Where to Eat Near Mexico City's Major Museums

"Near: Museo Nacional De Arte After a morning at the Museo Nacional de Arte, walk about 10 minutes to the Zocalo, Mexico City’s main square, for lunch at the aptly named Balcón del Zocalo. It overlooks the square from the fourth floor of a beautiful landmarked building, with impressive views of the cathedral and the surrounding neighborhood. The a la carte menu is eclectic and predominantly Mexican, with things like plump gyozas filled with tender cochinita pibil and octopus tiradito with recado negro. Reservations aren’t mandatory, but making one can save some time, especially on weekends when it’s crowded with local families visiting the area." - guillaume guevara

Diego, Fabian, y Isaac were so great! They explained to us what each plate was and made recommendations. They were all so attentive. Can't gush enough about them. The food was exceptional. Every bite was an experience. Me and my party of 4 chose the chef's selection and I think it was a great choice. The atmosphere was fine dining and came with a great view. Top notch all around.

Google
We had an incredible experience at Balcón. Here’s what we loved: - Phenomenal service: due to the teacher protest we were late for our reservation but they waited patiently for us to arrive; waitstaff was always helpful, quick to refill water/drinks and never skipped a beat with our questions about the menu. - drinks were unique and exceptionally tasty - views of Plaza de Constitutión and the buildings were incredible. - food was top notch! Our group chose to do the pick 3 option on the menu: Tirana ceviche, shrimp taco, filet taco, octopus, tlacoyo tacos, totoaba filet on mole, heirloom tomato salad, rib-eye, everything was absolutely delicious! - perfect portion-size - never felt rushed to finish an item - heaters were flanking our table which helped as the temperature cooled outside. Things I would change if we could: - our choices of clothing! We were right at the front of the balcony which was fantastic for the amazing views but it was quite windy. I would have worn nice pants and brought a thicker sweater. - prepare for a lot of traffic getting there especially if there is a protest going on (we had to walk the last few blocks due to road closures associated with the teachers’ protest).

Google
Balcón del Zócalo offers an exceptional dining experience primarily defined by its unrivaled views of Mexico City's historic Zócalo, including the Metropolitan Cathedral and National Palace. Securing a balcony table, provides a truly spectacular backdrop. The cuisine is modern Mexican, characterized by creative interpretations of traditional dishes and a strong emphasis on high-quality ingredients. Plates are elegantly presented, reflecting a fine-dining approach without being overly formal. Service is consistently attentive and professional. The combination of the iconic location, refined cuisine, and polished service justifies the cost for a memorable occasion.

Google
We did the tasting menu and wine pairing. Absolutely loved it, honestly one of the best meals we had while in Mexico. The service was amazing and the attention to detail was great. Highly recommend.

Google
We did a four course meal here, and every bite was delicious! For those who are more adventurous there are options like ant larvae!! I thought it was very tasty. The wine is also decent & they have lots of options. Not only is the food and service great, the views are spectacular! Definitely a must visit if you’re looking for a nice meal. Be wary of people outside pretending to take you to the restaurant. Ignore them and keep walking into the hotel. You’ll need to take the elevator up.

Google
We were recommended to this restaurant by a local friend whose taste I appreciate. Normally there will be a wait to get to sit next to the terrace. We came in around 1:40 pm on Saturday and we waited for 30 mins to get seated. The wait is worth it. The sitting has a beautiful view of the cathedral and the constitution square, one of the biggest public square in the world. The food is very simple to choose, either the tasting menu which is around $80, with 6 mainly seafood dishes or 4 main dishes comes with 2 starters and 1 dessert. We got octopus and beef tenderloin. The starters are already wonderful so we are pretty satisfied already. The octopus is also very tender and flavorful. The beef is a bit bland. The desserts are well made. Overall it is a very good experience. Only thing is they charge $9 dollar for water, which is a big scam.

