I ordered of the 12 dozen bagel package, which is a great deal. The order was ready quickly and it was packed efficiently. I can be skeptical when going to establishments where the front of the house is mostly run by young people other than fast food joints. However, I am always pleasantly surprised how smoothly things run. The boss seems to have taken great care in training these youngsters and it shows with their friendly customer service and vibrant attitudes. The place itself is unpretentious. Maybe consider a fresher look with a nice menu on the wall and some automation. I’m from a different generation so if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

About a week ago, I called for a last-minute mini catering order, and I was pleasantly surprised by their service. The lady who answered took my number and told me that the manager would call right back for details. When he did, I explained that I needed a catering lunch order within the next hour or so. He assured me that he would get it ready and would call me when it was done. The order was ready within just 20 to 30 minutes. The assorted sandwiches were nicely arranged in a nice box, while the condiments were provided in a separate bag. When I opened the box, everyone was eager to grab a sandwich, and they all tasted fantastic. By the time I remembered to take a picture, the food was all gone. This place really delivered on both service and quality!

Google
I honestly thought they closed for good. Don't know if it's still owned by Jewish people. But the food especially the bagels are still fresh and surprisingly affordable. The 3x I ordered (2x Uber eats) the food was fresh, followed instructions, hot, and on time. The 1x I went in person they was about to close. It was around noon. The man gave me a courtesy bagel. That was a nice gesture. Not fast food. Good food

Google
One of the few real bagel spots left in city, let alone the Bronx! They bake their own bagels 🥯 and offer a variety of sandwiches and schmears, coffee and juices. Grab and go kind of place - go early because they sell out of certain bagels by 11 am!

MICHAEL LECOINTE

Google
Freshly made bagel, cream cheese, lox, peanut butter, real eggs, bacon absolutely no complaints. I go out of my way in the morning to my breakfast and coffee. Dunkin donut had no busy opening next door. Because of that i will never buy from then anywhere, anymore!!!!

Google
Came in at about 9:30am-9:40am on a Wednesday place was busy. Decided to order anyway thinking it would be quick since the menu is pretty simple. The gentleman taking orders at the register was nice and I ordered right away, but he seemed overwhelmed. Most likely because the place is disorganized. I own a restaurant and have worked in high volume delivery and takeout places; I’m telling you now their takeout/delivery and order taking process is all over the place, it’s a mess. Waited about 15-20 minutes for an egg and cheese on a roll and a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Felt like a long wait in my opinion for simple sandwiches. Food Flavor was underwhelming and I paid $11.50 for both sandwiches which is overpriced for Bronx prices honestly and also how bad the food was. Lastly, the owners are very nice, but that shorter Latina/Hispanic girl that works there is very rude and always has an attitude. She’s there every time I’ve been and she’s never been any different, worst employee in terms of customer service, but she does work hard so I’ll give her that. You’re better off going to Capri Deli on the other side of the shopping mall. Food’s better and customer service is much nicer.

Google
I'm disappointed with the food. This place use to give you nice size French toast with extra bacon. Now they give you two skinny breads and two slices of bacon. I've been a customer for years. I understand the prices go up but the food should remain the same. Not more money and less food. Doesn't make sense. The service is still great. Wonderful staff.

Google
I love these bagels!!!!. I got breakfast and lunch because I had a training class that I couldn’t leave for so we had to bring food. I got the egg and cheese on a plain bagel and then a chicken salad with lettuce tomato and onion on an everything…… soooo good and addicting. Really addicting I’m actually going back tomorrow for another chicken salad. Will definitely continue to go here.

Yelp
So happy to see this business still thriving. I used to come here years ago when I worked in this area. They still have the best bagels in the Bronx if you ask me. I also see that you can now get a whole meal as well. There isn't much to write about here because little needs to be said. If you're in this area I definitely say grab a couple of bagels. They are super fresh and delicious. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!
google avatar

Yelp
I understand there are new owners. They've changed their recipe or baking methods or something and the bagels are just plain wrong. Soft. Fluffy. Squishy. Puffy. I'm so, so sad.
google avatar

Erickson R.

Yelp
I went once to try their bagels, but there prices are too much for simple bagel and sandwiches.

