Amazing place to play Airsoft. Have never had a bad experience. Been going every Saturday for a long while now!

Took my son for his 17th birthday and we had a blast. Will be back soon! They also provide equipment rental if you dont have your own gear. They do sell some food items but recommend bringing your own cooler with drinks/lunch etc especially if you plan to stay all day. 10 out of 10!

Google
This was my first time airsofting and I had a great time. The facility is huge! Dress for the occasion - be ready for mud, dirt and water. Bring clean clothes to change into. Several of my friends rented gear and didn't have any issues with their rental stuff. The shop is chock full of things to look at and purchase - including kids friendly snacks, waters and energy drinks. If you follow them on Facebook you may even see yourself out there like I did.

Great big area, store is stocked up pretty good, military friendly. they hand out free water to combat the heat. Plenty of parking. Been going there couple weekends and always had a blast. Family friendly atmosphere. If it wasnt for the heat in the 90s all summer. Come prepared with chairs, coolers, maybe a fan, a change or two of clothes and lunch. Would recommend to anyone.

Such a blast! We will be back next year for sure! Wild West event is the most fun I have had in a long time. Made some awesome friends in the process as well! See everyone next year!

As a parent, I have to admit @ first I was apprehensive about bringing my son to this establishment. I don't like the idea of my twelve old son enjoying and playing with firearms. But here @ Ballahack Airsoft Strike field, the staff understood my concerns, and Natalia helped to ease my mind. She was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional towards me. I appreciated her. Malachite was also knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He suggested what gun was great for my son for the amount of $ he had available. Malachi even gave my son a newer magazine to replace the broken one my son had in his gun. As a concerned, responsible parent, I'd recommend Ballahack Airsoft Strike to anyone looking to spend quality time with their children, while having a great time. This place creates wonderful memories...

Google
Huge location, outdoor, they are able to play a lot of different scenarios, I went on not a very busy day and there was still about 25 a side. Played for 3 hours. Great airsoft location.

Yelp
If you're going to have a field that has rules to help promote a family friendly environment, don't have grown men wear sexual, provocative outfits running around the field. It's not cute, it's not funny, their language, and appearance is unchecked, and disgusting. The staff can only do so much to police things of course, but there are huge red flags that are just ignored by staff. Wouldn't ever bring my kids to here. I am a local, and have been playing on and off at this field since 2014, and you can tell along with the improvements, that it's gone downhill in other ways such as the details listed above.

Yelp
I was invited to Ballahack Airsoft by a friend for his son's birthday. What an absolute BLAST! I used to play paintball and airsoft when I was a teenager. I did not realize how much of a sport it had grown into. After a near 30 year hiatus this was a fantastically fun way to get back into the sport and now I'm hooked! Ballahack has a sprawling outdoor arena complete with multiple ConEx style structures. There is a larger village around the middle of the site. The staff is polite and courteous. The location is family friendly: they ensure no cheating, and cursing/ foul language is heavily discouraged. A day pass with equipment rental will run you a little north of $60.00 per person. For that you get a decent airsoft rifle, a full face mask, and a kit with, "dead" rags and barrel covers. In my opinion, it's worth every penny. Ballahack also has a pro shop to purchase your own gear and weapons, or have your own equipment worked on. There are snacks for purchase, and food trucks usually find their way out around lunchtime. There are on site restrooms, as well as port-a-potties for guests to use. I loved my visit! I definitely plan on going back!

Yelp
OMG... there are not enough words to describe the experience at Ballahack. I suppose it should be said that I do not have experience here on a week two week basis, dealing with their normal airsoft field and events. My experience is solely from my recent encounter at their rev omega event. The staff at check in and gun rental and check out for purchasing products as well as the floor. Staff assisting me in choosing proper eyewear, etc. were beyond friendly, amazing people, and so personable you could easily imagine having at length conversations with any one of them. The staff on the field, the People, ensuring that everyone is having a good time as well as following the rules, as well as ensuring that everybody is staying healthy were outstanding. Also personable. They were caring, kind, and interesting. They were interested as well. Sharing stories from previous events, sharing, anecdotes of Ofield actions, as well as things that have happened in the area. Fishing adventures on the pond. Everybody was amazing. The role players in this event, I do not know if they are employees, or if they are just friends of the event, but they were all truly amazing. Swamp sniper, the person most people come out to see, though I can't honestly say if that's true, but in my experience, we came in because of my sons longtime following of his YouTube channel, was awesome. He was so friendly, he was so eager to offer advice, he was super kind. When I made a mistake, he was just an all-around genuine guy. I can't say I can make it here yearly but we'll do our best.

