Every time I’m in the LA area (specifically Glendale) and wanna have some Filipino food…Bagnet is always a hit! Any if not all is very delicious! My favorite is the pork bistek. Order their juice of the day and get unlimited refill. Coffee is free, too! 👍🏼

Google
Super friendly people and great tasting food. The atmosphere was nice and the tables and dining room was clean. The fish was moist and crispy the breakfast silogs are all really tasty I had a hard time choosing they all looked good. I went with some bistek and was really happy I did. Also I noticed they were sending big trays of food and fresh fruit out to a truck. When I asked they said they were cooking meals for families in need at the local church and donating those meals. 💕 then they offered us some really nice mandarins. Which were nice and sweet. Can’t say enough good things had a great meal at a great price with great people. 10 out of 10 would come again. 👍🏽

I’ve been going here for years!! They used to have $5 silogs with unli rice and unli coffee but inflation. Now there’s only 2 of them running the shop and though service is a bit slow, people will wait for their food. The lady is always smiling and treats everyone as if you’ve been eating there every day since they opened— she’s sooo friendly! Their bestsellers are their Bagnetsilog, Tosilog and Bangsilog and made to order. They also have turo turo options. Dining area is quite small and tables are few so I usually order takeout.

I'll make this quick, short and simple because my review is not a Filipino song. 🤙🏽 Limited parking space. Carpool ‼️ Street parking ✅ Good food ✅ (putok patok) Friendly staff ✅ Indoor/outdoor seating ✅ Clean restroom 🚻 Hidden Gem 💎 Worth a visit. 💯 enjoy! Feel free to follow 😎

Google
The crispy pata was a highlight. It had a wonderfully crispy exterior while the inside remained tender and juicy. The seasoning was just right, enhancing the natural flavors of the pork without overpowering it. Every bite was a delightful mix of textures and tastes, making it a truly memorable dish. The pinakbet was also fantastic. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, maintaining a slight crunch that added to the overall texture of the dish. The flavors were well-balanced, with the savory sauce tying everything together beautifully. It was a perfect complement to the richness of the crispy pata.

Google
I love this place, the food is really good and the food is made fast. The owner is very friendly and always smiles. I recommend this place if you want to get your Filipino fix. I will be back!

Simple and delicious home-cooked Filipino food in a no frills setting for a no frills price. Great for breakfast with free coffee.

Google
Place is respectable and has a great price on Filipino rice plates. You should ask for the bagnet plate, which comes with unlimited rice and coffee!

Yelp
Good food, nice staff, 100 % Filipino dishes. We often come here every morning for Filipino breakfast cravings, they offer a lot of options. Not only that they have appetizing prepared food already in front of you but they will also prepare new ones in their menu if you ask. Try their porkchop and bagnet - really crispy and delish! - Prepare your HB meds though! just kidding! Tables and chairs are available inside and outside the store, it's not a lot though and tables are small, max 4 people per table and 2 peeps for their outside tables. Parking are limited but you can park by the streets. for the price I think it's pretty fair - because their food is really good! Also, they have free self service COFFEE in their counter, so yeah! let's all grab one! FUN FACT for our Pinoy short cut dish: TAPSILOG: TAPa (beef), SInangag (fried rice),itLOG (egg) PORKSILOG: Pork + SInangag + itLOG

Yelp
The best unhealthy food periodt! Service is fast. Ambiance feels like the Philippines. I love jt here!

Yelp
Not sure why this place has so many haters. Food was pretty good and well priced. Maybe we went here on a good day. Bagnet was fresh, as if it were just cooked. Slices were a bit big for my liking, but still really good. Longanisa was also juicy and tender. Tocino was okay, a bit too fatty, will probably try the tapa next time. No garlic rice ): not sure if it was just today or they ran out. Melon juice was okay, slightly too sweet, and wanted more melon pieces. Overall, really good for a quick fix. Will be back!

