Baguette Vietnamese Sandwiches

This is the best food in town. This is also the most consistent food I've ever had. For 7 years now, I've enjoyed the beef lemongrass bahn mi and the curry beef bahn mi. They are excellent. Simple, but excellent. I can't really recommend this place enough. They are always busy during lunch, so calling ahead for takeout is recommended. Note the days/hours before heading over, as well.

We are not from the area and needed a quick bite to eat. Wow we are so glad we went here! The sautéed chicken and curry beef sandwiches were delicious, their carrots are the best I’ve ever had. And the bread is out of this world. We come up every month or so to Corvallis and this will be a go-to spot.

Love this place. Been coming here for a few years now and love it:) I get their #6 chicken sandwich that has teriyaki marinaded chicken and I add jalapeños. It was $7.95 for the sandwich and probably a 10 min wait! Easy peasy! Delicious. The meat alone was moist and rich and they even picked their cucumbers and it was delicious.

Baguette is DELICIOUS. By far one of my favorite places to grab a meal, especially with a friend. I keep coming back because it's just so freaking good!!

Delicious sandwich shop in Corvallis. I can recommend the Beef Curry Baguette as it was excellent driving food for re-entering rush hour traffic. The folks who work here were super friendly and fast with my selection.

Food is always delicious and I love their iced coffee! The employees are always super nice, with quick service. A true gem in Corvallis.

Quick, affordable, and delicious! I couldn't stop thinking about how good my bahn mi was for the rest of the day, and the people running the shop were wonderful as well. I'm coming back and bringing friends!

Vegetarian options available. Ordered: No. 7 Beef Curry sandwich & a beef soup. Good flavor & ingredients. For the sandwich, I recommend doing the the traditional white bread before trying the wheat version. Soup can be made to order & you can expect it to be stovetop hot, which works great if it's to-go. Some menu items will have curry in it, however, there are no curry dishes. The staffing are friendly & respectful. Restaurant clean & has a relaxing setting. If you enjoyed or liked this restaurant, I also would recommend Bon Mi in Eugene, OR. Both of these restaurants are worth checking out. If I had to choose one, it would be Bon Mi.

I've never tried a traditional Vietnamese sandwich before so this was my first time, and I was definitely not disappointed. I got the BBQ pork baguette with a Thai tea, mmm so delicious! We came in on a Friday night, fairly busy. Weekends they are closed so if you wanna try this place you'll have to come on a weekday. Everyone was very friendly and order came out fast. I definitely will be back to try the other baguettes! It was so good, this might be my new fav place.

With several options to order 12 to be exact, there are many options to choose from. Ordered the #7 & 8 and split with the wife. The curry is subtle but prevalent to know your getting curry. The lemongrass beef is distinct and for me a better choice than the curry. Of course in true Bon Mi fashion, the baguette bread is fantastic and worth the food. For me the real stars were the steamed pork and bbq buns. Don't miss this, and even order a couple as your lunch delight. Several tables to grab your grub, nice and moderate in terms of noise you could easily get some work done if necessary.

Great service. Cute place, and fast. I wanted to love it but what I ordered lacked flavor. Needed some herbs. I should have asked for jalapeños too. Salad rolls were better than the sandwich. I might try it again and order something different.

I'm glad to see that Baguette is still around! Cheap, quick, and delicious, I haven't been disappointed once by the quality and efficiency of the service here. Although prices on their Banh mi has gone up since COVID times, the sandwiches themselves have stayed consistently well made. I also ordered a side of the salad rolls this time and thought they were pretty well done. Bound tightly and with plenty of filling! Perfect for a quick sit down meal or to-go option!

This place rules! Very rarely do I go somewhere and feel absolutely blown away by the food and service. Also, the prices are super reasonable. The owner(s?) of this place are incredibly friendly and have the most infectious smiles. I visited for lunch twice in one week while staying out in Corvallis for work. The sandwiches, service, and speed of this place are all incredible. Even when it was a little busy one of the times my sandwich was ready within maybe 2 minutes. I had the sautéed chicken sandwich both times. So, I can't really speak on the other options, but I'll be sure to try something else next time. The lemongrass beef seems to be popular. This is one of those rare restaurants that perfectly executes within its niche. It is my favorite lunch spot in Corvallis and I highly recommend to anyone.

We got the traditional bahn mi sandwiches and the bao buns. And the salad rolls. The peanut sauce was really good. But the sandwich bread was not very good. The bao had pieces of sausage and hard boiled egg in it. And the dough wasn't cooked all the way.

This is a great little Bang Mi sandwich shop in the heart of downtown Corvallis. Very clean and nicely decorated. The owner was super nice and friendly and accommodated our requests. I had to beef lemongrass banh mi and my daughter had the beef curry bahn mi. Both were delicious and what made them was the fresh baguette that they used.. give this place a try. It's a winner

Fast service and awesome sandwiches. I love the soya sandwich. It hits on all the flavor points and I crave it for lunch all the time.

