Great bagel sandwich and reasonably priced. Better bagels than Panera. Would come again.

Yelp
This place advertised that it has NY Style Bagels so, as a NY native, I had to give it a try... Overall, they have some really good bagels. They have a great flavor and a bunch of classic NY bagel flavors and options. The bagels were not as thick and doughy as a top-tier NY bagel, but it still tasted good. I ordered a bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was great. A bit small, I would have appreciated some more meat for a $10 breakfast sandwich but overall happy with the qualify. Some small improvements: I wish they had an egg everything bagel, and they mixed the sausage and bacon into the egg (rather than stratifying it and just putting the ingredients on different layers) which was a little strange.

Yelp
Not great. Should've just gotten breakfast at the wawa across the street. Service was nice just slow. I don't think I'll be back.
google avatar

Cas N.

Yelp
I love coming here. The atmosphere is low key and I love the natural lighting. The customer service is pretty middle of the road. Not overtly polite but not rude either. But the food and coffee are really good. I love getting veggie and cheese on a power bagel with low fat cream cheese. And the Jamaican me crazy coffee is so good and has low acidity.
google avatar

June K.

Yelp
Good solid bagels. I especially loved their sriracha cream cheese and they have friendly service. Can't go wrong.
google avatar

Arnus M.

Yelp
Overall, a serviceable choice. LOCATION A bit challenging to get to, and shares parking with Añejo Rose and adjacent hotel, so musical chairs. 3/5 EATS Good offering of bagel sandwiches - but they are pricier than other bagel places. Like the coffee station, with sweetener and dairy/non dairy dispensers. 4/5 SERVICE There's only one place to order and pay, so the queue grows quickly. It takes a minute to place your order - but the food was served with a smile and was hot. 3/5. AESTHETIC It does the best it can with the space. There is a conference area, and many businesses appear to make this an impromptu/ ad hoc meeting place. The service crew is on the job, clearing away empty trays and trash at the right time without being obtrusive. 4/5 OVERALL A bit of a drive to get to, and tough parking. But the food, though a bit pricey, is served hot and the atmosphere is serviceable.

Yelp
Bagels and Grinds is a nice place to stop for a bagel normally. Nice little space in a beautiful community of 295. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese but it was not toasty and barely warmed. Others with me had the same concern and one asked to have it heated. Cream cheese was a little thin not the same consistency I expected. Is also visited the restroom and it was a little unkept which was disappointing. I'll be back because prior experiences were good. Hopefully a bad day.

Yelp
Went to Maryland for a conference. Decided to get some bagels with coffee cause it was way too early not to have any food. The coffee was good (not too bitter/not too sweet). The bagel was average. I got it toasted with lox spread. I wish they would have put more lox spread on the bagel and usually I give higher ratings to those kinds of bagel shops. I also wish the bagel would taste less salty (there was way too much salt). Definitely a nice and average place to visit for breakfast if you are in the area.

Yelp
Followed a sign from the highway. Pretty freaking amazing! Coffee was exceptional. Bought extra bagels for the score!! {{*.*}}

Yelp
I love this restraint it is amazing. It has great bagels and coffee. And the order is fast .

Yelp
Great New York style bagels, crisp outside and chewy inside. You can see the whole bagel making process in the store! Tried the sun dried tomato bagel with egg, they have a wide variety of bagels, including a power bagel with various grains. Hope to try the strawberry muffin next time! Ordering online is easy too.

Yelp
Loved it, got the Leo with Asiago cheese bagel. The bagel itself tastes amazing and everything tastes fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Discovered this place cause i was trying to fins places that partnered with one of my credit cards for points. Had the eggstremely meaty breakfast sandwich and the lox bagel. The bagels are very good and sandwiches are ok. Nothing special. Also tried the California chicken with avocado, which was solid. When you first walk it it does give off a coffee shop vibe kinda lkke starbucks. There is lace to sit and chill or you can take the food on the go. The service was here was good the person at the register was very knowledgeable. The OJ is not Freshly squeezed but still solid juice. Ive also had the chai which was very solid as well. Overall had a good experience and would definitely go back again.

