The 23 Essential Vietnamese Restaurants in Little Saigon, Orange County

"Bake and Che opened in Westminster in 2023. Facing Bolsa Avenue, the small storefront is located across the plaza from longtime neighborhood darling Thach Che Hien Khanh. But at Bake and Che, owner Co Huong brings a modern take to the classic Vietnamese dessert experience. The glass counter showcases each dessert: banh bo with palm sugar, banh khoai with cassava, and banh dau xanh with mung beans. Each dessert is displayed similarly to sweets in a candy store — boxes come preassembled with a house-selected assortment or ordered as individual items. The popular flan cheesecake combines a delicate flan with a fluffy cheesecake base (it often sells out). The soy milk pudding drink combines sweetened coconut with soy milk laden with custardy silky tofu." - Jenn Tanaka

Freshness you can taste and crave for. Never cheap out on their ingredients. I really love their pandan layer cake. Never too sweet or too chewy. To me, what makes a business great is consistently making the same product. This place delivers just that, never disappoints. Always on point.

Google
Ordered house special (c1), loved it and came back the next day for Thai (c2) which is also very delicious! There’s always a long line but it moves pretty quickly and it’s worth the wait . Taste super authentic in comparison to the che we had in Hanoi. Everyone behind the counter works super hard and is very friendly. Highly recommended

I’ve been coming here every now and then when I’m in the area. I usually visit when they send out a coupon or when I’m visiting Da Vien. Parking: The parking lot here is so frustrating bc it’s always busy. Finding a spot can be difficult. Careful while turning as there’s old pedestrians constantly walking without caution. Ambiance/Environment: This spot is always poppin! There’s a line out the door every time I visit. They have a medium indoor space with limited seating and a few outdoor seating. Service: The workers are nice, quick, and efficient. They speak English and Vietnamese. Desserts: I absolutely enjoy all their che. It’s so refreshing! I haven’t tried their bakery items yet. I recently tried their Thai Desserts, and I loooved it! It wasn’t too sweet. Perfect amount of milk and a generous amount of jellies & fruits. My only critique is the cleanliness of the packaging. Every time I received my order, the cup is always sticky. Pricing: It is pretty pricey, but definitely worth it every once in a while!

Google
I have to be honest I only had the Signature Flan Cheesecake but it was so delicious! It had a lot of sweet notes that I really liked! Lines were all the way outside but it went quick. Crowd was pretty and so were the staff who were equally friendly. Would recommend this place to my friends. 👍🏼

Google
My first time to order from Bake & Che. I tried their House Special (w/ no peanuts and less sweet) and Signature Flan. The house special is my favorite since I love durian so much and it's been a while that I haven't had one. Their durian flavor is close to the real fruit, didn't taste like cheap flavoring. The flan was good as well but I would definitely order the house special again. :)

I’ve driven past Bake & Che and it’s oftentimes crowded. I tried going once, but the parking lot was completely full so I turned around. I was finally able to go this time around. I skipped the line by ordering using their QR code. It was confusing because the numbers weren’t being called in order. It was very crowded and we ended up waiting a long time, only to realize that we missed our number and waited longer than we needed to, though there were 3 of us and none of us heard it being called out. We went somewhere else to eat because there was no seating. I shared a C1. House Special (Che Dac Biet) with my mom which made the price fair. Some of the items were packaged separately, which made the takeout easier. It was pretty good; I liked the variety and the hint of durian, although it was a little sweet. Might be a bit overhyped since you can find similar Vietnamese desserts elsewhere.

Google
I am extremely disappointed with this business. They offered a “buy one, get one” promotion and sent out codes to attract customers, but when I arrived, they claimed the item was “out of stock” and had a sign already printed and ready stating it was unavailable. This clearly shows they anticipated high demand and chose to print the “out of stock” notice in advance rather than make enough products to meet the demand. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic — luring customers with a special offer only to turn them away upon arrival. It’s a huge waste of time, gas, and trust. If you aren’t prepared to honor your own promotion, then don’t send out the codes in the first place. This is dishonest and shows a total lack of respect for customers. I will not be returning and will be warning others about this experience. A business that treats its customers this way doesn’t deserve their loyalty.