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Pretty good bagel, good assortment and reasonably priced friendly staff with a to the point menu however I would suggest calling ahead. It does get quite busy in there on the weekends, especially .

Yelp
The ordering is great. Sanitary etc. That's what the three stars are for. Bagel was a regular bagel. Reminds me of ordering off the coffee carts in the city during the 80's and 90's before going to school. What you put on a bagel MATTERS. The tuna had no veggies. No powdered seasonings to make up for lack of veggies....not even a lil garlic powder and onion powder. Also it's was a lil smear of tuna. I could not finish it. That's not a NY tuna on bagel. The veggie cream cheese tasted good, it was just missing half the serving size. Great for kids grabbing something before school or the older folks grabbing something to gab over. I will give this a pass.

Yelp
This place is very easy to miss but I'm glad I found it. I called to order and then went to pick up. Btw it's the sidewalk portion of the mini mall near the Dunkin' Donuts, not inside near the parking lot. *for anyone else like me and can't figure it out * Anyways, when I found it there was a line outside, despite it being bone chilling cold. That's always a good sign. I picked up my order, bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. So simple but so easy to mess up. I'm glad I was not disappointed. The bagel tasted fresh, chewy but not gummy, and the everything seasoning was everything with that hint of salt that so many others miss causing them to fall flat. The bacon ratio was perfect cause we all know places tend to be stingy. My only complaint was the egg ratio was sparse. It looked like there was literally one large egg on it, not 2 or even a jumbo or something. But I was satisfied. I'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
Good fresh bagels and coffee conveniently located off of i95 in Co-Op City NY. The service is fast as they have enough clerks ready to put your order together. I first stumbled upon this little Bagel Spot while doing deliveries for Uber eats. Some one way across town ordered half a dozen bagels from here. This is the first place I've ever had a Turkey Bacon BLT and I've been hooked on them ever Since. BAGLES on Bartow is a awesome stop for breakfast. In and out.

Jerry J.

Yelp
Great place. Delicious sandwich. If you like bacon. Youll go banana. Friendly atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
It's okay not a fan. Dry sandwich the bagels aren't good either. Service was slow but the people were nice.

Yelp
When I lived in Co-op City, I loved stopping here for a toasted buttered bagel brekkie before heading off to elementary school. Their bagels are so fresh and they prepare your order exactly as you specify. Asking for extra butter will definitely get you a heaping portion of butter. They have everything from cinnamon raisin bagels to mini bagels and even bialys. They also have breakfast sandwiches and beverages. It's a small establishment but better than the Dunkin Donuts around the corner.
google avatar

Alice K.

Yelp
Good bagels! Tiny place around the corner from the Dunkin' - worth finding. Had a sesame bagel with vegan cream cheese and a coffee. Tasty and fresh. Nice staff and quick service. Will be back! (Could be a bit more tidy and the menu sign is looking pretty tired.)

Elaine E.

Yelp
Best bagels ever! They close early so do not hesitate. My favorite is the egg bagel.
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
Rude, unfriendly girl at the register aside, the bagels are just ok. They're not inedible or anything, but they're very fat, doughy, bready, soft bagels and lack the flavor and chew I personally prefer in NY bagels. The scallion cream cheese I got was almost all cream cheese with only a little scallion mixed in. It has very little scallion flavor, and I would not recommend. I can understand that people would go here bc the bagel options are scarce in the area, but in my opinion, it's def not a 4 or 5 star bagel by any stretch of the imagination.

Yelp
Bagels are great , been going here since I was a kid ....... But the wait times can sometimes be ridiculous. At times they will have 7-8 people working there , they should be pumping out orders quickly . A few weeks ago I waited almost twenty minutes for a toasted bagel with cream cheese . Please work on your wait times guys !
google avatar

Bianca B.

