"This small, family-owned bakery and cafe rolls out an impressive lineup of pastries and breads. Pre-order online for pickup on Fridays to Sundays. Starting in April its carbs also make an appearance at the Anne Arundel County Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings." - Tierney Plumb, Claudia Rosenbaum

Mostly underwhelming. Quality of the food is disappointing. We ordered the quiche, almond croissants, regular croissants, scones, pain de compagne and the breakfast buns. 🫰 and definitely not worth it. Save your money and just go for the breakfast buns. Quiche, well cooked but bland with a soggy bottom Scones gluey and heavy. Bread was supposed to be sourdough but no sourdough flavor detected. Some chain grocery stores can make a better loaf than the we bought. It did look tempting. Almond croissants were the most disappointing. Undercooked gluey pastry on the inside covered with gobs of perhaps almond paste but mostly just a sugary mixture. Again, don't be fooled by the glossy looks and skip the ho hum regular croissants as well.

Google
Worth 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 hype 👏🏼 Anything and everything they bake looks and will probably taste like heaven 🤝 and butter My partner got the lemon poppy seed bar and it was the perfect amount of buttery and sweet, not overly but enough to be like YES. We are DOING THIS his buddy got the almond croissant and let me try a bite too. I’m not a croissant gal, but HOLY 🐄 it was amazing

Google
I have been before and pastries are delicious. However, we ordered a quiche for the first time. It was absolutely flavorless. If you want to charge $7 for a slice of quiche, it better be good. Zero salt, seasoning and flavor. It was also cold and I was not offered to have it warmed up.

Google
There is no reason not to go here, unless of course it's because they are closed. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh and not lacking flavor. The coffee/lattes are a bonus. Make sure you make this a must do when visiting Annapolis!

Google
I spent my summer in Annapolis and this place was my little safe place while there. So cute , everything is delicious and the coffee is great. I wish they delivered because now that I’m back home I’m been craving 😭. Thank you for always a great experience and delicious sweets.

Google
No pics but the Market Bun was definitely one of my faves. Also snagged an Almond,Chocolate and Blueberry crumb muffin was also delectable! Will be back!!!

Google
We recommend Bakers & co. to all of our guests. Boaters stopping in for an over night at our marina and "mega yacht" chefs calling Annapolis home for the summer, all appreciate this unique and authentic bakery.

Google
Local corner bakery mixed into a residential area. This place is the real deal. The stollen scone, almond lemon poppy tea cake, and almond croissant are our favorites. They’re only open on Fri, Sat, Sun so plan accordingly and don’t miss it. There’s always parking nearby. Thanks for bringing great baked goods to Annapolis!

Mark J.

Yelp
Awesome little spot in Eastport. All the baked goods are worth trying. However, I'm partial to the market bun. Tossed in brown sugar and cinnamon with a hint of orange zest, it's is divine. They offer a full espresso bar too, so you can get that caffeine hit as well !

Kyle V.

Yelp
Fantastic bakery! In a great little neighborhood in Eastport and fits every stereotype of the area. Quality pastries that are not too sweet. Surprisingly good espresso for not being a "coffee place". Only open on Fridays and weekends so you'll have to hit it on the right time. But highly recommend if you're in the area.

Jolie W.

Yelp
As a bakery junkie, I can honestly say the chocolate almond croissant was the best I have ever had!

Anna F.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in Eastport. They have good flat white and Americano coffee and a great selection of pastries. We tried the zucchini muffin and was delicious. I love going to this coffee shop every time I'm in Annapolis. Unfortunately, they are only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am- 2 pm.

Karen P.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Great service too. The quiche was my favorite. Great flavor and fluffy filling which sounds weird to describe a quiche but consistency was perfect. Also got the morning glory muffin and peach/ginger scone. I really like ginger so for me a stronger ginger flavor would have been even better. The muffin was perfect. Can't wait to go back.

Adam S.

Yelp
This place is old school AMAZING you wont lose weight coming here, but will be back over and over!

Heidy P.

Yelp
This galette is delectable, a bit sweet and savory, and delicate. Their selection of pastries is very nice but not overwhelming. You can select from sweet, savory, and a mix between the two.

