Baked Lab (by appt only)

We used the Baked Lab for our wedding cake and could not have had a better experience. When we tried their samples, we knew they were the one to go with. Their cake was absolutely delicious and we had many compliments from guests as well. We have our top tier saved for our anniversary and I am counting down the days until we can eat it. Not only did it taste good, but it also looked great! Very well done and exactly what we asked for. Lastly, Shawn and his team were very easy to work with. They're opening a store front soon and we can't wait to visit!

I wish I had a better picture to show our cake, but a photo couldn't have done this justice. We worked with The Baked Lab for our wedding and we could not recommend them enough. My husband isn't the biggest fan of cake and when I tell you he is OBSESSED, that would be an understatement. We are from out of state, and they worked with us to be able to pick up our sample box around our schedule, which we are forever grateful for. They also were incredibly seamless with the entire process, from the initial consult to dropping off our cake. If you like your taste buds, you'll hire these guys!

This review is long long overdue. The Baked Lab is by far the best bakery that we have ever been to. We initially discovered The Baked Lab when researching bakeries for our wedding cake and desserts. When we tried their wedding cake tasting box we immediately knew that this was the place. After that we were hooked. Nearly every pop-up that Shawn had we couldn't resist getting some sweet treats on Saturday mornings and everything was so unique, delicious, and well made. Fast forward to our wedding and we got so many compliments on Shawn's baked goods. People couldn't help themselves from trying to snatch them up before we cut our cake haha. If you haven't gotten the picture yet, you will not be disappointed if you give The Baked Lab a try. Shawn is a talented and kind baker who truly cares about his craft. Every single thing he has created that we've tried has been amazing and as long as we are in the Madison area we will continue to try more. Thank you, Shawn, for making our wedding day even more special!

I would recommend The Baked Lab to everyone. Our desserts were not only amazing on our wedding day but even better the day after. Shawn worked with us and we even had cinnamon rolls on our wedding day. Our cake fit our vision perfectly. Please see the photos below of him and his teams excellent work. I wanted a dessert buffet for my Husband's surprise 50th birthday party. I read other reviews and decided to give The Baked Lab a try. They were amazing start to finish. It was so easy to order and pick what I wanted. So many choices lets you have a great variety of items. Everything was delicious and beautiful to look at. I would highly recommend The Baked Lab for any of your party dessert needs.

We hired The Baked Lab to make desserts for our wedding and we are so happy we did! They made tiramisu shooters and gluten free espresso bourbon cupcakes and both were so delicious, our guests loved them! They were incredibly easy to work with and so conveniently located near our venue (The Tinsmith). The also have such a great selection of gluten free options. We would absolute recommend working with The Baked Lab for your wedding desserts!

We worked with Baked Lab for our New Year's Eve wedding and there aren't enough good things we can say about the cake or the service. It was not only the best wedding cake we've ever had, but the best cake we have ever tasted period. We lost track of the number of guests who said, "this is the best cake I've ever had--WHERE IS IT FROM!?!?" It was from Baked Lab and I promise, it will be the best cake you've ever had. Also, it was like a work of art. Stunningly beautiful and almost too pretty to eat...almost. :)

We decided on baked lab for our wedding desserts.We chose multiple different shooters, so people had different options at our wedding, and we got so many compliments on everything.Everything was delicious and CUTEE. their online ordering was very easy and they were responsive via email fast. we also really enjoyed that they had a wedding sampler box to try each of their flavors before putting in our order. highly recommend them.

This is a small cake shop. There is no store front. One needs to order in advance. And instruction to enter the building will be emailed. I went for a Banana Hazelnut Crunch which was just $25 for a 4" cake. Cake was skinny but tall. It looked beautiful. As far as the cake is concerned, it is more of a banana bread than a cake. Cream was not super rich either. But it wall all decorated nicely. And for the price it was great.