Yelp
I've been eating breakfast here for 2 years pretty much every day. Friendly staff, clean proteins, great crispy bagels (especially bagels at 6am in the morning). And finally their espresso bar, very good quality coffee beans.
google avatar

Yelp
I grew up in NJ, so I know a good bagel. We stopped by for a quick bite to eat on the way home from the airport. These bagels were just okay. While the lady at the counter was friendly and masked, someone else behind the counter was unmasked and talked right over the bagel case with some unmasked customers. Why have marks on the floor indicating social distancing if you don't even require masks? We got our bagels and sat outside at the few tables on the sidewalk out front. Like I said, they were okay at best. Not much flavor and the hole in the bagel was huge. You can preorder so you can just pick up, though there's not much in the way of parking to quickly run in.

Yelp
Great place for high quality bagels and coffee. Fast and polite service. 4.8 stars The good. Wide variety of bagels and baked goods. A bagel breakfast sandwich is one of my favorite meals so I had to try this place, they did not disappoint. The sandwich h only includes egg but it was reasonable to add bacon and cheese. Also got a double shot of expresso which was on point. Upgraded sandwich was $7.49 and the expresso was $3.71 The bad. The everything bagel was heavy on the salt. Mixed with the salty bacon, it was a bit much. The bagel itself was fresh and great so it wasn't a deal breaker The ugly. I'm sure if I came regularly I'd find my perfect combo but I was impressed with the selection and taste. Definitely the best place for breakfast or lunch around! 4.8 stars

Shelley R.

Yelp
We had our post-wedding breakfast/brunch at Bagels 'n Grinds in Hanover. The food and drinks were delicious, and Sonia, the general manager, was a pleasure to work with to coordinate this Sunday morning celebration. Angel, the manager on duty that day, and her staff were so accommodating and welcoming to our guests. It was a great experience!
google avatar

Donyiel C.

Yelp
Great coffee and even better bagels! Not much parking out front but there is a parking garage. Recently stopped by while in the area. I got a jalapeño cheddar bagel toasted with butter. It was fresh and filling! Well for me at least. I'm not big on breakfast but figured if I'm going to a bagel spot, I should try their bagels and they got plenty to choose from! There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly! Service was really good. Friendly and personable employees. They have limited seating available. I placed a take-out order and was in and out! The prices are decent! There's a location in College Park which is closer to home so I'll be checking them out!

Yelp
Fresh delicious bagels the staff here is welcoming and amazing............. the ambience is chill and inviting........

Jon C.

Yelp
Ordered my bagel, specifically asked for it to be double toasted. Came out not even warm. Sent it back and 20 min later they bring me the exact same sandwich un toasted yet again. Gave me attitude when I just asked for my money back. Just poor customer service
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered on Uber eats and liked the hash browns but I ordered the Leo which in the description says "lox, egg and onion"... this is not what I think anyone would expect when they order LOX. I've made gravlax from scratch before and eaten it at many restaurants and no one who orders a lox sandwich would ever want it cooked in an egg. It smells horrible. I was expecting a bagel with gravlax salmon with like a fried egg with runny yolk and red onions on top. I would've never order this if I knew I'd get a gross smelling omelet on a bagel.

Yelp
Stopped here Christmas Eve on a road trip back home and all 4 of us were super impressed. I had a bacon egg and cheese, banana bread, coffee and it was all spectacular. Way better here than a Starbucks or something
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I just love this spot! Not big by any means but much better than competitors in the surrounding area. Delicious bagels, salads and sandwiches! So fun to walk in the door and see the bagels being made! Asiago with blueberry cream cheese is amazingly delish! Everything bagel egg sandwich is yummy. Perfect amount of seasonings on the Everything bagel. Chicken salad is a go to for lunch. My mom absolutely loves it. Employees are always friendly. Line moves quickly. I highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
Love the location! Very nice spot with lots of options to eat. Love the avocado toast and the caramel frozen drink was delicious

Yelp
We stopped here this morning and ordered an Eggstremely Meaty and Garden State, both were delicious. I loved their sign above the menu about NY bagels (and I gotta say, pretty accurate -- a little crunch with a chewy center!). The staff was friendly and helpful (we didn't know what we wanted when we got to the front of the line but they were still patient with us) and the indoor/outdoor seating was ample to find a spot with some privacy or mix it up with the locals. Will definitely come here again!
