Where to Order Cinco De Mayo Takeout and Delivery Meals in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Bajo Sexto is teaming up with sister restaurant Adele’s for a Cinco de Mayo meal of chips, salsa, and guacamole, plus Mexican kale salad, baked enchiladas, and tres leches cake. Dinners for two are $45, cocktails (like the Bajo margarita) are $25 by the pint and $30 by the quart." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Google
Bajo Taco was amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of personality—just like the staff. We had a bit of a picky eater in our group, and Katie was incredibly patient and accommodating the entire time. She made sure everything was just right and did it all with a smile. Highly recommend if you want great food and even better service!

Google
A nice quiet little spot to stop & refuel after navigating the hustle & bustle of downtown Nashville. Food was served quickly & accurately by the friendly staff. I personally had the Baja Nachos with pork, alongside the Mexican Potatoes, & the Prickly Pear Juice. While the potatoes didn't give the texture I was craving, the nachos delivered a nice crispness. The juice was especially refreshing. Other family members enjoyed their orders of Baja Fish Tacos with a Piña Colada, & Smothered Giant Beef Burrito with a Sidekick of Refried Black Beans w/ Queso Fresco & a La Casa Margarita.

Google
Food was average and mostly just really bland or overly spicy. Atmosphere like a subway, order at the counter, eat & leave. Seemed over priced for sure.

Google
Very tasty food. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. You order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Have to get everything else yourself.

Google
We ate here after our tour at the Country Music Hall of Fame and loved the spicy mango margaritas and nachos! Sam and Katie are the best :)

Google
I am a local makeup artist who works down town frequently and I love stopping in the taco shop to have a margarita and some tacos at the end of a long work day. I love going when Kris is behind the counter, she always gives amazing service and makes an amazing spicy marg! Highly recommend checking this place out and say hi to Kristen!

Google
Awesome tacos. Awesome food. Prices are decent. The fish taco was my favorite, and the nashville hot chicken was spicier than expected (in a good way). Beans and corn were great as well. My picky daughter loved the salad and wife enjoyed her chicken burrito as well.

Google
4 Stars – Tacos, Tunes, and a Side of Confusion BajoTaco at The Country Music Hall of Fame is a solid spot for a quick bite and a margarita (or two… or whatever, I’m not counting). The service is impressively fast—almost like they knew I was coming. But let’s talk about the entrance. Walking in feels less like stepping into a restaurant and more like sneaking in through the employee breakroom. There’s no host, no server—just you, a counter, and a decision to make. Want a drink? Order it yourself. Want food? Order it yourself. Want emotional support? Well, that’s on you too. That said, the margs were good, the tacos hit the spot, and I did eventually figure out where to sit without looking too lost. Would I come back? Absolutely. But next time, I’m walking in with confidence like I belong there.

Yelp
This food was delicious and drink was refreshing. The server suggested I try the trio taco sampler if I wanted some different tastes so I already knew the service was off to a GREAT start. The restaurant itself is located right next to the Country Music Hall of Fame and had both indoor and outdoor seating. It was the perfect setting for a post-museum bite. The tacos were absolutely AMAZING.

Yelp
For a little hole in the wall restaurant it wasn't that bad smell place with tables and chairs casual ambiance. The service was self serve so the only service was the person cooking or making drinks . The food was ok not the best but when you're hungry it's good
google avatar

Yelp
Convenient to Omni hotel, good for a quick bite, but was a bit salty for us. Had two tacos and a bowl.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Bajo Taco is adjacent to and in the same building as the Country Music Hall of Fame and is just as convenient and offers better food choices than the museum cafe (which I admit I did not try but cmon who are we kidding here). Avoid the watered down Horchata and get the Sexto Salad with smoked pork - mouthwateringly tender and blends incredibly well with the fresh spring greens/romaine, guacamole, steamed long grain rice, chips, radish slices and coquita cheese. Every bite is a symphony of flavors - it will not disappoint. That's all

Yelp
What's not to like? $7 pre-show Margaritas before concerts hockey/ everything? Give them a try!
google avatar

Conrad L.

Yelp
Super convenient made to order meals at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. Located near the gift shops on the first floor, this was just what I needed after touring the museum.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican aka HOT!!! Very nice staff and quick service. Had the 3 taco sampler with one beef, one carnitas, and one Nashville hot chicken. All were very good with a bit of a kick. Nachos are great homemade chips and good queso. Highly recommend. Outside and indoor seating. Indoors is a bit loud

Yelp
Stopped in before Saturday's hockey game and the place was packed. The line moved slow at first but picked up quick. The staff was friendly and killed the rush. I had ordered the combo plate with Carnita and Chipotle chicken tacos at $14. While it's a little pricier than I like to pay for tacos that's everywhere now and not just here. Service was quick and the food was amazing. Definitely a go to when I want tacos in the area.

