13 Great Barbecue Restaurants in the Twin Cities

"Baker’s Ribs is based in Dallas — it has five Texas locations, and, for mysterious reasons (though we’re not complaining) this suburban Minnesota outpost. This place has a no-frills vibe, with checkered tablecloths and paper towel rolls on every table. Try the brisket, the dirty rice, and the fried apple pie." - Eater Staff

Great local BBQ joint, canteen style ordering with plenty of tables. The smell is amazing, Smokey and tasty. The service was great and no line but I can imagine it being busy at peak times as to how good it was. Food was just perfect. I had ribs and Texas potatoes what were tasty. Highly recommend

Google
Pros: awesome toasted bun, great beans, delicious chopped brisket, juicy pulled pork, nice slaw, cool potato salad, zesty pasta salad, awesome decor like an antique shop, one of the guys was super friendly and the other was grumpy. Cons: worst BBQ sauce I’ve ever had. Tastes like unseasoned tomato puree from a can. How did they do everything right and mess up the BBQ sauce?

First time trying. The young lady behind the counter was all smiles and wonderful to interact with. I got the House Special but with sliced brisket instead of chopped. The manager said it’s an upcharge of $4.50. Strange because the sandwiches are only $0.75 different a la carte. But I wanted sliced not chopped so I paid the silly upcharge. I also got the beans, and the tomatoes with basil along with my sandwich. The sliced brisket was very dry (see picture) with no flavor of its own, and the beans were sickeningly sweet. I couldn’t finish the meager portion due to this. The tomatoes were fantastic. I tried the sandwich with both the regular and spicy sauce. They are decent and I’m glad I had both instead of one or the other because they’re a bit one note on their own. Overall disappointing and I’m glad I didn’t buy more food. Good barbecue places that can deliver the whole package are hard to find around here I guess. The inside feels cluttered but I didn’t dine in so I didn’t mind.

Google
If you want some good old BBQ this is a great place to try out. The staff are very helpful and kind. There are a ton of options and I need to go back to try more. I got the chopped brisket sandwich with baked beans and a Caesar salad and wow it was all absolutely fantastic. You can also do bulk orders for parties!!

Google
1st - the atmosphere and decor are spot on. It 100% reminds me of getting BBQ back home. When it comes to the food - it was good but not what I describe as Texas bbq. The sides are not your traditional Texas bbq fare - so I chose what seemed to be ranch potato salad and a cold corn salad of some sort. The potato salad was good - the potatoes were soft and it was creamy, the corn was also good- it had more of a TexMex feel. For the pulled pork - the flavor was good - the smoke flavor is natural, which I appreciate bc so many places use liquid smoke, which I don’t like. However it was dry, and the bbq sauce was thin and leaned more toward a spiced ketchup taste rather than bbq sauce. Overall, if you’re just looking for some standard bbq, it’s a good place to stop by but it’s not going to satisfy your craving if you’re a Texas boy or girl looking for a taste of home.

Google
Been here three times already and decided to order online. We expected to pick up at the time stated but ended up waiting longer than not. Apparently it was done but no one bother to gave us our food even after stating our name. But that’s not all, we waited that long just for our fried chicken to not be fully sauce. Was actually disappointed this time.

Google
Regularly frequent Baker’s Ribs for the smoked meats and friendly staff. All the meats are exceptionally juicy and delicious— ribs, sliced brisket, ham, chicken. If you’ve not been here before, I highly recommend the meat platters (2- or 3-meats) to figure out which meats you find most enjoyable! The tomato and dirty rice are delicious sides! Once you find what you like, there’s options to purchase the meats by the pound. Sometimes the chicken wings are unavailable or sold out but tonight they were available and absolutely delicious! Smokey with a hint of spice! No sauce was even needed even though ranch or blue cheese was offered.

