Bailey's Bar & Grille

First time here, we made reservations so when we arrived we were promptly seated. Staff was great, we placed our drink order and asked for the nacho's to be our appetizer and that was not problem. Timing was great for the meals as we had just finished the nacho's, so good job there! Food was cooked to our liking and you will not want for portion size! Pricing is at the average for the area, menu selection is nice and we will be coming here again. 👍 The greenish color drink is known as the Boston Harbor. It's a pineapple tiki type drink with just a bit of blue curacao mixed with the pineapple juice to give it that greenish color.

So the clam chowder and burger were delicious! The main reason I don’t want to give this 5 stars is because on the drink menu it says to ask about the craft beers they have on tap, we asked and were told that they had bud lite, Sam adams, Guinness, and Truly which a little bit of a disappointment. But still the food and service was good, the outdoor seating was pretty- and I’d like to come back for the dessert that I was being served but I was way too full after all the food. Updates review after two more trips! Fantastic service and they do have craft beers, maybe the server I had before was confused? Well the French onion soup is divine and I’ve been happy with all the food I’ve had here so far! Update 2: honestly docking some points here since my last visit. Ordered the salmon burger and it was super dry and fishy. I would normally let that slide but my partners Mac n cheese was also flavorless, not worth the price. The waitress noticed I was not eating my salmon burger and did refund me but the whole experience was just not great and meanwhile there was another table returning food.

Bailey's is a nice place to eat with an impressive menu. This summer evening we ate al fresco (and chased away a bee that was also interested in the menu. Such visitors can be part of the outdoors so eat inside if you can't take the chance of shooing away a flier. The inside is very nice too. We enjoyed our meal outside.) Our waitstaff was friendly and our food came out very quickly after we ordered. We left full, and with some take-home. All four of our party liked their meals. I had the country fried chicken over delicious mashed potatoes. The onion rings were very good, too, that they substituted for the salad I didn't want. No hassle with the swap out.

My wife and I stopped here for the first time the other day and it was absolutely awesome. We sat at the bar because we were having lunch. Our bartender Hunter was great! Really mellow personality, great conversation. The food and drinks were fantastic. We will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for dinner, lunch or anything else. Thank you Bailey’s, great place!!

This restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area. The staff was attentive. My issue was with the inconsistent food. Some of our meals tasted like they were either sitting under heat or microwaved. One of us could barely chew through the protein selected. The fish dish smelled awful. This is the second time trying this restaurant. Maybe if you want a drink and an app you might do ok here otherwise I cannot recommend.

I want to recognize your two bartenders, Shauna and Alex. I visit occasionally, and I’ve had the pleasure of being served by both of them each time. They truly embody what many refer to as a dynamic duo- they complement each other wonderfully and create a positive and calming environment in the bar area. All the patrons seem to appreciate them, as there’s always laughter and engagement with the customers. I can’t praise these two enough. Excellent bartenders!! I will be back as long as they’re both working the bar together!

Bailey’s has once again gone above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Recently I placed a catering order with Tessa, and not only was it fulfilled perfectly, much to my surprise it was prepared when the restaurant wasn’t even open. Not only did Tessa and Chef Paul ensure I had all my food for this event, there wasn’t even a mention that the restaurant was closed that day. Also I must mention that they were able to prepare all items gluten free due to an allergy. Thank you Tessa and Chef Paul for going the extra mile.

Got the Steak frites. Steak was not cooked correctly so sent it back. Steak came back with a piece missing and the fries are cold. Overall then steak was not good or just a bad piece - $22. Always a great time/ food but the last few were not that great. I got the BBQ short rib burger on my last visit. It was soggy and the ribs was mostly fat. Sent it back, fixed the short ribs but the burger patty wasn’t cooked correctly.

Food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. Service is even better. A great spot to meet with friends or date night. Local gem.

Mary absolutely made our experience here. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was of great quality, but the kindness and attention to detail Mary provided us and our kids was above the bar. We had burger and pasta and meatballs. The burgers were super juicy, onion rings were perfect, and the marinara was delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Tonight 10/20/24, we dined here with a party of 10, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. To start, a band-aid was found in the food, which is completely unacceptable. Additionally, over half of our group didn't receive their meals, and despite bringing this to the attention of the staff multiple times, there was no urgency or effort to fix the situation. At the end of the meal, we spoke with the manager, not the owner, but there was no accountability, and the only compensation offered was the removal of two salads from the bill--hardly a fair response given how much went wrong. I wouldn't recommend dining here based on this experience, and I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future.

