First Time and searched a few places in Brockton. On holiday nothing was open but this place was. Food was delicious and the crab ragoon, beef teriyaki , spring roll were perfect & yummy! Poke bowls look great as well. Again Crab Ragoon again 100/100!!

Ordered here for the first time tonight because our usual place has been closed for renovations for the last several months. Placed an order for delivery online and scheduled to be delivered when we got home from work. Order was on time, driver was friendly and followed my delivery instructions. Food was good, portion sizes were a let down, for $80 it didn't seem like much food at all but the food was tasty, fresh, and I didnt have that post Chinese stomach uneasiness that comes from most places probably because the food wasn't super greasy which was nice. The boneless spare ribs had a good flavor but we're a bit on the dry/overcooked side, the chicken fingers were also good but some were dry and some were perfect. The white rice was fluffy but not mushy, the duck sauce was on point, the friend shrimp was good, the beef teriyaki was super tasty and the crab rangoon was DELICIOUS. I feel like the dryness can probably be explained by the fact that we were ordering for the first time on the busiest day of the year for Chinese food- New Year's Eve. Online ordering was easy but be forwarned that even though it doesn't say it anywhere, the online orders are fulfilled by DoorDash, which was kind of annoying because I specifically don't order through them anymore since every time I have ever ordered through DoorDash the prices are higher and the portions are significantly smaller than they would be if I just picked it up myself. Which honestly if I'm willing to pay for delivery I don't understand how it's ok for DoorDash to charge more PLUS charge a delivery fee for less food. We will not be ordering delivery again for that reason but we do look forward to trying takeout again sometime.

The bowls you serve contain Raw tuna and salmon. This is not stated on the menu ordered today I had to throw it away because of the raw tuna and salmon. When I called to complain the female bluntly shut me off. This is unacceptable and disgusting.

Google
Got the combination plate with yang chow fried rice crab Rangoon and chicken wings. Rice not fresh. You get 3 crab Rangoon and 4 wings not whole wings either for damn near 16 dollars. Crab Rangoon is just full of cream cheese nothing else..asked for wings well done and they weren't.. soggy as water. just terrible.. will not be going back

Google
My girlfriend and I were in the mood for takeout food, so we tried a place near us that we hadn’t had before. After trying to branch out to find new places to eat and were mostly underwhelming, Bamboo Cafe came through for us! We got the chicken pad they, vegetable Lo Mein, boneless spare ribs, and Ravioli. Everything was delicious and we definitely plan to go back. The spareribs and ravioli were especially delicious, probably the best we’ve ever had.

Worst food i ever tried .chicken wings was super oily curry chicken was tasteless no salt no taste ntg

Google
Chicken rice soup is not a homemade broth. It tastes like a combination of water and a whole bunch of soy sauce scallions and pieces of chicken not very good at all. The egg rolls are no longer full with wonderful vegetables. You bite into it and it just collapses down not much in the egg roll at all

Yelp
My wife and I stayed in Brockton recently for a nearby concert and decided to just wander around the area looking for food. We came across this little Chinese spot and decided to stop in. Boy, am i glad we did because the food here is excellent! First off, when I walked in, I was greeted with a smile from both of the employees, who were happy to take my order and even helped me save some cash, by offering the combo. (The combos are a steal for the amount of food you get). The place is very clean and surprisingly elegant for a Chinese takeout. I always say you can judge a Chinese takeout spot by its soup and let me tell you, the wonton soup is some of the best I ever had. The wonton has a nice bite to it and is packed with flavor. The broth is also seasoned very nicely and comes with large delicious roast pork strips. I ordered two more to go after eating here - it was THAT good. (As a side note, they also reheated very well and retained the aforementioned bite without getting mushy - it was a delight). My combo was General Tso's with beef teriyaki with white rice. We have some amazing Chinese food in New York, but the beef sticks here were beyond words. Everything was just so flavorful, I loved it so much. I WILL say that the appetizers on their own are priced way too high for what they are - higher than I've ever seen at any Chinese restaurant. HOWEVER, the combos are such a great deal that it doesn't even matter. Get the combo. You won't regret it. Oh and also they have what tastes like in-house duck sauce that was lusciously smooth and sweet. It didn't necessarily go with what I ordered, but next time I'm going to get spare ribs, because that duck sauce is to die for. All in all, if I'm ever in the Brockton/Easton area again, I am making a special stop over at Bamboo Cafe.