Google
Had brunch twice here. Had the salmon avodado toast and vanilla latte the first time. The second time I had the french toast and smoothie. All were very good and filling. The view is really nice, as well as the decor.

Google
It was a beautiful and delicious dinner for our anniversary! I had 4 course menu and loved it! Also, that tequila shot with black caviar was cool! Thank you for making it just perfect!

Yelp
tl;dr: went for dinner, wouldn't do it again; not worth a visit for most folks. +/- overpriced but quality food +/- hectic but pleasant service - poorly timed course delivery Tip: during wet season, opt for a later dinner res so you can actually enjoy the view; they keep the weather flaps down earlier in the evening when it tends to rain more

Yelp
FANTASTIC VIEWS OF ZOCALO from this balcony restaurant perched high above the plaza. Very fancy hotel style restaurant. And very expensive. One look at the menu and we decided to just order drinks. Service was good. But did not try the food due to the price. There are lots of street vendors on the plaza serving tacos and local Mexican street fare. Cheers.
google avatar

Yelp
Wish I would have had my phone to capture the amazing views of Zocalo Square, the awesome roof top dining deck and the incredible food. This is a must visit restaurant in the Historical District. Food was 5-Star. Service was impeccable. And the entire experience was unreal. If the roller doors are down, follow your GPS and ask the doorman. He will let you in the portal door.

Yelp
Great for view and ambience. Good drinks. Food 3.5 out of 5. Mole was not as rich in flavor as expected. Dessert was okay. I got the crème brûlée was a bit bland. Their gelato was surprisingly refreshing. The basil smell was bit strong but good.

Yelp
Now that We've eaten here for breakfast(included with our hotel stay), lunch and dinner, I lowered my rating. Unless you choose one of their full tasting choices, you have few dinner choices. In other words, come very hungry or don't come for some other meal-not dinner which starts at 6PM. I rate the breakfast and lunch, 5 star event. Dinner 4 stars and I am being generous. We did not want the tasting menu, not that hungry, so our default selection was steak pieces on a slab of bread. Tasted like an over cheesy , over priced pizza to us. I ordered a glass of red wine and the pour was short, less than 6 ounces I think. Also come layered up, clothes wise, in case they have the balcony open. Until they decided, too late IMO, to close the balcony, it was very breezy. I was glad I had on a warm long sleeve top. One gentleman gave his date his jacket.

Yelp
Great view and good food. A friend and I dropped in around 11:30am without a reservation and were able to get seated in 15 minutes. The brunch menu had a decent selection and we opted for the club sandwich and enfrijoladas. The only downside was the service; despite having around 5-6 servers on the floor, it took asking three different people to get a soda. That said, if you're near the Zócalo, this spot is definitely worth a visit for the views and food.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on the 6th floor of Hotel Zócalo offering stunning views from the terrace of El Zócalo. A reservation does not guarantee you a terrace view so just an FYI if you specifically want to sit on the terrace. A 500 peso deposit is required that goes towards your service. If I'm being honest the food was not anything to write home about it's the view that really got me here. They do not offer an al la carte menu so you eat from a four course meal. There is a weekly special menu with new items to pick from for independent plates. The service was good but I did order a cappuccino that took 30 minutes and 7 people asking me if I got my cappuccino to get it to me. For some reason my 7:00pm reservation was pushed to 7:30 so I had en extended wait in the lobby. During that time I noticed several people walked in without a reservation trying to get a table and got turned away. But others would walk in and magically tables are available. I thought that was super weird in addition to that they have open availability on OpenTable but claim to be fully booked. Just thought it was interesting to point out if you are looking to do a walk in or get turned away check out OpenTable to reserve on the spot. Overall if you want to see the view and not pay the outrageous price tag show up and ask to sit at the bar. Order a drink and walk over to the terrace everyone was doing it.

