Balong is a scenic spot with potential, but a recent visit highlights several areas for improvement. The beautiful lakeside setting and views of the surrounding hills are impressive, offering beautiful view & a peaceful atmosphere. However, the venue seems to struggle with managing crowds. Safety is a significant concern. The high areas and stairs lack railings, posing a risk, especially for the numerous small children present. This is a critical issue that needs immediate attention. On-site facilities are insufficient for the number of visitors. There are not enough toilets to accommodate the crowds. Expanding these to at least 3-5 stalls per gender would greatly improve the visitor experience. Operational management could be better. The space is too crowded. Seating and parking areas should be expanded, and new attractions should be introduced to better distribute visitors. The narrow access road and high volume of traffic suggest a need for dedicated traffic management, perhaps with assistance from local residents. The area in front is also full with touting sellers, which detracts from the overall appeal. Relocating these people to designated kiosks would create a more organized and welcoming entrance. While the location has natural beauty, addressing these logistical and safety issues is essential for a truly positive visitor experience.

Not recomended especially for Garut people. It's expensive !!! But for us tourist, it's make sense sinde this tourist spot. Only goes for take a photo you must pay 20k IDR exclude drink and food. Food and drink many not available, and so so. The view as well only big lake with thunder mountain view. There's abandon building blocking the view actually. The road also narrow and muddy from the car park to the cafe. There's still other cafe which worthed than this.

Good place for hanging out with friends, but not family friendly. Don’t go during weekend or peak hours, the place could be so crowded with people and photo spots are filled with people

Very beautiful place to visit and great staff. Huge parking lot. You can take a group picture ini 4 spots with mountain and lake backgrounds. But need improvement in food quality 🙏🏼

The hills and water scenery are very beautiful and comforting. You can rent an ATV here and pay for the local photographer to take a foto, that's very beautiful. The menu in restaurants is worth it to try and the taste is delicious, you need to try the beverage: Manis Kayas which is so good and refreshing.

the road was narrow and bumpy, it was meant only for one vehicle, so expect a face-to-face situation. the place was okay, i appreciate that the staff cleaned up the trash bin regularly. the service was awful, it was crowded so it would be nice if the staff showed us the seating, but they didn’t. i ordered 4 simple drinks and had to wait for 37mins. the menu could be ordered via website but the payment was still done at the cashier, some people were still ordering at the cashier which made it very inconvenient. this place needs to add more staffs especially during the weekend.
