"Baguette House has been serving quality bánh mì in Austin’s Chinatown for years. They have a variety of traditional options, from the cold-cut classic—topped with housemade mayonnaise and pickled vegetables, pâté, cilantro, and jalapeño—to the super-savory grilled pork. We can’t really pick a favorite, but at around $6 each, you can probably grab a couple and save one for later.  " - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion

My bbq pork banh mi sandwich was little light on the pork and the pork wasn’t too flavorful. I think it was good and tasty enough, but I have much better in Other place in Austin as well as in Chicago and San Francisco. Sorry, I wish I had liked more.

Got the grilled pork banh mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee was delicious, but the banh mi was lacking in flavor. I got take out, and was pleasantly surprised that they gave me the veggies separately (as I had forgotten to ask for no jalapeños) so that ended up working out in my favor since I was able to omit the jalapeños! Will probably be back and try a different banh mi next time!

Not much just easy to go Vietnamese sub places in Austin except Baguette House. Their subs are pretty good, but not a fan of the French baguette bread. Wish they had the traditional viet style baguette bread. The bread was abit hard that it cut my gums. The filling like the mayo, pate and cold cuts were good but just felt like they cheap out with the filling. For now it’s my to go viet sub place.

To start off, I don’t really like to give local businesses bad reviews, but this one has really gone downhill. We visit Austin many times and frequently come here, and the last few times, the service was ok, which is fine with me because we would place our order to go. However, the sandwich was really lacking in both flavor and quality. I’m not sure if it’s new ownership or their suppliers, but the sandwiches were not as good as before, almost as if they were cutting corners and making it cheap for what you pay. I also want to mention that when I requested for my receipt, the younger girl that took my order didn’t want to respond, ignoring my request (not a communication error, as I can speak Viet). Either way, the customer service was especially poor, and after spending about $100, this place is definitely not worth it and the food is of bad quality.

This has been one of our favorite banh mi spots in Austin for years. We love their baguettes! The price is reasonable and honestly they are so good. My kids love it too! We always order their #1.

This place has delicious banh mi. I had only three different ones so far and loved them all. Great bread and the ratio of bread filling is spot on. Also all those working there are awesome, great service. I'll be returning for sure.

Dude!!! This place is fantastic! I always get a Banh Mi Dac Biet with pate (in Vietnamese "Dac Biet" means like "THE SPECIAL") and is usually a combination of the best stuff they got (goes for Pho too). They also make great grilled pork Banh Mi (Thit Nuong). Don't skip the veggies too, it's part of the flavor/texture balance - you're excused if you have the cilantro "soap taste" gene. If you don't do delicious creamy liver pate... I get it, but you'll never know the legit experience of a Bunh Mi Dac Biet (essentially the Vietnamese equivalent of the Italian cold cut). Also - they serve Che (pronounced with a down-up tone like "chey-uh") with are wonderful desert puddings with coconut milk/cream, sweet beans, coconut jelly strips, tapioca, this is so good - but try it with ice.
