Bajamar Seafood & Tacos

A fantastic place for fish tacos, but wasn't the biggest fan of the ceviche. Some of the seafood (scallops) tasted quite mushy/soft which was slightly worrisome. The pricing was good for what you get. They have nice deals on several happy hour items that make it a steal.

I lived in Baja Norte for 3 years and have experienced many fish tacos. The battered Baja fish taco here are to die for!! The Pico and aolie perfectly compliment the fish. Simply the best fish tacos I have ever had!! The civeche sampler is something that everyone should experience!! It is absolutely perfect. The best seafood tacos place in Vegas, for sure!!

The staff was friendly and attentive. The calamari appetizer was good - the dipping sauce had a little smoky flavor which made a good combination. The tostada trio was exceptional - the black ahi was melt in your mouth soft. The surf and turf taco was also very delicious. Left satiated but not stuffed which is a good thing.

Heather was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door! The food was amazing!!! I received it fast, it was fresh, and hot! I tried both Marlin tacos and the Gobernador. My hibiscus lemonade came in a cute mason jar. Made me feel at home. The restaurant was clean. I will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a very good fish tacos restaurant, this is the place to go try. Very affordable and very delicious, they specialized in fish tacos, spicy octopus tacos, and shrimp tacos. It all depends what you like. It’s a fast casual restaurant with fresh seafood tacos and excellent prices, and if you go during happy hours you can save even more. Highly recommended!

Price: Menu prices are super fair. Happy hour prices even better. Food: I tried the octopus tacos and they were delicious. Ronnie was right when he said they’re octopus isn’t chewy like people think. The food and drinks here are top notch for sure. The jelly they make and put on the rim of the michelada was super tasty. Service was good too. I feel it is a bit overpriced tho. Probably because they have a strip location and are used to moron tourists paying these high prices. 4 tacos, 1/2 plate of surf and turf fries and two drinks was just over $50 with tax and 20% tip, and that includes happy hour discounts.

Everything we tried was full of flavor and was very fresh and clean. The picture is of the Black Pearl ceviche appetizer and it was phenomenal! Plenty to share (party of 3) Also had the Baja fish taco and the grilled shrimp taco, both are my new favorites on the Vegas Valley . Friendly service, good crowd on a Tuesday evening. We will be back , & soon.

Why did it take us so long to come back here?! Found out they are closing this location sometime in July. Everything was fire that we tried. They do not allow outside drinks or food in this establishment what so ever even if it's water. Our server did bring out ice waters immediately once we got sat. Tight table for a party of 4, hard to get elbow room to box out when you're trying to eat your tacos. The menu offers a wide selection of tacos, tostadas and to top it off they have a special menu and have daily specials as well. What our table ordered: Surf & turf taco- the grilled shrimp were plump and the grilled steak was juicy Spicy octopus taco - cooked perfectly, the octopus was very tender Octopus Chicarron taco - light battered and fried but was still tender Bajamar fish tacos - you can get them battered or grilled. One of the best fish tacos I've had. Surf and turf fries - loaded with steak and shrimp, fries were nice and crispy From the "try something new menu" bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp with smoked marlin. Churros with vanilla ice cream

