Bakehouse 46

Great cupcakes and some other treats. We have ordered large cupcake orders from them in the past and they are all excellent. The service is fast and friendly and the one time our large order was wrong, they remade everything very quickly. The bakery itself is sort of boring inside but very roomy and they move people fast. They do sandwiches and cookies and other stuff which are good but it's their cupcakes that are great. Overall they are a nice bakery and most importantly have good hours and don't require a ridiculous amount of time or hassle to order a customer order ahead of time. Recommended.

This is a cute bakery to hang out and get work done. It’s a cute aesthetic with the wall of windows and wonderful music choice. The displays are eye capturing and I’m sure the desserts are amazing (I didn’t order one.) I ordered a hot chocolate with caramel syrup with supposedly 2% milk. It tasted like water and whipped cream & I didn’t taste the caramel syrup. Not sure if it’s the lady who made it or the company’s recipe but I wouldn’t recommend. Not even sure if kids will like it. I did ask if I could get a different drink, clearly I didn’t like it, and because I took two sips they denied me for another drink unless I paid for it, wasted $5. The bagel breakfast sandwich with a plain bagel, ham, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the sandwich.

Amazing quiet place to work. Very low key but quality coffee and food. Highly recommend

First time there because I’ve heard good things but unfortunately it left a lot to be desired once I placed a pick up order. I didn’t like the aesthetic as it felt very cold and dark upon walking in. The young girl working (seemed as though she was in training) was friendly, sweet and helpful and she was a highlight. My order wasn’t quite ready upon arrival, but they were packaging it up and it was very quick. The sandwich was still warm so when I got in the car, I opened it up and it didn’t smell right. My guess is because they put cold spinach on a warm turkey and cheddar sandwich if I had known that, I never would have ordered it that way. But the sandwich itself had a really weird and bad aftertaste and it’s something like with the oven because I could taste that in the sandwich. I took three bites and I got rid of it and it sucks because I paid eight dollars for it. The cupcake I’m sure will be delicious but overall I’m not impressed and I will not be back.

I love this place not only for a casual stop in for coffee or dessert but now also for parties. I ordered two large dessert trays and 4 and a half dozen donuts for my baby shower. I bagged each donut and put a BH46 sticker on them and they went perfectly with my other party favors. The desserts looked great on two tiered trays. Everything was ready at the scheduled pickup time and it all tasted great, especially the desserts! I will definitely order from here again for another party in the future!

We were looking for a bakery to cater for our wedding. We were in contact with the manager Sam, and set up an tasting appointment. When we arrived a week later, they had no record that the appointment was scheduled and she wasn’t there. I had email receipts, and the workers were speechless. I was very upset because we drove almost an hour for the appointment. However - I understand msitakes happen. Sherly (the lead) was amazing and did a quick impromptu tasting for us. The cupcakes were amazing so we decided to just go through with it even with what happened. Sherly said Sam would reach out to us to answer all our questions. Almost a week goes by and I haven’t received an email from her. I reached out to her regarding booking them. Each email I sent was not responded to for days. I was being very patient and understanding because I get it’s busy season. It’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t not heard back from the manager. I have sent two follow up emails. I could call but I feel like I have already been to flexible and understanding. With the communication issues, I’m nervous to continue booking with them. I was so excited because of how amazing the cupcakes were. This would have been a $500-$600 sale, and I feel like their should have more urgency to process our order. And now I’m stressing to find another bakery after the process of booking with this bakery took over a month (we haven’t even paid a deposit or signed contract yet). Our tasting was 4 weeks ago….. This added so much added stress and disappointment to my wedding planning process. Be cautious when booking catering orders with this bakery.

They changed the menu prices and items. My partner and I went today and one bagel sandwich cost what both of ours together would be about a year ago. The sandwiches weren't even warm. Also, we paid for an egg on one but didn't even get that. I'm severely lactose intolerant. I sacrificed. I suffered. 1/5 for everything across the board, including service (I am aware it says two, thought I'd give one for each member of staff who took our order today).

I recently visited Bakehouse 46 for the first time and was blown away by their delicious vegan cupcakes. The variety of flavors they offer is impressive, and each cupcake I tried was moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere of the bakery was cozy and inviting. I will definitely be returning to Bakehouse 46 for more sweet vegan treats in the future. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area!

Nice spacious place, wide variety of sweet things to enjoy, coffee is really good. The location has good amount of parking near by. I love the large windows surrounding the place, it really brings in a lot of light, and is very nice when the downtown lights are on during the holidays. Service is very friendly. I'm defiantly coming back again. One thing though , they only have paper cups.. next time I'm bringing a ceramic to go mug.