Yelp
Service is always great and good portioning of food. Minor suggestion: place needs a little ventilation for food smell. Otherwise, everything is great in this place.

Yelp
OK So . . . I don't want those of you who frequent Bagnet to hate on me for this review but my last visit here was definitely subpar. This wasn't a first time experience and I am just so frustrated by it. I came in earlier in the week for breakfast. My plan was to pick up. few things for the family. The sign out front says that they open up for breakfast at 8AM. You'd think that would mean that they'd also have food ready at 8AM. Nope! I wanted to order tapsilog, longsilog and a crispy pata. Of those items they didn't have a single one. You'd think that they'd at least have eggs ready. NOPE. They didn't have that either. When my hubby and I asked how long it might be for food to be prepared, that's when the cashier x server said that food was ready. When I asked about tapa and longainisa, she said those items weren't ready and that she wasn't sure when they would be. OK SO . . . you said food was ready but it wasn't. I can understand the kitchen making eggs to order but to have nothing out, that's not all that convincing that you are prepared for or that you should be open for business. I have had food here from before, past visits, but this was just upsetting. This had happened another time or two that I'd come early in the morning. I didn't think that it'd happen again but apparently this is a habitual thing. I am not pleased at all. I'm sure I will be back to pick up other items some other day but it won't be anytime soon, now that I've got this sour taste in my mouth all over again.

Yelp
Swak sa panlasang pinoy! You'll remember lola's cooking and the owners are the best with hospitality. Always good food, fresh and you'll feel at home.

Jannette D.

Yelp
My go to place for breakfast. It's so good and taste like home. You can't go wrong with the price and you will keep coming back for more.

Yelp
A real gem for Filipino food. Great for those early morning cravings! Thankful for this place. It's cash only!

Yelp
service was ok, but food was hella cold. should of trusted my gut and just bought longanisa for $5 and cooked it at home. spent $35 for two plates of rice, eggs and longanisa....
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I'm not sure why the stars are so low but this place is very delicious. Service cold be a little better but they give out unlimited rice so I mean how can you get that upset they're busy. But I mean when you're getting rice, longanisa and eggs did 5$, you really can't go wrong. And I added some spam to my meal which made it easy to share with my daughter. The food was extremely tasty and very affordable!

Yelp
Sighhhhhhhhh.... after my first bite. Bought Pata for To go and found this roach floating in the dipping sauce . This is the lastime I'll be buying food from them... but hey its cheap!

Em C.

Yelp
I ordered a porkchop meal with rice and egg and the porkchop was very small I still felt hungry after. I paid $9.75 but it's a rip off!

Celeste F.

Yelp
Cash only Bagnet is always limited... been there several times for Bagnet but it's either they only sell by the plate or they didn't cook enough The name of the restaurant is. Bagnet & yet they seldom have any! They should consider closing their doors or changing the name of their restaurant...

Rachel B.

Yelp
Food was excellent and friendly service. Coffee was free which was good. Tapsilog and longanisa silog was good.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Star rating should be 0. I get it, pandemic, prices went up. But to charge $2.49 as a check out fee? Seriously!? Places usually charge 50 cents, but this is almost $3. I don't reccoment this place at all.

Theodore T.

Yelp
Found this place right near our motel for a quick morning bite to eat. A small establishment, cash only. Staff was very nice, they do have WiFi for free and the food is Filipino. Free coffee is offered and food was incredibly good as my initial impressions were that it may not be that great. The prices are very good as well. Don't expect a fancy joint with all the bells and whistles but instead a small business with a nice staff and good food for the price.

Yelp
Good food with a Good pRice‼ Been ordering & visiting the pLace often. Though for deliveries , they always forget the viNegar & utensils. Their arrozcaldo is good too, not too salty & lots of chicken too, price is affordable. The DaingsiLog is delish... crunchy & marinated well. My husband who is so picky when eating milkfish likes it too and no complain at all. Staff are accommodating and patience too answering my queries and so.. Recommended this place to my friend also.
google avatar

Bernie T.