Google
- We ordered C1 House Special “che dac biet" and C4 Pandan Grass Jelly “suong sao banh lot”, both lacked sweetness and flavor, failing to meet expectations for traditional Vietnamese treats. - Customer service was notably unfriendly, with both the order taker and server showing little interest or courtesy during our visit. - Despite arriving at a supposedly busy time (7:30 PM on a Sunday), there was no line, which was surprising given the restaurant's popularity. - The overall experience did not match the hype surrounding Bake&Che in Bolsa, leaving much to be desired in terms of both food quality and service. - Improvement is needed in ensuring desserts are more flavorful and customer interactions are more welcoming and attentive. - Until these issues are addressed, it's difficult to recommend this place for those seeking an enjoyable Vietnamese dessert experience.

Yelp
Place gets really crowded! Multiple times I've been here, and there's always a line, well it just shows Bake and Che serves fresh and great baked goods and refreshing desserts! You must try and get everything! This is definitely a fave spot now especially cos it's right next to our go to Hair Salon! Recommend to get: House Special Dessert- Durian on the side! I don't have enough courage to eat durian yet. Glad I listened when the cashier said try it on the side first! All the baked goods- ahhh love the palm sugar and cassava the most! Flan cheesecake is a must- at around $6 it's so worth it!

Yelp
This dessert place is amazing! So refreshing and tasty. I recommend getting the Thai Dessert! They pack it with a mix of jello and fruit (and surprisingly they gave a lot of fruit). It wasn't overly sweet for me but you do have the option to choose less sweet, which I think is awesome. I've gotten the Pandan Grass Jelly before, which was also yummy but I prefer the variety given in the Thai Dessert one. My family is a big fan of the Avocado one as well, so if you like avocado in your dessert, would suggest to try! It does get very packed so you have to be patient with the service. I preferred ordering it online and then picking it up so you don't have to wait too long. Just double check your order before you leave since I've heard that sometimes people have experienced getting the wrong order before. Overall, great dessert place and excited to go back.

Yelp
Heard their cheesecake flan was good, so I came here after dinner because I have a major sweet tooth. I would come back for the cheesecake flan because I don't know where else I can get a fusion dessert like this. It is not too sweet and light at the same time. As for the other desserts, they are not bad, but they could be better. For the price point, it is great if you want to try a few. The bakes and jellies are like bite-sized snacks, and the che desserts are full size. Cheesecake flan 8/10 Durian pandan layers 7/10 Cassava bake 7/10 House special dessert 5/10 Pandan grass jelly dessert 7/10 Coffee coconut jelly 5/10 Longan jelly 5/10

Yelp
I visited for the first time per the recommendation of my hair girl (shout out to Sharon N in Fountain Valley!) for some che! I came around 1:15 Pm on Saturday, 6/29/2024 and boy was this place packed!! However, even though it was busy, I was in line and ordered within 10 minutes. It did take more waiting time to get my order though, but that's okay! I was out the door by 1:27 PM so not bad at all. 4 C1) DB (House Special) $7 each (price as of June 2024) - The store prided themselves on having fresh ingredients and this was the most fresh che I've ever had lol. - It was packed with various toppings and I enjoyed the textures and flavors; however if you are not a durian lover and they tell you there's durian, just be aware that the whole dessert tastes like durian. I was trying to get my bang for buck, so I figured it's okay, I want ALL the ingredients ... Nope, just get it without durian. Sadly, although I'm not a fan of durian, I still sorta enjoyed this dessert lol but the flavor was overpowering. I'd order this without next time lol. C2) T (Thai) $7 - My husband wanted this cus he's not a fan of the peanuts and durian and I'll admit I did enjoy this more. - This one was good, sweet, more refreshing. It had a more agreeable flavor (no durian at all lol) and tasted overall lighter. Less toppings but still a classic. I would order this again! 1 Palm Sugar cake (reg priced $1.75) - Free with Yelp Check-In! So good!! - Make sure you check in! I'm not the biggest fan of all Viet pastries but this was FIRE. It was just the right sweetness, the mochi/glutinous-y texture was soft and still warm. It was chewy, bouncy, yummy. Oh gosh, even though this was free, I wish I got me a whole box to try! Yummy. Customer service: The girl who rang us up was so nice and patient. She asked us if we wanted the ice on the side and made sure we knew that there were peanuts and durian in the house special. She also made the recommendation of the palm sugar cake to me since it was one of the more popular flavors. She was kind throughout the transaction even though her line was never ending. Kudos to her! Seating: Indoor and outdoor seating are available. I came at a prime time in the weekend so we had absolutely no luck finding seats lol. Parking: Issa nightmare lol. Fortunately, my husband drove and dropped me off so I could line up. He had to go to the next lot for a spot. So many cars in and out... Anxious drivers beware lol. Overall, a great experience. Next time I'm back in the area, I'd be willing to come back and order!