Google
I genuinely did love the Ribs and Sausage pictured below. As well as the BBQ Baked beans. The brisket and chicken were more on the dry dry side and not my favorite but good warm BBQ sauce I will say! Super friendly folks but will definitely give them another shot again. Good RIBS tho! Will say one of the best I've had for sure! I do recommend it overall! 💯

Yelp
Brisket, sausage & pork were amazing! Nice size portions, very friendly staff. Atmosphere is very neat. Check out the smokers behind the counter!

Yelp
Eh, what a strange experience. Most folks said this place was good but my food was mediocre at best. I've never been to a place that left the membrane on the ribs, much less a place with ribs in their name, it's just not pleasant. The cook on the ribs was good, but so flavorless. If you don't add their bbq sauce, it was just so bland. The bbq sauce is warm, thin, and very vinegary, so if that ain't for you, then maybe this place isn't right for you. My wife's brisket was not cooked well, and wasn't a good mix of meat and fat, just kind of dry and tough. The baked potato is nothing special either. Overall pretty let down. Staff didn't seem all too thrilled to be there either.
google avatar

Yelp
Baker's ribs has some of the best ribs in Minnesota! Made the trip down to get some and wasn't disappointed. The meat falls off the bone and it's extremely tender and packed with flavor. The bbq sauce was rich and plentiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us some recommendations for the sides. We ended up getting 4 different kinds - beans, coleslaw, dirty rice, and pasta salad. They were all good in their own way but none of them were extraordinary. As for the place itself. It is full of fun decoration with many different pigs, signs, and pictures. Really liked coming here and would recommend!

Yelp
Twenty years ago I really loved Baker's Rib's. It can still be really good, but I find these days it is inconsistent and the owners and workers are less engaged with both the business and their customers. I can't remember the last time I was here that it was full. On this recent visit I saw a sign for a family dinner for $32.99 and with optional upgrade to brisket for $34.99. The sign didn't describe the meal and I erroneously thought the brisket upgrade would be additional meat, not a plate of JUST brisket. In my brain I presumed the family dinner would be a variety of meats, not a single smoked meat. While my mistake, I think this is a great example of the owners/staff being dis-engaged. THEY may know what the family dinner includes, but their guests may not. Potato salad was as good as always, dirty rice was not quite as good. The brisket had great flavor and included two chunks of meat, one super fatty and one super lean and dry. I can't recall a visit in years where the staff were engaged and friendly. They all looked bored and don't want to be there and the restaurant is beginning to look tired. I also find it annoying that they are weighing everything prior to serving. They've been in business for more than 25 years, they should know what a pound of meat looks like.

Arturo L.

Yelp
Nothing is fresh, flavorless meat, no smoke ring BBQ sauce is ok , sides are not fresh. No Mac and cheese no corn bread.

D W.

Yelp
The bbq brisket and baked beans are excellent! I recommend this place. I have eaten there twice and will go back.

Yelp
Been here a few times now. When you walk in you order at a counter and they cut the meat(s) and prepare your plate for you. The brisket was a bit chewy and overdone, not tender. The baked beans were very flavorful and probably the highlight of the meal. Bread was good, barbecue sauce on each table was very tasty. Overall would recommend, could use a little more care in communication from the counter staff and a bit more work on the brisket.

Craig G.

Yelp
I'm on a series of business trips, and I spent the previous two weeks in Texas. I was jones-ing for some BBQ. The brisket was good, a bit moist for my taste, as I prefer lean. The counter staff was efficient, and my plate of sliced Brisket, Beans, and Dirty rice was ready right away. The house sauce was a bit thin, but warmed and had a bit of spice. The tables are a bit crowded, but the seating was clean and plentiful. In general a nice dinner, but I'll return to Texas for better BBQ.

CJ B.

Yelp
Have been back several times because the food is so good! We've tried the chicken, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and pretty much all the sides and all have been delicious. Feels like a little hole in the wall and loved that vibe. Definitely recommend.

Andrew M.

Yelp
Excellent ribs and beer can chicken. The bake potatoes were delicious. Fast service and I got my food to go so I can not comment on the in house dining. The dining looked nice but it is self service. Would definitely go back.
google avatar

Pablos H.

