On the Grid : Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook

"If you’ve ever heard someone mention the Culver City Stairs, this is where they are located. Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a California State Park that’s a must for anyone living nearby or visiting the area. In addition to the stairs, which can get pretty crowded at times, there are multiple trails to hike. If you’re not up for a workout, you can always drive to the top and park in the $6 lot to enjoy an expansive view of the city." - Rapt Studio

"L.A.'s Scenic Urban Island The Baldwin Hills Overlook affords some of the most unusual views in Los Angeles . From 511 feet high, not only can you see the entire L.A. basin with the downtown skyline, Hollywood sign, Santa Monica Mountains, and Pacific Ocean, but you get the southern perspective of Long Beach, San Pedro, and Palos Verdes. If you’re lucky and catch a clear day, you may even spot Catalina and the Channel Islands. This urban hike is a quick escape into nature but not without modern amenities including a bathroom, water fountain, picnic area and an entire learning center at the top. Take the time to educate yourself about the history, ecology and restoration of the land in order to truly appreciate the preciousness of park space and the fragileness of this natural urban island in the middle of the city sprawl below. Although the stairs to the top take only 10-20 minutes to ascend, they are taller and spread further apart than most stairs so be extra cautious with your footing. The stairs are a favorite amongst locals for exercise but for those looking for a less strenuous path, there is also the meandering switchback route. Even with the stairs, this is a shorter and less rigorous hike than others in urban L.A., so it's a great outing for all ages and fitness levels."

Climb the Culver City Stairs or take the switchbacks for one of L.A.’s signature panoramas. The Los Angeles Times regularly recommends the overlook; agencies note it anchors the Park to Playa network and hosts ranger programs.

Look, i'm sorry you didn't get a photo with the Hollywood Sign but this is a cooler walk (and if you bring a good camera you can get a solid photo of DTLA and the mountains behind you) and locals won't hate you for making them go there. Go down the steps (carefully! work your glutes, save your knees!) so everyone thinks you went up them and then actually double back up the road it's way nicer. Grab some fruit at the bottom maybe there's usually a nice lady there.

This place is great because it's connected to Cover City Stairs. Going up and down the stairs made my heart beat faster. It's more tiring than a normal hiking ramp, but if you can't go up and down, there are easier ramps for you to choose to walk. Don’t forget bring your water 😊

Google
My favorite hiking trail! It's easily accessible and free! I really like you can basically choose your level of difficulty with your hike, there are multiple trails plus the steps so you can do as much or as little working out as you want. Family friendly with lots of nature to enjoy as well! Usually not too crowded which is always a bonus! It's always a treat seeing the animals on this hike like the lizards and bunny's. Lots to look at and enjoy!

Google
Stairs! Great view! Beautiful garden. Juice bar at the bottom of hill. Great for post workout. Low skill level hike. Easy to take dogs or kids.

Google
A hidden gem for nature lovers! The hike is refreshing and not too difficult, with vibrant wildflowers along the trail and a breathtaking view of the city at the top. A perfect mix of urban and natural beauty—highly recommend for a quick outdoor escape!

Google
Love this place very close to the Downtown Culver City! If you are looking for not intense hiking place where you can rest and enjoy in nature with beautiful views over the city this is the right place for you! at the top of the hill you can find long stairs and if you are in to little bit intense activities you can test your self climbing abilities :)))

Google
Baldwin Hills trails are well-maintained and free of trash. It's a popular place making it safe for solo walking, but not particularly peaceful at times. If you remember that it's a park within an urban setting, you will enjoy it for what it is. If you like to do your workout outdoors, you will find many like-minded friends at Baldwin Hills.

Google
Well maintained and clean! Watch out for the Culver City Stairs, they're much bigger than normal steps, rugged and uneven too.

Raul Cienfuegos

Google
Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a hidden gem in LA! The stairs are a fun little challenge, but the views at the top are absolutely worth it. You get this stunning panoramic view of the city, especially at sunset—it’s like the whole skyline lights up. Perfect spot to take friends visiting for the first time. There is paid parking at the top, but it’s not always available, so be prepared to park further down and walk up. Either way, it’s definitely worth the trip for a quick escape from the city hustle!

