A wonderful bakery tucked off the street. They have such a fun variety of options and I love their selection of macarons. They create new flavors each month and I had a blue sour patch macaron which was incredible. I also really enjoyed their gluten-free brownie which was perfectly chocolatey. The staff here are incredibly kind and really helpful in providing recommendations!

Google
Hidden gem for sweet treats in Georgetown! I got the gingersnap cream pie and salty caramel vanilla cupcake. The cream pie was sooo yummy & the cookies were soft. They had a lot of vegan options too so I will be back for those. I loved the ambiance in the back patio area, very peaceful. It’s also nice that south block (surprisingly amazing coffee for cheap) and a few other spots are in this mini union market-like space. Bonus: order ahead via the toast app to get rewards points!

I'm glad I was able to support this business after a tough fire that brought in a bunch of smoke into their establishment! When I arrived, there was the distinct smell of soot/ash, and they had fans running to try to air out the smell. It'll be a while before it goes anywhere though. That being said, the workers were extremely friendly and I chose to try their cold brew with oat milk and the snickerdoodle! They didn't upcharge for the oat milk which I LOVE. DOWN WITH THE VEGAN UPCHARGE! The cold brew was yummy, but I was a little disappointed with the snickerdoodle. It tasted and looked more like a sugar cookie than a snickerdoodle, and it didn't have nearly enough cinnamon in my opinion. There are a bunch of shops in the location of the Georgetown Bakeshop, so I think this is a wonderful place to come with friends to hangout! I'll be back to try the other goodies!

Google
MY ABSOLUTE NEW FAVORITE PLACE!! So a friend and I actually “bumped into here” on accident! We were trying to go to Baked & wired, thank goodness we did!! We went on opening day and they were sampling a ton of items! EVERYTHING IS VEGAN and a ton of GF options I tried Vietnamese Coffee for the 1st time, and my life is changed😍

Google
Absolutely delightful spot to get your afternoon (or morning...no one's judging here) caffeine and sugar fix! Despite living in the Georgetown area for the past four years, I somehow never managed to make my way down to Bakeshop until today, but...wow...that's going to have to change ASAP. Bakeshop is easily now one of my favorite bakeries in the area, which, considering the downright outrageous number of cupcake shops this neighborhood has, is pretty impressive. It not only offers a wide selection of cupcakes with both classic favorites and creative new flavors, but they also have macaroons, cookies, and so many other sugary delights. To sweeten the deal further, they're also super accommodating of people with dietary restrictions! My favorite part of their menu is the little chalkboard sign that says "Vegan? We've got you!" because they really do have your back! Their selection of vegan cupcakes is certainly a bit smaller than their regular cupcakes, but I'm honestly so grateful that they have a SELECTION, whereas most places I visit just have one, super generic chocolate or vanilla vegan option and that's about it. They also have a bunch of fun vegan cookie flavors (I mean, who doesn't want a oatmeal blueberry, brookie, or salty oatmeal apricot cookie???) and even vegan cream pies and vegan ice cream cookiewiches. The gluten-free side is a little bit less exciting, but there are still plenty of options: nearly all of their 50+ macaroon flavors are gluten-free and they have a few gluten-free chocolate cakes and brownies. They only have one option that's both vegan and gluten-free, but I was honestly so shocked and grateful to be able to find even a single item...and it was absolutely delicious, so I really can't complain! Their vegan, gluten-free almond chia chocolate bar was absolutely delicious and was not overly sweet, so it would pair perfectly with a bit of dairy-free ice cream or, as I had it, a frozen banana. It was admittedly a little bit crumbly, but it was still delicious and perfectly satisfied by sugar craving. Whether you're vegan or not, gluten-free or not, Bakeshop has something deliciously sweet and decadent for you! It might be a bit tough to find seating, as Bakeshop shares its space with a few other shops, but it's located right next to the Georgetown Waterfront Park, so you can always take your delicious sugary treat and/or coffee down to the riverside and enjoy the scenery with your snack.