Yelp
We ordered a full rack plate and they were good. Not great but good. Got beans and tomato salad and both decent. The beans a little too sweet for me. Also ordered the sliced brisket meal as the guy said the brisket was good. Don't order brisket. Completely dry, even with sauce. Stick with the ribs.

Anthony I.

Yelp
Best brisket in Minnesota so far. After spending substantial time in Texas, Baker's Ribs hits my top 100.

Yelp
The food is amazing here!! It's soooo delicious with fresh flavor, meats, & delicious sauces. The prices have definitely increased, but I can split a meal tray with someone & be super full. The service is good & they get you your food fast as it's in an assembly line style. Then, you have the option to eat in the restaurant or take home. The restaurant is nice, lots of Texan decor. They have extra napkins & sauces at every table which is definitely needed. Great place !!

Yelp
Omg been coming here for 25 plus years. It puts Famous Dave's and Famous Daves own personal BBQ place to shame. The lunch special is a good sandwich value. Their potato salad is the bomb. Their dirty rice makes me all giggly. Their rib tips omg. Their baked potato with bbq isn't too shabby either. Ate here over 100 times over the years and never had a bad meal.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Food was done quickly and tasted wonderful. My only complaint was they only have one choice for bbq sauce, but the one they have is good
google avatar

Duke S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this restaurant. During by a three years and never stopped in but always thought I would someday and finally did. Awesome Ribs, tender and meaty, great sauce. Large baked potato and really good coleslaw. My wife got the beer can chicken with the same size is very very good.

Leah S.

Yelp
The meat itself was very good, however, the bbq sauce only comes in one flavor and it is very sweet and tomato flavored. Overall it was ok. Meat is good but variety and quality could be improved. Service was good. Real plates are not available, just styrofoam.
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
This is the best Texas BBQ in the state! The friendly staff and funny decor. The price is a little scary when you first see it. The quality and portion size of the food shows you why.
google avatar

Marla K.

Yelp
How is famous Dave's even open if this place exists!?? People should go here instead!! best ribs in the Twin Cities hands down!!. Delicious baked beans with lots of spices. brisket delicious. Everything I've had here has been amazing! Always a good bargain for lunch - good sized portions and great prices. I will say that they need to work on customer service. The people on the phone have always been less than kind and in a rush. And they do need to teach people behind the counter just decent human being manners. I do not have high expectations for the employees.

Yelp
Texas style BBQ near Twin Cities. I needed a place to stop for lunch before heading to the airport. I read about this great BBQ spot close to where I had meetings and decided to give it a shot since they were closed for dinner the night before (due to Memorial Day). Baker's Ribs is the real deal located in a small shopping center close to the highway exit. It was pretty easy to find and they had plenty of parking when I arrived around 11:40 am. They had some decorations on the walls and all around. I also felt good about my decision when I saw the line out the door so early. You place your order at the counter and then pay at the end of the line. Drinks are self-service. They also have some peanuts near where you order that you can eat while you wait on your food as they cut the meats per each order. The line moved pretty fast and they have lots of seating. I opted to try the ribs (since it's part of their name) and went with their four bone lunch special with 1 side and added a ¼ lb of turkey. The meats were very good. The beans were also on point. They had sweet tea, plenty of lemons and a fixins bar with pickles, onions and more. I even liked the warm BBQ sauce they had on every one of the tables along with a roll of paper towels. A nice touch. Everything looked very good and they had some sides that you don't normally find at a BBQ place. I certainly recommend this place and would go back if I'm in the area again.

Yelp
Very good BBQ. Good price, nice workers and authentic eats. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
1st time stop by because daughter wanted something from next door... my nose decided BBQ would be better for us tonight- Wow WoW am i glad. This place will be visited many more times by our Family. Excellent food and service (to go) but delicious and worth the price. Thank you Ribs/Brisket/corn salad/potato salad were all top notch!!! Bw

Yelp
Love this gem. I had driven by for years and we finally stopped in. Texas style bbq with several sides to choose. Independent and not a chain which creates food with care that only a proprietor can deliver. Now I know how this has survived in Eden Prairie all these years. Check days and hours before heading over.

