Baja Bungalows

We had a wonderful stay at Baja Bungalows. The space is such a perfect piece of Cabo Pulmo. The views from the upper main house are incredible and the outdoor living spaces are so lovely to spend time in. It is such a close walk to town and the water. Lynn and Kent were so friendly and responsive to any needs we had. We would highly recommend.

Kent and Lynn are the consummate hosts. Our snorkeling trip was fabulous, sighting whales,dolphins, sea lions and the biggest school of skip jacks ever. I had a tragic tussle with a hammock and we consulted with Kent for advice for my badly twisted finger. He got the local retired doc to come over and mostly straighten the finger, for free, on a Sunday afternoon!!!! WOW. People are just the nicest ever. And they followed up to check on us as we left early to have orthopedic surgery in San Jose del Cabo. The clinic in Los barriles was fabulous as well, although I hope you never have need of it. We stayed in the Palapa with the outdoor kitchen. It was rustic, as all of Cabo Pulmo but quite lovely for our needs. Bring your ear plugs as there are roosters nearby as is normal in the countryside. Oh and ladies … don’t forget to wear your sports bra on the way there. The road is unpacked and bumpy at towards the end. Use Waze for your nav. Google maps will take you the super wrong rustic way. And listen to their car rental recommendations of cactus!!!

My girlfriend and I met in Cabo Pulmo after being apart for 8 months. Baja Bungalows was the perfect accommodation for our reunion! We stayed in Casa Veronica, a stand-alone bungalow behind the main house. It was so private and cozy, surrounded by a delicately-landscaped desert garden filled with cardinals and orioles that sang to us every morning and evening. The bungalows are just a few minutes walk from the center of Cabo Pulmo, so you get a perfect combination of space and privacy as well as convenience. Veronica, our host, was super helpful and full of information about the best activities in the area. Baja bungalows even had a shed full of gear that was free to use - whether to snorkel, kayak or just play on the beach. The vibes were just what we were looking for. The whole property is very clean, tastefully decorated, and masterfully integrated into the natural environment. Already looking forward to my next trip. Seriously can't recommend enough. It's hosts and places like this that make travel such a joy!

We spent 5 nights on the top floor of the main house in the Baja Bungalows, and were very sad to leave. We loved the airy, open plan layout of the room and the ocean-sunrise views from the balcony, as well as the easy outdoor living - short walk down the arroyo to the beach, outdoor shower, access to network of mountain trails from the estate, stunning snorkeling spots close by, no security concerns.... Our hosts, Lynn and Kent, were friendly, relaxed and a fund of valuable information about the area. They also kindly put us in touch with trail-builder and biking guide, Enrique, who took us on a great mountain bike ride - highly recommended (wear long sleeves - local flora tends to have a few "espinas")! Cabo Pulmo was one of the most enchanting places on our trip through the Baja, and we hope to return soon.

Fabulous! We stayed at both Juan's Casita and the upper New House. Both were outstanding. The upper new house had a great view and the casita has a wonderful private courtyard. My wife and I loved being constantly outside. I agree with others that mentioned the hiking in the mountains...it is great. We snorkeled, whale watched, bird watched and hiked. It was awesome. A key to our trip's success was the hospitality of the exceptional hosts. Lynn and Veronica helped us when we needed a few essentials and gave us great advice on trails. They are generous and knowledgeable. We will be back as soon as we can. Thanks for everything!

Such great value for the price! Spacious and comfortable. Beds are comfortable...not too hard or soft. My husband likes a firm bed while I like soft but we both slept well here. The showers had great water pressure which surprised me. Better than some fancier and more expensive places we've stayed at. We had an entire house and my husband and I stayed on the upper level and loved waking up to he sun rising. Cabo Pulmo isn't big so everything is close by. The ocean is less than a 5 min walk. I'd recommend at least staying 2 nights to enjoy the area. Beyond the diving and snorkeling, there's a really nice coastal hike.

My friends and I did not want to leave Baja Bungalows as we found it to be a slice of paradise. Just a couple of blocks from the beach and main part of the village, this spot made it convenient to get to the shore and yet privately tucked away. We stayed in both floors of the main house (perfect for a large group) and would gather upstairs in the open-air, screened living room to share meals overlooking the ocean to the east. While there are many things to see in the incredible marine reserve, we found it just as pleasant to return to the bungalows and watch the birds or go hiking in the hills behind the house. Our car was parked for almost our entire stay. Life is slow and quiet and rejuvenating there, and I would stay there again without hesitation.

This is our second visit to the Bungalows. Just as great as the first, except that this time it was so GREEN and lush! Lots of bird and butterflies. Exceptional snorkeling and diving with Cabo Pulmo Diving. We brought our groceries in Cabo and cooked most of our meals in house. The water was clear and warm. Lynn went above and beyond, especially when we forgot one of our bags on the way to the airport and she rushed it to us where we met in La Ribera! There were 5 of us in the Main House. We used the upstairs apartment as our main hangout. Beautiful views and plenty of space for all of us. Looking forward to our next trip.
