The Montreal Restaurant Openings to Know About in Fall 2019 | Eater Montreal

"On the Plateau Jad Ezzeddine is opening a sandwich shop specializing in pain brochette — Côte d’Ivoire’s baguette sandwiches filled with grilled, skewered meats and toppings — and it will also offer sandwiches featuring Beyond Meat; it's expected to open sometime in September." - Tim Forster

Baguette Brochette Will Bring Ivorian Sandwiches to the Plateau | Eater Montreal

"Opening this September on St-Denis and Roy streets, Baguette Brochette is a new casual sandwich shop that will serve Ivorian sandwiches on local, baked-daily baguettes. The menu is street-food inspired by the cuisine of the Ivory Coast, where owner Jad Ezzeddine is from, and centers on Pain Brochette (a sandwich made out of a baguette topped with ingredients grilled on skewers), with chicken and beef brochette sandwiches as well as vegetarian varieties and options made with Beyond Meat; halal options will also be available. Ezzeddine says he plans to keep service fast, ingredients fresh, and prices affordable, and the team intends to keep the restaurant’s terrace open for the final days of summer. The restaurant will open at 3800 St-Denis Stree and operate seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m." - Audrey Carleton

Google
This seems like a higher end fast food sandwhich place which scratched an itch I didnt think I had. The ingredients were pretty quality and there were good unique options including a lot of vegiterian options which were nice. The design work for the menus and streamlined approach is what made it seem like fast food but not in a bad way. The food wasnt quite as fast (again not a bad thing) and the price was higher but both were reasonable. We ended up getting the vegan meat option and im glad we knew eachother well because it was pretty messy. The good bread made the ingredients come out a bit and it was well sauced but both made it messy to eat (but also tasty). Overall a good spot for a quick bite.

Google
another highly rated place, why they have 4.5 I don't know. I love the imitation stands, and the best thing about them is the sauce and the bun, with a baguette you are already halfway to success, but alas, either the day was not going well, or they do not know how. The sandwich is dry, the sauce is not tasty, the bun is not fresh, and everything is barely warm. There is no toilet, as well as the service with tired faces, I understand, but alas I will leave an honest review, thank you

Google
My first time but not the last time. Clean place, polite staff. I ordered chicken baguette and it was fresh and tasty.

At 8pm on a Thursday, there were not many people here. I ordered a salad. It took 20 minutes to receive my salad. When I made the purchase, I was not informed of how long I would have to wait. There were only 2 people working and they were not very efficient. They were busy making many meals. Primarily one person was making the food and the other person did a little bit to assist him. The salad was half full of overcooked chicken, the other half was very basic salad ingredients: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion. It was not worth the $16.50 that I paid. The restaurant was very small and narrow. The tables along the side were uncomfortably close to people standing in line since it was so narrow. The bathroom was uncomfortable and the toilet seat was loose.

Google
Stumbled on this restaurant by chance on Google Maps as I was looking for a place that is open past 10:30pm. I made the right choice ☺️ Very welcoming, the manager is really kind :) The chicken & filet mignon sandwich was INCREDIBLE. They have their own mayonnaise sauce that is definitely a must! The snacks are also delicious! 100% recommend!

Google
Amazing sandwiches! Simple ingredients but super tasty and very friendly welcome. I tried the beef one and it was yummy. They also nice juices, I tried the ginger and pineapple one and it was excellent on top of being energizing! Give baguette brochette a try!

Google
I loved that they had so many great Vegan options, with tofu and beyond meat. I definitely want to try them when I’m more hungry. I just got a snack of a portion plantain chips and I had a few pieces of their fried banana and they were both delicious! Definitely recommend

Yelp
We loved this place the first time we went. The service was fast and helpful. I definitely recommend the beyond meat baguette. It is very messy, but delicious. There is a bit seating both inside and outside. Happy there are vegetarian options on the menu, although when we went back the service took a while and they were out of tofu and vegan meat. I was excited to try it again so that was disappointing.

Yelp
Wanted a quick bite to eat and came across this small place. You can get bowl and sandwich made on baguette. I tried the mix chicken and merguez, all dress spicy. It was very good. The sandwich did) came with a sauce that was good. They also put some kind of pepper like Cayenne on top of the sandwich. I would take another one without even thinking about it. I saw someone eating one of the bowl offering and it seems really good.