Yelp
Trip Advisor and Zagat decals covered the entrance door as we walked into the Baker's Rib establishment. We were acknowledged immediately even when the cashier was helping someone else. The menu is extensive so take your time to review. Someone once told me that if a BBQ joint don't know how to make moist brisket, it's not worth coming back. So that's what I ordered with a side of baked beans and potatoe salad all for the cost of $11.99. Served on a disposable plate and a bottle of warm BBQ sauce on the side. The dining area is like an outdoor picnic and ready to hoedown themed with country music on the over head, colorful lights dangled above us, and more decoration of farm, hogs, and cattle surround us. One bite of the brisket and BOOM! I'm hooked. Best brisket I've ever eaten, seriously. It was moist and melt in your mouth goodness. The potatoe salad and baked beans complimented the brisket so well. I savour each bite of the rib-sticking goodness. They know BBQ and they know how to do it! The best hidden gem in the Twin Cities, hands down. By the way, Zagat rated their food at 27/30. The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed everything, even all the little piggies. I will try the ribs next time!

Cynthia W.

Yelp
At times our brisket was over done. Although, we do like the food. Not the friendliest staff ; that is hit or miss. Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Good BBQ spot. Reasonable prices. Places to sit and nice atmosphere. Decent portions. I ordered the 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket for about $20. Side choices could use a little improvement. No Mac-n-cheese. Corn dish was cold.
google avatar

Donnie L.

Yelp
I only wish we had one out by Chaska - regardless, everything we have ever had from Baker's was 10/10 - FABULOUS. One of the best bbq restaurants in the Twin Cities. Personally I think they smoke Market BBQ. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Mia T.

Yelp
This place used to be delicious. We used to love coming and getting food. Recently, however, things have severely changed. Last time we visited they had their ribs frozen in plastic wrap. They put this in the microwave with the plastic wrap still on (mind you, they used to cook them fresh on a grill). It tasted cold, plasticky and sub-par, not to mention the microwaving technique didn't melt a lot of fat off like a grill does. We were all disappointed - and a little grossed out - with this downgrade and we haven't been there since.
google avatar

Chauncee H.

Yelp
The ribs were solid. I wish they had a little more flavor but they were very tender. The bbq sauce made up for the lack of flavor on the ribs.
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
A previous poster commented "not real bbq" due to the lack of a smoke ring. I'll second his comment but will give a shout-out to the quality and taste of the food. The brisket, sausage and beans were spot on and MUCH better than any other bbq spot I've been to in the twin cities.
google avatar

Debra M.