Yelp
Walked in without a reservation at around 2pm this afternoon. The space is beautiful and spacious. The view of the zocalo is stunning as well as you can imagine. AFAIK, there is no a la carte menu. You can either choose the full tasting or the menu del dia, which is four courses (a choice between 3 options for each). The price depends on which main you choose. I had the asparagus to start, followed by the octopus taco, the risotto ($650 pesos), and the chocolate dessert. Asparagus was boring and the flavor profiles were weird. Man next to me got the tortilla soup and it looked much better. Octopus taco was excellent - one of the best bites I've had in CDMX. Octopus was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Risotto had a nice flavor but the texture was so off, and the veggies in it seemed incongruous with the dish. Dessert was excellent and was the other highlight of the meal. I didn't have anything to drink; I had thought about getting a glass of wine but the list by the glass was extremely limited. A very poor wine list for a restaurant of a certain caliber. Service was SLOW and inattentive. The meal took forever and not in a good way. For the price I wouldn't recommend. I'd probably give it a 2 if it weren't for the octopus taco and dessert, both of which were outrageously good.

Yelp
We only had one dish while here but the view and decor was amazing! We had the gyozas and even the house bread was fantastic. I wanted to try many more things on the menu but wasn't able to. Definitely recommend this spot though!

Yelp
The stars are for the views and the ambiance of the restaurant, it is a beautiful restaurant with a large outdoor area and the views are amazing. Our drinks were good but we felt the choices were limited. Lots of servers were seen standing, and we had to wait for a few things which wasn't amazing. The food was inventive but it came out cold and missing flavor. I'd come back to have a drink or two and take some photos before a night out.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in here for some great views, food, and drinks. Easily one of the best places to see the beautiful historical district and highly recommend going at night. Do get a reservation because the likelihood of just walking in and getting a table is slim. The food and drinks were excellent we just got light snacks and a drink. The wagyu flatbread was really delicious and got a whiskey sour for my drink. The vibes were great and we also got great service. A great place to check out with great food and drinks and excellent views.
google avatar

Christine W.

Yelp
I tried their 4-course to be able to sample their menu. But you can also order a La carte. The service was fast and the servers were pleasant. It has the view of their historical plaza which you can access after dining.
google avatar

Adam A.

Yelp
The restaurant has beautiful views from the patio. The beef filet was perfection. The menu has a good mix of options. The service left much to be desired. It was slow and not very good. Water wasn't offered, the drinks took long, and only one menu was provided for two of us to share.
google avatar

Hansel B.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast on our last day before heading to the airport. This rooftop restaurant is also part of a hotel. Hotel guests dine here for free (i assume only for breakfast). There is a buffet with pastries, fruit and eggs. There is also an al la carte menu with pancakes and some egg dishes. The food was good, but what really stands out here is the view of the zocalo. Beautiful on a clear sunny day.
google avatar

Winta E.

Yelp
The food here is terrible and it's extremely overpriced. The only thing they have here that's good is the view unfortunately.
google avatar

Jen R.

Yelp
The ambiance was perfect. Posh and chic. Beautiful all around. The balcony is beautiful, worth the visit alone. We shared an appetizer as their menu is catered to full chef service. Worth the trip for the views

Jayme J.

Yelp
TOURISTS BEWARE. Our waiter recommended "tacos" for our group of 7.. Then, Two piles of various meats came out, in the least appetizing arrangement you could imagine. We each had one beverage (margaritas for the girls, beer for the men). The margaritas were terrible. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our bill was about 15,000 pesos, which is over $750 USD. SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY US DOLLARS. It came out to $110 USD per person, for two tacos and one drink per person. An absolute SCAM. We could have had a Michelin star meal for that amount. It should be an ethical crime to recommend tacos to tourists without disclosing the price, and have it come out to $200 per pile of meat. Do not eat here. Spend your hard earned money at the many incredible places Mexico City has to offer.
google avatar

Shahram M.

Yelp
Our expectation was very high. Buy if you get there after sun down and the weather is inclement, go spend you money somewhere else.
google avatar

Tee T.

