Balcón de Córdoba, a Design Boutique Hotel Córdoba, Spain

"Balcón de Córdoba is just 65 ft from Córdoba’s La Mezquita Mosque. It features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV. The roof terrace offers panoramic views of the city. The attractive rooms at the Balcón feature tile floors and soft tones. Each one has a sofa and a private bathroom with hairdryer. The staff at the front desk can help booking tickets for guided tours, live shows and other events. The hotel has a bar, and there are 3 patios, one with an orange tree and one with some Roman archaeological remains. The River Guadalquivir is just 300 yards from the hotel. Córdoba Airport is a 15-minute drive away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Balcon de Cordoba (Córdoba, Andalusia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The narrow streets of Cordoba’s labyrinthine Jewish Quarter feel like something of a metaphor for the city’s historical twists and turns. Nestled on Calle Encarnacion, with rooftop views of the old town’s famous mosque, Balcón de Córdoba shows Castilian, Roman, and Islamic influences within its 17th-century walls. Rooms are dressed in warm, simple tones, with contemporary luxury-hotel comforts and either balconies or terraces — given the name, they’re a must. And in classic Andalusian style, the hotel wraps around a series of courtyards; here you’ll find the restaurant, Pairi Daeza, which showcases the commingling of Morrocan and Iberian cuisines." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Balcon de Cordoba | Best places to stay in Cordoba

"You won’t find a better location in Cordoba: on this hotel’s rooftop balcony over the city, you feel as if you can stretch out your hand and touch La Mezquita, only 20m away. Housed in an evocative 17th-century building, its three pebble-paved courtyards are decorated with architectural fragments, flowers and fountains. Rooms, named after goddesses, are plush and serene, in soft neutral and earth tones (Anahita, the junior suite, has the best views and a lovely private terrace). Everything is relaxing, soothing, and delightful, from breakfast and dinner at the Pairi Daeza (‘Paradise’) Mediterranean restaurant in the romantic garden courtyard, to sunset cocktails on the terrace, watching the lights flicker on in the city below. It’s a lovely base for exploring the city, with a simpatico staff who make it feel like a home away from home. " - Dana Facaros

From the moment you walk in and Rafael offers you a welcome drink while he shows you around to the 24 hour coffee service available (for most of our visit Sylvia took care of our food and beverage needs and was WONDERFUL!) we felt very special. We had another couple who rented down the street from us and came to our place for tapas and drinks as well as breakfast and they were treated very kindly as well. The balcony with our room was delightful and the large bed for relaxing was a bonus. Our whole experience was a much needed relaxing stay that was made possible by the fantastic hospitality of Rafael and Sylvia!

From arriving at this hotel we felt welcomed and looked after. We were only staying one night but we were greeted with cold drinks of choice on arrival. Our room was delightful, with so many thoughtful touches- a red carnation on the bed, fruit, mini cakes, toiletries. It was a beautiful room. The setting was delightful with a lovely courtyard for meals. The rooftop bar was also delightful and we enjoyed tapas up on there. I would just like to mention that arriving by car is slightly tricky due to no parking but we walked to the hotel. The hotel is tucked away up a side street and well worth a visit!

Stayed in this hotel for two nights in a twin share room.|Room was very good, with nice shower (in bath) in the bathroom.|Easy access to Cordoba from both front and rear entrance of hotel. Plenty of places to eat nearby or even in the restaurant located in the hotel.|Lovely courtyard where you can sit in the shade and enjoy a cool drink on hot days, which was the case when I stayed.|Staff are outstanding and cannot do enough for you. Young lady even took our luggage to the room upon arrival without asking, service focussed staff for sure.|Breakfast was included and range of food and drinks very good. Again, staff were outstanding.|Only issue we had was gaining access when we arrived. Gate was locked and it took a while for us to notice a button on the wall that we had to press for access. Easy access once we pressed the button and received a complimentary drink on arrival.|All in all, I would highly recommend this Hotel.

We didn't know a lot about the hotel before booking so it was a real treat when we arrived. An old converted convent, it's a small (10 room) hotel that's lost none of the original charm and Moorish influence, a really unique experience in Cordoba. Staff were super friendly, greeting us with a welcome drink and a short tour to explain the building's history. There's also a stunning patio where you can enjoy breakfast or a drink, and a roof terrace with fantastic views of the cathedral. Thanks for such a memorable stay!

We came to enjoy a drink on the terrace, not as guests. Rafa was very kind and accommodating. 100% recommended popping in for the best views of the Mezquita from a higher viewpoint!