Service was slow, communication with the young woman at the counter was challenging and she never cracked a smile. The cupcake I bought is the worst I've ever had. Strawberry lemonade flavor, tastes like strawberry Nestle Quick. Ridiculously sweet. Could not eat more than one bite. Should not be allowed to be a bakery.

Stopped by to grab a coffee. I got a vanilla, caramel latte. I asked for it to be sweet but it definitely wasn't. I ended up tossing the whole thing but I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese and that was really good. It was toasted well & i was surprised that they put the cream cheese on it beforehand. I was also surprised to see that they had a lot of products from Blakes in there. I love Blakes. I'll keep that in mind next time I want cider and don't wanna drive to Armada. I would come back to try one of the sandwiches.

My husband's birthday was coming up and a friend recommended this place for their cupcakes. I placed an order two days ahead of time, so that I could pay ahead of time and they'd have what I wanted. I arrived a few minutes before the pick up time. The counter person seemed a bit frazzled or new maybe, they told me to have a seat and would get my order. A few minutes, they hand me a bag. I should have double checked before leaving, but I didn't. I get back to work and look inside the bag to see a regular cupcake instead of the jumbo that I had ordered/Paid for. I was a little frustrated and called the shop to see if they would remedy the situation. The person who answered was different from the counter person I had interacted with in person. They said come back and they'd give me the correct cupcake. It was a lot of extra time/walking for my original order. The plus side, my husband said the cupcake was delicious.

Highly recommend! Cute, modern cafe space with friendly staff. A lot of food & beverage options to choose from. Delicious cupcakes with a multitude of different flavors. I called ahead to place a cupcake order for a gender reveal, and they were able to accommodate our order within a 1-2 day notice.

Honestly loved I couldn't ask for anything more. Amazing coffee and unique bakery items which were to die for. Also, great bagel sandwiches! (which are honestly hard to find nowadays). The inside was so pretty I wish I took a picture. The guy who was working was super nice and quick and seemed to have good relationships with all the customers.

Yummy cupcakes and treats! Especially love that they have vegan cupcakes for my son who is allergic to dairy. And they taste great! Yummy coffee too! Very nice service too! Been here multiple times and never had a bad experience.

That's Coco who thinks she's is a lapdog. 60 lbs lap dog. loving on pup cupcakes. At Bakehouse 46, $3 a pop. She loved it. BH 46 is overrated in my opinion. Got $66 worth of stuff: all the mini cupcakes, the apple pie donut, cinnamon donut, fudge, two bags of 6 sugar cider donuts (going to two different places which I had to explain the guy as he questioned me about it which was weird) and two 1/2 gallon of Blakes cider. The mini cupcakes and specialty donuts was all too sweet. All the flavors. Didn't leave much of impression but one: Sugar bombs. Ick. Pass. Don't recall the tastes. But I can say hey tried it but it is a future pass. They do have Blakes cidar and sugar and plain Blake cidar donuts but if you heat them up in the microwave for 10 secs or less, just to warm them up (cos I perfer a warm cidar donunt) they become slightly doughy. Weird, as I have never experienced that buying direct from Blakes farm in Armada. Additionly and even more important for me as the over all experience from the moment you open the door sets the tone, the guy that waited on me on Thursday (Oct. 3rd) made me wait for 5 minutes even though there was no one in the place as I stopped in late morning (11:00 ish) and he was rude AF when he did finally engaged. Then when you check out they have the gull to give the tip option which I did a big fat 0. What am I tipping for?? For your rudeness, sarcasm, making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed? For making me wait while you finished whatever you were doing on your cellphone? BH 46 may sell Blake items but it is not Blake customer service standard that makes you feel happy and Fallish. Moving forward, this place has been filed under to be only visited if I am hard pressed for time for cidar and donuts and pup cupcake. I give it 0 stars for the customer service as it makes not want to ever visit BH 46 location unless hard pressed. 4 for Blakes availability when pressed for time. 2 for cupcakes, speciality donuts, fudge which are waaaaay overpriced. 5 for pup cupcake as Coco seemed to really enjoy it. Bottom line: 2.5 to 3 stars for me.

We went and got a mix of vegan and non vegan cupcakes! We loved them all! The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back again.