Bread is the foundation of a sandwich and this place has a good one - fresh baked French bread! I got the lemongrass beef sandwich after some guidance from the owner who was super nice. The meat had so much flavor which was balanced out by the veggies and the bread was so fresh. Me and my wife tried a few bites from different places while in Corvallis that day and this sandwich was voted the best.

This is in my top 3 restaurants in Corvallis, as a longtime grad student! Sandwiches are consistently so fresh and delicious, service is lovely, you couldn't ask for better at a casual lunch place. The owners are so kind and always ask after my day; this is a great place to eat wonderfully on a tight budget. Curry tofu is an all-time favorite but you can't go wrong!

I've had this spot on my list of must-visits for a while and finally checked it out! Coming from the 626 and 714, I'd say my standards for Banh mi's and banh bao's are set pretty high. The banh mi at Baguette is pretty on par with what you can expect at traditional Vietnamese banh mi spots. A good spread of pate and mayo, a hefty amount of pickled daikon and carrots, lots of cilantro, and a decent amount of cha. The only difference in this Banh mi is that there's a sort of fish sauce/spicy sauce in the baguette, which I'm not used to with other Banh mi's. The pickled vegetables are also not as pickled as other traditional Vietnamese spots. But, overall, it still tasted great. I was really impressed with the banh bao. I ordered the pork with quail egg bao, and one bite instantly reminded me of home. The filling is very well seasoned, and the bao is so soft and fluffy. I'd say the bun, itself, was better than the buns I've had back home because of how fluffy it is. Love this spot, and I now know where to go when I'm missing a taste of home.

A mark of authenticity is the use of pate in a Banh mi and this place has it if you go Daring (item 2). The bread has the right crunch and the pickled carrots and other fixings make for a well coordinated sandwich. Perfect for you Banh MU fix. Ask for the added jalapeños. Take your meal two blocks to eat it overlooking the Willamette river.

I went here a few months ago. Had the beef curry sandwich. Hm. What is all the hype about? The service was very pleasant. The food was fine. Went back today and had the sautéed chicken sandwich and beef soup. Oh, YUM. Sandwich was much tastier to me than the beef. Thought the soup was a bit overpriced for having frozen vegetables in it like you'd give to a preschooler- cubed carrots, cut green beans, Lima beans, corn, but WoW. The broth was amazing- it was super satisfying. I get it now. Super Yum. I will be back for sure.

Corvallis is so lucky to have this banh mi spot! We got a BBQ pork and a beef lemongrass and both were delicious. The bread has a delightful crunch and they came with a good amount of meat. The bbq pork is cold cut and the beef lemongrass was warm, so pick based on what you prefer! The latter was a bit more flavorful so I'd recommend that first. We also got a canned mango drink which was super mango-y but not too sweet -- probably one of the best mango drinks I've ever had so I will be keeping an eye out for it in my local grocery store! It seemed to be a pretty popular lunch spot, but the line wasn't too long and moved quickly. After ordering, we only had to wait a few minutes for our sandwiches.

The steamed BBQ pork bun is outstanding and fresh! The shrimp rolls are amazing. I have not tried the sandwiches yet because I love the buns so much! But it appears they are good because they are very busy.

Great prices and fast service. Their food is very good. The indoor seating is nice and usually pretty quiet; perfect for a quick lunch.

Love the baguettes- could live on them! My husband thinks the vegie rolls are the best in town. The people who run it are so nice and customer friendly - cannot find a single thing negative to say.

Absolutely amazing. While the portions are smaller than the traditional Bahn mi, the prices are still reasonable. I had #1 the original with no jalapeños ($6.50) and it tasted authentic! The pickled veggies were lightly sweet, crisp, and refreshing. The meats brought body to the sandwich and the paté was salty and creamy. One sandwich was enough to fill me up but I have a small stomach, so if you are a big eater I recommend getting 2 sandwiches.

Fun, lowkey bahn mi spot. Sandwiches delicious - remind me of what my Vietnamese au pair used to make my brother and I back in the day.

We were in town visiting OSU with my daughter. Stopped by here for lunch. Delicious Vietnamese food! If you are looking for something different to try while in Corvallis then give this place a try.

Baguette is an excellent lunch stop in Corvallis. Staff is welcoming. The Bahn Mi sandwiches are so fresh and delicious! We tried the original, the chicken and the beef. All were great-the beef was super flavorful. Highly recommend.