We have traveled to dine at Baileys for years. I am extremely sad to say something is wrong there. For over two years we have gathered with friends for lunch monthly. We also went to Baileys during Covid! We thought they did a great job maintaining the quality of food and service. Today, two of us ordered the taco salad. Neither of us ate much as it was terrible. The beef, which we paid 6$ extra for, was very cold as the rest of the salad. No taste. The manager came over right away and credited the meals, but the bigger issue is what has happened? It wasn't just the meals today, but smaller issues each time we go. We have traveled from Gardner, Westminster & Nashua. Now considering where else we can go.

Great local, fun place. You can sit down at a quiet table or watch tvs at the bar. Always a fun crowd. They have sports, trivia and live music. Check it out. We like to go and watch college football and wnba games :) they always assist with finding what we want.

Good food and good service. The restaurant is beautiful with a glassed in area with gorgeous window boxes to enjoy. The menu is great with added specials as well. We love the seasonal patio dining as well. The new Sunday brunch was awesome! We also have used their holiday menus which has been wonderful! A+

My son lives near Bailey's so i thought I would try them out. I got my standard mushroom swiss burger. It was cooked just as I ordered. I then asked about sides. French fries were an upcharge....?? However they had homemade chips so I got those. Well the were way overspiced but they certainly were NOT homemade. So all in all the burger was very good but up charge for chips and what I was served. I think I can do better if i went next door to McDonald's and got the fries.

food was awful. Chicken was overcooked. There was a charge for water. We spent $70 and the worst meals. Fish tacos were soggy. Everything was too salty

We walked into Bailey's on Sunday 6/2/24 at 4:00 .We were seated right away not to many people in the restaurant . Then we sat for 20 minuets while the waitresses walked around and talked to each other never coming to our table . Finally one of the waitress walked over to a different table to people that were there even before us to ask them if they wanted drinks . Those people also were not happy . 5 more minutes went by still no service , we got up and walked out. They just looked at us walking out and never said a word., I will cross that place of our lists .

Worst restaurant experience of my life!! Of the 9 meals we ordered only 3 were delivered correctly. My grand daughter's meal didn't show up. My son-in-laws salad didn't have the meat he asked for. Two meals didn't get our salads, my son's burger was wrong, but when they brought out the right burger they didn't include the fries. The worst of all the meals was my daughter's chicken parm, which had a bandage in it. I had to request the manager to come by to explain, as she was avoiding us. And as I was explaining to her how bad the meals were, another waitress started arguing with us!!! We're never returning to any of the Mariano businesses. If you decide to try any of their restaurants, you're warned of their incompetence.

Began with one of their signature cocktails The Boston Harbor, have to say the color was comically accurate and the Swedish fish was a cute touch. I ordered the Soft Pretzel sticks for an appetizer and the Whiskey Bourbon Shortrib Burger for my entree with the fries rather than the chips though I have heard their chips are really good. Before the food arrives I must note the open feel of the floor, it wasn't busy but the open windows and separate bar design really gave the place a comfortable vibe. The music was soft and allowed for conversation, the decor was minimal but homey and I really felt like I could either dress up here for a nice night out or just pop in after work. The staff was friendly and willing to answer all my silly questions like if the pretzels can come with something other than honey mustard and to repeat the specials and what they recommend. The pretzels came warm and smelled amazing, they were salty and buttery and fantastic, paired well with the tangy honey mustard. If I wasn't getting a burger I would have eaten the whole plate! The burger arrived and though I must say the pickles on top was a bit extra it looked perfectly cooked when I cut into it and the fries were just how I like them. Unfortunately for me personally the burger itself was a bit under seasoned, and I felt it was lacking in punch I would expect from a whiskey bourbon burger. It was fine but I would probably get something else the next time I come here. I definitely will come back though! It's worth exploring the menu and the only reason for 4 rather than 5 is the sign on the front promotes the burgers and I was not blown away. However, my next visit may change that! We'll see!

