Bahama Buck's - Austin (E Stassney Lane)

Sunday my husband and I took a little drive to south Austin and we haven’t been in a while to grab a snow cone but let me tell you we both were happy with our order. I got myself the strawberry vanilla shake and it was bomb!! My husband got the blue cream snow cone and he enjoyed it! Definitely worth the drive!

This is my fave spot! Loved coming here! But ever since they hired their teenage staff, the quality and service is AWFUL! They talk terribly about their customers right in front of them! And the ice literally has NO flavor! They need an adult a manager on site at all times. Won’t be returning until management does something about the terrible attitudes here!

What a great place to stop and have a nice icy treat! Loved it! Tried the unicorn, delish! There are so many options to choose from. It's a great spot for yourself or your family to pick up on a hot day! The service was efficient and quick! Will return again! Nice spot to try for some snow cones!

Bahama bucks is super tasty. I love the shaved ice they sell and the variety of options they sell. That said, I visited yesterday and the workers straight up ignored our presence for like 10 minutes, as well as took our orders as if we were being a bother. Normally something like that wouldn’t bother me but compared to the Bahama bucks in Buda the staff were extremely friendly and kind so I had that expectation for all locations. I’ll probably come back for the drive thru but I’m never dining at this location again, I’ll just make the trip to Buda instead.

Best shaved ice ever. They know how to make them right, but they sure don't know how to charge appropriately. I ordered natural flavors, which basically means it has no color. Plain Jane, so-to-say... makes me mad that I had to pay .30 cents extra PER FLAVOR! WOW! Why not pay extra for color instead of for a Plain Jane, boring white snow with clear flavor? 🙄 Mine was the Avalanche size, next to the largest size you can buy. Love, love, love the spoons which change colors as you use them. Great idea. 👍

I recently visited Bahama Buck’s and had the pleasure of being served by an employee named Alyssa. She was incredibly nice and friendly, making the entire experience delightful. Her cheerful demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction truly stood out. I felt welcomed and appreciated, and will definitely return. Thank you, Alyssa, for making my visit to Bahama Buck’s a memorable one!

This place is nice with a lobby and a drive thru and the ice is PERFECT! Howeverrrr, the drive thru customers placed and received orders while I waited for my one item. There were EIGHT people behind the counter and only one making snowcones. The flavor was ok but skimpy, not close to enough. The prices were higher than I expected, but the air conditioned lobby compensated. The cashier said they do not offer sweetened condensed milk (!!) and tried to upsell me a scoop of ice cream in my snowcone (no to the upsell and especially no to putting ice cream in my snowcone, ew). I don't think this place will even do in a pinch, Casey's remains my only snowcone choice in Austin!

The first time was here I got the sour patch syrup which blended in weirdly with the flavor I got. BUT the second time, I got a mango flavor which was so good I pulled over to finish it haha