Yelp
The service is excellent. On par and exceeded expectations. The food is pretty delicious. Everything is done meticulously and with thought. Super tasty menu changes periodically. The ambience is one of their best qualities. You have a view, best view of the Zocalo from the balcony. I definitely recommend coming to have a meal here. It's worth the wait for the balcony. If you get a chance, staying at the hotel is pretty great too. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is just a beautiful place. Lots of greenery, it's like they brought the outdoors in. You are definitely transported into an experience at this hotel and the restaurant. Five stars plus !

Yelp
I am being generous by giving 2 starts to this place. What a waste of money!!! I regret so much coming to eat here. I found this place by looking at some reviews on Yelp , and honestly the view is so beautiful that I fell for it. I chose their Violeta tasting menu. Huge mistake , the food was sooooo baddddd I can't even tell you. The plates had not flavor it was so plain lacking of taste. I knew from the first item I was given that I was going to regret coming here. Additionally the service is so slow , I was amazed by how good the service was in CDMX until I came here. I almost fell asleep waiting for every item from this tasting menu at one point I was just going to leave . please do yourself a favor and don't come here.

Yelp
Always tops Great servers Knowledgeable Accommodating Menu has changed to more of multi course All well though our

Yelp
I went because of the balcony views, but the food also intrigued me. We went during the afternoon, and their only food options were the day's menu or a set menu, both individual and shared. We had a dinner a few hours later and only wanted some appetizers, but their options were VERY limited. We didn't get any food and just enjoyed some drinks. I am not sure why, but I felt like by doing that, we were annoying them, as if drinks were not enough spending to be in the place. Even though we asked for two rounds of drinks, we didn't get the free bread they would give every other table; maybe that was the way they did it, but the attitude made me feel like we were not totally welcomed there. The drinks were good, and the views were amazing! The elevator is also cute; it's such a shame that the service treatment wasn't good enough.
google avatar

Marivel D.

Yelp
First time in Mexico City. My sister made a reservation for her anniversary. It was a total of 13 of us. The service was not good they seemed tired or just careless. The food was not good. I would take bad service if the food is good but it was not good. I had the soup and the fish taco with the meat as the main course and tres leches cake for desert. The fish taco was ok but man what a waste of time and money! The view is nice but not worth the money. We had tacos after.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
The views, the views, the views. Just wow. You can make reservations but we were walk-ins. I strongly recommend a reservation. We arrived around 11 AM and breakfast stop being served around 12:30 so we were worried that we were not going to make it. We waited around 45 minutes to be seated. This place is gorgeous. The aesthetics are everything. We sat down at our table and the waitress approached us to take our drinks. We saw another waitress walking around with a plate of sweetbread and we called it over and we were able to make a selection from their delicious options. We ordered a round of mimosas and a black coffee for me. We ordered Chilaquiles and the mole plate, which were both delicious. The service was great, we were able to get up from our tables and go take pictures from the balcony area with no issue. Even though they were busy, we didn't feel rushed to leave. If you're coming to Mexico and you're looking for a place to take photos and have great food and enjoy the views, this is the place. I will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Jimmy A.

Yelp
First off, this is a truly beautiful location and if your lucky, you can score a table with a amazing views of the Zocalo. Amazing at night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and really has that Michelin star feel. The service is okay...we had to wait and our drinks took forever. I'm not gonna rag too much but I still tipped. The food was good ....great in some cases. My table mate had the price fix and didn't love it all...one course consisted of bread and butter. I had the tlapya with ant eggs...it was truly sublime. The flat bread with steak tasted very boring. The Chinese bread with mango butter was truly great.
google avatar

Fernando A.

Yelp
Great experience all around 5 stars. We stayed at the hotel for a week and ate at Balcon a few times and everytime it was better than the last. By the second dinner all the staff new our names, nationality and drink preferences. Truly amazing. The food, ambiance and dedication to details were top notch. Congrats to Chef and staff

Elaine A.