Review only for the Blue Diamond location. We were seated and right away a female waitress approached our table. From the start she had a very rude standoffish and inpatient demeanor. She was annoyed when I didn't know what I wanted to drink, so I ended up just ordering water because she was rushing me. Mind you the restaurant was empty. The menu is quite extend with very tiny font making it difficult to read at a quick glance. This caused Heather annoyance to increased when I asked for a few more minutes to decide. My husband ordered his food and I ordered a Campechana cocktail thinking it was the safe bet. Unfortunately, I quickly realized the food did not appeal to my taste because it's too sweet for "Mexican Mariscos." I tried the juice from my cocktail and I knew there was not way I going to be able to eat it. The sweetness was overwhelming for me. I let the waitress know that I was not going to eat the cocktail and the reasons why. She look at me and huffing took the cocktail away. I did order anything else because I had already tried some of my husband's ceviche sampler and most of the food has the same sweetness. Mind you, we all have different tastes, likes and palates. In my case the sweetness of the food was overwhelming. That might be just fine for others but not in my case. I ate mainly chips with their Havanero salsa, and some of the ceviche sampler, making sure to avoid the ceviche with the sweet red sauce. I added lots of lemon, havanero salsa and some salt to try to reduced the sweetness of the food. We were on our way out back to our hometown, so I had to eat something, and I was not going to make my husband stop somewhere else for me to eat. For the rest of the the time neither of the two waitressing staff bother to check on us. Except for a quick flyby to refill my water. When we asked for the tab the campechana cocktail was still in the tab. We informed the waiter and this was his reply. He: "well you order it." Me: "Yes but I didn't eat! And I informed her right away. I only tried the juice and immediately sent it back." He: "Well but you ordered it. We don't take things off the tab just because you don't eat." I was taken aback by his response. He stated he was going to ask the manager. It was then that we found out that Heather, the female waitress who had initially taken our order, was the manager. She approached us and said she was not going to take the item off the tab because that's not what they do. That if I didn't like it, that was my problem. That is not the company's policy to remove items from tab "just because you don't like it." And that I was the first person ever to complained about the food being too sweet. I reminded her that I had only tasted the juice. And moreover that she should had informed me of the policy then. Needless to say she said she didn't care what my reasons and complaints were. I asked for the general manager's info. She did have me and email. I asked for the manager's or corporation's number. She refused to give anything else stating that email she'd giving was enough because "the VP was not going to waste his time talking to me. She closed with "just pay and leave my restaurant." I immediately called their downtown location to try to get the number or more information about the manager or corporation. I obtained the information for the downtown location. Spoke with Ricardo who was very attentive to my situation. He helped resolve the issue to the best of his abilities at that point. Ricardo asked us to give him a few minutes to see what he could do to resolve the issue. But we paid the complete tab and left because we didn't feel comfortable with the manager's negative demeanor around us. As we were walking out Heather and the male waitress said to us, "have a nice day," in a highly sarcastic voice with a smirk on their faces. Which was completely unnecessary since at no point had we being rude to them or even raised our voices. As far as the food, if you like traditional Mexican Mariscos this is not the place to go. I would describe it more like a Hawaiian, Japanese and Mexican Fusion Seafood place. Their Havanero salsa is very good and the seafood was fresh based on the few bites I tasted from my husband's ceviche. Everything in infused with too much sweetness. This is coming from someone who has visited just about every restaurant in Las Vegas strip and many local eateries, including the top chef's restaurants. So, if you're looking for a traditional Mariscos place this is not it. I want to thanked and commend Ricardo at the downtown location for taking my call and listening to the issue. He too the time to call me back and offer a temporary solution to this issue, which is what a true manager does!

*******important review******** I have been going to Bajamar for quite some time, I love the food. Service has always been a 3 out of 5. First time ordering to go....quite a shock! The campechana was half the size of what they serve when you eat at the restaurant. The prices have gone up, and they cheated you by giving you half the portion. Ouch...disappointed! Recommendation- DO NOT ORDER TO GO, MORE LIKELY YOU WONT CHECK YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU GET HOME. From experience YOU WILL NOT GET THE FULL PORTION. Eat at the restaurant, don't take home! Enjoy!

Decided to drop by last minute. Love their fish and octopus tacos. They have an awesome happy hour menu.

They have really good tacos, especially the battered fish taco. I want to come back and try their octopus taco next. The ceviches are also very fresh and they have a lot of varieties. The staff was very helpful and gave us good recommendations.

Overall delicious food and quick service! The ceviche trio was my fav and on Thursdays they have a deal for it $18! Unfortunately, our server informed us they would be closing this location at the end of June, but if you're downtown go check them out! Cute little Mexican spot- casual vibes , but good flavorful food

I popped in 20 minutes after they opened and within 10 minutes they were at capacity. That should give you an idea of how great this place is! I had the Bajamar Fish taco, battered and the surf and turf taco. The Bajamar fish taco was probably the best fish taco I have ever had. The surf and turf taco was also very good but not as good as the fish taco. All of the employees were really nice and you can tell by the packed room that their food is delicious. Just a heads up, the kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant so it was a tad bit warm inside. While this time of year that isn't too bad, I can see it being hot during the summer. The food is well worth it though!