Yelp
This is the Baldwin Hills scenic overlook, which is also known as the Culver City stairs. There's two ways you can go. You can go all the way up on the stairs, which aren't good for my knee or you can take the kind of like paved road on the sidewalk, which is what I do I can take the stairs down. I prefer not to. If you get there early in the morning, it's not very crowded and it's a beautiful sunrise. I like to get my workouts in first thing in the morning, that way the endorphins are flowing if serotonin levels are high your energies up there and I feel much more productive, but I can't always do it. I shoot for three times a week. I love that. I have a free resource to enjoy nature's beauty and marvel at how quiet the city is when it's sleeping. It's a beautiful hike. Highly suggested. I don't like to go on the weekends. There's too many people that come from other places to go there so it's crowded so, if I do it on the weekend, I'm doing it very early in the morning so I don't Have to deal with so many people... I find that I don't people well anymore and I don't like a lot of people around me! They have also created like an extension to where it goes into another part of a different park. I think it's Kenneth Han not sure but it's really cool and in a city it's nice to have these naturesque getaways.

Yelp
Simply the best spot in town. Don't know how else to put it Hopefully people only think of Griffith Park/the Hellywood sign when they think of overlooks so this place doesn't get more crowded than it is
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful park for those who like to do trail walks or jogs. This place gets pretty busy with locals who get to enjoy a nice view of the downtown LA sky rise buildings, and lot of the LA basin in general. I was surprised to see tons of folks grinding up that steep hill to get to the overlook parking lot at the top. Either way, this is a nice spot to check out if you're visiting from out of town (or state) with lots of great picture opportunities with great views.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to get a workout in. The stairs are STEEP! Once at the top, the view is nice and you'll feel accomplished! We took the dirt trail down and it's a bit narrow but still a good option for those not wanting to do the stairs at all. The area is clean and well maintained.
google avatar

Veronika Z.

Yelp
If you have short legs the steps are definitely more of a lunge. There are platforms to rest well spaced throughout! This hike will connect with a lot of other parks and hikes so can be more of a half day or full day type ordeal. There are also restrooms on the top near the visitors center. I will be back in the fall and winter when the greenery will be more vibrant. Parking easy to find on the street or 2$ per hour on top.
google avatar

Vince V.

Yelp
I enjoyed this overlook because it was such a nice sky. I parked in the lot near the top and paid the fee. Some people parked on the street and hiked up, which I plan to do next time. There was a food truck there and some nice photo opportunities on the way up. I did not see any animals on the trail, but I saw a variety of different plant species, it was beautiful. Please listen to the song I am parodying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaOyoVS-IAI While you are reading my song parody portion of my review below. Why do skies suddenly appear When I look over here Sweet blue scene Trail so serene Here with you Why does love, fall down from the sky Every foot, every mile Sweet blue scene Trail so serene Here with you I will drive to the west side of town in any type of weather Past all the smog into this vivid blue The lovely floor and the brush that is a sweet light gold And the sky line that is so vividly blue You're a cure, every time I frown You lift me, when I'm down Sweet blue scene Trail so serene Here with you I will drive to the west side of town in any type of weather Past all the smog into this vivid blue The lovely floor and the brush that is a sweet light gold And the sky line that is so vividly blue You're a cure, every time I frown You lift me, when I'm down Sweet blue scene Trail so serene Here with you Sweet blue scene Trail so serene Here with you

Yelp
What a cool spot in a very urban area to get some exercise, take in sweeping views and get your feet on dirt pathways surrounded by a bit of nature. 282 very uneven concrete steps to the top of the overlook. BE CAREFUL, the steps are potentially dangerous (especially descending!) I climbed the stairs twice and managed to explore most of the open space - and even found the trail to the Hahn recreation area across La Cienega (there's a pedestrian footbridge over La Cienega). Check out the visitor's center at the top of the Overlook and the Stoneview Nature Center on the backside of the preserve (down the hill toward La Cienega via footpath.) Next time, I'm going to park at Culver City Park and explore the overlook from that spot. Lots to do at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook - loved it! 5 stars
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
Great place for a good workout whether you climb the steps to the top or take the switchbacks. Be a good person and DON'T take your dog on this trail. Dogs are not allowed and I've seen so many people who just ignore this, bring their dog, and there's poop left on the trail. NOT COOL. There's free street parking if you can find it or paid parking. It's all on a busy street so be aware.
google avatar

Dennis Z.