Yelp
This is an easy place to pop into after touring Hall of Fame or other Nashville sites. It's clean, the food was tasty and it's busy. Order and pay at the counter, then take a number and they'll bring your food. My guest and I both liked our dishes. I got the Two Taco daily special for $14 that comes with small sides of rice and beans. The tacos were presented nicely but could use a bit more of the sides. It's enough to satisfy and get you back to seeing the Nashville sites. Drinks are bottled or ice water- no fountain. It's crowded inside as tables are close together, but there is an outdoor area too. All in all, a nice stop and since we get a little discount for being CMHOF members we will probably return.

Yelp
Nestled in the Country Hall of Fame Museum and right next to the bathroom. I got their $14 taco combo plate. I got the coconut shrimp and Nashville hot chicken. Overall, it was the delicious, but nothing to rave about. I like the coconut shrimp more than the chicken before it was battered. The food was slightly cold so one star off for that. No salsa bar. I got my hunger satisfied right before the museum so really convenient location.
google avatar

Zac C.

Yelp
Food was nothing to rave about, queso was decent and the fish taco was decent. I work around the corner and thought to try it out. Service was pretty quick and the cashier was really nice! It's in a decent spot, though I wouldn't sit inside because it's too compact for me. I wouldn't really recommend this place as a local tbh but Its an okay spot for a quick bite and okay food

Yelp
Definately Stopped in to get out of the heat and had a fabulous time! Great bartender Dulce made us welcome and was so nice to tall to. Don't miss this hidden gem!! Absolutely delicious and worth stopping in!

Yelp
Serviceable lunch right across the street from the convention center. The food didn't blow my mind, but it wasn't trash either. Fed me with something that wasn't disgustingly greasy. I had a beef hard shell, chicken soft shell and rice. It was just enough food for what I was looking for. Also tried an Agua Fresca which was refreshing on the hot day. Staff was quick, making the line move fast. The wait time to get food was also fine. Not super speedy, but not slow.
google avatar

Heather G.

Yelp
Was in town for a work conference at the music city center. This restaurant is directly across the street from it. They have seating outside and some inside. For the lunch rush on a hot day, there is definitely not enough room inside for everyone. Tried the fish taco and the hot chicken taco. The tacos are small - street taco size, so if you come hungry plan on 3-4 tacos. I definitely recommend both. Very tasty! I also liked that the tortillas are also fresh! There are not any fountain drinks, so be prepared to buy a bottled drink. (Photo is from my coworker as I was already half way done with mine)

Yelp
We came here in the mood for tacos before going to the Hall of Fame. This place is in the same building with indoor and outdoor seating. You go up to the counter to order and then they bring you your food and give you a number. They have most Mexican favorites like burritos and tacos and they also have a large selection of alcohol. I ordered one of their slushies which aren't pre mixed with alcohol. They add the alcohol of your choice to it, so I had whiskey. The drink was STRONG. The bottom shelf taste was not well canceled out by the mixer. I ordered three tacos, a Nashville hot chicken, shrimp, and carne asada. The Nashville hot is no joke, it is very spicy. The shrimp were decent and the carne asada was fine. However, it is not authentic; very white washed Mexican food. They did load the tacos to the brim with meat, which I appreciate. I also had a side of rice which was not only hard but the worst excuse for Mexican rice in my life. It was literally white rice with cilantro, disgusting. The pricing wasn't horrible but definitely not cheap. Wouldn't be a stop in Nashville for my next visit!

Yelp
I love my tacos. This is one fine taco place. I usually stick to a simple ground beef on a hard shell taco. Add lettuce and pico for extra color and taste. It's hard to screw up something that simple. (But I'm not talking about those places) "Holy chihuahua" after the first bite I was wishing I was hungrier. I don't think I have ever ate a more delicious crispy taco in my life. The meat had a wonderful smoky flavor and the lettuce and pico were spot on. Mind you they were $5 each (pricey) but I'm willing to pay good money for good food. My wife had pull pork and she was very pleased with her selection. I gave her a bite of mine and I got a "oh wow that's delicious". So in Nashville wanting something good to eat quick and easy. This is the place. Heck I've got another day here I'm thinking about going there tomorrow for lunch again.

