Summary:
The food is delicious, but the wait can be extreme. I ordered dhal puris and rotis via Uber Eats for Saturday pickup and ended up waiting over an hour, even though I was told “a few minutes.” Orders through the app don’t seem to be prioritized, and the lack of a clear line makes things confusing and frustrating for everyone. Staff seemed stressed, and service wasn’t warm.
The food is worth trying, but I’d avoid weekends—or at least call ahead for a time estimate. Personally, I won’t be back because of how chaotic the pickup experience was.
Full Review:
The food here is delicious, but whether it’s worth the wait depends on the circumstances.
I ordered multiple dhal puris and rotis via Uber Eats for pickup on a Saturday. Since Saturdays are busy and these items take time to prepare, I expected some delay. However, waiting over an hour was excessive—especially because staff only told me “a few minutes” instead of being upfront. Had I not already paid through the app, I likely would have walked out.
It also seemed like they didn’t realize my order had come in until I arrived. I placed it about 30 minutes earlier and only left my house after the app estimated it would be ready. From what I observed, phone orders and walk-ins are currently prioritized over app orders.
The service itself is what you might expect from a Caribbean establishment: not particularly warm, and you often need to make yourself known. If you don’t speak up, customers who arrive after you may get served first. The woman who assisted me had a bit of an attitude - maybe due to the stress. To me, that was problematic because I have the right to be a little annoyed but I wasn’t even showing it—I was just waiting.
The ordering setup also adds to the confusion. There isn’t a clear line, so customers crowd around the counter, competing for attention. Some will stay at the cashier while waiting for their food, so those who are behind them have to work harder. Some people got upset and left, while others’ orders seemed to be paused midway as staff shifted focus to someone else. One customer even had a complete meltdown due to the disorganization.
In my opinion, they should consider pausing Uber Eats orders for now (or at least on the weekends) and bringing on more staff during weekends to handle the volume.
That said, the food really is very good. I’d recommend trying it—but if you what dhal puri and roti on a weekend call and get an estimate for time. Personally, I'm not going back just for my experience while waiting.