Yelp
This is a great place to get a view of the city. If you're looking for a workout, try the Culver City Stairs. Those stairs are no joke! The trails are decent and fairly moderate. If you're around the area, please come and visit this place!
google avatar

Anusha S.

Yelp
Can't believe there is a nice park like this in the heart of a busy city like LA! Culver City steps has been on my LA bucket list and I finally got to cross it off on my trip this time. We parked at the top and paid $2 for an hour's worth of parking. We went on a Sunday around 11am and there were lots of people. Took us about 5 minutes to go down and 8 minutes to come back up. Looks are deceiving - the steps seem easy but it ended up being pretty challenging! The steps were also pretty steep and also slightly uneven which makes the workout even tougher. It would have been nice if there were some more signs to the steps. There are also trails around the park that are gentler on the knees. Overall, I would come back if I want to get in a quick workout outside. Very safe, definitely can go solo.
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
These stairs have gotten so much better from years ago. Climbing these stairs will go by fast don't stop climbing. If the stairs are too rough go right and you can just do incline to get to the top. If you just want to see the view you can drive up to the parking lot at the top.
google avatar

Yelp
The best of the best. We come fly our kites here as kids growing up. I love the hiking trails and jogging routes. Love the view always overlooking Los Angeles Downtown, and Hollywood. Awesome, gotta love it.
google avatar

Cris I.

Yelp
The Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a hidden gem in the heart of Los Angeles. It is accessible through the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation which charges a $7 vehicle fee on weekends and holidays. The fee is worth it cuz the overlook is a nice place to reconnect with nature, marvel at the city's breathtaking beauty, and enjoy a slice of urban serenity. Sure, the climb requires a bit of effort and the amenities are basic, but the reward is a million-dollar view and a dose of fresh air that's worth every drop of sweat and every parking circle. So, lace up your shoes, grab your picnic basket, and head to the Baldwin Hills for a unique Los Angeles experience that's both exhilarating and soul-soothing.

Yelp
Easy effective way to be in shape, there are multiple trails and you can walk up the hill or you can climb stairs. Easy street parking or on the top there's a parking lot. If no street parking there's a parking lot you can pay by hour too
google avatar

Yelp
Cute hike! My friend suggested we come here for a good leg workout for the notorious stairs.... It was great! Hard workout if you don't take breaks and feels like a solid cardio moment. Bathrooms and there's an area to go inside with brochures and workers if help is needed. We took our Sonny angels for an adventure lol. A fun Saturday event for us!
google avatar

Rosario M.

Yelp
I really enjoy my evening walks here. The views are awesome and make it easy to stay motivated (specially during sunset.) There are restrooms at the top that are open during business hours...also water fountains. There's lots of street parking, or you can drive up and park in their parking lot during business hours. Whether you take the trail or the stairs, you'll get a good workout in

Yelp
Finally hiked the connector portion (Baldwin Scenic Overlook to Kenneth Hanh) of the Park to Playa Trail. We have enjoyed hiking both of those parks but never did the connector portion which was a moderately steep and fun hike checking out the new-ish Stone view Nature Center and crossing the Mark Ridley-Thomas Bridge that goes over La Cienega. It was a clear day with views of LA. For more SoCal hikes, parks and food tips, IG: @grace.loves.adventures

Yelp
20 minutes at the Culver City Stairs and this was only half of the natural beauty I found. I am still getting to know many aspects of Los Angeles but this aspect... the NATURE amidst the hustle and bustle of the city - has certainly captured my wanderlust soul. . Our food related things here are tobacco plant, wild sage, cactus, and well I guess the snail ! . Lets not forget to discuss these stairs which, no matter how fit your think you are, will most definitely kick your butt! They are a brilliantly difficult distance apart and every time there's a break you willingly and embarrassingly take it. I had a torn hamstring tendon at the time so the challenge was even more present (and enjoyable). . . . . .
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoy coming up to the top of Baldwin Hills overlook. On a clear day it's amazing but you can easily see 60 miles to the mountains of Mount Wilson and Angeles crest. It's a great place to exercise or bicycle ride. From the top, you could take the trail, which is not an easy one over toKenneth Hahn Park, which is on the other side of La Cienega. Make sure you have good shoes because the trail can be slippery. Definitely one of the high points Of Los Angeles overlooks.
google avatar

Yelp
What's up: Here for Earth Day! We're teaming up with Cal Parks to help clean up the area by removing invasive plants and planting California native plants. Parking: Paved parking lot on the top with a handful of EV chargers for your electric vehicles. Don't forget to pay your parking fees ($2/hr or $6 all day). There's also street parking if you want to park at the bottom of the hill instead. Environment: Great view of the surrounding area since you're up on a hill. A couple walking trails as well as the infamous Culver City Stairs. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. We came here to work, but I can see why people like coming up here. The view is great and you'll definitely get a workout with those stairs! The parking lot can fill up quick, so get here early.

