We were in the area for vacation from Lexington, NC and decided to give this place a try and I am glad we did. I ordered the Ruben sandwich and it was AMAZING! The Irish bar tender (definitely not being offensive) was very nice and made sure to check on us often. Definitely will be back when we are back in the area.

Ordered fish an chips an shepards pie over the phone for pick up. Friendly professional service on the phone and food was ready at the time I requested to pick it up. Food was hot and fresh. I will be going back to try the rest of their menu.

McGanns, one of two co owned in the Mount Pleasant area, is located next to Brickyard Plantation on 17. Friday night features live music at McGanns, and it starts 7ish PM, instead of 9 or 10 pm so you can have music during dinner. Tonight, the one-man music of Steel City Steve was great. The food and draft beer selection are excellent. We had the tasty Irish Stew, from an expansive Irish food selection, (I previously enjoyed the Fish & Chips) and a Murphy's Stout, then a Smithwicks. It's really hard to find restaurants with Stouts and Porters on tap! This is our third visit to McGanns since moving to Mount Pleasant mid 2019. We'll be back.

Google
Great pub / Irish bar with Murphy's on draft and probably one of the best Irish whiskey selections in the States. Really good food plus they show all the EPL matches.

Lots of choices on the menu. Food was great! The staff was very nice and attentive! And the beer, well you know what they say "When in Rome..."

Stopped by for the first time to grab a quick bite to eat. Wings were amazing, ordered them extra crispy and they were perfect. Bartender was super fast and friendly. Mr. & Mrs. Bailey, you have done an outstanding job. Look forward to lunching her more often.

Yelp
Recently reopened, we wanted to give this eatery with its homage to Irish pub type atmosphere a try. The evening we were here there was an actual singer/guitar/bouzouki/ banjo player who really is Irish! Fantastic performance and the sound system was way above what you might expect in a small establishment like this. Impressive. The ambience was friendly and festive, and though many were clearly there for socializing and not as attentive in listening to the music as we were, it did not take away from our enjoyment of it! The crowd did eventually get engaged enough with several songs to dance and sing along. As expected the Guinness was tasty and it was well poured, but the surprise was the food was really quite good. A bit of an Irish pub theme with "bangers and mash" ( grilled sausages over mashed potatoes) and the chicken curry were quite tasty and filling at a fair price. One of the wait staff was sick so the staff was a bit harried and behind when the unexpectedly large crowd arrived for the music, but it all got sorted out and they remained friendly and attentive through it all. I personally love the menu, but there are few vegetarian options, and not much in the way of salads and such. It is early yet, and as the kitchen matures and the work gets out to the locals I expect the menus will develop more options in this area. But we will definitely plan a return trip here!

Yelp
Well we tried this spot when the new owners took over. We were very confused about the happy hour situation. Only one choice of food for each day. Not very good for consumer planning My friend said the fish and chips were good. There was only one person there working and it was lunchtime. The service was good, although slow. We enjoyed the cocktails and beers we had. They've got a nice stage so I'm assuming there's live music as well. We got up there and played around a bit, and the bartender had a fun time laughing at us. Maybe with a constant happy hour menu, we will try it out again!

Yelp
Hadn't been here and decided to stop in. Small Irish themed menu. A few beers on tap. I had the fish tacos, my wife had fish and chips, and my son had a plain burger and fries. They have a kids "Wee Celt burger", but it's not on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to pay $17 for a plain burger and fries. Fish tacos were good. Wanted a local tap beer, didn't have it. Had a Smithwick's, just as cold and wet. Wanted Irish sausage appetizer, no Irish sausage. No biggie. Waitress was pleasant. Country music playing. Left just prior to live act.