Tried several of your cupcakes and they were good but a bit pricey for what you get. It seems to be mostly icing and less cupcake. I received great customer service from a young lady named Lillianna . She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and what they contain, but it seems Some of the other staff are just standing around gossiping during business hours that did not seem very professional especially for what looked like managers. Could use a few more drink items maybe some coffees or lattes.

Overpriced chain - not worth the hype or price. Find a local bakery or make your own.

I like the space, it's really inviting inside. I had a bake house basic with an everything bagel, turkey, cheddar and the scallion cream cheese....It was underwhelming. I enjoyed my latte, and the cheesecake I got to go was ok. It was lemon flavored, and a bit over priced.

Such delicious cupcakes! I came here last minute in search of a birthday pastry and there were so many baked goods to choose from. The service was kind and the place was extremely clean.

the breakfast bagel sandwich was out of this world the cupcake i tried was tasty and the coffee was great wit a shout off expresó! i loved the layout of the bake house it was ao comfy and now i want to come back.

Ok so I know not everyone goes to a pastry shop just for the service, but when you have both DE-LI-CIOUS cookies and warm-fuzzy service, why even go anywhere else? The Peanut Butter Cookie was that perfect balance between chewy, crunchy, salty, and ever so slightly sweet. The Cookie Monster cookie, while it wasn't my thing, my husband clearly loved it because he gobbled it up before we even got home. In fact, we've only been driving for 4 minutes from there and it's gone-gone. And based on recommendations, we got the Ginger Snap cookie, Chocolate Chip cookie, and the Cinnamon Roll donut. Haven't tried those yet but they look amazing and I'm actually tempted to bulimic this PB Cookie just so I have enough room to try them. Anyway... But what will stay in my mind is the incredibly sweet girls at the counter. They were super engaging and patient and, I don't want to sound like THAT old lady (37yrs btw so feeling old but not old-old) but I really feel like customer service has been lacking. I'm not of the mindset that this new generation is lazy and entitled. Nor do I believe necessarily that it's "how they're raised" because, well, that would put it on me and my generation. I just think they've been through some really shitty things in the past few years, and putting all that responsibility on them is unfair. Clearly my ADHD has gotten me off topic BUT these really adorable girls took their jobs seriously and went well above and beyond. I would be proud to have them in my restaurant so I hope Bakehouse 46 shows their appreciation daily because other establishments are definitely going to try and poach them. Remember, YOU'RE lucky to have them.

It's on the corner of Main and Second street. I could have eaten a ice cream sandwich, but I wasn't hungry enough. I opted for a single mini chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was crispy, not bad. The caramel apple was good, had it cut up. A stick would have been easier to eat with. The plastic fork wasn't strong enough to fork up the pieces too well. Have to put some force into the fork to get a tine into the apple a bit. The caramel alone was yummy. Caramel is definitely my jam.

I decided to stop into Bakehouse after trying two of their cupcakes at another location. I happened to be in the area as we went out to eat somewhere for Mother's Day. My husband was excited to try a cupcake, and I wanted to try something different. I tried the drumstick cupcake because it sounded absolutely delicious. I would caution to carefully pull the cupcake out and not squeeze it due to excitement like I did! The cupcake was amazing and it tasted exactly like the drumstick icecream. The marshmallow buttercream was so smooth and the waffle cone and nuts added a nice crunch to compliment the cupcake. Even though I got a tiny bit messy, it was definitely worth it! I would get this cupcake again. My husband had the chocolate lovers, and decided to wait until we got home because he wanted to have it with milk. He absolutely loves dark chocolate. He said that the cupcake was rich, but well balanced. It was fluffy with a deep chocolate kick. It's funny because my husband typically hates sweets and he absolutely loved this cupcake. He said that he would definitely eat it again because it wasnt too sweet and it was perfect.

I love Bakehouse 46!! Cupcakes are to die for, donuts are heavenly, and their coffee is delicious!! Love the aesthetic and how kind all the staff members are! Also they have a great rewards program and if you go somewhat frequently (like myself) you end up getting really good discounts. Highly recommend!!

love this location! the decor and ambience is just amazing, it makes you want to sit there and enjoy your coffee! cupcakes are delicious and have cool flavors! staff is very friendly and give great suggestions

The newest, trendiest place to visit in downtown Rochester. Blake's and Cupcake Station teamed up and I'm glad they did! However, my biggest complaint is the staff, they lack customer service skills and multitasking. Service is slow and clunky. I'm hoping with time, this will improve. Another negative is the cupcake packaging, they smushed my mini cupcakes, when they put my pup cakes in the right container. That precious frosting ruined! Lots of sweet treats - donuts, ice cream, and cupcakes. There are some savory options like bagels. My go-to so far has been cupcakes. The flavor options are endless and the cupcakes deliver! Dare I use the word "moist" to describe them? Great portion of frosting to cake as well. It's a hearty cupcake! The mini cupcakes are also a nice bite. They also have pup cakes for your four-legged friend, which my girl ate up within seconds! The decor is super cute, modern, and welcoming. They have outdoor seating as well! Nice option to get some Blake's and not have to make the hike.

