"Still in Italy but just a short distance from the French border, this restaurant boasts a spectacular terrace with views of the French coast that extend from Menton’s picturesque historic centre to Cap Martin (in high season, booking one of these much-coveted tables is recommended; the alternative is an attractive and elegant dining room). Despite the external focus on the French Riviera, talented chef Enrico Marmo’s cuisine brings us right back to Liguria. This young chef showcases top-quality regional ingredients such as Pigna beans and San Remo crayfish, and skilfully reinterprets Ligurian recipes with his own creative touch, sometimes offering two or more dishes based on the same theme. Choose from an extensive and creative surprise tasting menu or from a concise à la carte which includes specialities such as the Ravioli della Pina and the Ligurian-style roast rabbit that have featured on the menu since it opened in 1985. Here, the view, cuisine and interesting wine selection (ask enthusiastic sommelier Lorenzo for his recommendations) all come together to offer a truly unforgettable dining experience." - Michelin Inspector

We love this out of time spot on the Italian side right at the border with france! Retro-chic, the food is unbelievable (especially the fish and pastas); the spot is great, music very nice, the sea, beautiful… It’s a bit pricey of course but way less than the equally fancy spots in france, and way more elegant!

It was really nice to come to this restaurant after taking the train a long way into Italy. But the location of the restaurant is closer to the French border than the town to which the local postcode belongs. My wife and I felt that the whole menu didn't really appeal to us, even though we are big fans of fish. The highlight of the menu was undoubtedly the dessert, but it was way too big, they could have put all these ingredients nicely on one plate instead of serving it in six different bowls. The service was absolutely 5 stars, but the food and interior 4. My husband and I agreed that the room needed more warmth and the pictures on the walls did not fit into the overall picture.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere — the view was incredible and the vibe, as always, made this place feel magical. However, there were a few downsides: there was too much bread ( the bread selection was tasty and diverse, but there was simply too much of it) and the tasting menu lacked descriptions (I prefer to at least see the names of the dishes). There were no complimentary treats or petits fours with the coffee, which is usually a nice touch (Just as we’re used to with Michelin standards and how we love it! 😉 ). Additionally, the first two courses were overly salted — quite excessively so. It’s possible the head chef wasn’t working that day, and the oversalting may not have been his doing. In any case, this place remains our gem, and we absolutely love this restaurant. Highly recommended! Out of the seven-course menu, we particularly enjoyed the mushroom soup, which was outstanding, the Animella/miele with beluga(absolutely exquisite), and the apple tart with 🍥 cream for dessert — delicious! A special mention to the sommelier 🍇🥂🍷🍾, who was very friendly and professional🫶🏼. From the main menu , I highly recommend ordering the ravioli and the raw seafood/fish set — it’s the signature offering here . The chef🌟 puts in great effort and his talent is undeniable — no questions about that 🙏🏼♥️ And I forgot !!! the Arlecchino (delicate white fish with a crispy skin) grilled to perfection — it was absolutely wow! 🤩

We were very interested to try this place! I believe their Michelin star is definitely warranted! We had a truly wonderful experience. The location is breathtakingly beautiful! The restaurant is right on the water. We ate outside as a sunset, it was magical! The service was incredibly professional from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious! We all had the chefs surprised tasting menu, and I'm really happy that we chose to do that. It was an unforgettable, lovely experience, and I highly recommend it.

Michelin called, they want their star back. When we dined there was only one other couple in the restaurant the whole night. Seems about right. Two things separated this from a good review and a bad one. First, who serves sweetbreads with a Michelin prix fixe meal? The final main - sweetbreads and monkfish was inedible. The rankness of the sweetbreads and the sauce ruined the monkfish. Second, the sommelier tried to peddle some homemade (yes, really, homemade) kombucha as the final wine pairing. That also smelled so rank I finally had enough and had to ask for another glass of wine. I’ve done many Michelin one star dinners and this one didn’t rate.

Amazing place. First of all, easy to find, just after the border on the right. It was easy to park too. We sat inside and we had a lovely sea view but next time we will sit on the lovely terrace. The food was amazing - I felt like I was eating the sea… we went for wine pairing with Riviera wines and didn’t regret it. Lorenzo the sommelier is a a bit of a superstar! Not to forget the chef who we met at the end of the meal….extremely humble and nice person. We can’t wait to go back end of September! Bravissimo!!!!

Superb location, and very kind service, but food absolutely no value for the money. We went for the chef’s surprise menu, and although maybe some fine local ingredients had been used, the extremely small dishes made us realize this was not worth the €350 we have spent. In the end, we liked the complementary fruit the most. Within the 6 dishes the fish was hard to find, with the majority veg, and most embarrassing a small pizza which was just a one-bite. The largest dish was a plate of (good) bread.

This Michelin-starred Italian spot is a real gem. The ravioli is downright amazing—perfectly cooked pasta with a creamy, flavorful filling. The place has a classy vibe, and the service is top-notch. It’s the perfect spot for a special meal, where every bite is worth it.