Yelp
For first timers or beginners this place is not equipped or accommodating. We were hoping for a better experience. We all went in with a great attitude and expecting something special. Four of us played, 2 of us had guns, we needed face mask rentals, BB's and 2 guns that came with vests and extra mags. We paid close to $300 with a 10% Discount! 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We were definitely the least experienced there and it showed and no one helped us. we were hoping for more of a hands on tutorial, especially for the price. We watched a 5 minute video that told us very quickly about the rules and also said if the only shot you have is for the head, go for it. NOT kid friendly. 99% of the people there were in full military fatigues, helmets, they had grenades and smoke. they had head sets to talk to each other, multiple weapons, many were wearing camo gear, gilly suits, and were definitely professionals. I'm just hoping to save another family of 4 the time and money if they're not fully prepared for something like this. If you are, great! Have fun!

Yelp
I got invited here for a birthday. This was my first time ever play airsoft. This place is fun but the reason why I rate it a 3 is because they said that I could not play for the rest of the day, because I was so on so cheating.

Yelp
I voted a three because the bathrooms were horrendous. I just held it. That was the extent of my experience because we had a kid that was too young to participate so we stayed in the car. My other kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. Rain came and the game ended. They played one game and that was that. Maybe when the weather is better I can return and get the full experience.

Yelp
Have t been in years but I know you won't be disappointed. I knew the owner when I lived in VA still and he's come into GameStop every so often. Awesome guy who runs an awesome airsoft field, always looking for new ways to make it better and he has for over a decade! If you want the best for your experience this place will definitely provide that to you.

Yelp

Yelp
Twice now I have gone to this shop over the past two years and I have bought two guns. BOTH have been absolute pieces of garbage items. The first I bought was an Elite Force 1911, which the guy said "was the best around", the thing broke within the first week, and after I paid to get it fixed by the ppl who sold it to me, the magazines i bought FROM ballahack airsoft started malfunctioning, which they rec. me to PAY for another repair, which did NOTHING. So I spent ~225 for a handgun that I got 3 days of use out of, and they would not take it back. My next experience comes to 3 days ago when I purchased a CQB M4 from Elite Arms, which was recommend by the young kid who had no idea how to treat a costumer, NEVER worked. I've been trying to shoot it for the past 3 days with my Nephew and the thing doesnt even feed bbs. It just flat out doesn't work. Which means it NEVER got tested, and the box looked rugged and used, retaped, then packaged out to the next poor sope (me) who got it. I spent $350 that day and got completely Screwed over by ballahack AGAIN. I am not a ballahack hater, I love the field and think Chris is a great guy, but god damn fix your shop. I'm so surprised how good the reviews are on here, I guess I'm just the lucky one

David L.

Yelp
I drive 3 hours twice a month to get to Ballahack, and guess what, it's worth every penny and mile. My son and I always have a FANTASTIC time shooting plastic bb's at other people in the woods. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always make sure that you have what you need and your visit is good.

Yelp
Very fun experience and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The course is really cool and has a lot of cool features. The staff set up and explain each game/match. I took my 3 sons (11,12, & 15) and they had a blast. The staff and other players were great with helping us and explaining the game. You will see some really exotic airsoft guns. People let the kids shot their guns and explained the differences in different weapons. We rented guns and they worked flawlessly. They have a huge selection of new and used guns if you would like buy your own. They even charge your spare batteries for you.

Yelp
Took my 13 year old son for his first time two weeks ago. He wanted to get into the sport and we dove in head first. I was an avid paint baller before kids, but never played airsoft. In the process of buying kit we found out that the best field on the east coast and possibly the nation is 1hr 20 min from our house. We decided to take a drive down and see for ourselves. Believe the hype (found on YouTube via most of the big name airsofters) this is the best field hands down. We played on 5/26/2020 and again on 6/13/2020 and I already have my tickets for 6/20/2020. The staff is amazing! Andrew has put up with all my stupid questions and is a great leader for the group. All of the marshalls are exceptionally professional and take extra time to make sure your gun is working great or answer any ridiculous questions a rowdy group of teenagers can throw at them. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Great event July 3, 2016. Watch your stuff closely, a kid with the last name of Allen that's in the Navy stole my vest, face mask, 2 grenades and 4 mags. Should have never let him share our table. Field is truly in a swamp bring plenty of bug spray. Love the field, came all the way from Chicago for the event, planning on going next year. THANKS BALLAHACK AIRSOFT FIELD!

Yelp
I've been playing airsoft for over a decade. In all my time playing, there have been few fields which have really stood out as exceptional. Fewer still that I would drive many hours to visit. Ballahack Airsoft falls into both of those categories. From a fantastic field, with great obstacles and MOUT facility, to professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff, to a fully-stocked pro shop, Ballahack has it all. With regular weekend play every week, and large-scale scenario games held quite often, Ballahack has something for every type of airsofter out there. I happily drive for 6+ hours to play at Ballahack, every chance I get. And I've not regretted it once. They always deliver!!

