Bakery - The Italians

I was craving a typical Italian breakfast so I traveled one hour to try this bakery since from the pictures their cornetti looked legit. Unfortunately the experience has been one of the worst I've ever had, they should be ashamed of calling themselves the Italians. We paid almost £20 for two incredibly dry croissants (one pistachio and one with some chocolate/hazelnut spread which didn't taste like Nutella), two cappuccinos and one babyccino which came without cocoa as apparently they run out. Coffee and food were so bad we weren't able to finish - even my toddler was hungry but refused to eat. Staff wasn't really welcoming but I do appreciate one of them trying to find cocoa for us. I could have gotten a cheaper and better breakfast literally anywhere else - from Starbucks to Costa. Their paninis looked good but as far as breakfast goes, I don't recommend at all. Overpriced and bad by any standard.

Fresh food, friendly staff, & a nice atmosphere. I particularly like their cheeses & fresh food corner. I also like that I could buy only 1 slice of pizza, when I fancy it. It’s baked on premise, so it’s always fresh! Their products are not cheap as they come all the way from Italy, but they’re good quality. The photos are from a brunch I had there. Their coffee is too acidic for me, so I got a tea. Paid £14.50 for this. Indoor & outdoor seating & service. Worth a try if you’re in the area!

Very busy on a Subday morning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very tasty and fresh food. I know are Espresso drinkers but to be honest,my coffee was more burnt in taste and bitterybas usual.

The sandwiches looked pretty dated on a Sunday morning. The pizza looked very greasy. The croissants did not look too appealing. Feels like they degraded on quality and the prices are high

This used to be a great place but it has gone downhill. Coffee this morning was poor, pistachio croissant was very dry and filled with a tasteless green cream. I visited at 8am and saw staff putting out yesterday’s sandwiches and pastries which they kept in a plastic box overnight, very poor for a place that was very quality orientated in the past.

The Italians bar in Chiswick used to be a really nice place to come in and have some great (although overpriced) food. We paid £24 for what's in the picture on the table. Sadly that has changed when the place was changed to a "bakery". The Italian staff are gone as well the atmosphere, there is no table service and instead you've got one of those food hall buzzers that beep loudly when your order is ready. The tables are not getting cleaned and the place looks very run down now. If you want a table, you need to clear it. Where in the past you could argue that the price was "worth it", that certainly is not the case anymore. RIP The Italians.

I recently dined at this wonderful Italian place in Chiswick The Italians Chiswick, and I must say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had! The food was absolutely divine, with authentic Italian flavors and fresh ingredients that left me wanting more. Every dish was prepared to perfection, from the starters to the main course. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service. When my favorite green tea was out of stock, the team went above and beyond to ensure I still had a wonderful experience. They brought out two different cups of tea with different flavors, allowing me to enjoy a variety of choices. It was a small touch, but it made a huge difference and truly showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend this place enough—whether you’re in the mood for great Italian cuisine or simply want to experience outstanding service, this is the place to go in Chiswick. Does anyone understand what's happened here? The Italians used to be a warm, buzzing local staple with deli and coffee, pasta, pantry, everything together. Now it's an empty shell - vibe is completely different, food is completely unrecognisable Vs what they were serving previously. New management? I'm really puzzled with this one...
