The food is delicious. I'd suggest trying the signature beef rendang; it's tender and flavorful. The Kaya Toast is sweet and crunchy. The Laksa seafood soup is packed with various ingredients and has a rich, creamy broth. However, food is pricey, don't count on big servings.

As a self-proclaimed food aficionado with a penchant for exploring global cuisines, my recent visit to Bali Town in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, was a delightful dive into the rich and aromatic world of Indonesian fare. Nestled in the bustling heart of this vibrant district, Bali Town offers a warm escape with its inviting ambiance and authentic flavors, making it a standout spot for lovers of Southeast Asian cuisine. The moment I stepped into Bali Town, I was greeted by a cozy yet lively atmosphere, complete with wooden furnishings that evoke a tropical island vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly, offering helpful recommendations without being overbearing—a perfect balance for a dining experience. The setting felt like a slice of Bali transported to Hong Kong, enhanced by the subtle hum of chatter and the occasional clink of plates. The star of the show was undoubtedly the dish I sampled, a beautifully plated bowl of Indonesian-style fried noodles topped with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. The noodles were stir-fried to a delightful al dente texture, infused with a savory blend of spices that hinted at the complexity of Balinese cooking. The dish was generously garnished with crisp prawn crackers, adding a satisfying crunch with every bite. Fresh cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes on the side provided a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors, while the egg yolk, when broken, melded seamlessly with the noodles for an extra layer of indulgence. The iced tea that accompanied my meal was a treat in itself—a cool, subtly sweet brew that cleansed the palate and complemented the spicy undertones of the dish. It’s clear that Bali Town pays attention to the details, ensuring that each component enhances the overall experience. #### Presentation and Portions Presentation-wise, the dish was a feast for the eyes as much as the stomach. The vibrant colors of the vegetables, the golden egg, and the delicate prawn crackers were artfully arranged, making it almost a shame to dig in—almost. The portion size was just right, leaving me satisfied but not overly full, which is ideal for those looking to explore more of the menu on a return visit. #### Verdict Bali Town earns high marks for delivering an authentic taste of Indonesia in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. The quality of ingredients, the skillful preparation, and the thoughtful presentation make it a must-visit for anyone craving a culinary escape to the tropics. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Indonesian cuisine or a curious newcomer, this restaurant promises a memorable meal. I’d rate it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars—deducting a half point only because I’m eager to see how their other dishes stack up on my next visit. Highly recommended!

The food here was amazing and really good value! I loved everything we ordered and my favorite was the ice cream cendol. They don’t take reservations, and since we were a party of 6, we waited for about half an hour. The service definitely has some room for improvement, for example they could wipe the tables before seating us and the staff can be friendlier.

Food was ok but not outstanding. Of the 3 dishes that we ordered, love the Mi Goreng the most. The stir fried pork satay was good too but I think it will taste better if the meat can be cut in big chunk like satay instead of sliced. The portion was generous for both. The Tiger Prawn was smaller than expected but taste was not bad, the curry sauce was a bit too much which I think will be more suitable to eat with rice. Wanted to try the satay as well but min order was 6 pcs which was a bit too much for 2 person and pricey.

food was okay, really salty and overseasoned and i’m not sure how authentic it is. the mi goreng and nasi goreng was alright, didn’t really dare try anything else. the coconut milk ice was just ice chunks in watery coconut milk - really mediocre.

🌴 Today, I had the pleasure of dining at BaliTown in Tsim Sha Tsui, a restaurant that has been serving great Balinese food since 1975. Intrigued by the rave reviews I saw on social media, I knew I had to try it for myself. 1️⃣ 雙色咖央多士 Kaya Toast ($40) 🍞 Indulge in this delightful Kaya Toast, featuring a harmonious blend of flavors from the duo-colored kaya spread on perfectly toasted bread. 2️⃣ 峇里堂招牌巴東牛肉 Signature Beef Rendang ($150) 🥩 Experience the rich and aromatic flavors of Bali with this signature Beef Rendang, where tender beef is slow-cooked with a blend of spices and coconut milk. 3️⃣ 峇里堂海鮮煎 Seafood Telor ($91) 🐟 Savor the freshness of the sea with this flavorful Seafood Telor dish, featuring a medley of seafood cooked to perfection and served with a tantalizing sauce. 4️⃣ 芒果珍多雪糕冰 Mango Cendol ($60) 🍨 Indulge in the refreshing sweetness of Mango Cendol, a delightful dessert that combines the tropical flavors of mango with the silky smoothness of cendol and a scoop of ice cream. 💰 The total bill for our meal came to $341, with no service charge. It was truly a satisfying dining experience, immersing us in the authentic flavors of Bali.

As an Indonesian, this place is not authentic… It has been very localized to Hong Kong’s taste. We ordered 2 mains, 1 vegetable, 2 rice and 2 drinks and paid $475 The food overall is okay, but it doesn’t taste “Indonesian”. The beef rendang is way too sweet and wet. This is what you would call a “kalio”. The roasted chicken is again wet when it’s supposed to be dry and charred. The vegetable (kangkung) came more than an hour late and we were still pretty chill about it. Not long after, one of the servers came and forced us to pay the bill lol.