Yelp
I've driven past this spot for years, even paused as I went into the LeeAnn Chin's next door, but never stopped in - because who gets ribs when they're in the mood for Chinese? Until tonight, searching for something yummy for dinner I happened on Baker's Ribs. I called and ordered takeout, then had to ask them to not have it ready in two minutes because it would take 15 to get there! We ordered two 1/2 rack pork spare ribs plates with beans and potato salad and baked potato and Texas toast. We. Were. Not. Disappointed. First, the ribs are delicious. As other reviewers have pointed out, they are not "fall off the bone" ribs but they easily pull off the bones. As a rib cooker myself, I think the silver skin is left on the rack as I peeled some crispy silver skin off. No harm, just holds the ribs together a bit. Anyway. The cook was perfect, tender, moist, and packed with flavor. I LOVED the accompanying sauce and licked the little container clean. The dill potato salad rivaled my own as did the sumptuous beans. I'm a really good cook, but I would totally order Baker's potato salad and beans for a party! My only critique is that the Texas toast needs to be crispier. That's it. I highly recommend this place when you're hungry for a southern BBQ meal.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Y'all! I only tried this place based on reviews. Being from the south, I'm a BBQ snob. I am so glad I tried this place. So damn delicious, smack your momma good, even. (Don't do that.) I had the pulled pork with baked beans. Perfection! The staff was super friendly, helpful. I enjoyed chatting with them while getting my grub. I don't live in the area but this will be my go-to when I'm there on business.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I was looking around for a dinner place after a day of corporate meals and long meetings. I'm from the South so I wasn't really thinking MN would have some ribs, but I had the hankering to give it shot. I am so glad I did. Baker's Ribs was, as the title says, as good as it gets. I travel all over the SE US and love ribs, so I've had a ton. These were the best I've had in as long as I can remember. I ordered the half rack of spare ribs as the forgettable lunch was still gurgling some. I asked for side recommendations and had to choose between rice/beans (which looked great), some cold sides (which looked good but wasn't tracking) and a baked potato. I went carb load with the potato. The ribs were, in a word, perfect. Super meaty, just the perfect texture (not mushy or fall off the bone - just a little tug and the meat comes sliding off) and smokey goodness. They provide a warm bottle of sauce which, regrettably, I didn't even try. There was some seasoning, a combination of magic, wow, and Mmmmm dusted on the ribs making the sauce superfluous. Rib purists, please don't get upset with me. These were so meaty and the portion so large, I was unable to get the last one down. I didn't want to force it as it would have tainted the cloud nine of meaty goodness I was living on. I didn't see any beer or pay that much attention to other things. I was focused on the meat and glad I did. Go to the strip mall storefront and don't get lead astray by weird Siri directions which bring you to the back. Trust me - it will be as good as it gets.
google avatar

Mohammad H.

Yelp
This is a man cave , literally :) The food is amazing, meat literally falls off the bone and it is delicious. Sides are awesome. Fun part of this shop is all the cooks are guys. This place has lot of different things on the wall that will keep you looking for hours. I was there for lunch and there were about 40-50 people there and they were all guys. The whole hour and half there was not a single female customer. But that didn't stop anyone from enjoying the delicious food. I highly recommend you try the place. I loved it
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
We just flew into Minneapolis for a combination business and vacation trip and ran across this wonderful find on the way to our hotel from the airport. We did a little research on Yelp and we're looking for something that had a fairly decent reading in the Eden Prairie area. We decided to try this place based on reviews and photos, and we're happy that we did! When you walk in the place, there's so much going on with things hanging from the walls or how the beverages are dispensed in an antique bathtub or The Boar's heads mounted to the wall. It's a very eclectic theme and wonderful smells of smoke meats and wood burning, permeates the air. We were a little overwhelmed with the menu offerings and not being hardcore carnivores, decided to keep it simple and go with the chopped brisket sandwich combination plate with a couple sides. We also split a smoked chicken wing appetizer which was wonderful. These sandwiches were wonderful, not your typical sloppy joe, but genuine smoked brisket that is carefully pulled apart and chopped with grain, not mushy. The flavor comes mainly from the smoker, unlike other places that bury the meat it in liquid barbecue sauce, which is often too sweet and overpowering the actual beef. This brisket is all dry rub and smoke. We will definitely be trying this place again sometime when we pass through the area. I highly recommend this to anybody that enjoys a good barbecue or is just seeking a new adventure in a eclectic type of non predictable place. Not like your typical franchise restaurant.
google avatar

Thomas R.

Yelp
I have been there twice. I had the lunch rib special both times. The ribs literally fall off the bone. They are a well seasoned dry rub. Awesome lunch.
google avatar

Larin S.

Yelp
I'm temporarily working in the Twin Cities and staying in a hotel near by this place. I have to admit I was skeptical about this place when I first arrived due to the lack of customers in the dining room. After ordering and setting in the dining room I noticed 10 or 12 customers come in and order to go and 4 or 5 other couples come in and sit down. Very fast and friendly service. And the food was EXCELLENT! I would highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Co-worker and I did take out for dinner. The food was great and very friendly service. We will be ordering again in the near future.