Google
What a fun little find here in Georgetown. A NoVa import, we enjoyed four different macarons - chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mint and celebration. While we are divided on which one is best LOL the top two were chocolate and celebration. A bonus cookie - their brownie / cookie fusion was a nice touch. Can’t wait to come back.

From walking in the door to the last bite of my Paris croissant (ham, egg, and swiss on croissant), this was a wonderful experience. The girl who took my order (and prepared the food, laid out the cupcakes, etc. -- she was the only one there) was very friendly and even though they were out of New Orleans Coffee and filled croissants, she offered delicious substitutes. I went with the Vietnamese Coffee, hostess cupcake, and the Paris sandwich. The coffee was so decadent - it tasted like a rich, ice cream-based, coffee drink.but without being overly sweet. The hostess cupcake was perfectly baked (very moist and the filling and icing brought me immediately back to high school vending machines). The Paris croissant breakfast sandwich was delicious, though for the $9 price I would have liked some more meat and cheese. Overall a great experience and I will definitely return to try the NoLA coffee along with their other menu staples!

Google
I ate three of these and my coworkers (all military and definitely NOT vegan) enjoyed the others. Everyone thought they were delicious! Customer service was also superb, the girl at the counter helped me pick out one of each of the best flavors. Highly recommend this spot! They also have cute merch!

Yelp
Stopped by for dessert here after having lunch across town and SO glad I did. Finding delicious (not obvious by the taste - vegan) pastries/cake/sweets is so hard I almost never have expectations when I'm trying new ones out. Today I was so pleasantly surprised. I had read a few reviews mentioning the Vietnamese iced coffee cake so even though the taro caught my eye first (I'll get it next time) that's what I got. The cake was so moist, the icing was rich and decadent, and all of the flavors were on point. Also got a 6 pack of cupcakes to take home, one of every available flavor at the time to try in the coming days. Service was friendly and the window seating provided a nice lil sweet treat moment. Happy to see that there are also locations in Falls Church and Arlington, I'm looking forward to visiting those as well soon.

Yelp
WOW I will be stopping here whenever I'm in Georgetown from now on (they also have locations in Virginia). So many varieties of cookies, ice cream sandwiches, cake slices, bars, etc. The cupcakes are super moist and decadent. Also, all of it is vegan, and they have a bunch of gluten free options, so it's very allergy-friendly. It's also a good spot for breakfast--they have breakfast sandwiches and a pretty big menu of espresso drinks (also Vietnamese iced coffee, my favorite). There's shared seating with the place next door so there's plenty of room to sit down. To top it all off they had free samples! The service was prompt too.

Yelp
Strawberry lemon crème cookies is really good! Also the traditional chocolate cookie is my favorite. We stopped in to get the free cookie offer and we were glad we did! A fun and casual stop in Georgetown. Everything is vegan. Cupcake was great! Service friendly.

Yelp
Tucked away in a little alley in Georgetown. They have a great variety of cake slices, cupcakes, cookies, and coffee, with gluten-free and vegan options! I grabbed a slice of Vietnamese coffee cake (devil's food cake with coffee whipped cream). It was ok - the whipped cream had some coffee flavor but was overpowered by the chocolate cake. However, the texture of the cake and cream was great. The Georgetown location has a wonderful dine-in space shared between a few restaurants. I came on a weekday afternoon and was able to sit down and do some work.

Yelp
This was probably the only place with endless vegan options in DC as far as desserts goes. It was blissfully overwhelming. I asked the SA for what the popular options were. She told me that for cakes the Vietnamese coffee cake, cookies: the Brooke, the chocolate oat cookie, and snickerdoodle and the cupcakes in general. I was eyeing the cake and decided to purchase the first two cookies as well. I sampled some of the Vietnamese iced coffee which was good, but on the sweet side for having with the cake. I ordered an almond milk cappuccino which was fantastic. The cake was alright, the texture was good, a lot vegan cakes tend to be dense but it was like an ordinary cake. The frosting was on the light side. The cake didn't have any distinct taste of spices that I was looking for as Vietnamese coffee and tea tends to have. It was just sweet. I'm hoping the cookies are more promising.