Love, love, love this location. Bajamar Seafood & Tacos has been my go-to for delicious fish and shrimp tacos. I visited this location for the first time today and enjoyed everything I ordered. To start my night, I order beans, guacamole, and chips. The beans were tasty. Not too salty and served hot with a bit of cheese melted on top. I came just in time for happy hour so I also order fish and shrimp tacos. 10/10 -- the sauces, cabbage, pico de gallo, and protein were pleasantly presented for the table. The battered and fried shrimp was fresh. The batter was flaky and hot when served. I topped it off with an order of guacamole on top. As for happy hour drinks, I ordered margaritas. My first margarita was a yummy watermelon flavor. Not too sweet or too strong. With a nice kick. I also ordered the blood orange margarita and although it wasn't blended the flavors were on point. All this to say -- if you like seafood and tacos run to this location!

Food was amazing as well as customer service! We will be back again! We especially love the battered fish tacos and SUR turf fries!

If you love authentic and flavorful mariscos this is the place for you. Of the many places in Vegas serving seafood this is one of my favorite spots. Everything I have tried from this place has been of the highest quality and the flavors are always on point. Some of my favorite items include the carne asada tacos, aguachiles, and the wipeout tostada. The establishment is very clean and organized, and the staff are always friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe I've never been here but I will be back and frequently! It's taco Tuesday and I was going to somewhere else but my spirit lead me here. I've been passing here for YEARS and I sure regret missing out! The HH is amazing! Great specials. I had 2 Corona Premiers, Ahi Tacos and surf n turf fries. Wow! Amazingly delicious! The service was TOP NOTCH! My people were so personal and friendly. I truly enjoyed my service and ambiance. They play reggae music and it's open kitchen concept. Thank you for a great time!

This place is the Las Vegas institution... Super fresh seafood, large portions, and amazing taste to every single one of the dishes...I love BajaMar !! Will make the extra effort to come to this spot while In vegas - It's worth it !

Hello everyone, First of all, I want to say that I am not a big fan of writing bad reviews or criticism. We have been regulars at this place since we moved to this area. We love the food and cannot forget to mention the great job done by the kitchen staff and the two very nice waitresses. However, our past few experiences were so unpleasant that for the first time in our lives, we left the restaurant. I will write about the last experience which led us to leave. We have two little kids (ages 2 and 4), and we always carry their water bottles to every restaurant we visit. So, when we arrived, a server immediately approached us, saying that we were not allowed to have kids' water bottles. I asked why, as we have always come here and never heard of such a rule. He said it was the manager's policy. Then, a bold guy, who had been rude in a previous encounter, came over. He asked for our drinks first, and then for the kids' drinks, to which I replied they were fine with water. He promptly informed me that kids' water bottles were not allowed. When I asked why, he said he didn't have a tester to ensure they only contained water. He even insinuated that if there was alcohol in them, it was our parents' issue. However, because he didn't have a tester, he couldn't check, and that was his responsibility. It was confusing, as we have been to high-end places where we never had any issues bringing kids' water bottles. I also want to mention a previous incident where we came with a party of 8 people. Six were already inside, while I was outside getting my kid from the car seat. My husband informed him that we would be a party of 8, and he refused to put the tables together until everyone was inside. My husband explained that I was right outside with the sleeping child and needed to come in with the stroller, but he still refused until my husband agreed to be a party of 6. He could easily see me through the window, but he still insisted on his rule. We will never go back to that place. The guy there is rude, very rude, despite claiming to have experience in restaurant service. I have worked in the industry for many years, and when you have regular customers, especially those who always recommend your place to friends, you treat them nicely. But he targeted us every time. To the waitresses, if you read this, I just want to say that you girls are good, always nice and helpful.