Yelp
My parents got the House Special Che, and they really enjoyed it. We had just finished our dinner, so they wanted some che for dessert. There was a lot of people inside and it was around 8pm.

Yelp
Yum. Quality ingredients and the line moves really fast. Super busy and packed parking lot, took a bit to find a spot. House special has durian!
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Came here at the recommendation of my Vietnamese friend and it was super great. There is always a line out the door + very popular, but the line moves very fast. I got a combination box, to sample all of the flavors. If you don't like strong durian taste, I would suggest against getting the pandan / durian jelly dessert. However, I enjoy it and it was delicious. My personal favorite is the Palm Sugar desserts, and I'd recommend ordering one of those for sure. As a note, don't put the desserts into the fridge, they will get very dry and the texture will be strange. Eat them right when you get them! I've tried both the House Special and Coconut Che, and both were delicious! Looks like you can't go wrong. Make sure to use the Yelp Check in for a free pastry! Super yummy.

Yelp
Finally got to try this Vietnamese sweets place. It is located inside a plaza so there's plenty of parking except when it is meal times, then parking is hard to find. It is located facing the streets so you can't miss the store and line that's always there. The store is a casual place to quickly pick up and go since there is not much space to sit inside. They offer a good selection of Vietnamese cakes that have palm sugar, taro, mung bean, or coconut. Also che drink options. I recommend if you haven't tried the cakes before to get the box sample, but my favorite is the palm sugar one, especially when it is freshly made. Price is a little pricey but if you like these types of sweets it is still in reasonable range. For me, I think it's slightly overhyped because I like the che in another store that's within the same plaza. Overall, very chic Vietnamese desserts place to give a try.

Ilene T.

Yelp
Love coming here, the line is always long but the workers make sure that you get your items fast! I always get the House Special, Three Layers, or Pandan Jelly. They also serve small desserts as well & smoothies but I typically stick to the 3 I mentioned. There is seating available inside and outside which is really nice!

Yelp
My second time trying this place and it tasted as good as the first time I've been here. This place is always very busy and the wait time is around 10 minutes. We got lucky the first time and there was no line but then we got back in line to order more and it was pretty long haha, but it was worth the wait! The place is very lively inside due to a lot of people being there. The interior is simple and cute. We got the house special and it was so yummy, If I were to order this again I would get it without the nuts since I'm not a fan of nuts. We also tried the soy pudding, and it was so so delicious. The pudding was so soft and would melt into your mouth each bite. It's a very simple che and only has one topping which I liked. Also tried a few of their baked goods and they were very sweet and tasty too.