Yelp
RIP OFF i had made a reservation here but canceled within the appropriate time period. However, they charged me $25 anyway. I would STAY AWAY
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
So we went here due to the view. But if you're Mexican or dark skinned, they sit you in the back. The blonde tourists get to sit on the next to the balcony with a nice view. It wasn't just my table. I saw it with multiple people. Some blondes would show up and grt to sit in the front. Everyone else sits in the back. Also, they take a very long time to bring your food out. The only redeeming feature was the location and view, but I wasn't blonde enough for the view.
google avatar

Kiersten S.

Yelp
Beautiful view but very pricey and not my kind of food. They also seated us after other people that arrived after us and didn't give us menus for a while.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
What a view ! we got a table inside and we were still able to enjoy the view outside. We visited Mexico City back in August (2023) & knew we had to check this place out. It didn't disappoint! This restaurant is found on the top floor of the Zócalo Central hotel. They have free bread service while you wait for your meal. I also looove that restaurants in Mexico City will bring out a table side rack to hold your purse/jackets while you dine. Anyway, I started off with the vegetable soup (Caldo de Milpa con verduras) so good - not too salty or bland, perfect. For my main mean I ordered the Broccoli in white sauce (Brócoli en mole blanco) - it was very filling. Just beware that broccoli is rich in fiber Overall, great experience & amazing views. Definitely a must stop if you're visiting Mexico City! can't wait to be back
google avatar

Lissa W.

Yelp
The service was absolutely fabulous, fancy meal, nice view. The food was beautifully presented, everything was tasty. A little bit disappointed with the desserts, they looked amazing but it wasn't as good as it looked. Restaurant on top floor of a hotel
google avatar

Lianna T.

Yelp
Overlooking the Zocalo, this restaurant has a view worth a visit. However, due to the layout, only around six tables or so can actually be close to the view. While the drink menu is extensive, the cocktails were underwhelming - and we wished we might have skipped. For the main meal we ordered their Caesar salad and sea bass. Both were fine, but not special. The absolute standout of the meal was the dessert, a chocolate concoction with exterior of dark chocolate, interior of lighter chocolate, guava and a breaded wafer. Overall, it was a pleasant meal near city center, but wish the food had been on the high level that many restaurants in Mexico City seem to be.
google avatar

Wendy D.

Yelp
Arrived without reservation, but the host gladly added us to their waitlist. We were told it would be approximately 30-45min for a table but only waited about 10min. My boyfriend and I love to check out restaurants with tasting menus or degustacion menu because they're fun and a way to try foods you would not usually order on your own. Food 5/5 - When we looked at their tasting menu, we were hesitant because there were a few items we were uncertain about. Thankfully, we both gathered the courage and decided to be adventurous! Let me tell you, I am glad we went for it! It was such an exceptional experience with unique flavors! They were all an experience on their own. We both ordered a few (3) Moscow Mules that were delicious and consistent in taste every time! Be prepared to spend about 2 hours if you go with their tasting menu. You can't rush the experience ;) Service 5/5 - The servers, a team of 4 - Emiliano, Joan, Miguel & Bryan, are excellent! They are polite, attentive, clear, and concise when presenting each item on their tasting menu. They brought out a few extra desserts and a couple of shots of our choice for choosing the degustacion menu. Such a wonderful and unexpected gesture. Ambiance 5/5 - The ambiance is pleasant and enjoyable. The restaurant itself is clean, bathrooms are great. I did notice the music was more upbeat once the sun went down. Pricing 5/5 - The tasting menu's pricing is 1500 pesos and is well worth it. We came out of the restaurant satisfied with the service, food, and overall experience. There are so many dining selections in CDMX to experience, but if you're making your rounds to the Zocalo area, I suggest stopping by Balcon Del Zocalo!
google avatar

Lorenia W.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant! Very trendy and in a beautiful location with beautiful views day and night. I traveled solo & was lucky to get a spot, so I don't recommend coming on a whim. Make the reservation! The staff made this an experience for sure. Always someone close by to refill beverages, clean the tables off, and suggest you to not shy away from enjoying the view. I got here a little on the later side so I enjoyed sipping on a couple of Jaibols. Yum!! I'll be back for the food because all I saw were empty plates being cleaned off tables. Another sign that I missed out, but not forever!
google avatar

Lilly R.