Food is okay, similar to The 99 but with a better atmosphere....if you go when they have live music. Random hours/days open. Not thrilled w/Managment. Pretty disgusted by them. Other staff was friendly and offered great service.

We loved this place. We came across it during a casual drive. We stopped in thinking it'd be ordinary American fare. We were wrong. It's great! The food is spectacular. Our favorite is the fried poutine. On our second visit, several weeks in between, the waitress actually remembered us. Super sweet young lady and was extremely attentive. Our ONLY complaint is the kitschy decor. I think they need to modernize a bit and drop the "it's a wonderful life" motif. Go. Put up with the kitsch and have a wonderful meal

We arranged for a reception at Bailey's for 40 family & friends following a funeral. The staff provided an excellent venue. Food and service were excellent. Special thanks to Alayne & Sheila for their flexibility and hard work.

Worst service Ive gotten in a long long time. Food was actually pretty good which is the reason it's getting two stars. We waited over 20 min for a drink. The wrong drink came out had to send it back received a clear aperol sprits which should be orange. The waitress did not bring out water after we had asked and came over with the check while we were still eating. Everyone else had a dessert platter presented to them and asked if they wanted dessert. We actually did want dessert and ordered one. After she had came so promptly with the bill we waited forever for her to come back with a new one. This is some of the WORST SERVICE IN MASSACHUSETTS.

The staff and the food are great! My wife and I go multiple times a month and usually sit at the bar. Live music on Wednesdays and Saturdays is always a good time!

Food was underwhelming. For the most part ok except for the kids Mac and cheese which came out cold. Asked if it could be heated and it came back cold again. And was just bland and awful. My sone had about 3 bites. Ordered soup and salad to start soup came out with the meal salad never came out. Asked to take it off the bill. Drinks were hard to come by. Asked for sweetener for ice tea after about 10 minutes had to go find some for our selves. Had to go find someone to get more juice for the kids at one point also. Second time we have eaten there definitely the last time super disappointed since the menu looks good. But it's all blah to bad. And service was really awful.

Food wasn't that good and the restaurant was cold . They need to turn up the heat . Went to the bathroom on the way out and it was so cold . Washed my hands and water was cold , air in the hand dryer came out cold . I couldn't wait to get to the car to turn on the heat and feel warm . It's too bad because the place looked nice decorated for Christmas! We will not return .

Been going there for years. Food is consistently good and service is always fast and friendly. Owners are very engaged and are walking around most nights checking in tables. Good pub-style food.

It is always an amazing dining experience at Baileys. The staff, the food and the just the ambiance makes the customer very happy to be there.

Food is expensive and has gone way down hill! I ordered a scallop dinner for about 30 dollars and it came with bay scallops . I assumed it would be sea scallops! That's my mistake by not checking, but it is not what this customer wants for a seafood dinner!

I don't know what's happened to Baileys, but I've come here several times in the last year + for the most part the food just isn't that great anymore. Tonight we went + I had the nachos with chicken + it was just terrible. Tortilla chips (really awful chips, no flavor) with tomatoes + onions (though i had them hold the onions), cheese (so subpar tasting, like some sort of bagged Mexican mix from Hannaford's). The worst part? I added chicken + it was dry + pretty much tasteless. The salsa was terrible + the guacamole was just fair. Seriously, I had nachos there a few years ago (pre covid) + they were fantastic. I'm sorry to say I doubt I'll go to Baileys again anytime soon.

Went for lunch, and it was a very nice looking dining room, with "igloos" outside by reservation. Staff were friendly and got us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was really nice. I wasn't a fan of the onion soup, it wasn't bad just seasoned in a way that didn't make me want to try it again. The drinks were good. I had the pulled pork burger and it was delicious, and very large. That I would go back for! The only shortfall, and it is something all restaurants are dealing with, was staffing. From what I saw the servers were not assigned sections but got tables as they were seated. It led to a slow process and a longer than planned lunch. Staff were very nice, but when the server is at your table, then outside, then in another section of the restaurant, it is difficult to get her attention.

I was there today for the second visit. Had the chicken spring rolls as a app. They were OUTSTANDING!. Wife had egg plant parm. Everything was very good.