Yelp
When you go to OC, Vietnamese desserts are the must try. This super busy little cornered shop located right in the busy mall. The line was so long since it is new. Of course it was super loud, from the patrons, from the cars on the street, and from the background music. It was so loud that we had to order in a louder voice so the staff can hear us. We ordered several types of Che and few bakery goods. Most the ones we would like was all sold out. Such bummer. We just immediately devoured the Che and forgot to take photos the avocado mashed durian I think was delicious, only if you like durian. Love the velvety texture of mashed avocado and delightful chunks of durian. Che ba mau was delicious and not overly sweet. Ambiance: 1 Service: 3 Food: 4

Yelp
We had a great visit to Bake & Che in Westminster, California and enjoyed the flan cheesecake, Che Ba Mau, and pandan jelly. Service was quick and efficient despite the line. The store was clean with seating inside and outside the store. Parking is available throughout the surrounding shopping center. The highlight of our visit was hands down the flan cheesecake. Such a great combination of desserts! It's definitely a dessert for those with sweet tooth who'd enjoy a rich caramel flavor. The che Ba Mau is a traditional Vietnamese dessert with layers of beans, jellies, and coconut. I prefer other options in the area. The pandan jelly was a great flavor, but too subtle for us after trying the flan cheesecake. I recommend this dessert for those who want a lighter and less sweet dessert than the flan cheesecake!
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
SOOOO GOOD!!!! Super refreshing on a hot day in OC. I got the che thai, which was delicious! The line was a bit long at night, but we were able to find parking easily which I was happy about. Some seating inside and outside, but outside tables were very wobbly. If I stop in OC and want something refreshing but light tasting, I will come to bake & che for some good viet dessert.
google avatar

Magda N.

Yelp
They have solid products. No wonder the line is always crazy long and they're growing to have more locations fairly quickly. We like to get a box mix n match flavors. The honeycomb is their most popular flavor and also my favorite. The husband likes mungbean or taro flavors. The cassava is more like chewy texture, not so much flavor. Coffee jelly is firm and not too sweet. Good option for kids. Soy pudding is very legit. Creamy and perfectly sweet. The coconut jelly adds extra texture and makes.
google avatar

Katie V.

Yelp
It's amazing to see how far this place has come! Service is always fast- I tried both locations, the one on Bolsa and the one in Garden Grove last night. The che thai is really good, they added a lot of the red watercrest which im a big fan of- I'm just not sure if its worth $7 (more than a boba drink nowadays). The jellies one the other hand are super yummy- good soft jello-like texture for the longan jelly and i like the chewiness of the green jelly cake. Overall i would come back here again if I dont feel like making che at home
google avatar

Tai T.

Yelp
While the flavors of the Bake & Che house special were delightful, I was disappointed by the portion size when I ordered it to go. For the price, I expected more than just half a cup of food. The taste was good, but if you're ordering to satisfy a hearty appetite, you might want to consider ordering an extra portion or another dish to supplement it.
google avatar

Vivian T.

Yelp
This is the spot to go to for your Vietnamese desserts! I always stop by for a box of their baked desserts and jellies for my family when I am in Westminster. Their che comes in so many flavors and is a great dessert for warmer days. They incorporate Vietnamese flavors like pandan, durian, coconut, and cassava which are all mainly used in Vietnamese desserts. My favorites are the Palm Sugar cakes and che ba mau (3 color dessert). Most of the baked items are not too sweet. The sweetest ones I tried would be their taro and mung bean one. My box of goodies are all eaten up so I definitely have to restock again the next time I'm in the area! Their packaging is neat and I definitely want to try different things the next time! They do get busy at certain times but it's never a long wait.
google avatar

Jacinda X.

Yelp
Delicious and fun Che drinks! We enjoyed the baked goods (tip: check in on Yelp to get a complimentary one) and came in at 7pm on a Monday night. It was busy and getting through the line took about 10min. We got the Che Dac Biet and it had all the goodness, even DURIAN, if that's your thing.
google avatar

Toshi I.

Yelp
The last time we attempted to try Bake & Che, the line was out the door and we had a time constraint. This time, we were able to get in right away and since I was full from lunch, I only wanted to try a little of my friend's Flan Cheesecake. This is truly fantastic. A true hybrid of both desserts and just sweet enough.. bordering sweet. There is not a long list of desserts and there are some drinks but the quality and presentation is top-notch. For sure, I'll be back. Large parking area but can get crowded due to popularity of Bake Che.
google avatar

Lilee N.

