My favorite donut spot. Buttery, sweet, warm donuts baked to perfection. There’s always a line but they never disappoint. Well worth the travel from afar and well worth the wait.

Donuts are great; service is not. They rush you through, are very impersonal, and charge more if you pay with card.

Great doughnut shop that has good prices and large baked goods! They also do coffee and it has a very homey dinner feel! If you are around the area and want doughnuts I highly reccomend. They are open at 5am which is great if you work 3rds! The doughnuts stay fresh for a long time and we got there warly enough one day we got fresh warm doughnut holes 😍 the employees are so happy and helpful. And bless the guys in the back they work so hard!

They have the best glazed donuts I've ever had anywhere. We go pretty much every Sunday for the kids. There usually a line but the service moves quickly they have serval people working On customers. Best donuts in the area! Depending on how busy they are, sometime you'll have to wait for a parking spot to open up. If there's a wait for fresh, hot donuts, wait. It's worth it.

Glazed donuts for sure are a win the other donuts I tried not so much. Out of a bunch at 8:30am. Powder donut no good. The blueberry cake balls were sweet. The line was long for such a small interior with 4 seats.

I like the softness of the glazed donuts but it's too sweet! I ordered a coffee, i think it's white vanilla and it's too sweet also. I hope they can lessen the sweetness of there donuts and the coffee.

I don't live too far from Bakers Dozen, but it's a good thing I don't live any closer. What an amazing array of fresh and pretty donuts! Anything you could think of, including seasonal items! Service is prompt and efficient, although the parking is scarce. Excellent!

I experienced the Bakers Dozen for the first time last week... Let's just say it won't be my last! A coworker brought a bunch of glazed donuts into work, and they are hands down the BEST glazed donuts in the city! I typically only like cake donuts, but now I've been converted. They are thick, perfectly sweet, soft, and chewy. Not your average glazed donut! Do yourself a favor, go get some! Grab me a few while you're at it ;)

Sometimes you just need some quick donuts or donut holes before work! I wanted to bring my coworkers some lucky charm on St. Patrick' Day and Bakers Dozen had the cutest 45 poppables to offer. The poppables were donut holes decorated for St. Patrick's Day. I treated myself to a Bavarian Cream Filled Chocolate Covered Donut and it was delicious! Service was fast and friendly at 6:15 am! The food was fresh! Check them out when you need a quick sugary pick me up!

The best donut in town, in my humble opinion! There's a reason their hours are so limited-- BECAUSE THEY CAN BE!!! They're just that good! I'm a sucker for a hot glazed and their buttermilk donuts. The best donuts. Hands down. Period. No competition! They are only open in the morning so hurry that way before they close! You get a free donut with every dozen you buy too. These are thick, heavenly, and perfectly sweet (not too sweet like KK)

It's easy to see why this place has been around for so long. Bakers Dozen has so many cute and creative donuts but I'll only order two when I come here because they're just that good. The Apple Crumble and the Apple Cinnamon are life. I can't decide which one I enjoy more, the crumble of Apple Crumble or the cinnamon sugary goodness of the Apple Cinnamon. Luckily I don't have to choose and just get half and half. Both are filled with warm and delicious apple filling and taste like the best apple pie you've ever had in your life but in donut form. They are little pillows of heaven. Normally I'm not a donut person, especially at breakfast. Don't get me wrong, they're good and everything but for breakfast I want savory, not sweet. Has Bakers Dozen changed this stance? Yes indeed. Don't let the line out the door stop you from trying them! So worth the wait for these babies!

Just amazing. Their donuts are freshly made, the sugar rush will last for hours, their glaze Will leave a shining mark around your mouth for hours, asking you to go back for more. The glazed donut with creme filling is simply heaven.

This was my very first visit to the Bakers Dozen. I'm in love!!!! The customer service experience was AWESOME. I received a free donut hole just for being a new customer. When you purchase a dozen donuts you get 13 donuts instead of 12. I order a assorted dozen of donuts. Chocolate Donut Twist, Vanilla Donut Twist, Buttermilk Drop Holes, Apple Fiddle and a Honey Bun. I selected the Apple Crumble as my free donut. The Buttermilk Drop Holes are delicious. The donut Twist have the perfect crisp and soft center. The donut fillings are delicious OMG! If you haven't had the opportunity to try the Bakers Dozen I recommend you stop by soon. There is seating if you decided you want to enjoy your donut on site. The also sale coffee coco and other beverages. They also sale souvenirs with the logo.