Leslie T.

Yelp
Very good food, fresh everything, delectable quiche and perfectly brewed coffee. This would be 3.5 stars if we could- but that's purely based on the ordering system, the lack of crowd control or guidance, and the inability to see the menu especially for coffee selections and baked goods themselves through the glass. The food and beverages themselves were 5 stars no question.

Don W.

Yelp
Preordered a week ahead of time. This place cannot figure it out. Lines down the block. Nobody working. Customers coming out one every 5 minutes. Completely unable to handle the business. Horrible. Horrible.

Elise K.

Yelp
YOU NEED TO GET THE MARKET BUN! I've been dreaming about it since I left... it's one of those places that hits the spot and you can't wait to go back to

Barbara B.

Yelp
Love this spot!! Went last weekend, ordered amazing cafe lattes, espresso and croissants! The ham and cheese was sooo great!! The chocolate was amazing as well. I have never been let down by this coffee shop. We love to go to different places but if I need a staple, must have it right without having to worry if I wasted my time or now GAS.... Definitely the go to!!

Brian B.

Yelp
Great place. I knew it would be when I saw the line out the door. Great selection of scones, muffins, pastries, croissants, breads. Went back two more times and stocked up for my boat trip.

David M.

Yelp
We were promised that we could get hot chocolate from the sandwich shop we were using for our boat trip. However, when we got there we couldn't - so it was a mad dash to this cool little coffee shop before we had to leave. I have to say - the hot chocolate was GREAT and totally worth the walk! Staff was friendly - but when I asked how long it takes to make a hot chocolate they said "a couple minutes" (because they make them from scratch) - they neglected to mention they couldn't do them in parallel - so "a couple minutes" meant 10 to do an order of 5. Not complaining - but just be aware of this if you're in a rush. Absolutely awesome place.

Laura S.

Yelp
Fast and friendly with great coffee and baked goods. Their quiche is creamy with a flaky crust and great flavor.

Dan B.

Yelp
The food is ok but this the experience is very unpleasant. They don't let you in the store and you need to order at the door without knowing what. There's a tip expected not sure why. If you are a bakery pay your employees. Tips are for service. If you want tips serve. Make up your mind what kind of business you are.

Chris F.

Yelp
Walked here from downtown early in the morning to find a line had formed just before opening. That's a good sign !!! Looked through the window and saw many wonderful items. I got the lemon, poppyseed, tea cake. It was awesome, refreshing citrus with a not to overpowering sweetness, moist and fresh. My brother got a croissant and having just come in from Europe said it was amazing, so that has to be a compliment. The line contained both locals and visitors, so if you want your pick I'd go earlier rather than latter.

Rob B.

Yelp
Only open Friday to Sunday, there was a line before it opened but was gone 15 minutes after opening. I got the Ham & Cheese Croissant, Plain Croissant and the Market Muffin which was the best of the three. While the pastries were intensely fresh and flakey, they lacked the taste of butter. Beautiful, well executed and fresh but these pastries were Shortening from lack of butter.

Haru Y.

Yelp
Wow so blown away by this little gem of a bakery in annapolis! Randomly stumbled across this on yelp while looking up places for breakfast. Got here about 30 min after opening and saw there was already a decent line - which honestly got me more excited! We tried the market bun, almond croissant, raspberry scone and quiche. Market bun was our favorite! It was like a cross between a croissant and a cinnamon roll. Crispy and flaky dough but moist on the inside with a cinnamon flavor. Can't even describe it well but so tasty! The almond croissant was also delicious! The croissant dough again on point, and a classic almond filling. The scone was a bit of a disappointment with a slightly soggy/mushy texture. The quiche was also good. Basically we loved it so much we came back the next day too and also tried the pain au chocolat and focaccia. These were also good but the standouts are still market bun and almond croissant. I would have come back a third day but unfortunately they're only open Friday through Sunday!

Jason H.

