"Situated in the historic Buda Castle district, amid bustling restaurants and pubs, this intimate design hotel has just 11 individually appointed rooms that feel like hidden gems. Warm wood paneling and moody hues envelop you in the reception area, and many of the interiors are inspired by the works of famous artists and designers—the two-bedroom Baltazar Loft is a standout, with Keith Haring–inspired artwork on exposed brick walls and two king-size beds. A free hot breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant makes this a good value for money-conscious travelers; those who stick around for lunch and dinner can enjoy grilled meats cooked up in the Spanish-style charcoal Josper oven over a glass of Hungarian wine, then hit the town. The hotel is one of a number of properties run by the local Zsidai family, who also own some of the city’s trendiest boîtes, including an Italian concept restaurant in partnership with Britain’s beloved chef Jamie Oliver."

Three times Michelin guide, food is rich is flavour for me but was slightly too salty for my family. I personally enjoyed the food a lot and was really satisfied with what I had. There are a few Michelin guide restaurants around and are all under the same group. This one is abit further from the fisherman’s bastion, so the odds of it having space is the highest.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Baltazár Hotel. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was stylish, spotless, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. The location is fantastic—peaceful but close enough to explore the city easily. Breakfast and food at the restaurant were excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Baltazár to anyone visiting Budapest.

The hotel location, comfort and service were outstanding. The room was spacious and very well air conditioned - which was important as so hot outside in July. The staff were very friendly and catered to our every need. They were friendly and provided the exact kind of 'home away from home' you'd want on a holiday for relaxing. If we get the chance we will certainly be visiting again, as there's so much to see and do in Budapest that we simply didn't have time for on this particular visit. Thank you Baltazar Team!

We visited on 05.09 in the evening and waited to be seated, the waiter made eye contact with us 3-4 times, but completely ignored us. It was not busy, there were only 2 tables occupied. After 10-15 minutes of waiting we left, and enjoyed a delicious meal at Maison Bistro just down the road, where we experienced amazing service!