Yelp
Doesn't seem like much from the outside and can be easy to miss if you're not looking or local. Bagels are hard to come by around here and Bartow is a staple. I go once a week and have never had a bad experience or bagel here. The owners and employees are personable and usually know regulars' orders. They have some great deals when ordering online as well. The line can get long at times so I usually order ahead and have it ready for me to pick up. Their cream cheeses are good as well, as are the sandwiches they make and breakfast platters are good as well

Yelp
Been here several times and can not believe I don't have a review here yet. For those that don't know, my wife is proudly from the Bronx, NY and she and my mother-in-law have timelessly introduced me to the life of Bagels on Bartow, Inc. I typically get the turkey sausage, egg & cheese! Or the everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. Did I mention their bagels are baked fresh everyday??!! Yup! They also have a section of Boar's Head meat section. Plus the desserts on top to close out the meal. When I came this time, I noticed the art work of the menu was gone and their presentation game has stepped up tremendously! The menu has lost that community - we-create-it-here feel, BUT we all need to evolve at some point. They're business growth is fine by me if it means they keep the quality of their food and the high level of engaged service to their customers. Within the first few seconds of me being in this establishment, I noticed the menu on the top wall gone and said, "what happened to the beautiful art wall menu?" and one of the employees joked with me saying "the customers need to see the beautiful new paint." That type of involvement means something to me. And I was glad to experience that today.

Yelp
Listen. Bagels on Bartow incite nostalgia deep in my soul. I've been getting fresh, hot, delicious bagels from them since I was a young girl running rampant in the streets of Co-Op City. They have always had the freshest bagels of anywhere else I've traveled. They are always freshly made on the premises. I used to always get a hot garlic, everything or raisin bagel with butter to go. They've never disappointed me. Not as a youth nor as an adult. The quality hasn't even gone down over the decades of service they have provided. The staff continues to be and always has been AWESOME!! Hence, the 5 star review. If you're in the area and hungry stop in for a bite, you'll thank me later! Sheesh, if you live in NJ and happen upon this place, grab me a mixed dozen, drop it off and I'll give it right back to you ! :) #IPromise

Yelp
Great spot for a bagel sandwich and coffee it's a small place but the bagels are fresh and made on premise. The owners are very friendly and keep the shop very clean. The prices are reasonable , check this place out if your ever in Bartow Co Op city highly recommended

Yelp
Hot dang! We were on our way to Rhode Island for work and found ourselves driving through New York and hungry. I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and bagel places kept popping up. We were in the Bronx and I'm like, okay let's just do it. Bagels on Bartow was it, we found parking at a meter out front and walked in. Super hole in the wall joint and right up our alley. We asked all the questions and the girl behind the counter was So helpful. We picked our two breakfast sandwiches and got a free bagel for checking in with Yelp, yay! My total came to like $8 or $9 and that made me jump for joy! Such a cheap breakfast and I was so full after. I went with the pumpernickel bagel and boy was that a win. Guys, I wish I could eat that bagel every day but I live in Ohio! This was such a wonderful find, if we head that way again, I'm stopping and getting a dozen for the road!

Yelp
I've been eating at this location for a long time, the quality has been steadily going down. They need to change their oils. The food tastes like its been using the same oils over and over. After certain degrees the oil can be damaging to your GI system. We've all had bouts of diarrhea in our home after eating from here in the morning. They simply need to be on top of this. They need better quality bacon and not fry it to death. Bacon, egg and cheese is a morning staple. The bacon is hard/burnt and tasteless. I would pay a few cents more for better bacon and cook that wont burn it to a cinder. Taste, after all is important. More variety of bagels would be appreciated. They know their business and know what sells and what doesn't, but some more artisan and varied flavors would be highly appreciated. They are a friendly bunch and when the store was open before Covid the vibe was a good one. Delivery for the most part is fast and friendly. However, the few things I mentioned above are serious infractions in my book. I cant blindly recommend a local joint (as much as Id love to) when they cant get the fundamentals straight.

Marcos C.

Yelp
This mornings visit was a disappointment I asked for a full size everything bagel with egg salad and a large coffee. The coffee was good but the sand which was a joke very few drops of egg salad . I would have to think twice before going back that sandwhich this morning was def not worth the money today .

Rick P.

Yelp
The Best bagels in the Bronx... I would go as far as NYC. Not a fancy place, more like a hole in the wall that specializes in breakfast and unbelievable great tasting bagel and spreads. Very hard to find a great tasting bagel. This is it. My favorite is the cinnamon raisin bagel. Owner of this location hires people from its community which shows that he cares. Very nice personality. This place opens very early and there is people waiting in line to order. You can order ahead to reduce the wait time .