When I think of Banh Mi sandwiches, I think of all the times my parents bought it for me during my elementary school trips. I think of all the times we ate it during the car on the way to Vegas. I think of all the times we snuck it into Universal Studios and Disneyland. Baguette's Banh Mi sandwiches instantly take me back to those times. The toasted bread, the pickled carrots, the cucumber, the cilantro, jalapeños but MOST importantly, the pork pate!!! Since I moved to Corvallis 9 months ago, we went here at least 2 times a month. We always get the same thing I get when I was a kid. The cold cut original Chả lụa (Viet Ham); It is a sort of pork sausage with a fishy umami taste. Now I also lean toward the Daring, which has head cheese. It has this jelly like texture that is OH so good. I also heard that their beef lemongrass and other sandwiches are just as good. On the side note, I usually get some sort of side dish such as the spring rolls, pork buns, or Vietnamese ice coffee. They are pretty good but the star of the show are their Banh Mi sandwiches. Corvallis should be proud to have such great Banh Mi sandwiches in town.

The Lemongrass beef sandwich was a perfect balance of flavors and texture. Such a great price of $8.75 considering what Panera charges for a sandwich. Cute and clean little restaurant with friendly and quick service.

One of THE BEST places to grab a quick bite in Corvallis! Great variety of sandwiches, and their steamed pork buns are delicious. Lovely atmosphere as well, and friendly and efficient staff.

Tasty sandwiches and very friendly service. Fresh-baked bread - yum! Try the soup. They make it fresh when you order it. Very good. I haven't been out to eat in a while, and I miss it. Great place to grab lunch. I always have a hard time deciding what to order because it's all good. They even have delicious non-meat items, so there's that. Always ALWAYS friendly service. Always a smile and a thank you. I like that.

sOOO good. I'm from a densely populated Asian area of California. This reminded me of home. The baguette is perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Affordable and delicious :)

Just amazing! Their rolls are incredible and have to be homemade. It's way faster and with better service than most chains. Stop wasting your money on garbage cheap food and come to places like this. Incredible.

The Baguette can only be described as God's greatest gift to the Corvallis community. I do not know how they do it, but they serve some of the most amazing and incredible food known to man. There are so many varieties and so many tastes that come from this place. When you go, I highly suggest you try the Beef Lemongrass or the Chicken. I also really enjoy the Breakfast sandwich. It seems as though you are going to get an incredible option no matter which one you pick.

Update: closed until Wednesday, August 5, 2022. Called and voicemail provided update. Best lunch place in Corvallis. Can't wait until the location is open again.

This little Baguette place is amazing. I'm having the tofu curry sandwhich. People so friendly, service so quick. Inner restaurant is adorable brick walls. On a rainy day touring Oregon State, couldn't have stumbled upon a better find. Thank you owners and staff!

Great sandwiches and salad rolls. Try the beef lemon grass and add jalapeños spicy and delicious. Also the curry chicken is delicious. Don't pass up the different snack that they have by the register hidden gems. Great customer service friendly and they always have a big smile. Always clean and plenty of room to sit. The best sandwich place in Corvallis. I live about 15 minutes out and would still make the drive to come here almost every day for their sandwiches! Worth the price and definitely worth the taste! My partner also agrees! 10/10 5 star place!

Good sandwiches, inconsistent but good. Had the grilled chicken teriyaki. Small but packed with flavor. Crisp carrots, spicy but not too spicy sauce. Perfect chicken. Had I only ever had that one sandwich, this would have been a four or five star review. However came back two days after and brought a friend. The difference two days makes. Sandwich was insanely over spiced. Couldn't finish it. Figured they just had an off day so gave them another chance. Spice was right, chicken was chewy. Carrots were soggy. Shame. Wanted to love this place.

One of our go-to lunch options. Always enjoyable. Made to order, so not quite "fast food" which is, imo, a good thing. Vietnamese family owned and operated. The flavors are modified _just_ enough to make them delicious for folks who grew up in the US. They make everything from the crisp pickled carrots to the baguettes. Choice of about 10 fillings with either white or wheat baguette, always fresh from the oven this morning (if you're late, they may have run out of the whole wheat). They are fond of cilantro, so if you're not, be sure to tell them to hold it. They have a half dozen two-person tables, and one or two larger tables, but if the weather is fine, you might prefer to take your sandwich to the river front just two blocks away (that's what we usually do).

What can I say -- other than love at first sight, that is. The moment I crossed through the solemn entryway I knew we were destined for a beautiful future. The sandwich I chose to dance with was the perfect blend between sweet and spicy; drippy but not too wet. Meat sandwiched between two buns of perfect thickness. I purposely skipped on a drink as to keep the flavor in my mouth as long as I could. This was 5 years ago due to circumstances beyond my control, but I think about he-- the restaurant every day. I hope it is doing well and found happiness.

I love their delicious Vietnamese sandwiches made with their freshly-baked bread as well as fresh vegetables and meats!! "The original' is a nice sandwich to try for a first-timer. The 'Shumai' is a yummy warm pork sandwich as is the Lemongrass Beef!! They also have homemade salad rolls with a choice of homemade peanut sauce or fish sauce for a light lunch or snack. Lots of fun things to try!! Enjoy!!

We wanted to eat local and someplace we hadn't been yet. Baguette was a great choice for lunch. Two great sandwiches and extremely pleasant service. This will be a frequent bike ride destination once this weather warms up.