Dee J.

Yelp
Always friendly service from the team here and generally I love the basics (beef teriyaki, boneless spareribs, crab Rangoon and wings). The rice is elevated with a mixture of duck sauce and soy sauce, very aromatic. Tonight the appetizers were underwhelming, but for it to have been on the first time, I understood there can be on off night. The crab Rangoon never disappoints, though. I had egg foo young last week from another restaurant and it was so good, better than expected. I ordered it from here and yeah, complete 180, the gravy has a star anise taste to it, reminds me of the porridge I had in Jamaica on vacation and the egg foo young (chicken) has a bitter after taste. I wasn't a fan but maybe that's how it's supposed to taste.

Yelp
If you love sushi, you need to try their poke bowls. Fresh ingredients with fresh sushi salmon or tuna. Large portions and super filling.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Staff isn't always the friendliest, but they have excellent poke bowls. Fresh ingredients, good options, good quality salmon. Prices can be kind of high but the quality matches. Good scallion pancakes and lo mien as well. They have an efficient takeout system.

Yelp
I am come here for my break with my co worker . There food is great I usually get the beef and broccoli taste fresh and great service.

Yelp
Bamboo Cafe is a gem in Brockton! The staff is friendly and always smiling. The food is DELICIOUS! And the restaurant is very clean and comfortable. Ordered the Johnny Utah poke bowl, General Tso's chicken and beef teriyaki, and wonton soup. We loved the food so much, we ordered more to go for the rest of our stay in Brockton. Got the spicy chicken with peanut, pork egg foo young, crab rangoon, beef teriyaki and wonton soup. If you're in Brockton, definitely make this a stop! We love this place!

Febe M.

Yelp
The rice, scallion pancakes and ribs are good, but the chicken dishes were very hard and chewy. I feel like this is in many Chinese cuisine restaurants. The crab Rangoon shells are nice and crunchy, but the filling had too much cream cheese (we didn't taste the onion much).

Andrea Florentina M.

Yelp
Very good food, not greasy, super professional. A little bit on the expensive side but it tastes good.

Azaria R.

Yelp
Very nice staff. Always friendly. The food is delicious at a great price. Quick and convenient takeout spot. You can also sit in and eat

Mark D.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and orders are accurate and ready fast! Clean kitchen that you can see when you walk in the restaurant. Best in the area for Chinese!

Yelp
I ordered take out for pick up yesterday. The order was 15 minutes later than the time we were given, yet most of it was lukewarm or cool when I got it home 10 minutes later. packed well. I ordered based on many recommended reviews from friends and fellow Hockomock Swampies who rave about the food here. I ordered a small PuPu platter of 4 appitizers...crab rangoon, beef teriyaki, spare ribs, and egg rolls. No discernable crab, real or fake or flavor, the bottom of them were soggy; spare ribs were big, meaty and juicy, but reheated not fresh; egg rolls were extremely greasy and had no real meat, veggies or anything other than thoroughly soaked with grease taste; finally, the beef teriyaki was reheated so many times it was like jerky...inedible. For the main meal, I got House Special egg foo Yung and HS Chow Mein. Though the Egg Foo Yung was chock full of stuff, it too was overly greasy, but very tasty so I did eat it. The Chow Mein had little in it and appeared more like a soup. The "crispy" noodles that came with were not fresh, not crispy, and I paid an extra dollar for more and got a bag that was only half-filled. Even though it was a Saturday, and supper time, the store had a lot of orders sitting there waiting to go...and getting cold. There was only one woman there and she made me yell out my credit card #s instead of coming to get it..."I don't want Covid19. You stay there, I stay here". I didn't see anyone else in the front, but I was unnerved by having to yell out a personal identity issue. Look, I really dislike giving bad or not good reviews, it is not my general happy place of positivity and compliments. But, when something is disturbing on so many levels and all your friends disagree, it is a hard choice to do this. I hope the owner responds properly and doesn't try to blame it all on me, somehow. I'm not likely to return nor will I recommend Bamboo Cafe unless The owner gives me a responsible and satisfactory answer. We shall see. I apologize to all those who love this restaurant and have had great experiences. Mine was not and I feel compelled to be honest.