Yelp
Be careful! Once you taste a Che and/or a baked good, you'll be addicted. When I fly into town, it's where I go first! The tofu pudding is sublime. Even if you dislike the traditional Asian tofu pudding with the ginger syrup, give this one a chance. It's flavorful, coconutty and refreshing. Tried other ches but this is where the money is at! Baked goods. The taro is by far the best in flavor. The cassava has the great chewy texture and has good flavor as well but that taro... mmmm. The palm sugar takes like an oatmeal cookie but springy and honeycomb like a banh Bo should be. The coffee and coconut jellies are also delicious but a little pricey. Totally worth it though! Parking is difficult to find so bring a buddy to be your driver to drop off and pick up. They do have seating inside but nothing fancy and is not a sit down order type establishment. Cards and contactless pay are accepted as is the good old American cash.
google avatar

Janette N.

Yelp
Bake & Che is a new addition to the dessert scene in Garden Grove. This place gives a modern twist to Vietnamese classics! I've tried the che thai and che dac biet and personally prefer the che dac biet. If you're indecisive between the two like I was, here are a few things to note before making your decision. The Che Dac Biet comes with three types of beans, durian, and taro. However you can opt out of the durian or ask for it on the side. The Che Thai is a bit sweeter/more fruity as there's a combination of canned fruits like jack fruit. What I like about this place is that you can adjust sweetness! Definitely wouldn't be my go to viet dessert place as the prices are too steep, $8 for a che, but it's a good place to start with if you want to introduce your non viet friends to some viet desserts.
google avatar

Carmen L.

Yelp
Cute little viet dessert place next to OC and Lou; perfect way to end our evening. It reminded me of bamboos when they were around. Got their signature drink and some pandan coconut jelly and they tasted so good and not overly sweet.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
It's been a while since I voluntarily went out on my own to get Vietnamese dessert but I knew I had to come try this place after seeing a new place in GG open up. I got the C4 Suong Sao Banh Lot. I came in during the evening and most of the pastries were already sold out sadly. Definitely one of the bigger reasons why I wanted to try out this place, but I definitely have to catch them earlier! As for the che, it was super refreshing and not too sweet. It had enough of everything, but I wish I had less ice and more of the dessert. Need to swing by this place again to update my review for the pastries! Use the Yelp Check-In for a free one too ;)
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Che is a popular Vietnamese dessert that comes in various forms, typically consisting of sweetened beans, jellies, fruit, and other ingredients served in a syrup or coconut milk. It's a versatile dish that can be enjoyed hot or cold and is known for its refreshing and diverse textures and flavors. I got the Che Dac Biet that comes with Durian. It was delicious and refreshing! The shop can get busy, but the line passes by fairly quick. They also offer other Vietnamese desserts, definitely coming back to try the Flan Cheesecake!
google avatar

Roy C.

Yelp
Beautiful place first saw it on IG. My rating is that the flavor profile was not aligned with our palette. We got the pandan coconut jelly and the 5 box taster. Of the 5 items in the box, four of them were ok, not flavorful enough. You should try it for yourself it may work for you.
google avatar

Kris H.

Yelp
Whenever I visit the OC, this is a spot I have to stop at! Their chè is to die for. I love their avocado chè. It's deliciously sweet and creamy. I don't have a crazy sweet tooth but the sweetness in this dessert is perfect (you could also change the sweetness level if you'd like!) Their durian pandan layers is also one of my favorite "baked" goods to get. It's so simple yet so yummy! I usually get it to go-- you can also ask for ice on the side and add it in when you do eat it. Each time I've gone, they always had a line out the door, whether it be during the day or at night. I'd say that it's such a perfect dessert to go for after having dinner. Although the line is long, it goes by super quick! There are a couple tables around the shop, but they are usually occupied by large parties. There are tables outside of the shop as well but it seems like it's shared with a coffee shop next door.
google avatar

Darian G.

Yelp
Reminds me of home. Literally. Not Vietnam but Indonesia :) The C4 literally reminds me of this pandan jelly dessert we have at home Its not too sweet either, such a heart warming drink even tho its iced if you know what i mean :p hahaha Gotta try it out
google avatar

Lila P.

