the place is fun and def underrated. drumsticks are huge giving homemade because texture and skin are so saucy but crispy. i took the fried chicken home they dont get soggy. even better if there’s more sauce to dip and open til late night

We checked this place out after finding it on TikTok, and the food was great—the Bam Bam chicken was sweeter and refreshingly different from most flavored fried chicken places I’ve eaten at. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has an overall good vibe to it. Would recommend.

My friends and I found this place on TikTok and were excited about how close it was to us. We got the chicken waffle sandwich and two chicken sandwiches. It was great, the chicken was crispy and had no fatty pieces. We also got two blue Hawaii drinks and it was good and sweet. I like the kiosk, I can see the full menu up close to decide what to eat. The worker was very nice and always smiled when talking to us. I definitely plan on coming back !

Me and my friends come here almost week school. The food is amazing and fresh. The workers are also very kind to everyone. The vibe is great

Good chicken sandwiches. I went close to midnight and they were still open. Nice service. Hot food. The spicy tenders were a little overcooked and the size of the regular tenders wasn't consistent (one was humongous, the other small), but taste-wise I liked everything. I recommend the sandwiches the most. Great new addition to Malden!

Quiet and clean street corner shop next to the T station. Tried the bbq braised pork sandwich and it was flavorful, so delicious that I even forgot to take pics of it. The food was coming out fast and the passion fruit lemonade was refreshing. Definitely worth a try.

I really like this place! The menu is huge with a lot of options. I got the Big Back Combo which comes with a deluxe chicken sandwich, crispy fries, a chick lemonade, and a toy. Everything was really good! The fries were super crunchy, the chicken sandwich had a lot of meat, the lemonade isn't too sweet or tart, and the toys are so adorable! To go, I got a waffle chickens sandwich and waffle with banana and Nutella. For a beverage, I got matcha lemonade. They have many lemonade flavors to choose from too. I'm gonna try the lychee lemonade next! I can't wait to come back!

The chicken had what appeared to be seamen on it tasted bleachy and salty! I couldn' believe it my wife loved it though!

Awesome freshly fried crispy chicken! A hugeeee piece of crispy chicken slapped inside a burger! I am not a fan of the bread they use for their sandwiches.. it was too flat and too dry not fluffy at all. French fries were okay, seems like the oil needs to be changed. I definitely think they need like a signature sauce to amp things up! They offer basic sauces but its not encouraged or advertised.. and also charge extra. Without sauce everything was dry so I ended up asking for ranch but it was okay. I do like the inside of the restaurant though, very fun decor and clean tables. Lots of seating as well. The staff was also very nice and they offer a self service ordering option as well.

First time in this place, looks like there are pretty good selection for the menu. Excited to try it since I'm still waiting for my food while writing this. Service was good since there isn't much people around this time.

While the interior was bright and new and their touchscreen ordering system is neat; their food is subpar at best. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich wasn't dry but wasn't juicy neither. The batter was on it was just average. Sweet bread buns was a nice touch and the cole slaw wasn't too overwhelming. There wasn't much sauce on the sandwich but it was like a mildly spicy barbeque sauce. The small waffles on the waffle chicken sandwich were OK, but the drizzle of condensed milk over the whole thing makes it very sticky to handle. The chicken soup was way overcooked. Everything was nearly a dissolved mush and the broth tasted more like a vegetable soup.

We gave them another try during their official opening weekend and they're definitely more organized but the food is still subpar. CHICKEN: We ordered the deluxe crispy sandwich due to their bogo deal. Unfortunately the chicken was not crispy at all. The cole slaw in the sandwich definitely adds some flavor and texture to the sandwich which I appreciated but probably wouldn't get it again. FRIES: The sweet potato fries were great though hard to mess up. Overall, our two visits ended in disappointment.

Just wanted to say Thank You so much to the restaurant and staff. My Grandson left his jacket and wallet behind and the restaurant had it there waiting for him. The honesty of the staff is what makes this business truly superb! My Grandson had a lot of money and gift cards that he recently received and it was all there. Thank you again! I'm sure good Karma will do this business well! My Grandson says the food is great too! I'm looking forward to trying it!

Had high hopes...but chicken was tough and dry frys were really greasy, "homemade" sauces were mid . Service was fine. The place itself was pretty cool though.