Yelp
This is a scenic place. Some food trucks occasionally on the street. People may be able to do picnic at the nearby open seating areas
google avatar

Yelp
The Baldwin Hills scenic overlook has gorgeous views on a clear day of the city. I typically go to hike, for there are easy trails and stairs to climb if you want a good workout. You also can drive up the hill for the view as well. At the bottom of the hill, there are food trucks that serve some of my favorite açai bowls. This is great for a solo or family activity to do on a nice day out. Sometimes it does get crowded, so if you're not a fan of large crowds, then be aware.
google avatar

Lea L.

Yelp
Who can hate a park?! Before all the rain, I was here every Sunday morning at the Culver City Stairs. It is an amazing work out. There is an easier trail to the top if you don't want to go up that way. There is parking as well on top of the hill if you want to start from the top, however parking it is limited. There is a lot of street parking though. At the bottom of hill there is normally some smoothie and/or juice trucks. A great place to workout for free. Get some great views and work up a sweat! Public restrooms at the top.
google avatar

Scarlett H.

Yelp
View! View! View! If you live on the LA west side and you want to get away from the urban jungle but you don't want to drive hours out of town, then this is a perfect choice! Just minutes from the busy Culver City streets is this hilly park adjacent to the Culver City Park, where benches, baseball fields, and a small area for dogs to run around. Actually, if you get to the Culver City Park first, you'd find parking easily and the walk up here is much easier with gentle slopes. On a clear day, you can see all the way from the Pacific Ocean, to the Santa Monica mountains, to downtown LA; and if you look closely, you'll see the white HOLLYWOOD sign right up there on the hills. Thanks to the storms in early 2023 the fields are covered with beautiful green vegetation and wild flowers are blooming! Great place to take your out of town guests too!
google avatar

Arianne M.

Yelp
My sister took me here to see the amazing view. We drove up and they have a parking lot on the top. You can also walk up to see the view. They have trails if you want to do some hiking. When we were there we saw a large hiking group getting ready to go. It was definitely windy at the top so I recommend a jacket. I loved the views. A must do on your next trip!
google avatar

Frank W.

Yelp
The view, if you're looking for a beautiful view overlooking Culver city and West LA than look no further. We didn't attempt the steep hike up the to overlook but opted to drive to the top, lol. Once at the top you're greeted with breathtaking sights and a few trails to explore. Make sure to bring you good walking shoes, water, and an adventurous spirit.
google avatar

Joy U.

Yelp
I went here at 6 o clock on a Thursday night and it was a bad idea. First off this is a great place to do a stair workout. These aren't regular stairs as some stairs are further apart, higher, shallow and shorter then others so it's definitely a stair workout you want to do after stretching. It takes about 30-45 mins to do the stairs one way if you don't normally workout, but kind you I noticed some people pass me up twice since I'm a beginner at this. Great cardio workout for sure and if you reach the top you get the best view of the LA skyline which I do recommend taking pics of. Now my mistake was going here after dark and only having my phone light. You can see the stairs but it's safer to have a flashlight. I went down the back way which was another mistake because we got somewhat lost and so many people peed along the way it smelled like piss. Other then that I loved the view up top, people move out your way and are mindful of you if you need a break as well. Also, there is a juice truck at the bottom which is nice when you like to follow your workout with a healthy all natural drink.
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
I've been going to this amazing trail for years. They maintain it very well. There are lots of options if you want a simple or more complicated or run.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally made it up these steps 2x in one day....Lol Anyhoo, great views and a perfect place to get a workout in. I go on weekday mornings when it's not crowded. Parking is easy as well. Avoid weekends if you can....
google avatar

Heidy M.

