Patisserie

We had the pleasure of visiting the patisserie this weekend and loved the friendly nature of all the staff. We weren't able to try any of their cakes due to the presence of gelatin but Diana made us feel so welcome that we will definitely be coming back if not for pastries then definitely for the service! In today's fast paced environment, especially in a touristy area like Seaport it is rare to find such exceptional customer service. Diana took out the time to go over the ingredients and explain what we can have based off of our dietary needs. We ended up trying the banana cookie and the Gluten-free Chocolate cookie. The banana cookie had a lovely texture that is hard to come by - I'm a baker so I could tell it was made with skill. The texture was a mouthy chew without being too hard or too crispy - it was just right. The taste was similar to Craqelin and the banana really added depth to the carmelly flavor of the cookie. The chocolate cookie was even better (although I'm quite biased as I prefer chocolate). It was not too sweet, had a great texture and the pools of chocolate carmel added the perfect touch. I am quite picky so I was very impressed with Diana's customer service and her willingness to explain all the components so I would have the best experience. We left feeling quite pleased and will definitely be back. Diana should be promoted! P.S. we also got the French Onion Croissant which was MAGNIFICENT! Crispy, perfectly seasoned and those layers of caramelized onion with cheese truly tantalized our tastebuds. Needless to say this place is a must try!

Really delicious baked goods. The focaccia and the cookies were fantastic. I recommend grabbing some treats to go after dinner at one of the great restaurants in the Tin Building.

Beautiful place. A lot of options. This cake I ordered is very sweet (could be way less sweet! Please reduce the sugar). I could not finish this cake. The croissant and the cheese cake is perfect. The coffee is really “soft” and good. Well done! Certainly we will come back, but I will not get the cake again😅.

The place is very nice, I went to get a hot chocolate and the guy at the counter told me they didn't have any. Besides that, I was ordering other food items and they didn't even ask me if I wanted them "to eat here or to go." So I went to the front where the barista who spoke Spanish was, and I asked him again to be sure, and the very kind young man told me that "yes, they did have hot chocolate." So I stayed because of him and even bought more food, but again, they gave me the things I ordered cold, the second lady didn’t ask me if i want them warm up, I couldn't enjoy eating them. This happened at night on a Monday. It's a shame that such a nice place has that kind of service. I don’t understand why that was necessary to lie to me, the first guy told me “we don't have any more chocolate” in a rude manner, knowing that it was cold outside.

Design success. The market is a well designed “themed” commercial effort which caters mostly to the tastes of the local rich but doesn’t actually create a sense of exclusivity or snobbery. The public atmosphere was fun and exciting as all nicely designed places should do. The interior designers here clearly earned their keep. The pain au raisin and cortisone was nice enough but nothing to go out of your way for. The service was friendly. With a few minor spots of untidiness and left over trash (things which stand out in a space that’s otherwise squeaky clean) there was not much to complain about. If you’re roaming around the area it’s a nice place to drop by.

Very good bakery. Croissant was right on with texture and flavor for American. Have not try the real French style, so I can’t tell. Baguettes is nicely baked and texture is just right, not to dense or chewy. Wished it could warmed up for eating on the spot.

Loved visiting the Tim building. My friend loves this bakery because she is obsessed with the key lime pie there. It was delicious! I got the hazelnut cake and that so decadent. Highly recommend

This Bakery inside the Tin Building has a good variety of desserts. The service is fast and efficient. I recommend the Honey Cake, it is 😋. The Chocolate Passion Fruit tart is good also. It is a little pricey but that's to be expected in this area.

Food (5/5): Decent portions for the crepe. I ordered the roasted turkey one for $10.50 and it was quite good! I also tried the Nutella creme from my friends and they were delicious too. Overall solid food. Service (4/5): No line when I came and they started making the crepe as soon as I ordered. The server helped answer my questions with no issues. Ambiance (4/5): Inside a nice food court type area with plenty of seating and pastry shops.

In the patisserie, there are tables where you can sit and relax with your delicious French pastry. I had the the chocolate on chocolate layer cake individual serving. I pointed at it in the case and voila! And as I sat there with rich chocolate on chocolate, I enjoyed it.

I asked the lady at the counter for some recs and she was extremely knowledgeable in knowing what bread was best for what including her own personal favorites. I purchase the sesame bread and it's the softest, flavorful bread I've ever had. If I could rate it 6/5 stars I would just because of how could it is. You can taste the clean ingredients and the homemade taste of it. It was worth the $12 and I might have to purchase all my bread from that location. Picture is me eating my fourth piece of bread. Not pictured is me eating two more slices because I couldn't get enough of it.

I decided to stop by and treat myself to a sweet treat. I purchased two giant cookies, banana and chocolate chip. My friend also purchased some treats as well. I've never eaten a banana cookie before so I was excited. It was moist, delicious and a little too sweet for my liking. However, they were both good and I enjoyed eating them. This business has been in operation for two years now. Customer service was excellent. I believe that they have something for everyone. The breads and pastries look delightful. I would stop by again in the future if I'm in the mood for sweets.

Purchased an iced americano and matcha blueberry muffin from here. Both were done right! I was really impressed with the variety of options for pastries and the quickness of making the drinks.

Once again came back for the croissant! My friend was a huge fan too! I need to come back to try the other pastries

I'm not exactly sure whether it's surprising that there's an excellent French patisserie at the Tin Building being that it is associated with Jean-Georges but it was even better than either of us expected. I went here with one other after going to The House of the Red Pearl, a Chinese restaurant upstairs, as we were both unsatisfied with the slightly overpriced desserts there. We decided to share the Pistachio Paris-Brest which is a fun take on one of my favorite French pastries as we both like pistachios and said pastry so this dessert was a no-brainer. Said dessert is described as having a rich pistachio pastry cream filling & crunchy pistachio praline and dusted with powdered sugar. The dessert was massive and was $18 and is easily shareable for three or two with an appetite which makes it pretty worth it. The pastry texture was the proper mix with a good crunch to the top with a softer inside. Below the top dusted layer is a generously filled layer of said pistachio pastry cream which is a tad rich with a very strong pistachio flavor. On the bottom is the other layer of pastry which is covered by said crunchy praline which has a nice texture as well. Really not much to complain about. Yes it's expensive but it's massive and clearly shareable for multiple people. The only complaint I can make is that it's a bit too rich but it's a French pastry so it's partially expected. Would go back and get this again or try one of their other excellent looking pastries. Mid 4/upper 4.

Had a gluten free cacao nib chocolate cookie with caramel globs that was incredible! Tasted like a caramel brownie in cookie form, with that nice crinkle top. I hope they make it a regular item!

This bakery has very unique dessert options that I have never seen or tasted. I got the banana cookie and the last raspberry cookie (which a man tried to guilt me into not buying because he said it was his favorite), after eating the cookie I understood why. I highly recommend it! The service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was chill. If you want to sit and enjoy, they have seats as well!
