Thursday, July 23rd my husband and I decided last minute to try to join a class that was happening that evening. It was our 10th anniversary and we had a babysitter. A painting class dawned on us at the 11th hour and we ditched our dinner plans to paint. I hopped online and looked at the different classes being offered and we chose Bailey's studio based on the cherry blossom that they were painting that evening, according to their website's calendar. My GPS had us lost very far west at an almost identical address. I called and called and called the studio, choosing different options each time I called hoping to hit the magic number to reach a human being. No one picked up.
By the time we found the studio on our own, after getting terribly lost and fitting in time to swing into the store for a bottle of wine for the class, we were met with a darkened studio with no furniture inside. There was a light and fan on in the upstairs studio, but as we rung and rung the buzzer to get up, no one answered, came down to explain there was a cancellation. Nothing. There was another couple there, as well, who had already purchased their tickets online. We all discussed how we would not have time to make the evening class at any of the other many painting galleries that evening. They left disappointed, as well.
Needless to say, by the time we got to a restaurant to enjoy what was left of our evening, it was almost time to go home and relieve our sitter. All in all, very unprofessional. A simple sign on the door or a recorded message when you call the phone number to inform patrons that something came up and the class is cancelled would have been sufficient.
Disappointing experience.
