Bamboo Downtown Detroit

Rented the Brainstorm Room for a team meeting with some folks from out of town and it worked perfectly! Very smooth process, great vibe, and no interruptions. I would 100% rent a space here again!

Disappointed with my experience. I had a meeting scheduled which I ended up not having in the space I’d scheduled due to the fact the person I was meeting with had been made to feel uncomfortable and didn’t feel welcome staying there. I was very confused with the condescending tone of the conversation had with a team member and moreover the fact that I later emailed to share my concerns and that of my client who had initially expressed obtaining a workspace at Bamboo prior to her negative experience. The email response I received was further dismissive and when I requested a meeting or call to share what my concerns were, what could have easily been addressed and done with, led to another email being sent out from Bamboo informing the non profit I serve that NO one from the non profit was to contact them other than the CEO. I’m expressing my concern here in the hope that others will not have to feel like myself, my client and her baby daughter who was present.

We partnered with Bamboo to use their conference room for a client project downtown. Working with the team there was easy and they were very flexible. It was a clean wonderful space and we are so grateful for their help.

I attended Craft & Chill after hours and had a great time coloring, making a had turkey and networking with local entrepreneurs. I will be back next time! 10/10 Highly recommend!

The staff is very kind and the coworking is the best price-value compared with the rest of the ones in Downtown Detroit. Plenty of desks and was very quiet the day I went.

Bamboo is a great space for creators (like me), business owners and entrepreneurs to grow in the space. I’ve met so many new people and grown my business. I recommend Bamboo to anyone looking to network and get some things done. They have a podcast room, separate spaces to work.

Easy to book/reserve, room was useful and entire space was well kept and thought through to accommodate us. Would be great to have longer hours👍🏻

Everything we wanted and more! My colleagues and I seek out local coworking spaces when traveling for work. We were all super impressed by the space, the amenities, and the staff. Highly recommend working here on your way through town. We’d be members if we were based here!

The new Ann Arbor location is beautiful and functional! Went to a summer happy hour event they hosted which was set up in their indoor/outdoor rooftop area. Nice looking space, a rare rooftop in Ann Arbor, and perfect for some drinks/snacks and mingling!

Came for an art exhibit for Ari B, a local photographer. The event was very well laid out and the refreshments were great. It was an overall good experience. The team did a great job

Bamboo is by far the best co-working space. If you are a local or growing company and are looking for a home for your business. Bamboo is the place to be! You will be surrounded by friendly staff + incredibly amazing local entrepreneurs. P.S. they have really fast WiFi by Rocket Fiber and free delicious coffee by Ashe Supply.

Awesome space and staff. Check it out. The people who started and run this place are committed to Detroit. Great idea and concept.

This is the second time we had the opportunity to use this shared office space. Both last time and this time, we walk into a clean, well taken care of space. We were able to easily rearrange the room to accommodate what we needed. There were adequate chairs and tables. Our event went really well, and was well attended. The only downside was not being able to find the door stop so we could prop the door open. This became a hassle when you were the person on the outside of the door and were not able to catch anyone's attention.

Amazing place to work. Bamboo hosts engaging events and support entrepreneurs from all walks of life. I have formed professional relationships here and have received help from other professionals on my own business! Thank you Bamboo Detroit for helping my company get stuff done!

My review is NOT based on the space. It is based on my interactions trying to get a space. I called at approximately 9:30am. The system seemingly forwarded me to someone who sounded like he was awaken by the call itself. I tried to inquire about about renting conference or office space for a short term need as well as applying to become a member. The person, "Yao" was not interested. Besides seeming surprised by the call and not identifying the call for Bamboo (he picked up saying "hello") , he acted like I was wasting his time. He told me the space was not available, yet supposedly didn't have his calendar in front of him. I asked how did he know then. "I (he) just know cause we give tours every day." I then asked if I they could accommodate me by charging me the rate to rent the conference space but allow me to use one of the unused offices. Again he quickly shut me down and said "I am the office manager and I say "no"" Ok. Then when I asked about membership he said, "It's not cost effective for you". Really? Amazing how he was able to deduce that without asking my needs, usage, goals, budget, etc. They identify themselves as "Bamboo is a welcome matt (it's spelled wrong their site) for businesses entering the city." Apparently "Yao" didn't read that part. Too bad.