Yelp
Bakeshop Vegan. I think not only the greatest Vegan bakery in the world, but maybe the most wonderful bakery on the planet. You see, no animal parts, just plants and delicious food! Very delicious. Try this place out as a destination when you are visiting DC.

Yelp
I love everything I got here!! I got the cookie with Oreo in the middle and man it was amazing! I got the New Orleans coffee which was super good as well! It is my go to place to get vegan things for my vegan friends! The people who work there are super friendly!! And it's so easy to order and the parking is easy!! It is a fast casual place :)

Yelp
I'm already a huge fan of bakeshop in Clarendon, and this location in Georgetown on point as well. We stopped in for a few cupcakes including strawberry, and vegan cookie dough. The strawberry had the perfect amount of flavor, with a light and airy cake and not-too-sweet strawberry icing. The vegan cookie dough was (unsurprisingly) slightly denser but still very tasty and topped with some amazing cookie dough icing-- definitely a hit! There are some tables inside that are shared with other businesses, but it might be tricky to find seating at a busy time. Staff as always is super kind and friendly. Check Bakeshop out as your next cupcake in Georgetown option!

Yelp
This Bakeshop location is in a great part of Georgetown. I loved how vegan-friendly it was - that is what brought us over after a trip to the Georgetown DMV. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Iced latte was excellent. There were many more things I wanted to try so I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
This is a nice, trendy bakery tucked on the back alley of Grace Street in Georgetown. Overall an OK experience. They produce a variety of baked goods, coffee, and desserts including cookies, cakes, frozen treats and most notably cupcakes. I purchased cupcakes on this visit and while they weren't bad cupcakes I didn't leave wanting more. Again, not a bad experience, however with three other competitors within walking distance from this shop who also serve cupcakes and baked goods I didn't leave feeling a sense that I would return to purchase cupcakes. I would have liked the cupcake to be composed of a better cake and icing quality. It could be that because they produce so many different baked goods they don't necessarily perfect a particular items and certainly not the cupcakes. I'll return if I'm in the area again however I'll try different menu items. Give them a try for yourself. Enjoy.

Yelp
This place has so mant options and smells so fresh as soon as you walk in. Tons of options both for vegans and non vegans, and both options for the same flavors so you don't feel left out or have small pickings. Will be back!

Yelp
The vegan cupcakes were delicious and I would order again. I've never had a vegan cupcake before but after trying Bakeshop's vegan cupcakes, I think I prefer them over regular cupcakes. They were dense, just sweet enough, and the frosting was light.
google avatar

Mimi I.

Yelp
Got the brookie and a New Orleans iced coffee. Both were good! The brookie is a brownie cookie. Chewy and plenty of crispy top, which was similar to the outside of a macaron. The New Orleans iced coffee was strong, as I like my coffee. Presweetened. Shop is located on a quieter street of Georgetown. It also shares space with two other businesses.

Yelp
Bakeshop has mixed opinions for me so far. The cupcakes are okay, but nothing super special compared to the other cupcake options in Georgetown. The macarons are really good but pretty pricey for the size. The coffee is also decent, and a solid option amongst the plethora of coffee options in Georgetown. They also have frozen desserts, which I'm hoping to try soon, including pies, ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, etc. They're located in a building with several other shops, so it's usually pretty crowded/stuffy, and hard to find seating inside unless you're there at an off time.

