I was lucky that the queue was not long, we were served within 5 -10 minutes. Ordered 2x sourdough egg tart, tiramisu danish, apple pie, double chocolate cookie and Large Latte. And even bought their Tote Bag 🤣 (HKD28) The sourdough egg tart is really nice, I can imagine it would be even better if we ate it immediately (we ate it few hours later as just had lunch). Tiramisu cookie is does not fit into my liking but both apple pie and double chocolate cookie is nice if you prefer the soft version. Would be going back to get sourdough egg tart and try other flavours! The service staff were polite and fast. I was served by a guy with glasses (Manager 1 on receipt, forgot to get his name 😩), super patient, full of energy, and was able to make recommendations. Thumbs up for his service!

Bakehouse in Causeway Bay’s sourdough egg tarts are a standout! The crust is wonderfully flaky and buttery, with a unique tang from the sourdough that adds a twist to the classic egg tart. The filling is rich, smooth, and not overly sweet, balancing perfectly with the tangy crust. It’s a must-try for anyone looking to experience a fresh take on a traditional Hong Kong favorite. Definitely worth the visit if you’re a fan of innovative pastries!

Literally everything sold at this bakery is incredible but the one item you must not miss is the sourdough egg tart. Just do yourselves a favor and get the egg tart even if something else catches your eye. It's literally life changing. You will never look at egg tarts the same way again. These tarts have set a new bar in the world of egg tarts. Try it. You won't regret it.

I went here for the hype around their sourdough egg tarts, and honestly, they did not disappoint. I mean, I lined up like it was a Black Friday sale just to get my hands on a dozen of those bad boys. When I finally got my tarts, I was hit with this flaky, golden crust that was like a warm hug. The filling? Creamy and just the right amount of sweet. It felt like a party in my mouth, and I was the VIP guest. Totally worth the wait! Now, let’s talk about the ham and cheese croissant. I thought it would be a vibe, but honestly? It was kinda mid. Like, it didn’t really hit the spot for me. Just your average croissant with some ham and cheese, nothing special. So yeah, I’m giving Bakehouse all the love for those egg tarts because they’re straight-up fire. But if you’re thinking about branching out to other stuff on the menu, maybe stick to the tarts and skip the croissant.

Verdict - over rated. The sourdough egg tart for HKD12.50 for such a small one is expensive. I find it too sweet for my liking. Didn’t get to try other items as I was only here for the egg tart.

Super love the sourdough egg tarts! One of the best I've tasted in HK .. the other pastries are equally yummy also- apple crumble danish, cinnamon roll, croissant, donuts, chocolate cookie. They also have coffee but I wasn't able to try it. The egg tarts are quite popular and it gets soldout quickly especially on weekends. Best to buy early.

Hard to choose just one ting in this bakery. Literally everything looks delicious. This time, we chose to try the apple pie cookie, the sourdough egg tarts and the cinnamon pecan roll. Speechless🤤!! Can’t wait to come back!! Highly recommend!!

Best pastry in Hong Kong ✨ I recommend trying tiramisu danish ($55), the crispiness on the outside and softness in the middle creates the perfect ratio balance. The wait is short, so try anything that catches the attention of that beautiful brain of yours. Just remember to not be afraid to try something new everyday - yours truly BRIANNA