Yelp
I should have adhered to the review of another Yelper: nothing is made fresh; this was the first red flag. They smoke/cook/prep everything for the day, then keep the hot food under heat lamps and serve customers in an assembly line style. Think Subway, but less fresh. The customer service here too is insulting. I called ahead to place a take out order. Halfway through the phone call the employee states with disdain "you know you don't have to call ahead, right?" That was the second red flag. I ignored his rebuff, rolling the dice on this place finally being my haven for BBQ in the Twin Cities area. I yet again find another disappointment. I arrive at the establishment to find my order not only absent, but the receipt containing my order to be inexistent. I proceed to go to the back of the line (why there is a line for this joint I still can't comprehend), and watch as the employees rudely interact with their clientele, as well as act ever so snobbish in regards to their BBQ. I purchased their chicken wings, ribs, beans, and potato salad. The meal came with Texas Toast: -Chicken Wings: Under seasoned, but worse, UNDERCOOKED. -Ribs: Under seasoned. So at least the cook has a theme concerning lack of flavor. -Beans: Tasted like knockoff Bush's Baked Beans out of the can. -Potato Salad: Like the chicken, under seasoned and undercooked. Also, heavy on the Mayo. -Texas Toast: Stale, no seasoning, not even buttered! More than half my food went straight in the trash! In short: poor staff, the food is not fresh, and the food is under seasoned and undercooked. I will not be returning here, and frankly I am surprised they have not been closed due to a health code violation.
google avatar

Kurt M.

Yelp
Finally made it to this lone Minnesota outpost of a Texas chain. I order a rack of ribs and a pound of brisket ala carte. I can see why Baker's has a devoted following. The ribs were smokey and had a just the right tug off the bone. The brisket was moist and flavorful. With the addition of a number of quality BBQ joints and some long time establishments closer to home, I don't see making a special trip to Baker's. But when I find myself out this way (I had my car in for service at nearby Metropolitan Ford), I will likely end up taking out from here again.

Nahbahe V.

Yelp
I wouldn't believe the hype of this barbecue like i did. I love brisket, i love the smokey flavor and seeing the work that goes into a good well made brisket. "Brisket Plate" This was a over cooked, 60/40 dry brisket. It felt like it was under a heat lamp for quiet some time. Good Brisket you can pull apart with ease and watch the juices spill out. This was like eating a pot roast, it was tough and almost flavorless. Texas Toast was pretty much regular toast with a left over smear of butter from another order of toast. I've always assumed everything is bigger in Texas, i guess you have to be in texas for the toast. Smokey Baked Beans, this was actually good no complaints. Decent spice, the beans were cooked just right not too hard not too soft. Overall, after reading reviews i was let down. I would have rather gone to Famous Daves for Barbecue. I would class this in my top 15 Barbecue but not top 10 and definitely not in my top 5. The customer service could use some work, the gentlemen behind the counter was a little rude to a female customer who i believe was picking up an order. His overall performance was that of someone working at a McDonald's who didnt want to be there and was letting everyone know.

Bob K.

Yelp
Some really good barbecue in an unassuming location in a strip mall in Eden Prairie. Taking a refuge from the chain restaurants (Champps, Wildfire, Redstone), we stumbled into this barbecue place. Seems like a family-run spot which takes up two widths of storefront in the strip mall. Typical options including the two and three meat combos and lots of selection from ribs to chicken to pulled pork to brisket. Had the ribs which were tender and delicious and also the brisket. Pulled pork was to see. Overall a really great barbecue experience. Only bummer was I wished they had cornbread. Served everything with Texas toast. Drink options in a cooler and also a fountain and also good sweet and unsweet tea. Only thing that was odd about this place was the decor and lack of music sort of made it feel like you were eating in someone's family room vs a restaurant. Also lots of pig decor. Overall, great. Nice folks and a good delicious experience.

George E.