I didn't get to enjoy any food today, because we left before we could even order. When we arrived at the hostess desk nobody was there, but we did see a few servers walk by. Not one of them addressed us. I gave them the benefit of doubt thinking they were quite busy, but there wasn't many patrons seated inside. So I took a couple of menus and took a seat. Again, servers totally ignored us. I have eaten here periodically and the food was pretty good. But after this experience I will never be back. It goes to show you, it really is hard to find good help. I don't care how good the food is anywhere, if the service is terrible as it was today, I will spend my money elsewhere. I will be sharing this experience with all my friends. Good luck Bailey's with the hostess you had working there today. If she treats all your patrons as she did us, you will soon be out of business.

Been there many times before and always a pretty good experience. Tonight was terrible. Got 2 plates of the haddock meal, the fish did not taste fresh at all. Notified the waitress who had the manager come over. The "manager" didn't introduce herself by name, took the plates away, came back and said the fish was delivered that morning and said she would comp one of the two plates, no eye contact and couldn't wait to run off. Horrible management and experience. Failed to make it right, her attempt to correct the situation made no sense as both plates of haddock had the same issue. Definitely will not be returning.

The food was delicious and the staff was wonderfu! We were across the street for a dance competition all weekend. Even though Bailey's didn't know this, they were patient, kind and accomodating despite the insane number of increase in patrons On Fri, Sat, and Sun! Some of our favorites were the reuban, burgers, Whiskey BBQ Short Rib, and the giant nacho appetizer. Housemade chips were yummy. Great all around. Many thanks for a fun time.

I love eating here. The staff is always so friendly. Covid precautions are followed. The food is always cooked to our taste. Because of Covid, ordering for pickup is just as easy, which makes getting our favorites just as simple as eating in.

so this is an update to previous reviews which seem to keep getting better they had the foresight to set up some garden igloos outside which is where we ate lunch today, it was great, of course, it was a nice sunny 40-degree day, but we were almost too warm service was pleasant and informative food was great poutine very interesting, generous and tasty burger excellent, cooked as ordered and generous chicken parm (large i guess) was huge and very tasty everything was excellent oh, except maybe the background music!!! think i'd like to try this on a snowy day!!! very nice being able to sit outside on a sunny covid day!!

I love this place, clean and friendly staff. Their mushroom lovers burger is delicious!

A group of us had dinner in the courtyard here. We loved the live music, comfortable seating under large umbrellas with lights. The wait staff were exceptionally friendly, quick and competent. We ordered 4 menu items, cocktails and deserts. All of us including the gluten-free guest were pleased with the entrees and generous side-order options. We will be back.

Great spot to hang and have a lovely dinner out !! Very local to me and awesome musicians who come and play and make the place more lively !!

Great food and drinks! I love that they do igloos in the winter time. The George Bailey burger is delicious! Never have had a bad meal here. The patio is also nice in the summer with some live music. Glad I discovered this place last year.

Pretty good experience here. The service was amazing; everyone was very friendly and our waitress was fantastic even though it was quite busy when we came. Martinis were great too. The food was good but didn't blow me away. The chicken/broccoli/Alfredo really could have used some seasoning. On the other hand, everything tasted fresh and homemade, so I'll probably be back!

Stumbled upon this gem and enjoyed a wonderful lunch outside in a convenient location. Great food and service. I had the Philly steak and it was fantastic. Also really enjoyed the new fall spiked apple cider.

I have been a couple times food is ok it the service is poor it always seems like the hostess is no where to be found and the waiters are at the hostess station and have no clue or don't care about customers as they just pretend no one is there I keep trying but to no avail last time I ordered nachos for my entree and onion soup to start but both things and the bread came out all at once so I ate my soup and the nachos were so cold and congealed I could not eat them lucky for them there's not many choices in the area

Try the Burger. You won't be disappointed. Best Burger. Service was good. Enjoy my while meal

first experience & very happy. the outer decor is welcoming & barn-like. The bar area was crowded which was immediately a good sign. Since the bar was full, we sat at a booth in the dining room. Our waitress, Amanda was very nice & knowledgable. The bread and oil that they give complimentary was warm, soft & tasty. The drinks were nothing to write home about...my mojito was terrible but the waitress gladly traded it for a different drink. For entrees, we tried the prime rib and the seafood arogosta. Both were worth the semi-high prices. The sauce served on the seafood arogosta was amazing; creamy with a hint of spices and tomatoes. The dessert tray was VERY tempting, but the large servings filled us up too much. We will definitely be back to try more off this extensive menu.