What a concept - a Blake Farms bakery, which now I've noticed has more than one location scattered throughout metro Detroit! I love not having to drive nearly an hour (nor having to deal with tons of people / long queues everywhere on the farms) to have access to Blake's products - specifically their CIDER! But in addition to the cider, I am so impressed with the few baked goods that I tried - they were all so moist & delicious! I'm a fan! Whenever I find myself in downtown Rochester (or downtown Birmingham), I definitely stop in to at least pick up a gallon of cider. This place is perfect to pick up a couple quick, small bites of baked goods if you're ever in a pinch! A round of applause for Bakehouse 46 & for Blake's! :)

Little disappointed. Used to come here for the gluten free cupcakes. They were only available on the weekends before and I came in today to see that they don't even serve them anymore even though they are still on the menu. Used to be a place that was inclusive. Now they aren't

Love this addition to Rochester!!! I've been searching for hot cocoa bombs and I was able to preorder them and pick them up the next day. They had tons of goodies, so I bought a few other things while there. It's clean and the staff is very nice! Look forward to getting our sweet fixes here!

Such a cute spot! It was a beautiful night and we wanted dessert so we stopped by for cupcakes! I like that they are open later, since it was a last minute decision before we headed home. The cupcakes were delicious and I like that they rotate flavors. The strawberry cheesecake bliss was our fav!

I stopped by at the downtown Rochester location. This location is one of the newer ones and located in a corner spot, right in downtown. The bakery itself is spacious, plenty of seating area. The cupcakes are displayed behind glass and there are other desserts to choose from (caramel apples, cookies, etc). They also have frozen cider, coffee and other beverages. I couldn't pick just two cupcakes... so I ordered an extra two to try! I got the Raspberry Chocolate, Vanilla Confetti, Strawberry Smoothie and Chocolate Samoa. Each one was bursting with flavor! The cupcake was soft, spongy and not dry at all. My favorite was the chocolate and raspberry (always been my favorite flavor combo in all sweets). Staff was friendly and helpful as well!

Bake house cupcakes are just OK! I've had much better cupcakes, that are more moist than bakehouse. Basically, I stop here when I have no other choice, and I desperately want something sweet. Today I got the lemon cupcake and a vanilla cupcake, it's best to let them sit room temperature for a few hours before eating.

Modern little bakery with the best treats. Employees were super helpful in deciding all the goodies to get. Can't wait to go back and try the coffee and sandwiches! I got several mini cupcakes and they did not last at my house long. Great flavor and fall apart fresh.

You think having the title "Bakehouse" in the name would mean it is...you know...a bakehouse. But alas, this 'bakehouse' serves repackaged generic goods that are definition mediocre. What an incredibly misleading disappointment. If you're looking for an actual bakehouse, go to Give Thanks right around the corner. They bake in-house, from fresh focaccia bread to lemon cream cheese danishes. They are everything this places pretends (and fails) to be.

Got a variety from this place. Best was the apple pie donut, then the cheesecake bar, then cherry chip donut, then the banana pudding. We also got the fruity pebble donut which was ok. I would not recommend the cupcakes at least the two we ordered were not worth the price paid, they looked good but were way too sweet, one was the chocolate lovers and the other was the strawberry cheesecake. The frosting taste identical to boxed frosting from the store. I still give 5 stars because everything else besides the cupcakes were amazing. The type of frosting used on the apple pie donut should be used on all the cupcakes, it was very good.

Wanted to like this place but it was just okay. It has a really nice comfortable interior seating area and outside patio. But they don't ask if you are eating there or you want it to go so they package it all up including a bag? It is more like a fast food establishment with all plastic and paper which I wasn't expecting. Ordered a cappuccino which was mediocre served in a paper cup. They did have a remarkable offering of different cupcake flavors with some interesting combinations. They also offered doughnuts, cookies, ice cream, bagel sandwiches etc. Definitely lots to choose from. We chose a carrot cupcake and a pistachio cupcake. I liked that they offered a choice of a mini or full size cupcake. The cupcakes were okay but the frosting lacked quality and were just too sweet. Pleasant atmosphere and good service at the counter.