Yelp
From the moment you step into this place you know you've landed at an outstanding rib joint. Dine In or Take Out the quality of the food and service is unparalleled. Owners Scott & Al are friendly and accommodating. Long time staff are outstanding as well.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
I really liked this place for its authenticity. I got one of the lunch specials of pork ribs, with a side of beans and cole slaw. The ribs were superb. Nicely smoked and the right texture. That's what I base my rating on. There were a couple of minor things I'll comment on, but they're nothing that should stop you from trying this joint: a) as I recall, they have only one flavor of bbq sauce. I liked it and didn't care that there weren't any others. b) the bbq beans had an interesting ingredient that neither I nor my buddy could quite identify. The cook said they actually smoke them for a while; that could be it. Interesting cooking technique for a bean dish... Next time I'll try the brisket -- it looked great, and the patron we asked about it highly recommended it. This is not a fru-fru bbq place; it's Texas roadhouse style bbq, and it's good.

Nick G.

Yelp
We tried to call the Eden Prairie location to place an order for pickup this evening and we were treated absolutely horribly by the person who answered the phone. When we stated we want to make an order he rudely told us that they just do orders at the counter unless its a "big" order. When we said we have big order, he was very agitated and reluctantly began taking our order. After attempting to place our order, and hearing him sigh after every item, it was clear we were not welcome. When we asked when we could pick it up he snapped at my wife telling her she called and should tell him when we want to pick it up. At this point we hung up. This goes without saying, but this is absolutely awful. I suggest you spend your dollars at a place that respects their customers. I can only imagine how many people have been treated this way and that will not be back.

Yelp
This rib joint is a God send to Eden Prairie. Smoked ribs and chicken wings are always good. I've had their ribs many times over the years. Tender but firm with a sweet Smokey taste that makes them one of the best in the twin cities. The battle for goos BBQ is real people and Bakers delivers. The location is tucked away from the main road but not hard to find. The beans and potato salad are good traditional sides and they are done well. It was sad the closed for a few weeks for COVID and really happy they made it back into business.

Yelp
Baby back ribs are my absolute favorite at this place! The sides - potato salad and coleslaw are also really good. Highly recommended as a quick lunch place! They have a good sit down area too with pig decor items.

Yelp
Fantastic BBQ! Alabama boy was pleasantly surprised by this place. Reading through some of the other reviews, see some complaints about the sides not looking like something you would find in a fancy restaurant. If that is someone's only complaint, they seriously don't understand BBQ. Probably eat the sandwiches with a knife and fork too... :P

Yelp
Baker's Ribs is the one and only place in/near the cities, or in MN I guess, that I crave each time I decide I need to eat ribs. And/or potato salad. Not that I would ever really want one without the other. Becaaaaaause their potato salad is ridiculous. As in ridiculously good, obviously. It is more of a dill based salad, rather than mustard-y. Very creamy, and super flavorful but in a subtle way. The potatoes are chopped very fine and I immediately decided as I first tried it, that I prefer it over large pieces/chunks of potato. It blends really well with the dressing that way and it always tastes really fresh. I should've elaborated on my love for their ribs first but apparently I got distracted. To shorten the story, their ribs have been pretty consistently great. They're juicy, M E A T Y, tender and flavorful. Whether you leave off their BBQ or not, they're awesome. I sometimes try to use sauce on every other rib if I am focused enough, cause I do like it quite a bit myself. But it's easy to get carried away and forget everything else. And if that happens, so be it. Oh, lastly, the toast! The toast is so so good too. Not sure what makes it so tasty. I always think I will ask for additional slices but I know that a half rack of ribs + potato salad is plenty. Baker's Ribs rocks. The end.

Yelp
- Food is consistently good here and I always try something different. I like the rustic atmosphere which puts me right in the heart of Texas... I think that's where I'm supposed to be. Anyway. Good portions, awesome sauces, pretty straightforward. What keeps them from getting a perfect rating is that they run out of the lunch special so quickly. Like, why not have more? When I walked in you weren't that busy and it was only 12:30pm. How you runnin' out of stuff already? Does that mean it was just leftover stuff from yesterday? Who knows, but running out of TWO lunch specials on the same day that early in the day seemed odd. I still ate there though... and I will again.