Yelp
Stairs are always a great workout and these are one of our favorites. Parking is located on the street and can be tough to find if you arrive during peak hours. There is also parking at the top that was empty. Bathrooms are located at the top in the visitor center and they were very clean. These stairs are uneven and not consistently spaced, but it's definitely adds to the workout. We are both pretty fit, workout daily and average five- seven minutes to the top. We take the stairs down as it's can be just as a workout if you make it one. The dirt path runs within the same area and is well maintained and is pretty easy with a very gradual incline. If you decide halfway up the stairs you want to take the path, it's available and there are a few turnouts to do so. Bring water and a hat, wear sunscreen as there is no shade. There were a few juice trucks at the bottom of the hill that also were offering samples. Otherwise there is nothing much nearby to buy water or drinks. Enjoy the wildflowers and watch your step!
google avatar

Dina L.

Yelp
Awesome spot for an outdoor workout. There are multiple trails but my favorite spot are the stairs. It's such a good cardio workout climbing up and down. It's not very big long flight of stairs but effective. Panoramic views of LA with cool wild flowers and plants lining the trails. Easy time finding street parking. I like coming during the work week when it's not too crazy busy.
google avatar

Doreen M.

Yelp
A great free workout and walk even though I've only been here twice. LOL Tons of parking on the street or to pay at the top etc. Love the food truck at the bottom that has smoothies, drinks, and acai bowls. Was here to take the winding trail up and then walk down the paved sidewalk on the way down. I hate exercise, but the scenery is nice. Would come here again.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
Man! If you want a great cardio workout and beautiful views, you need to get over to the Culver City Stairs. This park has several trails that lead to awesome scenic routes of mid and south LA. It's filled with pretty wild flowers, birds, rodents, and all types of wildlife. Not so ideal for kids but is an overall great experience.

Fantino A.

Yelp
Great views at Baldwin Hills don't miss the sunset or sunrise... at any time of the year
google avatar

Agata G.

Yelp
Fun hike. The stairs can be brutal! Had to take a few breaks going up. Mostly clean, nice people around, and plenty of street parking available out front. Overall a nice way to spend an hour or two without having to go out of the city.

Yelp
Have you been? Extraordinary Views indeed! Soul Fulfilling! Gorgeous Surroundings of Pure Nature!

Yelp
I loved this urban hike. I had a route and a system down 3-4x/week for the past year. It was my workout routine and sanctuary. Unfortunately I won't be returning at least not alone because in parts it is too isolating for a woman and not enough park staff keeping an eye on things. The tipping point was last week: A man who is always there and who I never had a problem with before, was watching me through my car window as I pulled up to the trail. He stared through my window at me while I was parked. Then he disappeared. Throughout my hike, everywhere I went, there he was. After I was done and heading back down the service road, he tried talking to me. I ignored him. He then ran past me and back to parking, where I could see from above that he was ducking and hiding out in front of MY CAR. I was shaken. I waited for another man to come down and asked him if he could walk me to my car. He said of course and was very helpful. When we got to my car door, this stalker was in front of my car, turned around, facing the wall--not sure why but I didn't stick around to find out. I thanked the man who helped me and got out of there. BTW I filed a police report but they didn't ask for a description of the guy. They said if it happens again to call back. I said, "I'm calling now, it happened now." Anyway, it won't happen again because I won't be going back, at least not without a buddy. Really messed up.

Yelp
Want a great workout for your legs and some cardio... this is definitely the spot. You can take the steps or the path to the top. Steps can be steep. There is landing areas in between some of the steps ... where you can take a breather. There is a rope to the side ; you can hold onto if need be. Parking is street parking or you can park at the top... if you drive up the paved road. Beautiful views of the area from the top.
google avatar

Kristine A.

Yelp
Looking for a hike while visiting my daughter. I'm used to the Bay Area trails and was happy to find something relatively close by resembling nature. Stairs were a great short workout.
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
It's so beautiful here this morning! I have been here a while and I am so glad I came this morning!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful! Easy to find parking. Easy to moderate hike. If you want to work out use the stairs.
google avatar

Rani Z.

Yelp
Time & Date: Sunday, 6/20/21 @ 11:30am Parking: lot all the way at the top ($2 per hour) Crowd: Not busy For those who feel landlocked in central LA, this is a close getaway in Culver City. You get a nice view of DTLA & Hollywood, but it does get a little hazy. Paths are paved, there are bathrooms on site, but not dogs allowed! I saw a lot of people set up their workout gear and equipment to exercise there, so I guess this could be a nice workout spot too!
google avatar

Angie B.