Cute shop. We were craving caramel apples one night. The malls were definitely closed at the time, so it was nice to find that this shop had some. Cute atmosphere and good service.

If you want to find some amazing and tasty desserts, look no further! They have a variety of desserts which is likely to satisfy everyone. They carry cupcakes (in many flavors), cookies, donuts, ice cream, cheesecake slices & bars! And if you aren't in the mood for desserts they offer breakfast and lunch ! If you haven't checked out this place it's a must ! It's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! Who doesn't enjoy being in beautiful places. It was my first time in here and I can't wait to go back !!! The chocolate cheesecake cupcakes are god sent !!! Lol. They are soooooo good ! I also did try the gluten free cupcakes, a chocolate one and vanilla and I must say they were probably the best gluten free dessert I've ever tried and remind you I've tried a lot! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I WILL be going back !

Always a fan of their plain donuts (a bit small, but it's only $1.25). Honestly a great snack/dessert to get while walking around DT Rochester! This place does close by 9 PM, so definitely stop by beforehand! The interior is neat and spacious with comfortable sofas. My friend and I needed to stop by somewhere for a bathroom break (lmao) while walking around and we're glad Bakehouse was still opened. My friend got a cheesecake which she seemed to enjoy and I got my usual plain donut, lol.

Bakehouse 46 is a collab between Blake farms and Cupcake Station. It's a nice and cozy place with a cafe vibe. They've got a variety of cupcake flavors, cider mill donuts, breakfast bagels & more. I loved the carrot cupcake. It was amazing

I love cupcakes! Our visit this time was to pick up a Yelp perk and get some cupcakes for the kids too. The app for the perk was glitchy both times I visited, but the staff member at the counter the second time was able to find the info in the computer - yay!! We got a Summer Smoothie, a Bumpilicious, a Vanilla Latte and a Strawberry Sunshine (if I'm remembering all the fun names correctly). They were all yummy (although we couldn't talk each other into sharing much) and the frosting was our favorite!! I'm excited to go back and try one of those ginormous caramel apples! I'd love to enjoy it even when it isn't cider mill season. Glad Blake's is available all year.

So glad this place carries Blake's cider and donuts. Although the donuts were cold they were fresh! Staff is super friendly and nice. They misscounted my donuts and Gaby the manager offered me a free dozen for the inconvenience. Saw some of the sandwiches on plates for sit in guests and I can't wait to come try some myself. They also have a cute patio outside, in warmer weather this would be the perfect place for lunch!

The Google hours, your website and the posted hours for this business are incorrect. Your door says you are open until either 7 pm or 9 pm by the day. We arrived at 4:59 pm to buy four cupcakes and found the place locked closed. It was my husband's birthday and he really wanted a cupcake. We smiled, we waved. The person inside first pretended not to see us and then looked confused and ignored us. Please get your hours straight and hire people who will go the extra mile for your customers.

This place is so cute!! I've been here a few times with friends and the sweets are always SO GOOD! I got the chocolate Oreo covered cheesecake bar and it was AMAZING!! And only $5 too! I love coming here when I'm in the area :)

We are all human and mistakes happen, how you handle them makes all of the difference. Because of the way it was handled, I WILL BE BACK!! Today, service means everything!! Food is great also!

Ordered some from grubhub for delivery and it was delicious!! I am obsessed. We got the apple cider doughnut, frozen apple cider, & cheesecake. Everything was so delicious, only complaint I have is we ordered 2 cheesecakes and only 1 came but mistakes happen. I will be ordering from here again!

Clean, neat and delicious, friendly staff, helpful ordering! Ambience is cool. They have a great bakery selection to choose from, I picked the house special Bagwell, I left the ingredient to her, and I wasnt disappointed! Nice local business needs to be supported by locals, seems it is.

Good variety of cupcakes, I like the fact that they have most flavors in mini as well as regular. Good service. I did find the frosting a tad too sweet tho (chocolate), might suggest another flavor frosting.

READ WITH CAUTION as I nearly had a heart attack. It's $20 for a dozen of donuts. Then they asked for a tip for putting them into a bag. Seriously⁉

I was really annoyed and upset when I got home with my online order. I placed (2)half dozen orders, because they were gifts. When I got home I was given a dozen in one container! If I wanted them to be packaged together I would've ordered a dozen! The whole point of (2) half dozen was so they would be separated. Now I don't know how I'm going to gift them. And on top of that, I was made to tip them for my order!