Yelp
Walked in and was greeted with a smile. The bake shop was bright and colorful... just wakes you right up. I had the Brookie which is the offspring of a brownie and a cookie. I tried some of my partners New Orleans coffee which is comparable to a Vietnamese coffee. The vegan ginger snap cookie was bomb, you can taste the fresh ginger and it remains on your tastebuds. Lastly I tried some of the confetti' cupcake. I must say none of these items didn't make me feel like I ingested too much sugar! Will return

Yelp
This is a really nice after-dinner stop! Even on a busy Saturday the store was still clean and neat. There's a half dozen seats so it's best to grab-and-go. There is a wide assortment of baked good to choose from (including the boldest food-colored macarons I have ever seen!). There is also a nice assortment of vegan options and some dog treat options. Outside of the vegan stickers, no other allergens were clearly marked. $4.25 for a standard sized cookie is definitely on the expensive side but for a treat once in a while it is definitely worth a stop by.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
Their New Orleans iced coffee tastes like some of the best Vietnamese iced coffee I've had in my life. Perfect balance of smoky bitterness and sweetness. Unfortunately it is extremely caffeinated (I drank half in the morning and couldn't fall asleep at night) so I tried their version of Vietnamese iced coffee the next time, as the employee told me it's not as caffeinated. It's much sweeter/dairy-forward and still has a lot of caffeine but at least I could finish the whole thing without becoming too wired. Their coffee is soooo good and my wallet would hate me if they had decaf versions of their signature drinks.

Yelp
Very nice staff greeted me on my 8//11/2022 @3:20p visit! I was parked a few blocks away, set meter only for 30 minutes so I was a little hurried because I was meeting a friend on another reservation in the area. Nevertheless, friendly staff was so sweet knowing my predicament. I then added $4.60 on the meter. In the end; however, I got an expired meter parking ticket but it was okay for the nice staff was super friendly and served me a very strong coffee and recommended her very own favorite cupcake and both was worth every $30 parking that day (plus $1.00 20- minute and additional $4.60 2-hr max I thought I could tack on but to no avail...) The stand out for me at this bakeshop was customer service, and of course, followed closely by the assortment of cupcakes and other sweets. I would have to stop by to try their other goodies next time i'm in the area, for sure!

Yelp
I stopped into Bakeshop once again, this time to pick up a slice of one of their icebox pies. I was hoping to snag a slice of their Peanut Butter Nutella Pie, which was listed as available on their website/order-ahead functionality, but when I went in-person, they didn't have it, so I ended up buying a slice of their Peanut Butter Pie ($6.50). Upon first picking it up, I noticed that it is a DENSE slice of pie. It weighed over half a pound, which is pretty impressive. It's a heavy, peanut-butter-mousse-like filling that's almost bordering on frosting in terms of density, sitting on a buttery crust of chocolatey crushed Oreos, and topped with a vegan whipped cream and small pieces of peanut butter cups. All in all, this pie was solid and decadent, but I really couldn't take more than a couple of bites. It was really sweet, and I found the taste of whatever vegan fat they used (margarine, maybe?) a little too cloying, and that the whipped cream on top were a bit lighter (but that may just be because it was some sort of vegan cream). Additionally, I wish that the crust were a bit more crunchy instead of crumbly. All in all, this was a good slice of pie (probably great by vegan standards), and a great value for the price, since I would have to split it between 2-3 people - (it's that dense) - but it's not something that I would pick again if given the choice. Hopefully they'll have the Peanut Butter Nutella Pie back in stock next time - the chocolate layer would probably provide a nice contrast to the solid block of peanut butter filling!

Yelp
Short story: This was a fun find, affordable for the area, and had high quality cupcakes, cake slices, macarons, and cookies. They also have ice cream sandwiches made from cookies or macarons. The have flavored lemonades, teas, and coffee available as well. Parking is tough (like the rest of Georgetown). So protip - have the driver make a loop around the block while the passenger runs in for treats. Longer story: I came in here as part of a promotion but absolutely could not resist buying several additional items. I got a few cupcakes, a slice of chocolate cake, the lavender lemonade, and a cookie. The pasties are pretty low frill, but incredibly high quality. They had about 12 different cupcake flavors, maybe 8 cookie flavors, and a selection of macarons as well. They also have a selection of cake slices as well as whole cakes available for purchase. The cupcakes had a pretty even ratio of cake to frosting. The cake was rich, had fluffy layers of cake, and rich layers of buttercream. They also have dog biscuits for those with a four legged friend.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT THE VEGAN CUPCAKES!! I'm not sure what ingredient is being used for the cake part, but it was bitter and had an off putting after taste. Waste of $4. The vegan Oatmeal pie cookie was delicious though. I was highly disappointed in the cupcake because that was what my tastebuds were set on but never again will I eat a vegan cupcake from this place again.
google avatar

Lady B.