Yelp
Authentic west African drinks in the fridge along with the food. What a caring restaurant, I went to the counter to check out my pineapple ginger juice and asked if there's any sandwiches available to make. The cook said they're out of meat and what's cooking are for pre orders. I was happy either way.. my friend who got the last order picked up his sandwich and the cook surprised me with a sandwich of my own with some meat leftover .. it was my first time experiencing the hospitality of Montreal.

Yelp
I enjoyed my lunch. I ordered the mixed meat baguette. Crunchy bread well seasoned meat, spicy sauce. It came with homemade chips. They serve homemade juices. I didn't like my ginger drink. Very friendly owner on site. Small dining room and tight parking

Great spot for my first meal on this trip. Yummy baguettes and reasonable prices. Good ambiance and quick service. Loved the fresh fruit juice as well.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches! They are huge and filling and delicious. I love that they have a vegetarian version of everything. They make their own juices and chips (potato and plantain). This place is awesome, make sure you give it a try!

Yelp
Hit. The. Spot. Grabbed one late on a Sunday when I was walking around w friends, and this meaty, saucy mess was perfect, and the bread was incredible.

Yelp
the staff were helpful and fast, and best of all the sandwich was PERFECT. I'd been wandering, looking for the perfect food, and Baguette Brochette freaking hit it. Got the sausage chicken combo, spicy, and for real it's the best sandwich in the land

Yelp
This restaurant offers something unique that is well suited for the inhabitants of the Plateau. From what I understand, the owners are two Lebanese brothers who lived in Africa. They make sandwiches that you can't find elsewhere (except at their second restaurant on Notre Dame Street). There is usually a lot of customers that are happy to be here because they can't get the same food elsewhere.

Yelp
The infamous St. Denis corner with all the good spots has Baguette et Brochette! An Ivory Coast street food inspired resto that specializes in sub styled sandwiches, salads and freshly pressed juices. The decor is original and I love the picture of the two elephants you see mounted on the wall. There is plenty of seating. Service is friendly. They take interac and Credit card for payment, they also appear in most of the food delivery apps. The menu is simple with vegan options available. Sandwiches start at 10$, trios start at 15$- which is standard. I tried the Merguez sandwich (a traditional Lamb of beef sausage) topped with slaw, onions and tomatoes in a toasted choice of baguette (sesame or poppy seed). This item was newly added to the menu. The sausage was salty/ spicy but complimented nicely with the other toppings. The bread was a bit hard toasted. For a side included in the trio, I tried the spiced plantain and potato chips that were house made. These were addictive, couldn't stop at one bite. I also ordered a side of the sweet plantains which were probably my favourite. The pressed pineapple ginger juice was a healthy alternative to soda. I also tried their salad which was ok. It would've been nice to have the meat toppings packaged on the side to go.

Yelp
Amazing taste, Amazing flavour and AMAZING Service. Please do yourself a favour and get any of the meats or the beyond meat, in that juicy house sauce. Kudos to the staff and ownership.5 starts. Never thought I could be this excited about a sandwich!

Sylvie Q.

Yelp
The restaurant is well located, close to a subway station so it is very practical if you want to pick up something very easy to eat like a sandwich while you move around the city. The design of their logo is super cute too.

Yelp
Horrible! No Mask! Lack of Hygiene! Bad Food! Slow Service I tried the new Location in Saint Henri and was very disappointed, The Sandwich had no taste to it except the sauces that were added. There was very little beef in it. Add to that the staff had his mask down and his nose was not covered. He was within 30cm of the sandwich being made as he was teaching the guy how to make the sandwich. I reminded him many times to wear his mask appropriately and the 3rd time I had to say that my husband is immunocompromised, to no avail. In addition to that the service was very slow even though I was the only customer there as it was mid-afternoon. I spoke to the owner when I was leaving and told him my concern and he said he will take care of it. But the following day I came across an old review posting about the same issues, to which the owner responded. This tells me that they do not care about feedback otherwise this would have already been addressed as it's been few weeks since that review was posted with the owner responding to it. It seems this is common as I've read other reviews about their lack of hygiene and the fact staff making the food not wearing masks. I will never set food there and will not recommend it to my family and friends.
