Baker's Ribs

Food was delicious. I like their brisket sandwich. Their Mac and cheese has the perfect texture. I order on Uber eats from time to time but I was nearby so I decided to stop in. Everyone was friendly and the place is small but very clean.

Hate writing this but best thing was the fries! Brisket is soooooo bland it wasn’t even rubbed with salt and pepper just over smoked flavor not a seasoning in site! Potato salad ok but everything else bland. Definitely not a grain of seasoning in the building. Just look at the dry brisket

Haven’t been to a Bakers Ribs since I was a teenager which was some YEARS ago lol so decided to take my parents out to dinner tonight and we ended up here and was not disappointed at all! Everything was delicious just like we remembered it and after a few bites we were full and had to get to go boxes that’s how good the portion sizes are, will be back soon!

The one bad thing that I DO have to say is.....my lunch break is not long enough ugh! I really wish I had time to sit down & eat because the atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. I called to order in advance (30 minute lunch break), and the gentleman who answered the phone was so nice. He said come on in that there was plenty. So I started to walking and in that few miniutes they almost grabbed the last potato BUT he saved it for me! It's the little things like that ya'll that tell me all I need to know about an establishment. I would really like to point out that the chopped beef sandwhich was sooooooo delicious it did not stand a chance okay lol and my potato was perfect. I highly recommend they get 5+ stars from me. My first time there and definitely not my last. Anyone who's had a not so great experience I strongly encourage you to give them another shot. Freely You Have Received Grace, Freely You Should Give Grace. Also because of my short amount of time I scarfed my food down so fast I didn't get any pics lol UPDATED: went back, sat down, took pictures and left more than happy. 🤤

I had the brisket sandwich plate with potato salad and grean beans. The meat was free of fat and was nice and tender. The potato salad was good. The green beans could use seasoning and the peach cobler was ok. Would come here again.

Consistently some of the best rib plates in North Texas. This is my first time at the newest location and it is fantastic! Staff is very friendly, my ribs and baked potato were perfect

I have been a customer since 2001 starting at your location on Commerce, then Main, then NW Hwy and now Haskell. It will probably be my last. When I bring in an old completed punch card (yes I know its been a long time) for a free Sandwich plate and I get told they wont accept it and you "might as well throw it away", when there is no expiration date well then my loyalty is over. When your customers are loyal to you then you could honor your word and your old punch card.. I presume they are just passing on the owners orders. You might want to tell the young lady at the cash register that flirting with a customer or possibly a friend for 10 minutes is unprofessional especially when her giggling and laughing is so loud that I can't hear the other person on a phone conversation and I was the only other person in the restaurant. $15 is kinda steep for a small diameter brisket sandwich and 2 sides. The BBQ sandwich tasted good on a more positive note...

The restaurant was very clean the food was hot everything was delicious, the Peach cobbler especially! There was a small hiccup with my mom's order but John 🌟 was understanding a corrected it immediately. Service was fantastic definitely recommend for a nice BBQ experience. We will be back.

He makes you feel like part of the family and ensures you're enjoying your meal. . And let's talk about the food -- absolutely fantastic! I've heard what they're famous for are the ribs which are tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would have tried them by now but I haven't gotten past my favorite, the brisket sandwich. Everything from the sides to the sauce is top-notch. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors really stand out. This is really a nice break for people who have loved ones in the hospital because they are very nearby to Baylor, Scott & White hospital at downtown Dallas. Donald makes every visit memorable, and with such excellent food, you'll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

I live close to this location. Good food. The young lady behind the counter doesn't speak to me at all. I contemplate what to order. After a few minutes I'm told they are only serving breakfast tacos. Thanks for letting me stand there knowing that instead of numerous choices, I only had 4 options (20 minutes before lunch menu). I get my order and I don't even get a thank you. Doesn't even make eye contact. Attitude is part of customer service. Seriously? I'm not appreciated and I will never spend another dollar here. Just wanted some good food not a pissed off young lady that seems unhappy with her life. Wow.

I've been wanting to try this new location on Haskell since I first saw construction on the building after Petra and the Beast moved to lakewood. This building has history in Dallas, and if I'm not mistaken, it is from the 1930s. The location can come quickly as haskell is a one-way street it's best to stay in the right-hand lane as you approach the area. They have a gravel parking lot space as well as some designated handicap spots in front with regular spots as well. The building is a very nice white with a black accent. The location is very inviting and clean inside. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in around 2:30p.m. I ordered a loaded baked potato with sliced brisket. The order was ready promptly. I should have asked them to put the fixings on there, but I know to do that in the future. The brisket was so delicious. Not overly smoky at all, and a nice hint of black pepper blending perfectly well with the cheesy buttery baked potato. According to their website, they have 6 locations, so I feel lucky to have one in close proximity. Be sure to check them out

My only complaint about this place is that I eat too much every time I come. The food is amazing and I can't seem to control myself :)

The food is spot on in this small BBQ restaurant. I have never eaten there because it is blocks from work at Baylor, but we've catered and I've place small orders. They have always been fresh, hot and delicious.

The food I get here is consistent and delicious. The brisket tacos are only $3.50 and are excellent. Their deal on small pork sandwiches can't be beat. They are always friendly and I appreciate their service.

Donald is great and the food is amazing, especially the baked potatoes! Also love the potato salad and the the brisket-delicious for sure.

We both got the house special sandwich plate. The actual bbq was okay, the Mac and cheese/ baked beans were very good! They don't have normal sodas, but they're house made and the cream soda was great. Get an ice cream cone on the way out it was yummy!

A must stop. It's not far from Baylor hospital. Today I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and a side of fried okra. It's loaded with chopped brisket between 2 kinds of melted cheese, Yum. Fried okra is always fresh & hot. Other favorite are the ribs, brisket, pork tacos, loaded brisket fries, loaded brisket baked potato and their fried pies are spot on.