Yelp
For the price, this is great value. It's a small operation, so don't expect 5-star service. If you order food that needs to be cooked, then have patience. It's worth not having to cook it yourself and clean up after! : )

Yelp
Mixed reviews about this place but let me rate the place by food, experience and customer service accordingly. Food - 5/5 You can never go wrong with Filipino food for breakfast. I always come here for the Bagnet and I would always wait at least 10 minutes or less for my order because they will cook it as you order. I don't mind that, I'll do anything for good Bagnet. Experience 3/5 I love the fact that it is unlimited rice and coffee everytime you order a meal. Two options for rice are available here, which are plain white and fried. I opt for the fried rice just because... Coffee is VERY BLAND, it seems like they use instant coffee and put more water in it so meh... Customer Service 0/5 HONESTLY The ladies in the cashier are VERY RUDE. They request for everything to be paid in CASH ONLY but THEY WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH CHANGE FOR EVERYBODY AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE IT IS YOUR FAULT FOR NOT BRINGING SMALL BILLS OR LOOSE CHANGE WITH YOU. Bad thing is they will complain with their loudest voice and will even roll their eyes at you. STORYTIME: I also had an incident one time that the girl in cashier keeps saying she was stressed out because of all the customers without small bills. How is that the customer's fault? I now understand why this place is only hyped up by fellow Filipinos. As much as I want my other non-Filipino friends to try the food again, they wouldn't dare coming back because of the customer service.

Yelp
Great spot for cheap Filipino breakfast. It's only $5 for your choice of meat/fish, unlimited rice, and egg tomato. They were out of Tapsilog when we came which was a bummer, so we got Longsilog & Tosilog. Tosilog is my favorite, and although it was good, it was a bit too thick, sweeter than usual, and basically no salt. Didn't have the traditional addicting Ticino taste. The rice was great, with vinegar and egg. I like how they have free coffee as well. It's a pretty small place with about 8 tables and it was crowded which was a good sign. We were able to get a table but still took our food to go. Parking lot available. They also cater and it's $110 for a boneless lechon (10-11 lbs) I probably would come back to try the other Filipino breakfasts since it's cheap!
google avatar

Yelp
$5 all day breakfast with unlimited fried rice and free coffee. You read it right, an incredible deal for just five bucks. Definitely a hole in the wall and a no frills eatery. Please don't expect any gourmet food here because $5 is all you need to pay for a complete meal with coffee. Meals are served in disposable plates with matching plastic spoon and forks. Rice comes with two fried eggs and a choice of pork adobo (cooked in vinegar, soy sauce and garlic), crispy pata (deep fried pig trotters or knuckles, tocino (sweetened pork), bagnet (deep fried pork belly), longganisa (sweet sausages), daing na bangus (fried boneless milkfish marinated in vinegar then, danggit (fried dried fish), spam, corned beef, etc. Don't expect someone to find you a seat or a waitress to get your orders. You need to place your own order at the counter, pay, make your own coffee, get yourself seated, then pick up your own meal when it comes out of the kitchen. After eating, you need to dispose all plates and plastic wares. Place can get really busy so expect a wait to find a seat. Parking can be tough so we parked at Ralph's across the street. Lady in the counter, who I think is the owner, is nice and friendly.
google avatar

Juliet U.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite Filipino places in the Glendale area. Their food are served fresh daily. Krispy pata is a must order. But there is a little wait when you order because of course... it has to be freshly cooked but trust me it is definitely worth the wait. We come here mostly for their breakfast. We've tried the tapsilog, tosilog, and bagnet silog. It's a whole lot of goodness. TRUST! It is worth coming back here. They also have unlimited rice for breakfast and their portions are just about right. Prices are extremely readonable. Each breakfast plate cost $5.50. Score! Can't beat the price! Parking is a bit of a hassle. It is located in a small area next door to ralphs. Service is good. We will be back here.