Yelp
We went to this small bakery during the COVID pandemic, and they take orders from the front door. There was a short line when we went for breakfast on a Saturday, which gave us time to decide on our order. Out of everything we ordered, the market bun was the best. It's crispy, flaky, dusted on cinnamon sugar, and tastes like a sweet egg custard in baked form. It's definitely fresh, and the only thing that would have made it better was if it was still warm out of the oven. The almond crossaint was also very fresh and flaky. The ham quiche was cheesy and just melts in your mouth, yet the crust is still crunchy. The scone was a little lacking however, since the consistency was a bit soft and mushy. Overall it's a fantastic bakery. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Annapolis.

Luice T.

Yelp
Was visiting Annapolis for the weekend and stopped here for a slow breakfast. Got a slice of quiche and a latte. It had a lot of visitors for being a Friday morning - you could tell it was a local favorite, a popular place for moms to grab a pastry and coffee with their little ones. The quiche was silky and light (reminded me of steamed egg), with a good crust, delicious and a good breakfast portion. Coffee was great. I was really tempted to get a croissant to go but didn't :( It's right on the corner, you can park on the street in front of the cafe.

Yelp
Bakers & Co. is a local family-owned bakery and cafe, located on off of Chesapeake. They over a modest selection of housemade and handmade breads and pastries, as well as locally-roasted coffee. The hubs and I stopped by to pick out some desserts for the trip back home - we chose the blueberry bar, a strawberry scone, the famous market bun, and a ham & gruyere croissant. I was a little disappointed with the croissant, as it wasn't buttery and flaky; there didn't seem to be much filling of the gruyere or the pieces of ham T___T There was also no offering of having it heated or anything. Service was friendly, but there wasn't much offering of any recommendations or suggestions of the selections. The cafe itself is cute, as there were some tables to dine-in, and the local seemed to enjoy the coffee varieties. I'm thinking it's best to come right when they open in the morning, as the items seem to be freshly out of the oven then, and some items seem to dry out by the latter half of the day. Limited parking along Chesapeake. +recommend in going when the cafe opens for freshly-baked goods +not many recommendations/suggestions offered +limited parking along Chesapeake

Adele F.

Yelp
Their croissants are great!! But the scones could be better. It may be because I got the items from the Farmer's Market, but the scones were not crispy on the outside. And flavor was lacking

Vicky K.

Yelp
Delicious and adorable place but wildly inefficient. Be prepared to wait in line for 45 minutes depending on what time you go. Strong suggestion to change they way you operate, Bakers & Co!

Allen T.

Yelp
One of the best things about living in Eastport is having this amazing French Bakery in the neighborhood. Everything is absolutely delicious. Their breads are crispy outside and soft and chewy inside, croissants are flaky and delicious, as good as anything in Paris, pastries are all wonderful, be sure to try and market bun. lattes are perfect as well.

Debbie S.

Yelp
We happened to be driving down the street and saw a long line outside this little corner store. Caught the name and realized it was a bakery. Well, we took the next right and then again and again to come back to it and parked and headed over. Chatted with a few people in line who raved about the breads and croissants and said you really couldn't go wrong with your choice. And they were right! We bought a Rhubarb Ginger scone which was possibly THE VERY BEST SCONE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Also bought a most excellent Blueberry scone and a Rustic Sourdough loaf. ALL THREE WERE MORE THAN AMAZING. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!

Nushi C.

Yelp
Their almond croissant is to die for. Their breads are so fresh and tasty. Just love them.

Julia B.

Yelp
Super cute place. Customer service- the lady at the cashier was super nice and friendly! Ham and Gruyere Croissant- super good. I warmed it up before I ate it and it was definitely the way to go. Zucchini Chocolate Muffin- I'm a pretty big fan of zucchini bread so I thought I'd try this. There were a lot of spices in there that I couldn't really put my finger on and I thought it would be more chocolatey. It was not my favorite thing. Overall, I'm definitely coming back to try more of their pastries!!

Deven G.

Yelp
Simply the best. Better than all the rest. Seriously, get one of everything including the drinks. You won't regret it.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Nice cozy coffee shop in Annapolis. I had the ham quiche, black coffee, and got an almond croissant to-go. Doesn't have a menu/breakfast food but perfect for a coffee and pastry stop. A little small so if you need to do work or meet with friends/colleagues you might prefer to take the coffee to go or pick a bigger spot.

Gaile J.

