The 38 Best Restaurants in Copenhagen, Denmark | Eater

"Tucked away in artsy Nørrebro, Baka d’ Busk is run by a group of friends, the self-styled “plant boys,” who devote the kitchen to their vegetarian ethos. Set with a variety of plates from different antique shops, no two tables look the same — except for ubiquitous shot glasses. (It’s almost as if servers are telepathic; visualize the word “vodka,” and a shot will come flying.) Dishes are large — chef and owner Jonathan Zeuthen Knoll doesn’t want anyone leaving hungry — and beautifully executed, with towering layers of prime veggies. The wine list is devoted to small craft producers." - Anna Norström

It was truly food dancing in my mouth as the tastes are surprisingly good! Definitely a recommendation if you like to have a good vegan experience. The staff is friendly and very professional. All the cutlery and plates, glasses are different. Circularity is definitely important :)

Baka d’ Busk completely exceeded my expectations. From the first bite to the last, every dish was packed with fresh flavors and clearly made with care. The menu is creative without being pretentious, and the portions are just right. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, perfect for enjoying great food without feeling rushed. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the experience — this one does. Highly recommend.

It was amazing! There are not many places in Copenhagen where you can get vegan food, here it was just deliciously vegan, plus you can take your carnivore friends and family here, they will definitely also like it. It's good food that happens to be vegan! So many delicious vegetables!

Visited Backe de Bussel last week while visiting my daughter in Copenhagen, and I have to say—I was genuinely impressed. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-notch. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic. She made us feel right at home, got our drinks quickly, and offered great recommendations—including an organic French wine with a hint of orange and a local beer, both of which were excellent. She also helped us navigate the menu, suggesting a few appetizers and snacks that ended up being some of the highlights of the evening. We sat by the bar near the front door, which I’d recommend for a party of two—it’s a great spot to take in the energy and watch the action. The seating in the back looked cozy and inviting as well. Some of the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had—creative, flavorful, and memorable. Standout dishes included the asparagus, the seaweed salad, and the tart—all beautifully prepared and delicious. Also worth noting: the prices were very reasonable given the quality. Highly recommended.

We don't really ever visit non-vegan restaurants but our last night in Copenhagen and everything was closed so we went for it. Immediately welcoming. Such a great atmosphere and our server Spiky was so great and friendly and patient explaining the menu to us. Even though it was late and the kitchen was closed they got us stocked with snacks and drinks. Bartender was great too and the non-alcoholic cocktail I had was incredible. The restaurant was beautiful and colourful and fun.

First and foremost: the food is delicious. But the whole experience comes together: kind service that takes time to explain dishes and recommended ways to eat component parts, fun kitschy decor that sparks conversation, and dishes that feel new and inventive and playful but not in ways that take away from taste. We loved the aubergine cassoulet, the ferments, and the seaweed dish - which was the perfect amount of food for us to feel full as two people. Probably the best food we've ever had - would recommend to anyone looking to try vegetables prepared in exciting ways.

From the outside, it looks like a sweet bar, but once you walk inside, you find a very cool Nørrebro restaurant. The restaurant itself is full of personality, and the staff was handpicked to match the vibe. The food was good as well, but there is some room for improvement since it’s on the more expensive side.

This a gem of a vegetarian restaurant! The food is creative, vibrant and flavorful, and the staff are some warm, welcoming and dare I say even: entertaining. It is evident that they just treasure *good food* there and are so imaginative with what they creative. We always enjoy our meals!