Yelp
Sooooo I ordered the blueberry bagel w cream cheese & it was pretty tasty. This shop has all of the great breakfast treats you would want & great sandwiches for lunch. They are adhering to the COVID requirements & this is a take out establishment. Prices are great & you won't be disappointed. The staff is friendly & I will be back again! Stay safe guys!

Carlos B.

Yelp
Hands down best Bagel spot in the area. A little small but if your in the area well worth the visit. Breakfast is reasonable and cubed home fries are to die for.

Yelp
Here we go again. Yet another place that showcases the phenomenon of Asian bagel making. This time it's in Co-op city. They cracked the code that went into making Mexican food. They figured out the secrets of Latin food. They are now making headway into the science of creating a good Jewish bagel. Although Bagels on Bartow is not quite there yet, it definitely seems like a harbinger of things to come. Co-op city seems to be a little Utopia of sorts so I'm sure many of the residents would rather eat within the bubble rather than venture out to greener pastures. This place is located in one of Co-op city's many shopping centers. The bagels here were ok. Nothing special. I had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. They were out of their specialty jalapeno cream cheese. Something tells me that this place is usually out of a lot of specialty cream cheeses even though they post them on the menu board. The bagel itself was decent enough. Had a crunchy outside and soft inside. They're learning. The place is rather small with some table seating but no bathrooms. One wonders whether this trend of bagel making from the far east will continue. I've no problems with it if they can produce an above average product. That remains to be seen.

Yelp
Bagels On Bartow does it right time and time again. Bagels On Bartow has a great, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Every single thing I've tried so far is incredibly good. Crew is very courteous and will help you with everything. Happy Bagels On Bartow customer every single time.
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh baked bagels.... Who can ask for more? Unless you prefer shipped frozen bagels then you can find that elsewhere.
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
If you want a bagel/bagel sandwich, this place is great. Authentic/class New York bagels that taste great and at a great price. Anyone looking for somewhere to get breakfast should definitely check it out.

Yelp
My fiancé was in the mood for bagels and found this place. I had an idea of where I was but didn't initially see if when we pulled up. It's located in a strip mall but around the corner. It definitely a weird location in the strip mall. When we walked in I definitely wasn't impressed. It looked like a run down joint. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel bc the cream cheese did not look good. There are only like 4 tables in the place so seating is very limited. We waiting for someone to leave to get a seat. The food didn't take long. Once I started eating I knew that the bagels aren't made on location. Food was edible but I felt they gave me one egg and 2 strips of bacon. It was extremely dry bc of that. Not worth the drive to Bartow.

Yelp
Twice in 1 week I was very disappointed with my experience here.. The first thing was a dish called the ASCH loop. It is described as: seasoned potatoes, sausage, egg and cheese. Sounded good. When I got to work I opened up the container and found mostly potatoes mixed with pieces of sausage, browned ( over cooked ) egg pieces and some cheese that obviously melted into the entire mess. Nothing but the potatoes was really recognizable and the entire visual presentation was like someone dumped all of this food mush into a container and closed the lid quickly. The next day I figured I would just go back to a sesame bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Well, that's what I ordered. When I got to work I opened up my bag to a plain bagel with butter. I paid $5.50 for a large coffee and this? Called Bagels on Bartow and staff did say that the kitchen incorrectly labeled the bag. So someone that wanted a plain bagel with butter got my toasted sesame with veggie cream cheese ? After traveling to work ( about an hour later) the plain bagel was tasteless and the butter did nothing to help the matter. I was told that I could get back the price difference of this order and what I ordered. Thanks, and I will do this. However for 2 days in a row my breakfast was ruined and not at a cheap price. Like I said, bagels are good, but they gotta do better with the orders, and I don't even know what the solution is to that "ASCH loop" thing.

Donna T.

Yelp
Ruined my last two orders, giving me other people's orders and overcharging me. Then played the blame game among staff. Did not apologize or display empathy even tho I order from them on a daily basis. Poor customer service will always be the deal breaker for me. I am very disgusted
google avatar

Sinéad G.

Yelp
Amazing fresh baked bagels. This place is a life saver in the morning before work,I simply call in my order and it's ready in minutes! My family and I are never disappointed!
google avatar

Fatgirlnewsletter B.

