Bakhlava House in Paterson, New Jersey, is a delightful gem that stands out for its exquisite Middle Eastern desserts and inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with the warm, welcoming ambiance that instantly sets the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with soft lighting and charming decor that make it the perfect spot to unwind while savoring a sweet treat or sipping on traditional beverages.
The highlight of my visit was the kunafa, which was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. It’s a delicate, light masterpiece that melts in your mouth with every bite. The shredded filo dough was perfectly crisp, while the cheese filling was rich yet balanced, not overpowering in its sweetness. The syrup drizzled on top added just the right amount of sweetness, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming them. This kunafa truly sets the bar high for any Middle Eastern dessert and showcases the kitchen’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
In addition to the kunafa, the variety of baklava offered at Bakhlava House is also top-notch. Each piece is beautifully crafted, with layers of flaky pastry and just the right amount of sweetness, making them a perfect complement to a cup of Turkish coffee or tea.
The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, a casual bite, or a relaxing coffee break, Bakhlava House in Paterson delivers in every way. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern desserts, this place is a must-visit.