Steve R.

Yelp
I was very impressed by the field and staff. They carry all the gear you need, maintain strong emphasis on safety and are really helpful. I took my son and his friend for their 1st time. My son's friend had not charged the battery on his gun, so it didn't work when the guy tested it to ensure it was within the 400 FPS limit. I was thinking the kid was out of luck before getting started, but the guy grabbed a battery from the shop and let him borrow it for free. This was consistent with my experience with everyone there. The staff are friendly, helpful, and it was clear their top 2 priorities are to keep it safe and keep it fun. These folks are doing it right, and we will be back often this summer.

Yelp
Been coming here for a few years now, and it keeps getting better. Perhaps the largest Airsoft field in the entire state at close to a hundred acres. There is a large free-standing town. The largest building is four stories tall. There are several smaller buildings and structures scattered throughout the property. Lots of trees, paths, a large pond, and then there is the swamp. Saturday is the day to come out. Mil-Sim events are held on certain Sundays. There is the annual scenario, Revelations, which is usually held in November. More scenarios being held and developed. There is an area to rest and gear up indoors with tables, as well as a retail area where you can purchase Airsoft supplies, safety equipment, and even gear.

Yelp
I love this place it's a blast every time I go which is at least once a month. I even got my wife into airsoft, ballahack is great for male, female, adults, or kids. It just all around a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday. If you want a slower pace to get started or if your bringing little guys with you try Sunday it's usually a more chill vibe.

Yelp
The place is huge! Plenty of room to play. Staff is friendly, fun, and had a fantastic attitude. The events they put on are beyond spectacular. I'd advise it for any and all fans of airsoft, or looking to get into the sport.

Yelp
Have only played once there as I have recently gotten into Airsoft, but I had a fantastic experience when I went. Clean facility with a large and varying field with regard to different types of play styles. The proshop was also pretty large and catered to any need I had while I was there. Staff-wise, I had a great experience. The cashier (can't recall her name) was very nice and polite when I had to buy something. Chris, one of the owners, actually came out to see how I was doing and talked to me for a bit to make sure I was having a good time and to thank me for coming out to play; really made me feel welcome to this field. Player-wise, the people I met were generally very nice and enjoyable to play with. Overall an A+ place to have a great airsoft experience, especially for the newer placers such as myself

Yelp
Ballahack Airsoft is fantastic! I've been going there since 2008 and still go when I get the chance. It is tge biggest outdoor field in VA hands down. They have really stepped up towards the Milsim community in the past few years. Gaining more and more national Ops. I went to Tim vs Bob 4 and will be going to Blue vs Grey this month. The field is very diverse. 99 acers of woods, swamp, towns, lakes of pure milsim goodness. Don't believe me? YouTube them! There is at least 150 players on Saturday and a few less on Sunday. It's 20.00 per entry fee. They have battery chargers on site, food, drinks and a few port o Johns. You can camp there for large Ops. If your not a camper well hotels are few miles away. The town is the heart of the field and it's huge! Four stories building with repelling and a helicopter pad on top. There's tons of props to take cover behind. I must say that Chris and his family and friends for that matter make Ballahack the success it is. Hope to see you on the field!

Yelp
In the 2 years ive been playing at ballahack, Ive been here many, many times, and each time i drove over 4 hours to come down. Ive always had fun, always worth the trip, chris(the owner) is a great guy and genuinely cares about the community, they have an awesome shop, never had a problem... until today. In the last few months ive noticed the "refs"(if you can call them that) have really gone down hill. You tell them someone is playing unfairly, not calling hits, overshooting, etc, they hardly do anything about it. Then when you get mad, they punish YOU and treat you with no respect and get unruly. They did it to me when i cursed someone out when i got hit and they continued to shoot after i waved my dead rag(which i know was wrong but when something like that happens and they purposely do it, its kind of much). He then treated a guy who accidentally shot full auto too close the same way. If someone screws up, myself included, handle it how it's supposed to be handled. Fine. But treat the people THAT PAY YOU PAYCHECKS with a little bit more respect. Winter season is on its way, and ill be taking a break, hopefully by spring things will be better. That all said, its the greatest field on the east coast and arguably the country for a reason, so give it a shot if you can

Nelson R.

Yelp
This is the best field I've ever been to. Unbelievably friendly staff and owner, great safety standards, fantastic terrain and scenarios, and the one of the best communities I've ever been a part of. Just bring gore-tex boots, you're gonna need them if you wanna get the full experience!