Solid fast casual spot for a chicken sandwich. We ordered the classic chicken sandwich and a fish sandwich. I have to say the fish sandwich impressed me the most. It was crispy and light and it's not often that there's good fish sandwich. The chicken was ok, it wasn't as crispy and not hot either. The sauces carried the meal but not as impressed.

The chicken wasn't as crispy as I would hope from a crispy fried chicken based shop. Also the fried Oreos are downright soggy. I live next door so traveling the ten feet from their storefront to my apartment shouldn't result in this.

Malden Center has changed and grown a lot since I was growing up there. The food scene especially, with tons of new restaurants popping up every year. I was excited to see a new fried chicken place, and went there for lunch today. There's a counter, but I used the touch screen at the front to order. It was very easy, but lacked product descriptions and used stock photos. When I saw the digital signs behind the counter, I felt like I had missed out on certain items because they weren't on the touch screen menu! I ended up getting popcorn chicken and fries. My food came out 10 minutes after I ordered. The restaurant was mostly empty, but at least I knew they weren't just microwaving my food. The place looked kind of bland and half-finished, with three small tables and only one real decoration, a neon sign that read "Who touched my chicken lol" When I opened my box in the car, I was initially disappointed. The chicken looked so pale, I was expecting mush. But looks are deceiving, because WOW. Juicy, flavorful, and so freaking good from the first bite. The "Bam Bam" sauce was incredible, like a pineapple chili hot sauce. The fries were good, cooked great and tasted nice. I wasn't expecting the food to be so good, but I'm very pleasantly surprised. With a little clean-up, and another minute in the fryer, this place could be one of the best places in Malden for fast casual chicken lovers like myself.

Bam Bam Chicken is hands down the worst restaurant in Malden. If I can give it negative stars, I would. The fried chicken here is subpar and cooked in cheap seed oils. All their ingredients are cheap. The service here is just horrible. The women who work here are rude, unprofessional and unhappy. Please train your employees to be kind and courteous.

Couldn't wait to try once I saw the sign go up, fantastic service, great food at a good value. We tried the spicy fried chicken along with both spicy and regular tenders All were moist, tasty with an awesome crunchy coating!

Oh. My. God. This is the most delicious and perfectly fried chicken I've had in 40 years on earth. My only complaint is that the fresh and crunchy cole slaw need a bit of acidity - maybe some vinegar - to balance the richness of the succulent chicken. 11 stars out of 10!

Poorly managed with lack of costumer service of FOH. Around 30 min wait for 4 orders of fried Oreos!! Don't even bother by! $25 straight to trash!!!

I've had spicy popcorn chicken, fries, a chicken waffle sandwich, and cookies & cream ice cream here and everything has been quite good. They have some exotic flavor options that I definitely plan to come back and try. Very friendly customer service as well. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood!

20 minutes of waiting for a crispy chicken sandwich and some fried chicken while I am the only customer in the store. The chicken in the sandwich was already cold and soggy when the fried chicken were ready. Definitely lack of proper time management during the food preparation. If I have this 20 minutes, I would rather go to TsaoCha nearby for their way better crispy fried chicken, and besides, they also have great bubble tea.

Just had the fish sandwich today from Bam Bam Chicken and it was delicious! Tasted really fresh, it was generously sized. I can't believe how good a fried fish sandwich could be - perfectly crispy, not greasy, not too spicy, and the pickle was the perfect addition! Also tried the cole slaw - I am partial to my mom's, but this one was up there! I had a chance to chat with the owner today, and she was super friendly and welcoming, I will definitely be back!

Ordered from them on doordash. The portion sizes are small. The chicken's batters falls apart..but at least it was crunchy and chicken is juicy on the inside. However for the price you pay... the food itself just didn't match my expectations for a $16 meal (combo). The experience is as if you open a present and see an disappointment of whats in it. That was my experience. The waffle for my order didn't have a waffle texture, just feel like a hard crunchy bread that is sweet due to the condense milk. If you want soft fluffy waffles, this place ain't it. For those who are wondering, I ordered their chicken waffles with sweet potato fries on the side.

Bam Bam Chicken is cashless, eating establishment that is fairly new to the area. You can order your food on the smart board/menu or at the register. You have to use a card to pay for your order.The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. I've ordered the chicken wings with fries and the chicken and the deluxe chicken sandwich with fries. The fries could stand to be cooked a little longer. The only thing I don't like is you have to order a side with the orders. You can't just order chicken or a sandwich alone. That's a bit of a bummer, other than that, it's a nice addition to Malden. It's located across the street from the Malden train station.