Yelp
Bread and pastries are wonderful, but we have given up on this shop that's right in our neighborhood due to limited hours, long wait lines, and that they have not reopened the inside which used to be a nice cozy space. There are other options now around town.

Deborah C.

Yelp
Cute coffee and bakery shop right outside the heart of downtown Annapolis. 7 small tables with seats inside and a couple of outdoor seats with umbrellas. The menu is pretty simple and their selection is all set out behind the glass decorated with string lights. I went with a vanilla cappuccino, plain croissant and apple and ginger scone. Cappucino was hot and delicious. Plain croissant was buttery, flaky and airy. The perfect croissant. Apple and ginger scone - the best part of the scone was the outer layer. The middle/inside was mushy and the consistency was not tasty.

Claire H.

Yelp
Bakers & Co is absolutely amazing! I've been there three times in the past week. All three times I've gotten something different and have not been disappointed. They are experts at their craft. I've ordered the rhubarb and ginger scone. The scone was large in size and hard a good balance of sweet rhubarb and spicy ginger. Their almond croissant is amazing with the perfect toasted top and almond filling center. Lastly, I've ordered their bakers quiche with swiss and gruyere cheese; it was divine. Bakers & Co is a must!

Winnie D.

Yelp
This place seems off the crowded beaten path of the rest of Annapolis and to me feels like the place locals go. Always go where the locals go!! No matter what, pick yourself up a market bun. To me it was like a delicious fluffy cinnamon sugar croissant.

Li-yun Y.

Yelp
We went there as soon as it opened and waited in line. It was worth the wait. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the pastries we ordered were delicious. Espresso drinks and hot coco were very good as well.

Sunni P.

Yelp
Cute little corner bakery with small town charm. Enjoyed the lemon poppyseed cake and cinnamon bun. My new go to spot when visiting Annapolis.

Julie B.

Yelp
Wonderful bakery with very sadly limited hours. We tried the gamut: croissants, galettes, coffee, hot chocolate...all were excellent. The line is epic and they need 2 baristas...it took 30 minutes to get our drinks with antsy kids. They also are currently only open from 8-2 Friday, Saturday, Sunday so alas, we will miss a second visit. Definitely a destination bakery but until they get a second person working the drinks, skip the beverages or you'll miss your entire visit with friends waiting at the bar for your name to be called!

David M H.

Yelp
Products are excellent! Best ingredients properly prepared. No more needs to be said.

Willie R.

Yelp
I came here with some friends on a weekend trip to Annapolis. One of our travel party had read about Bakers & Co. and was dying to try it. The strawberry scone was good, like a 4 out of 5. It had good, sweet strawberries baked right in and was soft, unlike a lot of scones I've had recently. The market bun, which I understand is wildly popular, was really nice. It had a great dose of cinnamon without tasting overly of cinnamon. One thing we all noticed was that they don't warm their baked items here, which is a little strange for such a popular bakery. Room temperature baked goods just aren't the same. The line never seemed to die down the whole time that we were there (we sat at one of the outside tables). They do have a variety of coffees and teas available, and service is pretty quick--not the friendliest in the world, but efficient. If I were anywhere near here again, I'd probably drop through to get another market bun!

Jewels J.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in quiet part of town that isn't part of a corporate chain!!! Wanted to give more stars but settled on three. I would say the coffee and a hot chocolate that we each had was above average. However the ham and cheese croissants left much to be desired. If I didn't see a few tiny pieces of ham, I would just say that it was a croissant with a tiny bit of cheese. The pastries looked fabulous, so I would go back and give it another chance to try one of those and perhaps would have a better experience. On a Saturday morning up at 9:45, the place was completely packed and seating inside and outside was hard to find. Inside is very loud and small. Kudos to super nice staff and patrons who shared their seats outside with us. Would definitely go back and give it another shot.

Neal V.

Yelp
I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet about this place. Nice random house that serves pastries and coffee. I will list a few aspects I find to be nice: *The pastries* - try the market bun, pastiche, and their scones Service - very prompt Quiet but social ambiance Free water Things I wish that were better: More space availability (for seating) The ability to warm up pastries The coffee quality - espresso drinks are pretty good, but I know they can do better Worth a try. When I even have a day off, or find myself in the area, I try to visit.