Yelp
The strawberry macaron and PB pie were solid- not excellent but more like reliably good. But I hate to say that the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was not good. It was stale and tasted like it had been sitting on a counter for a few days. I despise when bake shops sell cookies baked more than a day ago and present them as if they're fresh! I'd try a cake slice next time but will stay away from the cookies for sure.

Yelp
So happy to see that the Bakeshop opened in DC! I was even more excited to see that they had Vegan Day this past weekend. I picked up their vegan donuts, sprinkle cupcake, mint chocolate cupcake, and an ice cream sandwich. I was excited to try that donut for the first time. It was extremely tender and definitely worth a try! Make sure to stop in and try their vegan options. They're the best in the DMV.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet because I go once a week- it's that good! First off- staff 10/10 they are always smiling and are super sweet when I'm taking a hot minute to make up my mind about what I'm going to order (spoil alert- I usually get the same thing over and over but they are still patient with me) Cupcakes- the buttercream red velvet- if that cupcake is there while you are there- GRAB IT IMMEDIATELY!! It's my favorite cupcake and it tastes oh so good! All the flavors are good as well and they are so moist- I one time bought some and after 4 days later thought it would be hard but it was as if I just bought it that day because it was still so fresh and that was probably the only time cupcakes from here lasted so long because they are usually gone the minute we leave the shop Cakes-I also the confetti cake, the taro cake- and I don't like taro at all- 1000/10 and the viet ice coffee cake is super moist, not overly sweet and the perfect end of the night dessert (pictured for my best friends birthday who hates sweets who loved actually ate the whole cake slice) The chocolate pudding- aka dirt pudding from our childhoods-always brings a smile to my face because its super creamy and light! Overall this location is great, the staff and bake goods are top notch and the pricing is beyond fair compared to other bakeries that honestly bring subpar quality compared to Bakeshop- and trust me, I make that 45 minute drive into Georgetown traffic once a week because its that good!

Yelp
OMG! This location is the bomb! I don't come to the waterfront often because of time and how populated it gets but when I stopped by I ended up feeling happy I came. The cashier helping us was absolutely amazing, he was so kind and very helpful with letting us try to Viet Iced Coffee which we ended up liking a bit more than the New Orleans coffee. We also got the browned butter cookie dough cupcake which was so rich, soft, creamy, just so yummy. I also got the croissant with the bacon and American cheese, they ran out of egg which was okay. Parking is tight, we had to pay $12 for about 45 minutes in the garage so definitely try to get there on the metro if you can. If you have a fur baby, Dog Tag Bakery is at the corner of the street before you get to Bakeshop. Enjoy! :-)

Yelp
I stopped by Bakeshop's Georgetown location. It's in a venue that is shared with South Block! They have a beautiful display case to show off their large array of cupcakes, cookies, and macarons. I got the New Orleans coffee, which is very similar to Vietnamese coffee but just "more coffee"/stronger. I love!!!! And pretty good price when compared to other coffee shops in the area ($5.50). A seating area inside to enjoy your drink or baked good too.
google avatar

Yelp
Friend staff, decadent cupcakes! I tried the red velvet and cookie dough. Tucked inside a small market area with an intimate backyard patio. Red velvet had a smooth cream cheese frosting, unlike any other red velvet I've tried. Cookie dough was a vanilla cupcake topped with cookie crumbles and this cookie-dough frosting that was so light and creamy, I thought it was ice cream.