Yelp
Avoid this branch if you can. I like the LA location better, and it would be a safer choice during this CoVid19 pandemic. I don't even know where to start. I went here the other day, and as I was about to go in, the lady on the other side of the counter began to put on her mask. We ordered our food, and we were told to wait outside until our order was ready. As soon as we got outside, the lady at the counter took off her mask, and began preparing our food. As if she thought that she doesn't need to wear it (the mask) anymore because we weren't there inside anymore.... WRONG!!!! Worst part is she was talking (without a mask) with the cook (who was also not wearing a mask while cooking). She was talking away while scooping the food from the exposed cooked food trays. Just imagine her spreading all her droplets all over the exposed food in the area. I was watching all this while waiting in the car thinking... "she's selfish because she thinks she's protecting us but really, she's only protecting herself and putting others in danger." My friend picked up the food, and I asked if she said something, but she said the lady was busy. It's sad to waste food, but we didn't end up eating the food we ordered. All that front of putting a glass barrier and making you wait outside is just so they let you see how they are contaminating your food. Personally, it's disgusting-- it's like spitting on your food without you realizing it.

Yelp
Great bang for your buck in the silogs! A great selection and for just $5.50. You get a meat of your choice, two eggs and endless rice. I've tried the bang-silog, pork chop silog, and long-silog. All very good. The bagnet (for just a bit more $) was very good too. Fried just enough but not over cooked. If you don't want silog, they have good steam table items too. I like the giniling and bistek Tagalog.

Anna A.

Yelp
If I can give 0 stars, I will. For 2 weeks in a row. I am missing an order! And to top it off, we were given and old fried rice. Tried calling numbers but it wasn't working!
google avatar

J N.

Yelp
I love the longsilog and garlic rice. The portion was small, but it was perfect for me.
google avatar

Dan F.

Yelp
WARNING: White guy's review! Okay, so that doesn't mean anything because all you really need to know is that for $5.50 you can enjoy a delicious, filling meal with endless coffee and rice! AND if you're lucky (and come early enough) you maybe able to indulge in the mouth watering bagnet silog. No the coffee isn't Starbucks Pike Place and the location (Glendale/Korea town) isn't fancy but the service comes with a smile and will leave you satisfied. Enjoy! PS - token white guys...or any non-Filipino folk, don't be discouraged. You should feel comfortable and welcome because you are. :)

Yelp
Dear Bagnet, my mom was looking forward to having Bagnet for lunch. It's Mother's Day. The past several times we called to order Bagnet, your staff always said you had no more and we've called in different times of the day too. Please change your name if you're going to run out all the time, any time of the day. Or just stay closed if you're not going to deliver. Otherwise, it's false advertisement. Sincerely, really disappointed
google avatar

Yelp
I know this place has a good number of bad reviews, but, I still like their food. Maybe it's because I've only eaten their crispy pata and lechon kawali or maybe it's because I've only eaten the food at my parent's house and my mom seems to know the owner. The crispy pata and lechon kawali is always fresh when I've eaten it. Of course the food is going to be greasy... It's fried pork for goodness sakes. If you want healthy food, don't order those two types of food. Recently, we ordered their garlic rice. It wasn't the worst thing I've eaten, but it could have been so much better. Seriously, how you anyone mess up garlic fried rice. You fry up the rice with lots of fresh garlic, not garlic powder. Their version is a little dark and burned.

Lee B.