Yelp
Price was appropriate. Good value for your dollar. Friendly service. Outdoor patio was very nice.

Yelp
I literally ran in here quick to grab a large strawberry margarita and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. If you stop by the museum, definitely grab one before you leave the building.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
Great food in a perfect location. Seating is a little uncomfortable but the service was excellent.
google avatar

Diane G.

Yelp
Had lunch here after spending several hours in the adjacent museum. We were starving, and this was convenient...and who doesn't love tacos? We both had the chicken burrito. The chicken was good, and it had rice and lettuce - or maybe kale? - it was a healthy, decent sized burrito. It was good (not great, but good). Our food was made to order and delivered to our table and the service was good. Seats and indoor seating are both a little small. There is a decent sized bar area that we did not experience, but looked quite popular when we were there.
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
Food is phenomenal. Ordering your food is not what you would expect at a restaurant but one it comes out, possibly the best Mexican cuisine I've had in a long time.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Stopped here just for drinks that were discounted as part of our bus tour. We tried the strawberry and guava margaritas. The guava has a thicker texture. I personally liked the strawberry one more because it tasted like strawberry juice fruit punch. Both of them hit pretty hard (heavy alc). The store itself has indoor and outdoor seating. It's a convenient place to stop for a snack after going through the Hall of Fame. It makes the hallway smell amazing LOL. Service was quick and without our tour group, the line generally isn't that bad.

Yelp
It's been a while ever since I decided to write a review, normally I try to praise and look at the bright side of things, and hope for the best in all aspects in life. However, when something that's not at to a certain standard, I would have a constructive criticism and feedback in hope for improvement, or give it as a heads up to new patrons bringing their business to the venue. In this case, a restaurant, sitting at a prime location, next to both the hockey arena or rink, and a massive convention center, in the middle of a vibrant town, Music City Center, Nashville, TN. I'm not a very demanding foodie, nor a food critique from Michelin, however, I can probably say, that having lived in many countries, exposed to many cuisine, culture, people, I know a thing or two about certain type of food, in this case Mexican food, or Americanized-Mexican food. From street food, aka food trucks, to sit-down restaurants, here in the States, at the borders, and also right at the heart of Mexico, I know what an authentic Mexican food should look like, taste like, and also what not. If you say Taco Bell is a good for Tacos, Burritos or Quesadillas, I'll laugh so far in your face, cuz, that's not a real Mexican food, kind of saying Panda Express is a good Chinese restaurant. Anyway, going back to today's review, I was horrified by their tacos, nachos, salad, etc. You can all see for yourself from the pictures, I'm sharing below, the tacos, no matter "carne asada aka ground beef" didn't have any taste, bland and plain, same with "carnitas -- basically it look like pull pork", I assume being in Nashville, Southern State, maybe they've substitute with it, the chicken was also plain, and chewy but not in a good way, more like chewing gum aka rubber taste, one of the tacos had so much liquid that kept dripping the entire paper plate. In order to get some chips, you have to order with 3-sauces, any combination of red salsa, orange sauce and guacamole, or other combination was over $15, that's like a steal. Moreover, the worst part of all, the grease on the chips, and nachos tasted deep fried and re-fried you case basically see the oil, grease all over the chips, we couldn't even eat them, taste so gross, unless you are willing to go under the knife for a bypass, be my guest. And the churros, it was so hard, that it felt like a wooden stick, which we tried to bend it, to a point it broke in half, can you believe that? Even Costco serve much tastier churros by a mile. We ended up not finishing the food, just felt disgusted from the food and experience and left to not ever come back. Like I say at the beginning, hope the owners take a deep look at what they are serving to the patrons visiting their restaurant, and hope they have some pride and improve their food, cuz, otherwise, any other restaurant in the area serve much better food than they do. Cuz, trust me if Gordon was visiting, he'll be shouting at the top of his lungs! Given what has been said, even Taco Bell taste 10X better than what we had here.

Yelp
I went here for lunch when I was at a conference across the street and there was a huge line because of all the people at the conference but the staff were very quick to take orders and we got our food about 15 minutes after ordering which I thought was impressive given the number of people. I tried the coconut shrimp taco and a fish taco and both were flavourful and packed to the brim. I also got a side of steamed vegetables (broccoli with cotija cheese) and Mexican street corn. It was a pretty good deal for 14 dollars and I left stuffed!
google avatar

Jill S.