Yelp
Dining Room is very small one roll of booths, a roll with tables/chairs and counter with stools. Customer Service - The waitress was nice while while taking our dine in order. After food was served she never asked my husband and I about our food or we wanted any refills. Food - Hot, fresh, and very tasty. The meal was so good the continuous take out traffic was barely noticed. We ordered House Fried Rice, Pu Pu Platter for two, and Lobster Sauce. We will definitely order food for take out.

Yelp
Hmm I actually forgot that I had ordered delivery from Bamboo way back. It sucked then and still does! My bad and the big mistake tonight was being rushed into a Chinese delivery lot of commotion at home and I just don't have a go to Chinese delivery anymore. Chinatown has been a disappointment to me but I may have to crawl back. So the most basic of dishes house fried rice was lacking for anything more than rice as in whats the point. The egg foo young was Ok. The shrimp with lobster sauce drew a not sure I like this shrimp comment. Previously frozen of course but tasteless and finally the orange flavored beef and I paid extra for extra beef was just OK. Containers were med sized not large. Small container of white rice at 4.95 the profit on that rivals popcorn. Cost of $70 with food, door-dash, tax and tip is regrettable. Subs or pizza would have done the trick for less than half. So not the worst in the world, no bugs, didn't get sick but by Yelps rating "could have been better." Much better.

Rich C.

Yelp
I feel as if when I rate a Chinese food restaurant, it is based on price, cleanliness, consistency and interaction with staff. The food is what you would expect, it is Chinese food. You cannot go wrong getting take-out or delivery from here. Clean, accurate, kind staff and reasonable prices. The food is consistent.

Marc S.

Yelp
Had impromptu visit from relatives, ordered takeout. Was ready in 20 minutes, had extreme covid precautions, bags were ready to go. All employees behind glass, ran credit card and left with food. without a doubt the best hot and sour soup I have ever had, so much in it is more like stew. Relatives are from NY and one commented it was the best Chinese food he ever had. Big hits were General Gau chicken, the special lo mein, Crab Rangoon and the Shrimp with lobster sauce. This is a definitely a go to place for excellent Chinese food takeout.

Yelp
Scallion pancakes are amazing here! As are their teriyaki chicken, chicken& broccoli, spicy tofu garlic, chicken wings, veggie Lo mien..... We order here ALL the time and the food is ALWAY good. We mostly order takeout and they're ALWAYS super quick (15 mins of ordering). The staff is friendly and the pricing is fair. The place is clean too!

Yelp
We were so thankful that they were still delivering at 9:00 P.M on a Sunday and that they had no problems delivering to a lone semi parked outside of a business. They had the food to us, still piping hot in roughly 25 minutes and we were pleased. We ordered pork lo mein which was quite tasty and had a good pork to noodle ratio. I love when they use the authentic thin noodles instead of the doughy fat ones. The pepper steak was amazing. Definitely my favorite part of what we ordered and had the most delicious sauce ever. Don't be afraid to dip those egg or spring rolls, people! I was a tad bit disappointed in the fried rice as it really didn't have much of a flavor and was a bit hard. I love when they had green onions and assorted spices to it and this was lacking. Pepsi products only and decent spring rolls. We will definitely be back when we're delivering in South Easton.
google avatar

Yelp
Standard Chinese takeout. Big plus for being seemingly clean, it's great that you can look through the window into the kitchen and see everything that's going on. Chinese restaurants tend to be a bit sketchier on that end. Had a chicken and broccoli dinner combo w/ boneless spareribs and crab rangoon. Pretty good for Chinese takeout. Food came out super fast like less than 10 min. 2 stars for the food b/c it's pricey for the amount you get for eating in.

