I have had a very memorable night in Copenhagen! As we walked in, we greeted with super lovely staffs very friendly, laid back with good humor and easy to talk to. When you have questions about cocktails, they have answer for you. Very interesting taste of cocktails and atmosphere also really nice. The bar is not very big but super cozy inside. But I'll give hospitality 100/10 will definitely be back and bring loads of friends 😆 Recommended!!!

I was pretty nervous visiting a bar alone for the first time, but the moment they opened the door with insanely joyful smiles, I knew I was in the right place. The vibe is cozy, and the drinks are incredible. When I saw the ingredients, I was like 'wha…?' but seriously, trust the bartenders. That first sip was just WOW. It was such a great experience that I’m actually coming back again this evening!

we were just happened to be walking by, saw the place. It reminded me of “The Experimental Cocktail Club” of Paris and got in and wasn’t disappointed. The barman was nice, drinks were super tasty. Highly recommend.

Loved this place so much had to go back a second time. Great Speakeasy with incredible drink menu, frozen Espresso Martini was delish! Robin is an awesome bartender and the entire staff made me feel like Norm in Cheers when I returned!!!

Fantastic speak easy bar, the bar tender and waiters were very friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were fantastic, the Old Fashioned went down very smoothly and my partner had the Blonde Ambition which she absolutely loved! If you want a welcoming, speak easy bar with a great vibe and fantastic drinks I would highly recommend a visit!

Balderdash is a great cocktail bar serving delicious and creative drinks. We especially enjoyed the ones called Zombies, which came with fire and added a fun twist to the experience. A great place for unique cocktails and a lively atmosphere.

This is a great bar. Cool atmosphere, amazing cocktails, friendly staff. Expect about $25 per cocktail.

We saw this place featured on a TV show and wanted to check it out - we were kind of expecting a packed, touristy, overpriced bar. Balderdash was none of these things! The service was amazing - they asked our names and used them for the rest of the night. The drinks were SO GOOD and like nothing we've ever had (and we like to drink ). I would highly recommend Balderdash if you're in the area and looking for unique, quality drinks with good atmosphere and GREAT service!

I cannot say enough good things about Balderdash! The drinks were truly incredible, and if you are in Copenhagen because you are trying to experience the dining scene it's one place not to miss. Our group went back to Balderdash twice, and between us tried literally the entire menu. Not a single drink was anything less than delicious, and some ranked among the best things I've ever drank. The horseradish daiquiri immediately took me back to Passovers as a kid, but somehow was extremely balanced, and even a bit sweet -- it was unexpected in the best possible way. The midnight oil milkshake was sweet, savory, umami, and probably one of the seven wonders of world. Balderdash is a tiny dive bar without a lot of seating, but our group had no issue getting in around 11 PM on weeknights. There's a quieter basement downstairs, and a more lively upstairs. All the clientele appeared to be tourists -- and I can't figure out why locals don't visit here more often. I'm American and found the other Americans to be pretty obnoxious, but, it's totally worth braving that for the drinks. Overall -- Balderdash is a must. Easily top 5 cocktail bars I've ever been to.

fun cocktail bar, really solid cocktails. we sat in the back room which was a lot of fun, different music from the rest of the bar and less hectic. tried four cocktails and would order them all again

Came here via a YouTube recommendation and it did NOT disappoint. When you step in, you're greeted heartily by staff members who make you feel warm and welcome. I was seated immediately at the bar, where it was nice to watch the masters at work. There were also many customers who were regulars I started with a classic drink - the blond ambition - not overwhelmingly sweet, refreshing, and very nice to sip on. It was so good that I decided to get a second drink - Les enfants sauvage, recommended by one of the bartenders. Also fantastic - like drinking a dessert (sorbet?) in the best way possible. Also, whoever was responsible for the music playlist did an amazing job.

Is it possible that one becomes so great that they forget the customers who make them shine? After all the high ratings and reviews, we wanted to witness all the hype. Not only did we receive bad service, with no one taking our drink order for 10 minutes on a quiet night, but they did not even know how to make a classic Negroni correctly. We stayed to try a signature drink which was decent but not worth the praise.

Good god, what I would give to be less than an 8-hour plane ride from this place. We came in on a weeknight, were seated at the end of the bar, and proceeded to drink two of the best cocktails we've ever tasted. The drinks here are incredibly intricate and perfectly balanced. The one I chose was sweet like a dessert. I savored it. We got to watch the bartender make the drinks and it was a blast to watch. I would recommend this to anyone who will listen.

This bar does not deserve all the kudos. We have been to bars around the world and this one had bad service and not so great drinks. Someone lauded this place as the NOMA of cocktails. Well, I've been to NOMA and it's not even in the ballpark. Very disappointed.

Balderdash is one of the most incredible bars I've ever stepped foot in. Whoever is coming up with these drinks is an absolute genius!!! The staff was absolutely stellar, super attentive service they truly went above and beyond the entire time. The vibes of the place are lowkey and fun with a crowd that was super friendly and attractive. 10/10 a must visit.

This bar is phenomenal. We went on a Wednesday night so the wait wasn't too long. Service was fantastic- Pasquel was our bartender and made me the BEST craft cocktail. It was literally perfect for me. They have a rotating milkshake - the one I had was a black truffle version. Not for me...but also, I don't like truffle and probably shouldn't have ordered it in the first place. The bar is small, so I recommend going earlier if it's a weekend. 100% recommend.