Yelp
This hidden gem in Georgetown is one to check out for sure I discovered it by accident waiting on some friends to go to brunch, it's hidden down an alley but once you discover it and step inside it's a small quaint space that's also connected to South Block Juice bar but it's variety of vegan baked goods pack a punch. The employees greet you immediately once you come in and have a smile on their faces eager to help you. Out of all the different cupcake choices I chose a Biscoff cupcake and a Strawberry Lemonade Cream Pie which somewhat resembles a cookie sandwich. I really enjoyed the cookie cream pie and the cupcake wasn't horrible I just felt that it really lacked a Biscoff flavor to it even with the cookie crumbs on top of it. Overall if I'm ever in the Georgetown area near this place I'll be sure to stop by and check out many of its other vegan baked goods that it contains.

Brian W.

Yelp
Got a latte and wasn't impressed. Maybe it's just my lack of familiarity with vegan options but the latte with the almond milk just tasted more like it was a diluted latte than the normal richness of a latte. Didn't end up trying any of the baked goods, but maybe that was a good thing. Art on the walls was cool, and there were alot of vegan options in general so if you're looking for a vegan option maybe this place is worth a look?

Yelp
On a Saturday afternoon, David and I stopped by Bakeshop for a pick-me up. The Bakeshop sells a variety of macarons, cookies, bars, cupcakes, and caffeinated beverages. We enjoyed an Iced NOLA Coffee, Iced Chai Latte (made with Whole Milk), Very Strawberry Cupcake, and Birthday Cake, Taro, Funfetti, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Fields, Sour Peach, Vietnamese Coffee, and Red Velvet Macarons. I loved how the Very Strawberry Cupcake was moist and had pieces of strawberries in the batter. David's favorite macarons were Birthday Cake, Funfetti, and Red Velvet. My favorite macarons were Cotton Candy and Vietnamese Coffee. Our least favorites were Strawberry Fields and Sour Peach. We were disappointed that the Strawberry Fields only had subtle hints of strawberry. The Sour Peach tasted like a Sour Peachie-O's Gummi but it was a tad bit too sour for us.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Bakeshop since I first tried them in Arlington years ago. They have another location in Falls Church and now in Georgetown. I was in the area and decided to stop by. They took the spot of what used to be Grace Coffee in that little market-like area (think South Block in Georgetown, if that helps). Just as any other location of theirs, they were offering a variety of humongous cookies, cupcakes and macaroons. They also offer coffee drinks and delicious pudding. I've had their macarons and cupcakes before, and I'm a fan of both. The macarons are always crunchy enough on the outside and super chewy once you bite into to. And the flavors are always yummy - I can never decide on just one. I've never really cared much for cupcakes, but won't say no to a cupcake from Bakeshop - that should tell you something. Always fresh and soft, and not overly sweet. This was my first time trying their cookies and I'll be coming back for more. Soft and with the flavor on point. And the employees are super friendly just like at the other two locations. Treat yourself!

Yelp
If you like Viet Iced Coffee -- don't get it here. Stick to getting it at viet restaurants and bakeries. I tried only the Vietnamese Iced Coffee so this rating is only for that. I like Vietnamese Iced Coffee because it is typically very strong, but it is not here. This one is overly sweet and the coffee isn't as strong, like it's watered down or there's extra milk added. It's like what I would imagine Starbucks serving if they put viet iced coffee on their menu.

Yelp
I absolutely love Bakeshop brand and recently had the chance to try their new Georgetown Outpost. The selections of baked goods, desserts and croissants were plentiful. I was craving their amazing pistachio macaroon and bought a dozen for the fam. Their croissant was amazing as well. I was even let in on a little secret, that they would be installing an amazing coffee machine for the freshest most flavorful local coffee to accompany their baked goods. If you want to try classic bakery items without the pretentious or commercial feel Bakeshop Georgetown is a must!