Yelp
Finally, my search for a decent Chinese near me is over, thanks to Bamboo Cafe! Full marks for this place based on what it is, its not fine dining or some eclectic gastro pub, its a Chinese takeout and cafe, but its one of the best and i believe deserves this kind of recognition. Located in a strip Mall close to the Easton/Brockton line, this place is snuggled in pretty good, in fact we drove past it and had to double back and am i glad we did. With seating for about 20-30 people we had no problem finding a seat on a relatively quiet Wednesday night, when i say quiet, i mean seating wise, the phone was ringing off the hook the entire time we were there and pick up of take out food was constant, and here's why. Exceptionally fresh food served in a clean environment with an open kitchen. Fantastic Chinese/American staples including awesome sweet and sour chicken, spare ribs, egg rolls, General chicken, Szechaun beef and crab rangoon, everything you come to expect! We ordered off the combination page that also let you add the amount of apps you wanted, 2 or 3, honestly, 2 was enough for us. I had sweet and sour chicken, egg roll, boneless ribs and pork fried rice, all cooked fresh and tasted amazing. #2 had chicken and broccoli, veggie fried rice and crab rangoon, another incredibly fresh dish, the chicken and broccoli was one of the best i've had. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I'm so happy to have found this place and looking forward to heading back on a regular basis!

Yelp
Don't like giving out poor ratings but this is one of the most bland Chinese food I've ever had. Can't recommend.

Sylvia Perdomo P.

Yelp
I was very upset because my food was burnt I called and the lady that answered thought it was funny I spent $30 she Was very rude it's too bad I had been ordering from them for about two years but will no longer order from there

Yelp
Tasty food.We loved the beef Teriyaki and Singapore noodles.Fast, fresh &friendly service.

Yelp
Bamboo Cafe is a great alternative to your average greasy Chinese takeout joint. This restaurant is clean, and the food is too. The kitchen is in open view, so you can watch the cooks work their culinary magic. I've ordered the Kung Pao chicken (amongst other tasty items), and it's spicy & delicious, with just the right mix of fresh vegetables and sauce. It's great to eat over white rice. The crab rangoons are also delectable. There is no alcohol served or bar here, but there are several tables to dine-in and the quality will more than make up for skipping out on adult beverages.

Yelp
Talking about no frills when you enter you feel like you shouldn't be there as an eat in customer. There is barely a picture on the wall to be found ! The food was just average . I had the shrimp with Lobster sauce luncheon combo. The language barrier was really uncomfortable as the kid just kept running away from the table because he couldn't or didn't want to me to speak with him ! I wanted a box to take home the leftovers and that felt like I was trying to do the impossible . He just didn't get it. This should just be take out only . Come on people !
google avatar

Laurie D.

Yelp
The food is fantastic!! But when do you ever order from a Chinese restaurant and rice doesn't come included with your main dish. I had food delivered to a semi truck and was very disappointed when I opened my bag and there wasn't rice inside. I called the place and they told me that you need to order it separately. I got general tso s chicken and spicy broccoli with spring rolls came to 31 plus a tip. Just don't understand why??? Every other place I have ordered from gives you rice with the meal. I don't like to be nickeled and dimed for stuff like that. Just a cheap why to be...
google avatar

Stacie R.

Yelp
Not sure why their rating is as low as it is. We always get take out and the food is always so good. Everything is hot and fresh. We don't go anywhere else.
google avatar

Katerina S.

Yelp
This is an awful place. First of all, the smell inside the cafe is just like in a public restroom. And I don't even mean the one that smells like cherry... Secondly, the decision to take orange flavored beef was also one of the worst decisions in my life. I hardly found a sign of meat inside those dough pieces. Don't really think they added any... Do not recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Margaret F.

Yelp
Great for a college student, especially the dinner combination plates. So much food for not a lot of money, very tasty!

Alyssa S.

Yelp
I used to order from here allllll the time, twice a week sometimes, until I got a hair in my container of crab Rangoon. i threw it away in the trash at work and gave them a call to ask for a refund - as I was on the clock and unable to go back in - she told me to bring the food back when I could in the next couple days and I could get a refund. I told her it was already in the trash and I wasn't going to go picking it out and she told me unless I brought the food back she would not refund me.. so I'm out $20 and I'm still hungry and to top it off when I said finding hair in your food is disgusting, she laughed at me! Beware, the customer service couldn't be worse.....
google avatar

Gemini A.