Crysta I.

Yelp
Delicious!! The bakery good are scrumptious! This tiny little place is perfect for meeting a friend for a cup of tea and chatting. But it is a little tiny for bigger groups unless you can sit outside. It can get pretty crowded. But it is worth the wait.

Christine C.

Yelp
Little, quaint and delicious! There is a lot about this small coffee/pastry shop to like. The large window, 4 small tables, the croissants! They serve Pronto coffee and make their own pastry creations. They only opened last weekend and I am already hoping they make it. They have scones, croissants, granola, coffee beverages, espresso, cocoa, tea, etc. the pastries are buttery and crunchy, and flakey inside. They are made with love and perfection from what I can see. They plan to serve soup and light meal items down the line. Street parking. I will be back!!

Jessica R.

Yelp
THE BEST BAKERY IN THE WORLD. I am a croissant connoisseur, they are my favorite thing ever. I have tried croissants all across Paris/Europe and these are hands-down the best croissants ever. Also a very cute local environment.

Nelson F.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go on the weekends. The market bun & croissants are incredible. There is usually a line in the mornings but the pastries are well worth the wait. The bread is a little expensive but you won't regret it. Good thing they are only open Friday to Sunday or I would probably come here everyday.

Lingsheng L.

Yelp
Bakers & Co. comes up to mind whenever I picture the perfect spot for coffee and *croissants* on a Sunday morning. The shop itself sits comfortably at the corner of a beautiful and quiet Annapolis neighborhood. When you first step inside, you will be greeted by the smell of freshly roasted coffee and a very friendly and helpful staff standing behind stacks of oven-baked pastries. (It just doesn't get better than this). My personal favorites: #1. Goat cheese & artichoke croissant (kindly ask the staff to toast it for you before serving) #2. Butter croissant. #3. Almond croissant, which is very sweet and almond-Y but goes perfectly with regular coffee and perhaps another savory treat :-)

Kristie J.

Yelp
This place hits all of the spots. If you go on a weekend, it gets really busy, so make sure to come early. Right on the corner of off a main street, Bakers & Co is a must do. They have delicious pastries, quiche and coffee. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered a ham quite, market bun, almond croissant and blueberry bar. They were all AMAZING. My favorite was the almond croissant. It was crispy on the outside and deliciously sweet in the middle. It wasn't too artificial and contained real almond in addition to the paste. The market bun was my second favorite, it was crispy and slightly sweet on the outside, just perfect with coffee. The quiche is what you'd expect and deliciously creamy, I'm sure it had lots of good stuff in there, and finally the blueberry bar was the sweetest thing that we had and extremely filling. When we go back, I'm not sure what I will have, because I want them all again. Service was friendly and fast. This place is street parking only so if you can't walk to here from where you are, you might want to come early or at off hours. This place is worth the splurge for sure!

Julie K.

Yelp
What can I say about Bakers & Co. that hasn't been said? If you're looking for a respite from the hustle and bustle of your day, stop in for a croissant and coffee. Basically every baked good I have tried from here is delicious, but the goat cheese and artichoke croissant and the pain as chocolat stand out, especially when warm they are quite delectable. People who drink Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, or other sweet coffees beware! The coffee here is strong! I had a hard time finishing the dirty chai... If you're used to sweet best to go with something with flavoring. Fantastic little spot to chat with friends or enjoy a moment of solitude.

Courtney K.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Super cute bakery with great baked goods and coffee but street parking only. Like many places in downtown Annapolis and Eastport it's a good (or any) parking space that stands between me and regular trips to Bakers & Co. But if you can find a spot, get dropped off or walk over then decadent, delicious pastries and fresh breads await you. I like savory items like the quiche since they also have protein but the sweet buns and muffins are irresistible. The interior is small and quaint so its not the best spot for large families with bulky stuff like strollers but don't let that stop you from getting something to go.

Patty H.

Yelp
Still the best ever! You need to make this your must stop destination bakery fix! I would drive out of my way to have heaven explode in my mouth with a bite of their almond croissant. Sooo good. Well. You can tell I am a fan, but the line out the door on this Sunday says I am not the only one. Just saying!