Yelp
Got the coconut pandan jelly and house special. Its your typical che place in a cute modern setting.
google avatar

Virna D.

Yelp
This place is soo GOOD! Different flavors in CheCakes are fresh. The line gets long but service is fast.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Let's face it. There are a lot of Che places in this area of town. So what makes Bake and Che so unique? Through my experience I only tried the recommended house Che and let me tell you. That's all the difference they need. Without even trying anything else I was hooked on their house drink. The price was so affordable too. This comfy little dessert shop brings the mood to life with its powerful tasting menu. You can tell by how busy it is that this place is popping. When she asked me if I was ok with it having durian in it, I smiled from ear to ear. She said the magic word. Despite the wait time and the seating availability I recommend you give it a try. I'm team Vietnam all the way so if you have time, grab a chair and feel free to explore this bright dessert shop and chill out with some quality Che!

Yelp
Stopped by here the other night with a few of my friends, one of them suggested coming here for dessert after dinner. We got there at such a good time bc they were swarmed with customers after we ordered. It's quite a small shop but they do have a few seating areas inside and outside. I got the pandan jello( a bunch of those), the pandan and durian layered cake/jelly thing, and the pandan drink. I was so stuffed from our dinner I couldn't finish my drink but it was delicious and tasted super fresh! The pandan and durian layered cake thing was pretty good. The durian isn't overwhelming so don't be afraid to try!! The pandan jello was so good and had a bunch of coconut pieces solidified within the jelly I think this was one of my faves. They need to make it in a super size jar lol All in all, I think it's a fantastic dessert shop to satisfy that sugar tooth! PS. They are opening a shop in 626 so, SGV people we don't got to drive too far anymore! (No offense OC) xP
google avatar

Helen Z.

Yelp
I love Che and was super excited to try this place! I got the house Che and thought that it tasted really good, the ingredients were ample and the texture of the jellies and the beans were great. I do wish it had more of a milk forward taste, I think they add a bit too much ice in it so it tastes a bit watered down instead of milky. Overall, super refreshing dessert. I also tried their Longan one and it was pretty good too
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
This review is for the CHE (Vietnamese dessert) I've drove by this place and it always looked crowded. Decided to try it on a Friday night after dinner. The line wasn't bad but after we ordered, the line got really long behind us. My husband got the house special and I got the pandan jelly. The house special definitely had a lot of toppings in it. You can taste the durian flavor which I loved. I didn't think the peanuts belonged with the combo but that's just my opinion. The Pandan jelly was okay. Overall (for the Che), this place was okay. I personally prefer Bambu because the ice is different there. But if you like to chew ice, you would like this style. There are some tables and chairs inside to sit and hangout and in front of their shop.
google avatar

Candice N.

Yelp
Been here a few times now after having it bookmarked a few times and I will say it's pretty good! It doesn't taste as traditional as other Che places though but it's a good alternative because they also take card haha I normally get the Che Thai which is super refreshing! I've also gotten the pandan and grass jelly but added the other jellies in it. The line is long sometimes but it moves pretty fast. I'll definitely come back to get my che fix :)
google avatar

Pamela J.

Yelp
This dessert shop is popular! There's always a line out the door here but the cashier was quick. I waited about 20 minutes to get my order. I got the house special che and the flan cheesecake. The house special che was absolutely phenomenal. There were so many toppings and every bit and sip was a dream come true. They had a thick, generous layer of fresh durian at the bottom. So good! The flan cheesecake was sweet and decadent. There was small layer of cake at the bottom with the flan on top. There were a couple tables on the side.
google avatar

Renee L.

Yelp
ORDERED: - C1) House Special che dac biet: we asked for the House Special without durian and peanuts. Fortunately, we have no allergies to peanuts and it was a preference, but there were peanuts! Other than that, it was good! - flan cheesecake: this was good but a bit sweet for me. SERVICE: Service was good, just not sure what happened with the peanuts... AMBIANCE: a few tables if you want to dine in PARKING: Located in a shopping center, plenty of parking spaces.
google avatar

Dean Y.