We brought my Dad who was visiting from out of town and all three of us had a great experience. The Reuben was awesome, the fish and chips was fresh, and the pesto tortellini pasta has become a favorite! The service was spectacular, and our waitress Susan was attentive and friendly. Great experience!

Boy, are they lucky nothing else is around. We come on a semi-regular basis (a few times a year), and tonight we were again reminded why we don't come regularly. The food is fine, but the service... sigh. We came tonight because it has a giant outdoor patio. It's a Thursday evening, early June. Not a cloud in the sky, low 70s. Perfect night for dinner on the patio. Walked in just after 7, and were told the patio was closed due to weather. Then, after we pointed out that there wasn't a cloud in the sky, they called the manager over. He then explained that because the restaurant was slow at 5pm, and they didn't think it would get busy, so the sent the server responsible for the patio home. Ok.... so inside we go. Our server then mistook my Pinot Noir for a Pinot Grigio ("oh, is that red?"), gave my son buffalo wings instead if boneless buffalo wings, forgot to ask for no olive on my salad and didn't include a pen when we paid our check. And the whole thing took FOREVER. Shoot me if I suggest this place again.

This place could be such a slam-dunk, in the middle of nowhere with no competition to speak of. However, it's mediocre. Nice staff, friendly, relatively fast service. Overall, the food was bland or overly salted. Warm bread, but obviously frozen and of the packaged variety. Soup seemed to be canned or pre-packaged, SO salty. The menu seems to be more or less pre-packaged, frozed food from say, Sysco (restaurant suppliers) and not too imaginative and def not fresh. They'd do well to cut down on the size of their menu and focus on quality and freshness. I added a star for service, but the food was disappointing.

Bailey's is a local restaurant for us. We enjoy the consistent atmosphere , and inviting staff. We also enjoy the consistent flavor of the foods and the variety of the menu. Our server Shea made us feel at home and connected without being overly friendly or boisterous in her approach. We would be happy to have her again as our server. The large window section is awesome during the summer but quite chilly in the winter. I'm sure climate control is no fun given the amount of windows there are but maybe some complementary sheepskin blankets or fleece blanket to wrap around your legs would be helpful. Overall it's worth the trip and we will be back

Once a year we try Bailey's hoping for a different outcome. If you are stuck and don't want to drive out of the area- then your stuck with nice atmosphere- and mediocre food. I had the Lasagna and Caesar Salad. The lasagna was bland, lacking fresh ingredients, melted cheese, fresh grated parmesan... I was so disappointed. My husband ordered their special Haddock, Shrimp Pesto entree. He said it tasted great! By why wouldn't an entree come with a side of pasta or rice? Who serves a piece of Haddock by itself? Come on Baileys- time to step it up! Will try again next year.

Great food and atmosphere. Baileys never disappoints. The Mac and cheese is delicious. They have live music most nights.

Enjoyed a dinner out here recently. Food was okay; 4 stars for friendly service and Covid precautions. This was our first restaurant experience since the Covid outbreak. There were panels between every indoor table / booth. If it had been less cool, we would have sat outside in their patio area but it was cooler and windier so we opted for indoor seats instead. The restaurant is at the end of a small.strip plaza. Patio is adjacent to the restaurant entrance and viewable from the parking lot.

Baileys has come a long way. We visit every few weeks and have some favorites! Chicken parm, nachos, the quesadilla and the short rib dinner are some of the greats we keep returning for! Very friendly staff as well!

I think the food is usually good. Good comfort food. But I find at times the service to just be lacking. They never bring out a soup or salad before the entree. I've gone a bunch of times, asked for my soup or salad before every time, they never come through. Last time I went I asked for a booth but they still sat me at this little square table by the waitress station I hate. As I was being sat, I said "I can't have a booth". She just hesitated and still sat me there. Even tried to make a joke and said "it's like a Half of a booth". There's empty booths though. WTF. Wish I had just walked out. I'm less inclined to go back so I don't take any of there booth space. I'll give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5. Half for the half booth they sat me at.