Yelp
What a treat to find the former McCann's reopened & thriving. They have revamped the whole set up but it still has some remnants of previous days! The decor instantly makes me feel at home For those of you who don't know I am Irish. So this review is coming from the true Irish aspect!!! We went for Trivia which is on a a Wednesday night 6:30 PM. It was so much fun. no for the food, it was outstanding our table had sausage rolls to start, the dishes included Guinness burger on ashed potatoes with gravy. OMG I am still drooling. it was quite a large serving and I am happy to report. I lapped it up. My daughter had fish and chips with curry sauce on the chips. Delicious. my son had chicken curry, which was also delicious Someone else at the table had the Irish breakfast, which by the way is served all day it is massive and satisfying, tasty, fresh and has IRELAND written all over it . After dinner, we decided to have a concoction of Irish chocolate bars (made by Cadbury, not Hershey's) along with Tayto crisps. Heaven & so reminiscent of my youth at home. Several Guinness were ordered and each one was an outstanding Pint!!! It truly was a delightful time. The atmosphere and service top notch. I'm so happy this pub is close by (Brickyard Strip Mall). A very happy Irish girl last night. Well done to all involved.

Yelp
Food was really good. I don't order cheeseburgers often cause I'm picky but the Celt burger was on the happy hour menu so I gave it a try. It did NOT disappoint at all. Bartender (Jason?) was extremely personable, attentive, and even funny. His openness and knowledge was refreshing. Although we were the first ones in for happy hour the day we went, it quickly filled up and music started a little early. He was so good but I can't remember his name (played on a Thursday and had a pumpkin tip jar). Had so much fun and enjoyed the people, food, drink, and especially the music we stayed way longer than we expected.

Yelp
The service was great. Thanks ladies. I assume they will add to menu; beer, booze, food, etc. as they move forward after just opening. Add real buff wings. A must at any Irish pub.

Yelp
We have tried to support this place. Three times we have gone in the after 2pm and they have been closed. We managed to find them open a couple of days ago and they were out of their fish and chips. Today they are evidently out of the fish and shepherds pie. I give up.

Becky J.

Yelp
I was charged $9 for a vodka soda. Shocking no one was in there! And I'm adding extra spaces because Yelp told me I had to.

Yelp
Popped up to The Celt Irish Pub for a wee pint and snack otw into work. The chicken curry smelled too good- the phone did not eat first. Jimmy was a pleasure to talk with and gave great service. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and check out the live music.

Yelp
The Celt is a true Gem hiding in a strip mall. From the outside it looks kind of small but once you enter and see that huge beautiful bar you know your in a traditional Irish Pub. There's a negative review out there complaining of No craft beers. I say boo fng hoo you, go back to TGI Fridays where you belong. The Celtic staff is super friendly, they pour a perfect pint of Guiness and the dry irish rub wings are a must for you to try. Take it from this full blooded Irishman you will not be disappointed at The Celt. I look forward to my next visit taking an Uber because it's so damn much fun! JOHN HENRY MELVILLE

Yelp
Same thing, different name. If you know you know! Place as dead at 5 on a Friday. Now I know why.

Yelp
Been here twice because I'm so thrilled to have an authentic Irish Pub back in this location (and Bailey's was not it). So disappointed. On both occasions they had such a poor beer selection. On the first visit I was told they were waiting on distributors. Over two weeks later - still only two or three drafts, all Irish, and only domestic bottles/cans. Not a single craft beer. Not even a bad one. Again, was told they were waiting. I understand it is not a craft beer bar but the original owners knew the market well enough to ALWAYS carry one if not two IPAs and several other styles along with the Irish regulars. The food was decent and I would love to go back when they finally get some beer in. Looking at latest menu - it still hasn't happened.

George W.

Yelp
I was there for 2 hours from 3-5 pm on a Monday. Had three Yuengling drafts and my bill without tip was $25.56. Absolutely absurd for MP.

Tatum H.

Yelp
We got the curry fries which were delicious, came with a good amount for $9. For 2 guinness beers was $20 which is crazy to me!!! The glass of beer costed more than the appetizer. There was live music and the vibe of the place was nice. Service was pretty good.

Karl S.

Yelp
Would love to patronize this place but $10.00 for a Guinness? At 4pm on a Friday no less? If Dunleavy's can afford to charge $8.00 on IOP then The Celt can jolly well do the same (if not better) in a Mt. P strip mall with no foot traffic. Just sayin'

Carrie T.

Yelp
So happy that The Celt opened up! Their startup menu is limited but amazing!!! They even have specials! Allie is so full of energy and really makes the place so much fun! Live music as well.....EARLY!...for us happy hour folks! Happy to have our watering hole back but even better.