Been to Balderdash twice now and had an incredible time. There has been bar seating both times we popped in (earlyish. Around 5:30, shortly after they opened), so we were lucky to have a front row seat to the action. It seems we've been lucky with other patrons as well, as everyone is chatty and looking to socialize/have a great time. The drinks are special. We've ordered off of the menu (tried maybe 5-6 things), and then also had some off-menu recommendations by staff. The Mushroom Alexander is a MUST. I was also partial to the Blonde Ambition and a squid ink cocktail that I can't remember the name of (we were maaaaaany drinks in at that point). Balderdash is a must visit if you're in the area!

Balderdash is undoubtedly the best bar we've visited in the world. In terms of ambience, staff, and cocktail quality, this bar checks all the boxes. We went before dinner and were immediately impressed by the interior decor and relaxed by the low lighting (the Optimus Prime hand sanitizer was also a plus!). We ordered the Flying Monkeys (a blue bourbon-based drink) and the Expresso Martini Slush, which were both unique and delicious. At the time, we did not get the opportunity to take everything in since we had to rush to our dinner reservation. After dinner, we soon found ourselves wanting to return to Balderdash to further explore the drink menu and truly experience the bar in its entirety. We hurried back to Balderdash and that's when we really discovered how great of a place it is. My wife and I felt adventurous and both ordered a Bespoke where the bartenders make you a custom drink based on your preferences/a flavor profile. As an added bonus, we got to sit bar side this time and watch these artists work on our drinks. Afterwards, I went with my favorite drink, a Whiskey Sour, and my wife went with another Bespoke. Although the ambience and drinks are amazing, the best part about this bar is the staff: between the owner, bar tenders, and waiters, everyone has their own charming personality and comes from different parts of the world. They are very attentive to your asks and make you feel included during your entire stay. We had a wonderful time chatting with everyone and hearing their individual stories. All in all, if you're in Copenhagen and looking for tasty cocktails in an intimate setting, Balderdash is the place to spend your evening!

Amazing cocktail bar in the center of Copenhagen. Great drink menu with unique cocktails, upbeat music and chill atmosphere. Owner Jeffrey or Geoffrey was there and running the show. Place was busy, but he graciously accommodated us with perfect bar seats and checked on us often. Bartender Chris was phenomenal and a cocktail encyclopedia. Mixed us about 3 cocktails each and would have been more, but it was closing time. Wish we had found this place earlier in the trip. Will definitely be back next time we're in town. Wonderful little gem in CPH with incredible, creative and delish craft cocktails. The owner was so friendly and we loved getting to sit at the bar and chat with our bartender. Cannot wait to come back!

This is my go-to place for CPH. Thx Geoffrey, Kim and the crew. It made a Hawaiian feel at home. Mahalo. I'll have to visit again if I ever make it to CPH which I have to stay is a tough town. I think the friendliest Danes I met was at you guys' bar -- talking about everything from Danish politics to going to Mardi Gras. Mange tak.

A real hidden gem! A few blocks removed from the touristy hustle and bustle of Universitet, sits this amazing craft cocktail bar. Housed in a 350+ year old building, the bar is pretty tiny with only 8 seats, but there is some standing space available. Also, there's a lower level "library" bar with rare, high-end spirits, a fireplace and some tables. It's also where they concoct their tinctures, extracts and infusions. The drink menus is pretty focused on house originals, but the bartenders are more than happy to craft something on the spot. Kim and Oliver, to the two bartenders working that night, were very helpful, friendly and informative. Geoffrey, the owner, is a transplant from the Bay Area and is pretty passionate about the bar and Copenhagen. He partners with various local restaurants to collaborate on flavors and with farms to source fresh, seasonal ingredients. All the drinks are 100DKK, or about $16USD, which is about normal for Copenhagen.

This is one of he best cocktail bars I've ever been to. I was in Copenhagen for 3 nights and went here twice. The staff and the drinks are both great. The bartender Tatjana made us feel at home right away and she makes a great Zombie. I highly recommend it. And when I came from dinner she made me a specialty dessert cocktail when I told her I was in the mood for dessert. She gave us great recommendations for our time in Copenhagen as well. They do a great job of catering to everybody and making everybody feel welcome. When you go, make sure you ask for Tatjana.

My kids (25-29yrs) and I stopped into this small, simple dark bar and completely enjoyed the whole experience. We loved our very unique cocktails that were all very delicious. My only complaint was that the glasses were very small for the high prices. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in here and had great service. The bar wasn't crowded when we arrived but started to fill up before we left on a Sat afternoon. Would recommend as a first stop.

Great bar ! Friendly staff and delicious drinks . Can't wait to return and spend time with the locals at this great spot . I asked the bartender for a gin drink with citrus notes ... he nailed it ! All bars should have this vibe !

Gourmet cocktails, super hip and extra friendly bartenders who make suggestions based on your taste...good location, cool atmosphere, what's not to love about Balderdash? My boyfriend and I couldn't wait to go back after we went there the first time and had a zombie. Second time three of us went and all ordered different cocktails each time but all were very yummy! And the two guys working were so easy going and friendly and fun to talk to!

Nice and cozy location with good cocktails! It does get quite crowded, so come early to get a seat. Staff can be quite rude, so watch out!

Top cocktail bar in Copenhagen. Innovative cocktails that come with a show and taste great. Super friendly staff as well. The space is tight but has a cool story behind it. Must visit.

The worst experience ever. The bar owner is extremely rude with no sense of client appreciation or service. He got so pissed off coz I was standing in front of him while he collecting empty classes. The owner started to use f words for 19 times and decided not to serve do I have to leave. A night ruined because of bad temper attitude from the bar owner! Maybe he had a bad night but that is not an excuse.

The bar feels like it's trying too hard to be hip. Otherwise, nothing remarkable, there are much better places for cocktails in Copenhagen.