The food was cold and had no taste. Not worth it. This place is way too expensive for low quality food. Very disappointing. Service was ok. I will not be going back there's way better option out there.

Went here for lunch on a weekend. The inside is pretty cute, not a super huge space. The service was good, I had no issues. The food was so delicious. I had been craving octopus tacos since I had them in San Diego and these did not disappoint. All the food we got was delicious. I really liked their poke nachos and the tacos I got. This place is dangerously close to where I live so I'll definitely be back.

I'm from Baja and I've tried different places here in the states and they were always no bueno. BUT this place it's delicious! Good fish, shrimp tacos and aguachile tostadas... everything was good... almost forgot the aguas frescas, I only tried the horchata and it is really good horchata, perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar. Wished I had pics but everything was soooo good, that I didn't have the time

My family and I love this place. It is so good and fresh. Your food comes out quickly and the portion is a great size for what you pay. Menu has tons of choices. They do close kind of early, 8:00 Monday through Saturday and 6:00 on Sunday.

I've been wanting to try Bajamar for a while now They specialize in seafood tacos but they have a some none seafood items on the menu. We started with the Baja Tour Tostadas & the Loreto Shrimp. The ahi on the tostadas was fresh and had great flavor. But let me tell you, the shrimp was where it was at. The shrimp are fried and come out swimming in buffalo sauce. I put buffalo sauce on basically everything so this was a dreammm for me. I will go back just for that. I ordered the battered fish taco and the lucas taco for my main. The fish taco was great, again not fishy at all. The lucas taco was good but for me my least favorite item we ordered. The taco was a little too messy for me. Loved Bajama! Can't wait to go back and try more things.

So good! Highly recommend the Gobernador tacos but everything we tried was delicious and service was great.

This is become one of my new go to favorites. At least once every two weeks I'm at this restaurant enjoying the delicious ceviche and one of my favorites. Is the bacon wrapped shrimp. The margaritas are always tasty and strong. Survis is extremely friendly and fast. Great pricesand a great location that's easy to get in and out of. Try it you would love it.

The spicy shrimp tacos and Bajamar fish tacos were so good, we couldn't resist having seconds! The Carne Asada Tacos were so extraordinary, I went back for a second order! Fish Chicharron was also a hit. Service was fast and friendly. They seemed really happy that we came in to try things out. We were very comfortable with the casual atmosphere, wearing shorts and tee-shirts. Can't wait to go back and get some more tacos!

Delicious! Great service, excellent food, and a clean operation. The staff provided a welcoming and friendly visit from the moment we walked in. The staff was helpful when guiding us through the menu and made some great recommendations on what to order We started out with the surf and turf fries. The meat was tender and flavorful. The seafood was cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. I ordered the battered fish taco, grilled shrimp taco, battered shrimp taco, and the octopus taco. Each item was excellent and it was difficult to rank them. I'm gonna say the octopus was #1 because the overall flavor and texture. The fish taco was a strong #2 and I think the shrimp battered was #3. I'm not a big fan of shrimp, but I was blown away by how tasty it was. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. Check this place out if you want to try something different. It's really good!

Really nice spot. It was relatively quiet when I went but it has a nice sports bar kind of feel. The service was kind but nothing to write home about. The food though... that's where it separates itself. I really enjoyed their tacos. Now I do wanna say, I did eat them take out so I think that's a major consideration. My roommates and I all thought the tacos were spectacular. This is a spot I would definitely hit up again!!

Food is good. Lots of different options. Happy hour is a great option to try a little bit of everything. Service was great and ambience too. You can see the employees working. It's a nice little place for a quick bite.

First timer visit and was amazed with the ambiance- Baja seaside feel, friendly service and a small watering hole neighborly joint for happy hour 4-6 pm Monday to Friday. Their specials for tacos and other seafood specialties and beer can't be beat. Prices are within reasonable range. Food is prepared fresh and delectable. Will definitely comeback and recommend.

