Overall Balon is quite good, but not spectacular. The best dish was actually the desert which was unbelievable. I enjoyed the noodle dish, and the veal cheeks were good but quite heavy. The starters were interesting but almost trying too hard to look and be fancy - I prefer just great taste. It is on the expensive end. Service was good but it was overall slow and long meal.

Great restaurant. Food was great (Balon filet mignon, with truffle butter, bacon and grilled veggies), soup was great (pumpkin with dehydrated bacon) and dessert was perfect (best cream brulee I tried in Zagreb). Service was very pleasant and interior was superb.

First time here, delighted by the food and service. Waiter was very proffesional and quick. Reservations needed as place is really busy. Food was excellent, everything from startera to dessert. A bit pricey but worth the money. Parking available nearby, but you need to pay 3rd zone fee. The only thing that bothered me were the chairs. Possibly the worst chairs I have ever sat on in a restaurant. But for sure would recommend to anyone

Very polite staff but the food is quite average in taste and the portions are very small. For example the risotto did not contain enough seafood it was mostly tomato sauce. The restaurant definitely needs to work at the quality of the food if they want the restaurant to have a high-quality reputation. They charged us 42 kuna (3 ppl) for the table covering. 29 kuna for a bottle of water. I am surprised they did not charge us for the olive oil and for bread.