Chicken are small and overcook. Not all that great. Expensive for a regular chicken with nothing add on. Fried oreo is horrible and it not even properly fried. Soggy instead crispy.

For a new place I think this is a pretty strong start. Apparently unlike some other reviewers, my chicken was excellent. We had popcorn chicken and chicken strips, both of which were crispy and flavorful without being dry, along with what in my opinion were the best french fries in Malden. They were crispy and flavorful, including the sweet potato fries. Crispy sweet potato fries are RARE. I also liked the bam bam sauce although it may be too sweet for some people's tastes. Only taking a star off because our milkshakes were a little disappointing. Think we got ice based smoothies instead of the ice cream based milkshakes we asked for. Not sure I'd repeat the shake but I'd definitely get chicken and fries again.

Update: I returned to Bam Bam Chicken for lunch and had the crispy chicken sandwich and a small chicken soup. Both were delicious, and the sandwich was good sized. They don't sell bags of chips which would go well with the sandwich and soup, and I recommended to them that they might want to supply them. So, having already reviewed the chicken pieces I bought several days ago, I would stick to the chicken sandwiches rather than separate pieces, and do try the soup. A perfect lunch for under $20!

Waiting 35min for tenders on a slow day is crazy. Love the kiosk to order. But small portion and cold fries. Not worth the $$.

Their Waffle Chicken Sandwich is heavenly! The chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. The waffles are Belgium waffles. They taste like churros, covered by a crispy sugar-melt. It's an ubeatable savory-and-sweet combination!

When you walk into the restaurant you're prompted to use the touch screen to order, which is nice but the screen felt gross and there was no hand sanitizer available so you need to use the bathroom which doesn't have paper toilets. We ordered a 4 piece chicken, two sandwiches combos (one with fries and one with "soda"), chicken and waffles and two smoothies. I didn't hate but I def didn't love. First was disappointed in their "soda selection" I ended up grabbing a bottle of water instead of a soda. They didn't have fountain drinks and the sodas in the fridge did not seem that cold. Fries portion in the combo is very small. The four piece chicken was dry and cold. It came with two tenders and two drumsticks that were extremely dry so it was really disappointing. My kids said the smoothies were good and they enjoyed the chicken and waffles but the chicken sandwiches were just aiite. Our buns were stale and dry bc they crumbled to the touch. The chicken inside the sandwiches were juicy but lacked flavor. And the slaw was ehhh. But back to the bathroom. After we finished our meals, the men's bathroom had no toilet paper and the ladies room had gross floors and toilet paper was awkwardly put waay too close to toilet and hard to access unless you pull out ahead of time before sitting. Floors were disgusting in bathroom and in restaurant. I prob would never go back

Top tier chicken sandwhich shop conveniently located right next to the Malden MBTA station. I really enjoyed this tasty chicken sandwhich, top tier customer service and hope to return often.

I was so excited when they opened! The environment is casual and friendly, and the staff are all welcoming. Their smoothies are amazing and I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich!

Food was practically inedible. Got the spicy chicken sandwich and they just squirted some hot sauce and mayo in the center of the sandwich to make it spicy. The fried chicken breast in the sandwich was incredibly dry. Sweet potato fries were ok, basically the only thing edible. For dessert, we tried the fried Oreos which came out hot but soggy and oily. Do yourself a favor and don't come here.

Ordered a 4 piece fried chicken online for lunch, and again for dinner because I wanted everyone to try it. Fresh, crunchy fried chicken, ready faster than I could get there, not greasy. The spicy isn't particularly spicy, just enough to be interesting. Glad to have it in the area.

I was craving fried chicken all day. I ordered online for pickup at 6:08 pm (according to their website). I got a text that it was ready at 5:38 pm. It was supposed to be four pieces of fried chicken with Bam Bam sauce. I got home and opened the box and it was fried chicken pieces. Bits of fried dough with no chicken and a few remnants of fried chicken bits and NO SAUCE at all. It was disgusting and I will not be returning.

The building is cool and the way to order is nice. You can just walk in a order on the kiosk or go to the counter. The wait time though... was crazy long. I waited for maybe 30 to 45 minutes to get 4 pieces of chicken. The chicken was alright, but it wasn't anything that just would blow me away though. Even though I would have wanted that for the time I had to wait for it.