Yelp
The cashier made fun of another customer. Very unprofessional. I think the he also did not offer utensils as he did with other customers.
google avatar

Isabel T.

Yelp
Didnt know this was right next to da vien lol so we stopped by when we were waiting for the da vien drinks. They have a bunch of diff stuff, tbh idk what they were LOL so we jus ordered some to try. We got the taro cassava and mung bean baked cake thingys? 1.50 each. They were pretty good. I liked the texture, like mochi ish but like cakey too bc of the "filling". We also got a pandan coconut jelly, also 1.50. It was interesting, didnt expect it to be like agar agar texture but it was still decent.
google avatar

Danica V.

Yelp
Finally tried this cute dessert shop. Awesome location. Central to a lot of good eats. Known for various viet desserts. Got to try their Che house special. Had everything in there. Good flavor. But I think I prefer the avocado Che. So yumm. These deserts are relatively $7-$8. Fair price point As far as baked goods. Tried their palm sugar, taro and cassava cakes. Has a weird and dense mochi texture to it. Not much flavor Not the biggest fan
google avatar

Kathy V.

Yelp
I didn't personally try the two che, but my cousin enjoyed the House special more than the Coconut Smash. The Cheesecake Flan THOUGH!!! 10/10 the best thing I've ever had. The service was probably okay. My family did not complained when they ordered togo. The place is pretty chill. I saw people hanging inside and outside when I was walking back to our car.
google avatar

Mandy F.

Yelp
I love Vietnamese dessert and I was getting coffee next door and decided to give this spot a try. The pandan layer has a hint of durian in it and I wish I read the reviews before I got it. It's just not my cup of tea, I like the texture but I am not a fan of durian. Palm sugar pastry, really good not too sweet and has a nice chew to it. Really enjoyed it. We did get flan but I wasn't able to take a picture of it but it's really good and has a tiny hint of coffee which made it better! Staff was really helpful and nice. I will be coming back for more goodies when I am in the area!

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday night at around 9pm. It was still insanely busy! Still in line for about 20 minutes before we were able to place an order. Their tart pastries were sold out, but luckily they still had some other options I was dying for. Ended up ordering: the signature, flan, cheesecake, durian pandas layer, soy pudding, coconut pandan, coffee pandan, and longan pandan. Main reason I went there was for the signature flan cheesecake and it did not disappoint at all! I can't describe how happy it made me lol. Going to have to go back so I can try out their tarts!

Yelp
This is the cutest place to get your fix on some viet desserts. I stopped by around 2pm and there was a small line, but not to fret because the line goes quickly. The place is on the smaller end, but it's decorated nicely and it's very cute and great to catch up with family and friends. The cashier was so kind, come to find out she's the owner! She's here everyday working at her business, and it's nice to see someone so kind and hard working overseeing their business. Just for that alone, I reccomend anyone to stop by. I got the palm sugar bread which was DELICIOUS! It's not overly sweet and I love the texture of it as it's not cakes but chewy and spongy (it's hard to describe but for sure get it). My dad got the house special che and it's his go to as you can adjust the sugar level on these chè's. If you're ever in the area and want great viet desserts, this is the place to go!

Yelp
Nice place for desserts/che. Their che reminds me of BAMBU's. We got the C1) DB (House Special) and the C4) SSBL (Pandan Grass Jelly). Both were good, but the C1 advertised durian and I barely tasted any durian. I also tried the Flan CheeseCake, which was good but contained more flan than cheesecake. Check in on Yelp for a free pastry.

Yelp
I'm not sure if I understand the hype for this place. My friends and I were craving for Che so we decided to stop by after dinner around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Majority of the baked goods were sold out so we just got Che. The consistency of the coconut cream was a bit too diluted for us and didn't seem to have enough creaminess to it. I'm thinking maybe there were closed in the next 1.5 hours and was running out of ingredients that they were trying to stretch out the liquids.