Wowee kazowee! That's what I was thinking when I bit into my Tsunami Tostada! Others in my party tried the shrimp tacos and Gobernador taco with octopus. Big grilled shrimp in the shrimp tacos with slaw. The octopus on the Gobernador was perfect! The sauces were great: habanero, chipotle, tomatillo and aioli. Fast friendly service. Nice interior. Canned drinks for sodas, bottled Mexican Cokes and frescas.

This place is SO close to my house, which makes it so much better! Their fish tacos are 10/10! They have so many options to choose from, so you're bound to find something you life, even if you're not big on fish tacos. I'm a big michelada girl, and they have some great ones! It was seasoned perfectly! Staff is also great! It's a small location, but a good amount of tables for the type of space they're in. I've never had to wait for a table either, so it's a really great spot in my opinion!

The tacos are so good here ! It is an explosion of flavors and they are big tacos. I love their fish chicharrón specially when it's extra crispy. Service is always fast. We never wait a whole lot on our food. The ambience is very chill. Totally recommend

A fan of this location since it's bigger than the original location. Large tables to accommodate bigger parties and they serve beer and wine. Yay!!!! My go to order is the Fish Taco and Tupac swears by Octopus so give that dish a try. Order the fish Taco grilled or battered. I order it battered. Come check them out.

The best seafood tacos! Must have are:the smoked marlin, super flavorful, balanced with mustard special sauce that counter acts the rich oiliness. Chicharon octopus taco has the perfect texture, (if you eat octopus alot ,you know what I mean!) Shrimp taco yummy with slaw.

Bruh!!! The michis with their special tajin mix around the rim. Bomb com!! The tacos are pretty dam good as well. Service is 10/10 we came in 20mins until closing. They welcomed us with no hesitation. Shout out to the dude Ronnie, super personable. We will be back forsure!

We Come here all the time. We live down the street and our favorite place to grab food after a round of golf. Delicious ceviche and drinks with great service

This was a really great decision for me to pop in on my way home and give it a try! One of my very good friends recommended the place and I've been wanting to go. I realized I was in the area on my way home and decided to stop in. To my surprise it was happy hour which included a lot of the things I was planning to purchase. Who doesn't love saving a buck. The fish and shrimp tacos were fantastic and fresh! I really loved the rice also. I felt the chips were a bit under salted, as were the beans in my opinion but, you don't come here for the beans! I look forward to trying more food! They did have fantastic offerings for alcohol if you do that, and the service was on point! Very friendly. I look forward to returning and trying some of the other options as the menu is huge.

I actually love the food here but I didn't appreciate walking in and being offered a seat at the bar where there were two tables available. Last time I checked the purpose of a restaurant was to serve food to customers. Maybe it's time to hire a bus boy!

Great Flavors!! Portions are a great value without giving up quality. Every time we eat here the food tastes the same. This is a consistently easy going option for Ceviche. The service always friendly.

We order from here frequently to go. I always get the shrimp tacos. Tonight, when I opened my box it was some kind of fish. We called but all they offered was to make a new one or we had to return the food for a refund. And I'm guessing it was the Baja Mar Tacos which is cheaper than the Shrimp. We are 15 mins away with young kids - not ideal! I guess lesson learned always check your order. Disappointing they couldn't even offer a credit for the next time we order. It was their mistake and they are asking us to drive back. Ridiculous.

I tried a handful of the menu options at Bajamar but from now on I will only be ordering the octopus tostada, it's crazy good!

Pro-tip: Happy hour from 4-6pm Mondays-Fridays. You can get flour tortilla instead of corn upon request but I think the corn is better and I don't typically like corn tortillas. Sign up through toast tab and get $10 off in your birthday month. Highlights: One of my favorite taco places ever. They have lots of options, good flavor, and the best corn tortillas. They are bigger tacos hence the price. The surf and turf fries are really good because the fries are actually crispy! Lowlights: I've ordered the surf and turf fries on happy hour at their other location and I think it's smaller here because they put it on an oval plate instead of a circle plate.