Yelp
I'm not really a breakfast person but if I'm having a local breakfast it is here. The service is awesome! The bagels are delicious, they have just enough chewiness. I love them! Their white fish salad is some of the best. If they get an order wrong they are happy to correct it for you, sounds like a given but someplaces will argue with the customer for their wrong. As I am typing, I realize I would like a white fish salad on a toasted sesame bagel with lettuce and onions. Yummers!
google avatar

Efrain A.

Yelp
Love this place. Bagels are great and coffee is good. My bro in law loves the home fries lol. I fully recommend!
google avatar

Diana B.

Yelp
I didn't even realize this place was here. I just love traditionally made fresh bagels. Freshly made bagels made constantly yum. I had the multigrain everything with cream cheese. I cant wait to try their other flavors like egg, raisin, blueberry and they Also make sandwiches for lunch.

Delano M.

Yelp
I just worst experience I've ever had ordering breakfast, I order from bagels on Bartow at 10:23 got there at 11:10 & my sandwich still wasn't ready. I thought things couldn't get any worst but it did, the attitude of the chaser towards me said she didn't care. I couldn't help but to realize that bagels on Bartow has not one African American working on staff. I couldn't help but to feel that if I was white that the cashiers attitude towards me would've been different, maybe I'm reaching but I can't help the way how everything played out made me feel
google avatar

Joat F.

Yelp
best bagel shop ever!!! been going here since before I was born. the bagels are so soft and fresh EVERY SINGLE TIME! you even get to watch how its made. will forever love this place. if they ever closed I would be distraught. wish I still lived in the area

Yelp
The bagels brought @ this location is the best tasted bagels I have eaten. The customer service is excellent.
google avatar

Cynthia E.

Yelp
Tiny place but the bagels are excellent. They're freshly baked, soft and flavorful. Their coffee is also very good. I visit this place regularly when I'm going on a shopping trip to the mall. We don't have many fresh bagel places in the Bronx so this spot is much appreciated by me.
google avatar

Brandi E.

Yelp
Quick service and amazing bagels! I'm really glad they deliver as well! #1 breakfast spot on this side of the Bronx.
google avatar

Stephen B.

Yelp
I love this place. Ive been coming here for yesrs. Everything used to be super cheap then they upper there business management sense. Still afforadable and perfect customer service. Plus they deliver

Janna R.

Yelp
Love this place! Their bagels are amazing! All of their spread is really good. I love their specials! Definitely worth coming here for bagels. It's so conveniently located.
google avatar

Stuart N.

Yelp
Good prices & friendly service & fantastic bagels. I particularly love the bialys here. This store has been in the same location for about 45 years, and while ownership changes, the quality of bagels here remains excellent. Dunkin Donuts just moved in next door. Avoid them, Bagels on Bartow is the real thing, much, much better than Dunkin. For other items, like pastries & food that blows away Dunkin, walk a short distance to Palombo.

Morgan K.

Yelp
ive been here a few times and once they put a coffee in a paper bag and it spilled all over the bagels i got but they fixed it for free...but today takes the cake of me NEVER going back. theres nothing like a side of plastic wrap with my lox bagel i literally couldve has choked
google avatar

Rafael V.

Yelp
It amazes me that Dunkin' Donuts gets business with this place right next door. Delicious fresh bagels and other items, incredible fresh coffee, and a nice friendly staff. I guess people like mediocrity ‍ come here if you want superiority.

Jimbo S.

Yelp
This place exceeded all expectations. Great bagel, great price. Couldn't be more satisfied.
google avatar

Alexsis A.

Yelp
The bagels are excellent!!!!!!! Fresh, hand rolled, and baked in this huge oven. The prices are reasonable and tge service is great. But, be mindful of the morning rush. There will be a wait for a breakfast sandwich.

Yelp
We decided to try Bagels on Bartow after several unsuccessful attempts at Bagel Cafe. (Bagel Cafe is VERY expensive and their food is so-so). BOB is not only reasonably priced, but their bagels are very good! (The bagels are made onsite) I usually get a mini bagel with veggie cream cheese. Ben, of course, gets his usual everything with scallion cream cheese, sliced onions and lox. The service is wonderful. The people behind counter make me feel welcomed the moment I walk in. I highly recommend..quality bagels, reasonable prices, excellent customer service.