Yelp
Bake & Che is apparently the new place that took over the former churro shop in the T&K supermarket plaza. I have heard lots of good reviews about this establishment all the way from Camarillo so I decided to pay a delectable visit. This place closes pretty late so I was glad that it was still open when I traverse the parking lot on a cold winter night in December. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance which was very jovial, keeping with the Christmas Spirit. The Christmas Tree in the shop was a sight to behold. Most establishments will not go to the extra effort to decorate a full Christmas tree in their stores (usually you see those in churches and such). It does add a sort of pizazz that other stores lack. Anyways, it was a beautiful Christmas tree. The store itself is small but the ceiling has the costco warehouse look. Very cool design. I ordered the Che Thai which came out to be about 7-8 dollars. I asked for no ice but to my surprise, they separated the ice in a separate bag. I was very impressed by the packaging the most. I also redeemed my check-in bakery item, the one with the pandan jelly bread. Anyways the Che Thai was delectable and satisfying. The packaging was very intriguing but also impressive. However, the reason I detract one star is the price for this che. It is good but not anything that warrants me going back when I can walk over to the Che Hien Khanh establishment for a large Che Thai for $5. Even then, that is pushing it. I know they use premium ingredients as I read from the owner's response in some of the reviews below but for $7-8 dollars, I expected a symphony of exciting and decadent flavors in my mouth.

Yelp
Great Viet dessert place. Good visual menu, Tried their taro cake very nice not too sweet and good texture and taro amount and flavor. Pandan durian was great marriage of ingredients/ flavor and texture. Coconut pandan was nice cold and refreshing. Palm sugar cake was very good too. All items were very satisfying. And all very affordable but quality is still there. Not overly sweet so perfect for an after meal dessert or anytime snack. I must commend them on providing a good product with a good price considering todays high inflation

Yelp
The perfect place for a post meal treat!!!!! Gosh this place really hit the spot for me. I was a bit apprehensive it was overly hyped but everything was sooooooooooo good!! Cheesecake flan will definitely shoot up your sugar levels but you must save room for it. I think it's best for sharing or it can be toooo sweet. My favorite was the Che Bo (Avocado), it was so nice and creamy! We also had the Che Ba Mau & Che banh lot/suong sao. All of the Che was not too sweet which I loved! You can also modify the sweetness level if you wanted too. When you order Togo, they pack the ice separate so your drinks don't get all watery! Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Located in a busy plaza so parking might be a struggle on depending on the time of day. When I got to the store it was very busy and a bit chaotic because I didn't know where to line up. When you open the door to the right of the register is the pick up area which can be packed and to the right of the pick up area is 1 cashier taking orders. You place your order then you wait for pick up and there's a few tables for sitting and eating. I ordered a banh da lon (pandan layer cake), Che dac biet (house special dessert), and che ba mau (three color dessert) all with ice on the side. I liked that they asked if you wanted ice in the dessert or on the side. I get ice on the side so I can control the ice levels and also it's winter I can only handle so much ice/cold beverages/ desserts. The banh da lon was really good it had a hint of durian I just wished it was bigger. The che dac biet was my favorite! It has so many ingredients in it: red bean, white bean, mung bean, pandan jelly, taro, tapioca, palm seed, jackfruit, durian, and toasted peanuts. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and the textures and sweetness of this dessert was delicious! The peanuts added a nice crunch, the beans were soft cooked well, and the jelly and palm seed added a nice chew. The durian was subtle and not over powering but it was hard to find any jackfruit in the dessert. I will definitely come back I want to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
Such an amazing dessert/snack place! I ordered a sampler box, 2 of each jelly, che thai, house special, and the 3 color desserts as well. The che thai took me back to the pho spot I went as a kid. It was my favorite dessert there and I haven't had it in over 10 years. I love that you can order the drinks to go with ice on the side and adjust the sweetness level. The 100% sweet was a bit too sweet but I just dumped it into a bigger cup and added extra ice. After the ice melted a little bit, it was perfect. I definitely regret not getting a second Che thai. The line may look long but it moves fairly quickly. They also have online ordering available. It is located in a plaza with a lot of other shops so the parking is definitely a little difficult. There are a few tables inside to sit and eat your desserts but honestly, it was so cramped I just wanted to get out ASAP.
