"Balcone is where you go when you want your date to know that you’re like, really cool and own at least one pair of corduroy dungarees. Oh and yes, you do listen to Animal Collective, thanks for asking. This bright and modern coffee spot near Victoria Park always has a great playlist on the speakers, proper coffee available, and enough house plants dotted around for you to start up a conversation about your mutual love of cacti. I was looking for somewhere different to grab some coffee from and noticed Balcone was highly rated and on my route. Really friendly staff who showed me their fantastic selection of products, including alcohol free beer 🤩 My husband says the coffee is delicious! Thanks 🙏

This place is perfect regardless of what you're looking for, atmosphere, style, coffee, food, wine, ALL BRILLIANT. My favourite. Highly recommended the Saturday grill. Really reasonably priced too. It's a pretty chilled vibe and also very lovely. Can't fault it.

Best coffee around! The owners are super friendly and down to earth - good people - really care about quality products and ingredients. The homemade baked goods are top notch, I will always crave the choc-banana bread. Great knowledge of their wine selection, always make a great recommendation when we’re unsure. The fridge is always packed with a delightful selection of beers - my goal is to sample them all. Would rate them higher if only I could.

It's simply one of the best coffee shops in Hackney. Really, they do great coffee. It's also a carefully curated grocery, where each bottle of wine, beer and food is chosen with a keen and discerning eye. The owners are lovely people, proud to call it my local coffee shop!

Love this place ! Great salad and special events for foodies. Amazing coffee too. The couple running the place are so welcoming and passionate about what they do, the products they promote are often from the community. You can tell their heart and soul goes into what they do and this is equally reflected in the quality of what they have to offer on their menu. Not sure what their secret ingredient is in their chicken sandwich but would highly recommend anyone trying who intends to visit. Thank you Balcone for making every visit a pleasure and an experience, will always come back and be a loyal customer.

When it comes to coffee in this area, it's hard to get something reasonably priced, fast and most importantly... tasting exceptionally good. Every other coffee shop in the area suffers from either poor tasting coffee, lines out the door, slow service, rude staff... the list goes on. Here at Balcone, you get quality coffee that leaves you wanting more. So support your local coffee shop, get away from the chains and tuck into some quality beans. They also do Wine of an evening... I'll report back about that one. **yep wines bloody great**

Amazing place with a beautiful garden and very friendly, welcoming owners. As a coffee lover i can tell you it was one of the best espressos i have ever had very smooth and served in preheated espresso cups. This is now a regular spot for coffees and delicious snacks, i would recomend all coffee lovers and locals to pay a visit.