I'm more of a Krispy Kreme kind of gal but I've been passing up this place every morning to work and finally decided to stop by. They open from 7am till 11am so usually I'm rushing to work and never had the chance to stop by. I've been back at least three or four times so far. Their glazed donuts are so freaking addictive. It's usually a five minute wait if you want glazed but the wait is so worth it. It just melts in your mouth. They also have bunch of different filling donuts and donuts hole to purchase. If you purchase a dozen of donuts, you get a free one. They also sell King Cakes. For kids, they have weekly special that they decorated in a theme. Be careful with parking and getting out since they are located in a busy intersection.

Absolutely love Baker's Dozen! The donuts are always so fresh and fluffy. When you order glaze it may take a minute but that's only because they are bringing them straight from the back area so they will be super fresh and still hot. Also anytime you order a dozen donuts you get to choose one extra to complete that baker's dozen! I would recommend giving the Blueberry Crumble a try.

Literally the best donuts in the city!! Also today my son came in and there were no blue donuts so they made him one special for him. Thanks for being awesome Baker's Dozen and making this kid's day!!

Located just after the causeway on Jefferson highway this tiny spot is jammin on a weekend morning and most days for that matter. Donuts galore - cake donuts, glazed donuts, sprinkles and chocolate covered, filled and fancy they make it all! This place is a happening spot and you can order dozens and dozens ahead to pick up or come in and sit at the counter. Old fashioned donuts done well!

WOW! Great donuts, incredibly friendly and efficient staff. Let's talk about lagniappe, they deliver on the original meaning to the phrase "Bakers Dozen", buy a dozen and get an extra & fresh tasty delight of your choice, the13th donut is on the house. My personal favorite, the Blueberry Crumb and that was recommended by the kind young lady that assisted me. If she had not guided me in that direction I may have not been so fortunate to experience what may possibly be the best donut I've ever had, now that is lagniappe! Thank y'all so much for making me feel like the only customer in your store, all the while you were so busy treating everyone else in your business like they were only customer in the store.

Went on Tuesday morning 630am and they're closed ?? Disappointed. Two stars are because i know they're good but the hours of operation needs to be fixed

Every week at my school, I do a food ABCs with my kindergarten class. Last week was the letter D, and since it was the week before Christmas break I decided we could have a sweet treat instead of our usual healthy choices. I of course immediately thought of donuts and saw that bakers dozen was on the way to the school I work at. I stopped in and was greeted with a strong whiff of sugary donut goodness. I ordered two dozen glazed, and they must have a special (one free donut per dozen) so they gave me two free additional donuts of my choice. Since they were for my students, I decided to stick with glazed and not go crazy (five year olds can be quite picky!). When they gave me the boxes, they were steaming hot so I knew the donuts must've just been made which made my drive to work all the more difficult. Do you know how incredibly hard it is to sit in a car with two dozen freshly baked donuts next to you without taking a bite of one? I don't think my car has ever smelled that good ever. Ever. So once I brought the donuts to school and gave them to my students, there were enough left over to share with some teachers so I split one with my coworker and it honestly might have been one of the best glazed donuts I've had in my entire life. Like, if I could eat an entire box without gaining any weight I would eat the entire box within a matter seconds. That good. And obviously my students loved them as well! So long story short, you should go here for some delicious piping hot glazed donuts!

Bakers Dozen is a solid old school donut shop. It's been in operation in the location since 1993 but the location has been a donut shop most of my life. The donuts are always fresh and nice and yeasty. If the donuts are iced, they aren't usually glazed which I appreciate. Love their fun flavors and that they give back to the community. Their donut holes are completely addictive and if near me will be ravenously consumed in the style of cookie monster. Even when the shop is busy the staff is on the hustle to get everyone moving. Delish!

Best donuts in THE WORLD! Yep, I said it... the world... and it's true! Get the glazed. Hot glazed any morning can turn my frown upside down :) Also, workers are nice, so that's a major plus.

