Miami’s New Restaurant Openings

"Baia Blu is, surprisingly, the only Italian restaurant to land on our radar this month. The Coconut Grove restaurant has the usual suspects: eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti alle vongole, and cacio e pepe." - mariana trabanino

The place is really beautiful! The beach is super clean! And it’s really a place to totally relax. Loved as it was mostly locals who came to this place! Remember to book before hand as it gets crowded here. And on Sundays, if you haven’t booked, don’t even bother to go there. Also, choose the beach area for sitting instead of the terrace area.

This is probably the best beach for anyone in La Spezia, however, this review is written to provide information about the surroundings and how to get there. If you are travelling by public transport, it is a 35-40 minutes bus ride from La spezia Centrale. Bus tickets cannot be purchased on the bus (unlike in Rome). We were fined €35 each for not having a bus ticket despite trying to ask the bus driver how to buy tickets and willing to get off and buying a bus ticket after we were told tickets needed to be bought from a bar. Once you get off the bus, it is a 15-20 minutes walk uphill and you reach a hotel area (this looks like a private resort) you have to walk downhill for about 10 minutes before you reach the private beach. The public beach is a very small area but nice enough. The water itself is full of rocks that cut your feet so not ideal unless you have aqua shoes. On the way back you have to walk uphill to get the bus back. Mind you, on the way back lots of people that work in the ship yard get on and it’s a real struggle on the bus. My overall recommendation is unless you have your own means of transportation, do not go to this beach, it isn’t worth your time and hassle. This is a place I’d gladly never visit again.

We went with our dog and there is an paid area where he could have stayed. Unfortunately, the dog are not allowed to swim on the beach so we decided to leave.

20 euro for the sun-bed on the free beach. But also you can stay without renting a sun-bed. The nature is beautiful!

Beautiful and fun. Several food & drinks options, and pool and showers. We took the bus from the parking lot for $5 (+$10 that were reimbursed at the entrance) We booked in advance- it’s recommended to. There is a free beach too.

Was visiting bail blu on a tuesday around 11, very crowded and difficult to find place to park. Although the beach was cozy, small but enough. There is toilets and showers. Shops and restaurants.

Great beach with many sunbathing spots. The pool is excellent. The prices are reasonable.

Free part of the beach better than private one.