Yelp
I'm not going to lie; I didn't walk up to the top. I am NOT that fit. We drove to the top, looked around, and went back down. But in all fairness, we're from out of town, so of course time is a factor and we had to drive there anyway, so .... It's definitely worth the visit if you're in Los Angeles or you live there. It's beautiful and I'm sure really challenging if you're walking up from the base. When you get to the top and you see those views, it's so worth it. We were so lucky because the air quality was good so visibility was great. It was so quiet and peaceful up there and when you look down at the sprawling LA below you, it's mesmerising. You can hear sirens now and then and an airplane maybe, but otherwise it's relaxing and serene. And it's a nice different view vantage point than other areas of the city, so it's another bonus to visiting here. I imagine this gets super busy on weekends, so we were there during the week and early in the day. I wouldn't want to be there when it's really crowded as you'd lose the quiet. Also, I think it might be a little unpleasant in bad heat - unless you like hot weather - so early in the day was also a plus for that reason. I think I'll come back here each visit to LA. Maybe even next time I'll be fit enough to leave the car below and walk up (hehe).
google avatar

Jillian G.

Yelp
Great moderate hike that is short enough to do a few times depending on how much time you have. We did a combo of the stairs and winding paths up and down twice in about an hour and a half. There is street parking, but it's all parallel on a busy street. The views from the top are stunning on a clear day.
google avatar

Krystle G.

Yelp
What a great place to hike and/or view all of L.A. You can park at the bottom of the hill or at the top of the hill parking lot for a small fee. But the view is gorgeous!!! You can see all of the different areas of Los Angeles. And depending on the weather, you can see some snow on the mountains as a backdrop for downtown, beautiful sunsets, the plants on the mountain will be in bloom, and etc. Thank you Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook for a great view!

Yelp
If you're reading this review, you're more than likely deciding whether you should come here or not. I'm here to tell you 100% worth it for a great booty pump! I knew my love for stairs would get me somewhere.... literally in this case, lol. Hiking up these steep, concrete steps will give you a phenomenal 360 view of LA. You'll most likely find yourself catching your breath a lot & I mean A LOT but like the cliche saying goes, nothing good ever comes easy!! The best part is if steps aren't your thing, you have other options: a dirt trail that you can walk/run on or paved road that you can take a casual stroll on. That's the beauty of this place, something for everyone on all levels of fitness. Once you get to the top, there's usually people working out and bathrooms, as well. Solid spot for a good workout, stunning views, and people watching. Worried about parking? Don't. There's tons of metered parking along Jefferson for 25 cents/hour & parking at the top (by the overlook) for $2/hour or $6/day. I've given you more reasons to come than not, so what are you waiting for?! Get that heart rate up here! Haha

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go hiking! I always try to take my out of town friends here if they want to do something quick but fulfilling. The trails are clean and there is convenient parking at the bottom. The stairs are definitely the way to go if you want a quick burn. The longer, switchback trail is also a great option for a chiller time. The views at the top are pretty amazing given how close you are to the city. You can see downtown in the distance as well as century city and the other suburbs surrounding LA. Overall, definitely would recommend a visit here and trying it out! It's a quick, fast, calorie burner with some good views as well.

Yelp
The trail was easy to get to and has adjacent parking (reasonably priced too) so it was a win-win. Quick, all uphill hike that takes about 45 minutes to get to the top via the Culver City steps. There's the option of the longer way was well with other walking trails to get to the top. There's a really nice center at the top that wasn't open at the time, but still nice to look at. At least the bathrooms were available! The view from the top is gorgeous and there's some walking areas once you get up there as well. Perfect for a sunset/sunrise. This area is decently packed and is a crowd favorite!

Yelp
Our go to spot for an evening easy paced walk up the hill to see the beautiful sunset . There are tons of trails and is is bigger than it looks . Lots of places to explore and cute little bunnies hopping all over the mountain . I have seen some pretty breath taking sunsets here . Another fun fact : there is a huge staircase and it is a GREAT and very challenging workout ! However , I can't recomend it during Covid as many people have their masks pulled down or off completely and are running or walking in very close proximity to you and breathing very heavy ! There is also a dog park for the doggos if you drive up the hill ... I think it's called the Boneyard