This past Sunday my friend and I went on a hunt to find New Orleans' best glazed donut. We went to Bakers Dozen, Blue Dot, Shipley's, Tastee, On Faith, City Donuts, District, Buttermilk, and Terrytown Cafe. Of all of these donut shops, Bakers Dozen won out (Terrytown came in second). So with that being said, I can speak on behalf of Baker's Dozen's glazed donut - it has a perfect consistency, great glaze, you could taste the perfect amount of yeasty-ness. I will go back for this donut again and again and again. I'm excited to head back to try some of their other countless donut varieties (plus the donut holes, which are also dangerous to me because I know I could eat 50+).

You better get in line right when they open, or else you might miss out! Many companies head their to get a load of donuts for the office. Why? Because the donuts are fabulously sinful especially the cinnamon twists, cinnamon rolls and apple fritters!!

It's true! These donuts are soft, fresh, not too yeasty, and addicting! When I got in there was a line of 3 ahead and more ladies joined to help out - friendly and efficient! Didn't want to be greedy so I got the King Cake donut and a dozen holes. Love the bags so cute! Couldn't resist while driving and I snuck in a hole. Whoa so light, fluffy, cute, and a pretty good amount of just right sweetness. The glaze isn't too sugary where it may fall out in clumps but small flakes. King Cake donut was great! Original dipped in glaze and with the tradition colored sugars. It was light and airy and just NOM NOM NOM. Definitely a treat while I'm home for a few days from California - getting home feeling with deliciousness without wasting an entire king cake purchase. Not sure if it's possible to do a cinnamony magic spell to the KCD but if BD can you got a winner where it is definitely like King cake! Will be back for whatever duration I'm in town - cannot wait!

I have become such a fan of Bakers Dozen. It is my go to place for Donuts in the JP. The glazed are typically hot and all the donuts are super fresh. The staff is FREiNDLY and the place is always clean. Solid parking and easy to get to on Jeff Hwy. do yourself a favor and go get a donut today.

Ashley was great . We was greeted immediately once again . Nice atmosphere. Hubby , Son , and I first stop this Morning. So delicious. We purchased Fresh and Hot Donuts , King Cake Donuts and Traditional King Cake . Treats left over for later . Thank you Ashley for your excellent service .

Solid donuts here! I ordered the glazed cream. Very nice balance as it's lightly glazed and the dough is very light. It's also loaded with cream filling, which I like, so make sure to have a napkin nearby since it will get a bit messy!

The Bakers Dozen menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering donuts such as apple fritters, honey buns and of course glazed. I ordered a dozen mixed for an office meeting. They were exquisite and all the donuts were fresh and refreshing. The service was great and I recommend going to Bakers Dozen.

Most softestestest donuts you will ever put in your mouth! You can get fresh hot glazed donuts throughout business hours which will get you coming back for more. Staff is usually always present and plentiful to help the busy hours that they are open. Everyone is always nice and patient. They offer various other donuts which you can find on the shelves when you walk in. Depending on the holiday, they will almost always have a special donut for that holiday. Each dozen of donuts you purchase, you get a complimentary donut of your choosing, but not the specialty ones. There are many options to choose from, so you should not have any difficulty selecting what you want for free! The shop is always clean and gives you an old school diner feel as there are bar stools by the counter if you want to sit and have a donut and coffee. This place is always busy, but not busy enough to where you won't be in there for longer than 5 minutes. I have been coming here for years over all of the other donut shops around, and luckily, it is closest to my house! Keep up the great work BD fam!

Up until about a year ago, I always thought this place was out of business and just an empty building. Whenever I would drive by it was never open nor were any cars there. I would often see people with boxes from here at garage sales around the area though. Fleurty Girl kept promoting them too. I finally looked them up on Yelp and said well, no wonder! They are hardly open. They close at 11am everyday. I had read a lot of good things about the place and said sometime I'll have to try to stop there when they are open. This past weekend, I finally stopped in. However, they were about to close in ten minutes and there really wasn't a whole lot left to choose from. I picked one of their Spring Fling donuts and took it home. It was very good. It wasn't too greasy and it was very light and fluffy. The glaze had just the right amount of sweetness to it. Each single donut is a dollar a piece. It seems their boxes of donut holes are a popular choice. They seem to cater a lot to little kids too, as many of their donuts are cutely decorated with cartoon characters (as seen on the calendar of their website). It would be nice if they had longer hours, but I guess they do a good enough business to stick with their current hours.

Their donuts are amazingly delicious, It just seems to me the donuts are getting a little smaller.
