Visited Backe de Bussel last week while visiting my daughter in Copenhagen, and I have to say—I was genuinely impressed. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-notch.
Our server, Sarah, was fantastic. She made us feel right at home, got our drinks quickly, and offered great recommendations—including an organic French wine with a hint of orange and a local beer, both of which were excellent.
She also helped us navigate the menu, suggesting a few appetizers and snacks that ended up being some of the highlights of the evening. We sat by the bar near the front door, which I’d recommend for a party of two—it’s a great spot to take in the energy and watch the action. The seating in the back looked cozy and inviting as well.
Some of the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had—creative, flavorful, and memorable. Standout dishes included the asparagus, the seaweed salad, and the tart—all beautifully prepared and delicious.
Also worth noting: the prices were very reasonable given the quality.