Yelp
Ample parking. Non attentive staff. It took nearly 20 MINUTES for wait staff to come to our table. Let me stress that we were the ONLY and I do mean !ONLY! customers in the place--- Went with a co worker. We went to walk out and then someone came over. We ordered. The food was nothing great. Gave me a stomach ache. You can get a meal like this next to any Boston Check Cashers joint near Mass Ave. Which is ridiculously Questionable and gross. Mid way during our meal, a woman began SWEEPING under our table. SWEEPING! Dust, dirt, and scum swarming about while we attempted to enjoy pur meal-- Can't remotely recommend this place.
google avatar

Jasmine B.

Yelp
lo mein was great and was done fast, friendly staff. picked up order as soon as i walked in and tables to sit at were blocked because of covid. still great service.
google avatar

Dawn A.

Yelp
Typical Chinese-American fare. The Orange flavored beef was good, as was the egg roll. The waiter was super friendly and very nice. The prices were reasonable. My guy and I both got combination plates and our bill was $26.00. Be advised that there is no liquor license here, no beer/wine. The one thing I would have improved is the fried rice. No egg in this rice. It was a little dry, too. For the convenient location, reasonable prices and pretty good food, this place hit the mark. It's clean and has an open kitchen. Service was great.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
Ive been here several times since it has opened. Ive only ordered the dinner specials. Beef w/peppers and onions is very good, very tender beef and the vegetables are not over cooked or mushy and it is not overloaded with sauce which is a huge plus in my book. Ive have ordered this w/the boneless ribs which are cut thin but not overcooked and the chicken wings that are crispy but not fried out. Moving on to the shrimp w/lobter sauce. the sauce was a little loose on the 1st try but they redeemed themselves on the next shot no black beans which is ok w/me, 5 decent size shrimp round out the dish. I have not tried the pork fried rice, i like the white (personal preference). I have ordered the pan fried dumplings , not bad ! taste like they make them there. not to doughy. The sauce is a little strong on the vinegar but not to bad that you cant use it, I prefer mine a little on the sweet side.
google avatar

Jemilee M.

Yelp
Oh Bamboo...what happened to you? This place is not the same. It used to be the only descent Chinese option for Easton but now I'll have to drive to Chinatown in Stoughton. The food is so different and not bueno. The pork fried rice is a pale yellow with no pork or anything except onions and looks more like Mexican rice. The chicken fingers and teriyaki are tiny and not so tasty. Pork ribs and dumplings are still good thus, one of the 2 stars. Service and price are also good - the other star. Don't waste your money and just go to Chinatown.
google avatar

Ana O.

Yelp
Just got ripped off. Spent over $50 in food. Paid $8.50 for large portion of Boneless spare ribs and $9.95 for Orange Flavor Chicken large. (Today you could only buy large portion , no combination which would of been better and cheaper). The large size of the boneless spare ribs is so tiny can't only feed one person. We had to wait over 1hr 30mins for the food, understandable knowing it's New Years Eve but don't rip hard working people off. Never going there again taking my money somewhere else.
google avatar

Shisheen H.

Yelp
Tried the Chicken pad Thai and it was excellent. You do receive a large plate for the average dinning price. The place was clean, the waitress was good. It would have been nice if coffee was served too.

Amanda R.

Yelp
This Chinese restaurant is awesome. I like how clean it is when you first walk in and you're able to see the chefs cook your meal since there's a glass door that lets you look at everything in the kitchen! There are a few booths to sit down and enjoy your meal along with a television towards the back. The portions at this restaurant are generous which is what I love because you're able to have leftovers the next day considering that certain someone doesn't kill all the crab rangoons :p. Their crab rangoons are lightly fried, savory, crispy and they pack them well with the crab meat. Sometimes, other restaurants skimp and this place doesn't do that. Their dinner combination plates are a great deal because you're able to choose two appetizers which are egg rolls, spring roll, chicken wings, chicken fingers, fried wontons, crab rangooms, boneless ribs, chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, fried shrimp and pork strips; that's just the beginning because you have to choose your entree which comes with rice or lo mein. My favorite so far is their beef lo mein because lightly sauced with shredded vegetables and I must say, sooo good! The beef is nice and tender and seasoned well. The staff are friendly and patient when you're trying to figure out what to get! You know, I will be back!