Yelp
Since I planned my visit to Mexico this was an Hotel/ Restaurant that I was looking forward to being my family. Super great location, outstanding service, the views are definitely to kill, I can tell by the people there that is a trendy spot. Great taste, the whole decor is a reminiscence between old and faddish, I fell in love with the bakery, but unfortunately at 9am they were out of bread, conchas and croissants : ( The food was ok, nothing out of this world, the drinks as well. Luckily is a lot of options in downtown Mexico! Maybe the next trip we will stop here for supper or not.
google avatar

Katherine V.

Yelp
Just good for the view! Food was ok in some courses and not edible in others, the only good food was the chicken my kids had. Menu was very limited (even thought the week before I had contact them and asked for menu and they sent me a lot of options). Service was not good either, our server was only trying to sell the most expensive option and didn't even wanted to give me options for the kids, while my friend on another table were getting options for their kids so I actually had to push my server to offer me the same. He seemed bothered with questions, other people around didn't seem helpful either, there was also a guy like telling over a headphone where to seat people, or clean tables, etc he was loud and right next to us so we had the background experience of the seating organization. The place is beautiful and the view its really amazing, I don't think I would come back here but if I did I would only go to the bar for a drink, take a picture and not eat...
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
SCAM!!! Food has no flavor, drinks had no alcahol and there is a hidden service charge. DO NOT RECCOMMEND, AVOID!!!!
google avatar

Rosalia S.

Yelp
Food is delicious, buffet style and great variety. Service it great, food servers are friendly and helpful. The ambience is full of happy people on vacation with cool and calm vibes!
google avatar

Grant L.

Yelp
I ate here on Saturday, April 27th and I got food poisoning within an hour after leaving the restaurant. It took me a full 48 hours to recover which means losing two days of my vacation to Mexico City and going through the misery of throwing up for 12 hours straight. The ambiance is nice here, but not worth getting food positioning over.
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place and will keep coming back every time I'm in CDMX. This time around I got a Caesar salad and tortilla soup and I'm honestly going to be dreaming about the two items for years to come. They are just so good at what they do and they know how to make a meal. I cannot say enough great things about the ambiance, the food the service everything is just exceptional.
google avatar

Stacey M.

Yelp
We arrived at sunset so that we'd be able to watch the transition into the sparkling city night lights. That part was definitely worth it. I did note that there were very few seats that have a direct open view. The walk through the hotel to the 6th floor restaurant is insanely beautiful. Especially if you manage to inconspicuously wander around a bit. In line with the hotel, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I often share food so we ordered the tortilla soup, a Caesar salad, and a steak dish. Sharing saved us some pesos, because this was definitely the most expensive place we've been in Mexico City so far. The tortilla soup was excellent, Caesar Salad was good, and the steak with pureed potato and asparagus was fair. We asked for medium well but the inside was extremely pink, so perhaps we should have asked for it butterflied? All in all, a beautiful experience.

Yelp
I am only giving this a 2 star review bc I had no service. The drinks were really good and i was excited to try the menu. The server was eager to get me to order food as i barley sat down and I had only read this weeks specials. I told the server politely and with a smile to give me a minute and that i would be ready to order a couple things off the menu. The server kept walking past me talking to the bartenders and avoiding to cone back and take my order. I obviously closed the menu, looked around the place to get them to notice i was ready. I also put my phone down and noticed they werent planning on asking me if i was ready or if i had questions. I left after 20min of sitting at the bar. I was more upset that I had to put my card down to give the social queue that i was ready to leave. I had to tell the bartender that i was ready to check out. And i was never asked if i liked my drink (which i did... a lot). So it was disappointing that the quality of the food doesn't match the service. Coming from someone that works in restaurants for 10+ years and in fine dining... this was not some place i would go back home and tell my friends to go to. Also they might have judged me by my outfit i was wearing (jeans and a hoodie) but regardless, you never avoid a guest.