Yelp
Been going to this location for years because their crispy pata is really good. But our last experience left a bad taste for us and calls to question the hygiene practices at this place. We ordered two crispy patas for pick-up, which we were told takes 15-20mins. This young girl manning the counter dropped the second one on the sink while packing it within clear sight to us. She then unceremoniously grabbed it and took it to the back kitchen, where the public can't see into. Then she comes around and says: "it will be ready in 5 minutes." No further reassurances or explanation. How is that possible when you said it takes at least 15 minutes upon ordering.... Unless they're simply brushing off the dirt from the one she dropped and re-serving it? It's disgusting. First rule of food service is hygiene. You are handling edible stuff for food consumption, for crying out loud! She should have thrown it away right in front of us! Instead of creating this doubt as to whether she served us unclean food (which is going straight to the trash without a doubt just for our sanity's sake)! This girl was also not the most helpful server, in fact she straight up ignores you when you talk to her. You have to keep repeating what you're saying and say it louder and louder because she'll literally walk away while you're still talking without even acknowledging that you've spoken. We came when it was not busy, only 1 other patron there who was already eating; so there's no excuse that you were so busy serving multiple people that you can't acknowledge our questions or inquiries in a more normal way. Either she can't handle direct eye contact which is fine just don't walk away and pretend you didn't hear or she's just not meant to be the direct customer person manning the front because she utterly made a point of being not interested in answering/hearing any of my order-related inquiries.

Yelp
I can only give 3 stars on this spot. Nothing spectacular on their food & most of the time they run out of "bagnet" (cruncy pork) which should ALWAYS be available since it carries the name of the place itself. Space is so tiny & parking is super challenging.
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
Agreeing with recent Yelper David. Bagnet is a quick, fast food, affordable bang for your buck type of spot. My daughter and I normally order the daingsilog/bagnetsilog and it is made fresh, when ordered. It's not a fancy spot, therefore people need to understand that even though it's a sit down, it's a high volume rush most of the time.
google avatar

Fiona H.

Yelp
Finally made it back here after almost three months and I was crossing my fingers that they would have crispy pata and they did! We also tried their fried embotido and that was great too! Actually met the owner this time around and she was eager to serve. The portions are always generous and they even give you extra rice for takeout if you need more. Glad we visited them again!
google avatar

Carmelita T.

Yelp
Been going to this place for years pre-Covid n Covid times. However, lately it left a bad taste n experience with the combo dishes ... specifically the fried rice. It tasted like it was an old stock of moldy rice grain that was cooked. Can't get to swallow it cuz it leaves a bad after taste. I can agree with the price up, but please provide better quality food.
google avatar

Jaymark I.

Yelp
I like the food and affordable specially the crispy pata but collecting waste while people are eating is unacceptable at all. The smell is really bad and we have to step out to continue eating. Take note food were uncovered.

Yelp
Okay I always visit the Westlake location so I thought I knew what to expect. But this was different. 1. It was 10:30am and they were out of the Bagnet (fried pork belly). How are you out of bagnet when your restaurant is CALLED bagnet?! That's like Burger King being out of Burgers. Not to mention, they were out of Tapa and a couple other things. Are you serious? 2. I went with the tocilog. But we waited nearly 20 min. The food came out and sat at the window for a while. Then the attendant took the trays and pulled tocino from the hot case and then added 2 scoops of rice. This means they took 20 min to fry two eggs because everything else was already prepared and just sitting there! *eye roll 3. The tocino was just way too sweet. This may be a personal preference, but I was not a fan at all. Overall, the service was okay (as expected) but the efficiency of the staff and the food quality was sub par. Will probably not ever come back to this location, but will venture out to Westlake if i'm in the area.

Yelp
When I first came here a year ago, I wasn't too impressed with the darkness and poor food quality and choices. In the last two to three weeks, I found myself at this restaurant at least 3-4 times from purchasing their breakfast favorites to ordering and picking up a catering order of Eggrolls shanghai. When you walk in at 8-8:30am you will be greeted with some scrumptious looking longanisa (Filipino sausage) and/or tocino. The Longanisa is prepared with some crisp burned edges and are caramelized to perfection which I love. The tocino is soft and made fresh. When you order the beef tapa, you'll need to wait, as they prepare it fresh also. They also prepare their over easy eggs when you place your order. Another dish that I've been kindly greeted with is their pinakbet. Their veggies are huge and fresh, not overcooked or salty. I've ordered their Eggrolls shanghai pork (catered). Wasn't too impressed only because I felt it to be too salty, but their other dishes do make up for it. If you want good, made to order Filipino breakfast, and/or lunch for breakfast, I recommend coming here. It's located in a small strip mall next door to Domino's pizza. Parking is up front or on the street. Staff are very nice too!
google avatar