Mandy T.

Yelp
Still a 5. I come here every so often, it's the only place from Braintree to Raynham with good Chinese food. I like the fact that you can see in the kitchen and it's clean. The dining room wasn't as clean as it usually is this time around, but I came on a Friday and they were running around getting orders like crazy. There's not much else to say, fresh, good, tasty.

Yelp
Love their food! Always get it when I'm in town from Chicago! The delivery driver WAYNE is the best!!

Yelp
Great food. Love their crab Rangoon. Some of the best around. Portion and prices are worth it!!

Yelp
Pretty standard Americanized Chinese Food restaurant. Nothing original on the menu setting it apart from other Chinese food restaurants in the area. Due to their quick service I've never had any problems getting in and out before the end of my one hour lunch break. The service is always attentive and they always bring out the food while it is still steaming hot. The chicken wings are my favorite thing on the menu and are crispy and flavorful. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Looking forward to returning.

Patty S.

Yelp
I have been eating Chinese food for as long as I can remember. But tonight, I can tell you I have a new favorite! I ordered the chicken Lo Mein, chicken wings and spring roll. I loved how fresh the food was. The flavor was delicious! The service was rapid and courteous. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes!

Alan S.

Yelp
The worst chinese food i've ever had, they charge extra for duck sauce and mustard. Rice was very dry and chicken wings were dry and burnt. Stay away, the worst ever.....
google avatar

Brandon N.

Yelp
I always saw this place while having breakfast at neighboring stonebridge but never thought to try it until recently and i have been hooked ever since! Inside is very clean, very polite, glass windows so you can see your food being food and a new age taste that is something to write home about. I so far have had nothing to complain about. It is also lighter than most heavier greasy chinese you find around town. If you are a fan of lobster sauce, their's is AWESOME! And Massive shrimp included! This places is a winner!
google avatar

Caro J.

Yelp
Love this place. I live in Easton and used to travel to Hong Kong in Taunton to get the best chinese food. But Bamboo is up there with that. I have never eaten here, only gotten takeout. Their fried rice is amazing. The only thing that could make it better is if they put a little scrambled egg in it. But otherwise, its great. The food is never overcooked or burnt, in my opinion. It's not overly greasy. The ingredients always taste fresh. I usually order from the appetizer side with some orange chicken or beef & mushroom. Never had a bad meal here, I would highly recommend!

Yelp
Warm, friendly welcome. Hot, fresh fast food and service. Very clean and cozy. Always fresh food and clean environment.

Mark R.

Yelp
The food is very good. It's clean and light not heavy like some Chinese restaurants. The ambience is very lacking however. I like the kitchen area you can see what's goi g on, all glasses in. I was not impressed at all with the younger female attendant/ waitress. No eye contact. No thank you. No engagement at all. She must be a family member who was forced to work tonight and it showed. They have a TV going on wall but how about some soft Asian music to set a mood. Again food is good but it's just such a sterile environment. Eat and go kinda fealing. Not welcome feeling at all. I guess if your getting take out no big deal and again food is good. They could do so much better with eat in if they tried to be nice and engaging to people. All the order taker did was play on her phone.
google avatar

Pete G.

Yelp
The food is very good, super fresh and the portion size is fantastic. The items on the menu are very affordable and great for college students. My biggest complaint though is the service. They are very slow and they don't seem to be very personal and warm. Overall, for the price ad quality of the food I would highly recommend, jet do take out instead of a sit down dinner

Dan P.

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese takeout in a 50 mile radius. All of the food I have had is very fresh and tastes great. They even have glass around they're kitchen and everything looks super clean inside there. None of this food is sitting under a heart lamp, it's made to order. The rice is delicious as it's any of the standard menu items like boneless ribs, chicken teriyaki, etc. I drive over 20 minutes each way to come pick up our orders. Thank God we're outside of their delivery area or we'd be ordering everyday! I have to add that I have no idea how this place is averaging less than 4 stars... What are people comparing this to? If anyone that rated this place less than 5 or 4 stars could point me to better Chinese takeout in the area I will PayPal you $20.. Serious. If you are trying to pick Chinese takeout, do not hesitate... You will not be disappointed.