Yelp
That view bruh! Let me tell you, El Balcon del Zocalo is an experience you won't forget. From the minute you step into the hotel, hit that elevator button, and glide up to the reception area, it's just...wow. The modern vibes, the clean lines, it's all so on point. And don't even get me started on the restaurant - the design is like something out of a dream. Plus, those fresh-baked bread smells and signature cocktails? Total game-changers. And when you finally lay eyes on that Zocalo view, trust me, it's something you'll want to share with everyone - your partner, your family, the whole crew. Now, about the food? It was good, sure, but those drinks? They were next level. I went for the tacos de suadero, and they were decent. But being a Mexican foodie, I've got high standards, you know? So, take my little critique with a grain of salt, okay?

Yelp
We went here for my birthday on a weekend morning and had the brunch. You were able to also order a few items off the menu. I ordered an omelette and make it the way I wanted . Great place for those photos with a great view. Waiters service was great too

Yelp
Had a comically wonderful welcome dinner here with friends to kick off our holiday. My spouse came a few years ago for drinks, so we were both excited to try their Autumn Tasting Menu which the whole table had to agree on. Despite some initial hesitation from one person, we all ordered the special tasting menu and none were disappointed. Each dish was excellent and interesting. A worthy 5-star meal. The setting and atmosphere are wonderfully exciting, very chic, and definitely sophisticated. You could easily be fooled that you were in New York or London - however here you can overlook the grand Plaza de la Consitucion. I highly recommend securing a table next to the window to admire the views - this may mean coming early for dinner. We had requested it but ended up being seated towards the back of the restaurant. Overall the service was good - there were some gaps when it came to ordering drinks and getting started, but then it seemed to iron out. The place was completely packed and our lead waiter was clearly juggling a lot. Thankfully a manager stepped in to assist. I really enjoyed the experience and would come back again.

Yelp
The four stars is mainly for the service. The staff was great. The steak that was ordered wasn't the greatest but had delicious moments. Not a fan of the beer I chose due to one of their IPA's being out. The view was beautiful.

Yelp
Came back after couple years post pandemic, this place is really popping and definitely need to reserve in advance. I requested on the front balcony seat on the reservation note but they put us all the way in the back. The service was horrible, our waiter gave us so much attitude. Barely check on us. And he didn't even take everyone's order for drinks then walk away to do something else. Hard to get anyone's attention to order anything else. Some staffs are standing around doing nothing, even I asked for a drink menu it took 3 asks and 10mins just to get the menu. We had the autumn tasting menu which the whole table have to participate. The food is great, each dish is small portion so it's a perfect amount of food. Although I didn't like the duck breast it's really raw and chewy.

Yelp
The service and ambiance have to be first. We were fortunate to have been seated at the outer area overlooking the Zocalo. The sights and sounds of Mexico's premier square flowed into the very refined and luxurious balcón. The service was every bit as dedicated to raising to the level of the ambiance and it did with it attention to every detail. With a 16 month old, they don't have this on the menu and were not obligated to do so but they steamed some veggies for him. The staff was very personable and very kind. They were no stiffs when it came to presenting the chef's courses, they were very efficient and basically flawless, they also were very conscientious. We were given not an appetizer, but a gift from the chef and at the end of the meal, they surprised all of us by sending out a sorbet dessert for my wife whose bday was weeks from now. The food was wonderful and delectable. My daughters were so psyched about their entrees they immediately wanted all us to taste what they had. It was an experience for sure!

Yelp
Todo estaba sabroso. El servicio, la vista, y la comida. Toda la experiencia. Fui en mi cumpleaños.