Yelp
Gave this place another chance after a bad experience from before. I ordered Bagnet for take out and what I got was this really though and dry meat, made it impossible to eat. Might not come back for a while.
google avatar

Glenn M.

Yelp
$5 tapsilog breakfast. ALL DAY! Need I say more? Free coffee - refill on rice - and refill on your melon drink when you leave and they cover it. I love this place and only I give it a 4 only because parking is horrible, the place is a hole in the wall and they can do better with the interior despite it's a hole in the wall. Decent, yummy food - not like your filipino mom makes, but good enough. For FIVE BUCKS!!!
google avatar

Ricard R.

Yelp
I've been a customer here for a long time, but today I had the came to find out that they have a new cashier. They need to get rid of her quick, or lose all their regulars. No social or customer service skills whatsoever.
google avatar

Ildefonso O.

Yelp
We greatly disappointed with the customer service at Bagnet in Glendale! The last thing we need during this pandemic and riots is for one of our favorite restaurant Bagnet in Colorado Blvd and Verdugo would have a grumpy, unprofessional, rude, indiscreet, disrespectful old lady as a server. I don't know if she's the owner, I sure hope not for that would be a shame if she is with an attitude like that. She has no sense of friendly, discreet customer service. We have always been constantly getting great service and of course great food before this COVID19 excitement from both branch specially at the Beverly location. Colorado branch is closer to home but we would rather drive farder than to deal with that lady again.

Yelp
this place has a B rating which is bad especially for a Filipino reppin' spot. Tsk tsk

CJ Geronimo P.

Yelp
We order early in the morning today it used to be so good and delicious but I don't know what happen. I kinda feel like the food was rushed. I really hope they bring back the delicious taste of their food.
google avatar

Timmy B.

Yelp
One of the many Filipino restaurants in Glendale. I just wanna say that they're inconsistent with the quality of their food especially their breakfast/silog meals. Sometimes it's okay and sometimes it's not. Earlier I had their porkchopsilog and it was delicious. Prior visits were not that good when I had tapa and tocino. So I think they should work on that.
google avatar

Jeffrey Y.

Yelp
As was stated in previous reviews, this restaurant is a hole in the wall. It is located in a small unit in a small strip mall with very limited parking. It has about 7 small tables for patronage dining in, and a 4 foot steam table where food is displayed. And when there is a croweñd of people, then it gets loud and packed. I am an advocate of managing expectations. It's a Mom and Pop establishment run by a skeleton crew. Therefore, if you expect white glove service in plush space of a Michelin star restaurant, do not come here- you will be miserable. But if you're looking for a no fuss, solid Filipino home cooking that is reasonably priced, this is the place to go. Thanks to the lady manning the register for being very attentive. She even gave my partner and I a sample of lumpiang Shanghai! This is was nice touch.
google avatar

Jon G.

Yelp
First time we came here today for brunch and this place is awesome. The food is freshly made and its budget friendly. Furthermore, the owner and the staff are friendly. They even offer refillable melon drink for us. The parking is kinda small but aside from that i would recommend this place. Definitely we will come back and dine here when we visit Glendale again. Kudos to the owner/management keep up the good work and keep the price reasonable.

Yelp
Why even sign up for Grub Hub when you don't accept credit cards? Trying to support local businesses but you just lost $30 of sales since I'm taking it elsewhere who accepts credit card. You gotta keep up with the times you specially in time like this. Your loss, another restaurant's gain!