Yelp
Excellent food Fish taco was fantastic Fast and Friendly service Clean So easy after visiting museum of country music I didn't have any alcohol but people who did were pleased.
google avatar

Yelp
I selected to dine here for a quick bite while visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. As almost every food location within the building, they were fairly busy. The ordering process is fast-casual simple - one counter for food order, and another for bar beverages. A printed menu is available at the counter, and once your order is made and paid, you are given a number to place on your table and the meal is delivered to the table. I ordered a ground beef taco at a reasonable price of $5 and an iced tea, Really impressed with the non-chain taco. An impressive amount of ground beef and other toppings in this taco. Make sure to have a fork and napkins as you will need both! Very good flavor, Also impressive was the waste containers at the restaurant and other placed inside the Hall of Fame. You toss your refuse into well-marked containers so the waste can be properly broken down and recycled. The only ding I have for the restaurant are the counter lines. Both lines easily go into the dining area with only a few people in line and are not clearly defined between those ordering food or beverages.

Yelp
Food is okay, definitely not great. Service is terrible and non-existent, waiter would rather throw the food in your face. Least helpful, would not even open the drinks unless asked. Not super great place to sit and eat, kinds brings down the Nashville vibe that's going on rest of the downtown.

Colin L.

Yelp
Wow - talk about a gem hidden in plain sight - it was cold outside so having finished touring the Museum we were hungry - it is the coldest in more than a decade so we didn't want to slip slide on the streets and popped in here - oh my - what a surprise - AMAZING food and such great service, shocked and delighted we will be back!
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I picked up a quick lunch from fast casual Bajo Sexto. I saw the Bajo nachos come out while I was in line ordering and that's what I went for. The nachos were huge and topped high with plenty of cheese, beans and chicken. The chicken and toppings were fresh and tasty. My boyfriend got the cheese quesadilla and it was also solid. Service was fast and prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Khadija S.

Yelp
Only downside- counter ordering. Everything else, A+. Our group tried shrimp tacos, tofu tacos, quesadilla, rice and beans. They have frozen margaritas (yum). The guava margarita was tried and loved. The food was cleaned off the plates. Nice and fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. You can actually sit at the bar for full service also and not have to order at the counter. If I lived in the city I'd be there every week. Give it a try.
google avatar

Darin M.

Yelp
Such terrible service at that place we decided to bail. After a wonderful tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame, we thought we would grab a drink (and maybe chips/salsa) before heading back to our hotel. We walked in and sat down at the bar and were completely ignored. What? You don't know me well enough to show such disdain. After several minutes I walked up to the cash register and asked if we could get a drink. I was given an "eat shit" stare and told I could get in line. Huh? If you have a bar and barstools in front of a full bar, then you should be prepared to at least acknowledge people who sit at your bar (maybe even serve them). To have such lousy service in Nashville is unforgivable. Every other place we visited in the city was welcoming and friendly, but this place can't figure it out. One and done. We will never be back and will advise our friends and family to do the same.
google avatar

Sophia W.

Yelp
Tacos are great, especially the taco plate, decent prices. Would not recommend the coconut shrimp taco, I couldn't taste the shrimp. But the chicken taco is great!! Service is poor, the lady at the register was rude unfortunately. But worth a stop for the quality of food!
google avatar

Marney R.

Yelp
Worst experience at a taco restaurant. We ordered two salad bowls and the guy running food handed us an order that was completely wrong. I was so busy fixing that order that I didn't quality check mine and despite ordering NO CREAM and NO ONIONS (repeating that twice for the guy at the cash register) I got both on my salad bowl. Food was also sub par so horrible service and less than mediocre food made for a one or even zero star experience
google avatar

courtney c.

Yelp
Everyone was friendly from the register to the bar! The tacos were tasty. They have $5 margs on game day and the Predators play today.
google avatar

Kieu-My N.

Yelp
Good place if you're looking for a quick affordable bite! I would highly recommend their burritos- I got the carnitas which had amazing flavor and was HUGE. All of my other friends said their food had great flavor as well. Their guac has a nice kick to it which I was a huge fan of. However, the batch of chips I got had some stale ones thrown in the mix.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
This was conveniently located to the Country Music Hall of Fame. I ordered a grande quesadilla, it was good! Margaritas were good. Would recommend for a quick stop before heading to the Hall of Fame.

Cayden B.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing service - especially Katie. The churros were delectable and Katie was awesome to our group.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Fast and Friendly service! The food was excellent and we can't wait to go back. Would definitely recommend it to others
google avatar

Cody D.