Yelp
I had the M&M cookie from here and it was one of the best cookies I've had. It was perfectly chewy and had the perfect amount of M&Ms! The peanut butter pie was also amazing -- I would definitely recommend getting it! They offer a wide selection of desserts, so there is surely something for everyone! The outdoor seating in the back was perfect on a sunny day, but there's also plenty of seating inside. Good place to study as well!

Yelp
I've been following this company on social media for a few months. I was finally in the area and was super excited to try it. They have a TON of delicious looking options. I opted for a variety; cupcake, cookie, & macaroon. I was not surprised that all 3 were super good! They are definitely SWEET and for sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Albert was very friendly and helpful. I would for sure recommend Bakeshop!

Yelp
A must-stop!! Bakeshop is my favorite bakery in Georgetown. The cookies and macarons are particularly delicious, though you can't go wrong with a slice of cake and one of their iced drinks. Plus, check the freezer for a macaron ice cream sandwich (and have your life changed forever)!! I highly recommend supporting two small businesses at once and pairing the Bakeshop blueberry oatmeal cookie with any South Block bowl or smoothie.

Yelp
I wished to could have visited the BAKESHOP. I had a chocolate Birthday cake delivered to my sons job in Georgetown. The office, Cunningham and Quill loved the cake and it was delivered in perfect condition on a hot June day. Thank you for being there when I couldn't

Yelp
Vegan Dessert Eutopia is what comes to mind when I think of this place. I instantly think of rainbows and sunshine. If I could have ordered every vegan cupcake, cookie and pie and not risk bankruptcy and being rolled out on a food gurney later I would have. When I tell you their desserts were bliss I mean it. #VeganLife is hard. So when I find a spot like this it makes me happy. I was like a man shopping in Home depot. I was like a woman cruising the Target aisles. I won't detail everything I got, because you will judge me and call me gluttonous. Let's just say when the damage was done hubby dropped $100 + tax. The best part? It did not cause me an emission of digestive gases like other vegan desserts that have cane sugar cause me! In closing, I need them to ship nationwide. The next time I'm in Georgetown I will get there when they open and bring exotic dancer bills...lots of them! Sincerely, Your Crackhead Vegan

Yelp
I think Georgetown is one of the hardest places to make it as a bakery because it seems like every block there is a different cupcake shop that draws your attention. Bake shop was pretty good. Honestly, the size of the cupcakes were pretty underwhelming. Some of the other cupcakes places in Georgetown have cupcakes twice the size. Price-wise, I'm not sure how Bake shop compares since I got the cupcake for free. I also got a vietnamese iced coffee. That was delicious. I was also not impressed by the variety of cupcakes available. There were nine flavors to choose from. I feel like 3 or 4 more could be added to the menu. I got the browned butter cookie dough cupcake and my friend got the cookies and cream. The cookie dough one was great, the frosting on top was delicious. The cookies and cream cupcake was nothing special. Nothing specifically bad about this shop, but I'd probably go to another cupcakery if I was in Georgetown.

Yelp
The cakes and cookies are delicious. I wish they had earlier hours so I could try the breakfast sandwiches.

Yelp
Great coffee! Phenomenal cookies and amazing ice cream sandwiches with their cookies and great ice cream! The birthday cake and strawberry ice cream is fantastic in the ice cream sandwiches. And the service is exceptional. Strongly recommend this place for coffee or a sweet treat!

Yelp
Had a salty oatmeal apricot and ginger snap. They were amazing! They even heat it up for you again. Wish I took a photo but we devoured them!

Yelp
I have been going to Bakeshop In Arlington and Falls Church since they opened but I'm especially excited with their newest location in Georgetown because I'm grateful to anyone who brings business to my hometown. Their products are insanely delicious and customer service extraordinary. Family owned and operated, these three bakeries were the brainchild of Justin Stegall and, like everything he does, are done with excellence in mind. He has definitely rounded the bases with his new shop. I recommend it highly.

Beautiful variety of macarons! Tucked away on such a cute block along the canal in Georgetown.