Yelp
Had a volleyball team lunch here because it's right next to the convention center, across from the Bridgestone Arena. It's a small place, but the food was really good. The chips that come with the guacamole are outstanding. The guacamole? Yeah...fresh and very good. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken tacos, because, you know...Nashville. If you love spicy and delicious, try one. If you shy aware from spicy, may want to try another. My wife said the beef taco was okay, and that she wished she ordered two chicken tacos. Worth trying if you're in the area.
google avatar

Paul R.

Yelp
Unforeseen circumstances led us to desperately seek a quick meal before a show at the Ryman and Bajo Sexto seemed to fit the bill with open tables and walk-up ordering. Bad move; worse than being a tourist trap located within the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bajo Sexto is also a trashy dump with awful food and "service" provided by people who also clearly wished they were somewhere else. Margaritas were overly sweet and watered down and served in plastic cups. Chicken cheese quesadilla was at least warm and edible but virtually tasteless; the hot chicken and pork tacos were cold, and when sent back were served barely warm, completely dried out and terrible. Just glad not to have gotten sick from this place; NEVER AGAIN. AVOID.
google avatar

Kandis P.

Yelp
Cute lively place where you can grab tacos on Broadway. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Location is perfect, although they were closing at 5 PM on a Saturday, so it isn't open late! The staff was very nice and the food came out quick and to order. Both seafood options were fried, so I opted for a special request for a vegetarian burrito. They were nice about making the adjustment. I recommend adding a little hot sauce to kick up the flavor! This place is great for a quick meal.
google avatar

Greg E.

Yelp
Making my way to the Hilton Downtown Nashville, came upon this restaurant on 5th. Having just opened for lunch, was the first customer of the day. Staff was welcoming and friendly and I ordered the animal nachos and a soft drink. The food came promptly and was enough for 3 or even 4. It was flavorful and the chips remained crunchy until I couldn't eat any more. They also have an outdoor seating area that allows for people watching. Customers started coming in for drinks and food and they're also pet friendly. Highly recommended for either a bite to eat or a hearty lunch.

J C.

Yelp
It was surprising how slow the service was given the location across the street from the Music City Convention Center and adjacent to the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. The food was not seasoned well. There was minimal flavor and the beans and corn on the Bajo salad tasted as if they came out of a can. There was a lack of salt to enhance the flavor profile. There are better options for higher quality food at a similar price point in close proximity.
google avatar

Zak R.

Yelp
Cute little Taqueria tucked away adjacent to The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. The guys at the bar were hospitable and kind. Kindness is strength. Avoid anyone who doesn't agree with that statement. Say NO to Simon.

Nicolette T.

Yelp
Yes love this place! I was a regular back when they had the storefront on Charlotte...missed it dearly when they closed...and then found out they had a smaller location Downtown...right by my work? My favorite guacamole around town, it's just fresh and the perfect texture. I came during my lunch hour and it was moderately busy. Luckily, I was able to snag a table, but there is always bar seating available as well. Service was great, the staff were so friendly and held conversation with me, and even gave me some tips on things going on around the city--which is always appreciated of course. I obviously ordered by favorite chips & guac (I got a side of guac, not the app sized order because that's just too much for 1 little lady). I was torn between getting just a plain salad or tacos...went with the salad, thank goodness because it was everything but plain. After seeing the carnitas salad I realized that I probably didn't need the chips & guac..because it's practically on the salad. The carnitas was tender and flavorful, leafy greens were well dressed and crunchy, and all of it together was SOO good. It's a pretty big salad, so I had to take most of it to-go.

Yelp
best food of my life. quesadillas very phenomenal. drinks terrific. service is simply amazing. ambiance was awesome, so chill.

Yelp
Great place for an easy meal! We dropped in for lunch after seeing the hall of fame and it was a good experience. Each of us had a margarita with chips and queso. The queso was good and is a large portion. The chips are a little flaky but still very good. They give free refills on the chips as well since the first portion isn't enough. We then had the ground beef and Nashville hot chicken tacos. Both were on the smaller side but were packed full of meat and toppings. Everything was very flavorful and would definitely order again. I'd recommend this as a stop while you are in the area.
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
Came here for a snack and ordered guacamole with 3 tacos; hot chicken, coconut shrimp, and pork carnta. The guac was so good and seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed th3 coconut shrimp the best!

Amber M.

Yelp
Such a great meal prior to exploring the Country Music Hall of Fame! And it is actually within the same building. I got the Bajo Bowl with Carnitas - so delicious! My husband got the Cartintas Tacos and Quac - also very good. Feel free to get a Margarita too - they have lids so you can take it with you on the way out!
