We ordered over $150 worth of food from Bamboo Garden (totaling $175 with tax, tip, and delivery) the day before New Year’s Eve, 2025 through the Grubhub app. The delivery was on time and the driver followed instructions to a tee. Unfortunately, that was the best part of our experience.
Most of Bamboo Garden’s food was absolutely horrible and we ended up tossing out just over half of it… in more ways than one. Several of the appetizers we ordered were great, like the Boneless Spare Ribs, the Beef Teriyaki, and the Chicken Wings. But the Egg Rolls were crunchless, dry, and chewy while the filling for the Crab Rangoon had somewhat of a sour taste (We’re pretty sure that it was the soured cream cheese what made us sick a few hours later).. Sadly, one would be hard pressed to find any beef (or flavor) in the Beef Fried Rice which was so light in color, we nearly mistook it for White Rice. Likewise, the Chicken Chow Mein was over cooked, tasteless, and conspicuously lacked the main ingredient (chicken). On the other hand, the Pork Fried Rice and General Gau’s Chicken were fairly good, but just so-so compared to other Chinese and Asian restaurants in and around the Manchester area.
All in all, Bamboo Garden skewered us in the end with a meal that was mostly lackluster and made us sick on a day we should have been celebrating with family. Instead, we were all left ailing and in no mood to socialize other than to share opposite ends of the sofa.
I still can’t think of Bamboo Garden’s Crab Rangoon without my stomach turning and we will never, ever order from them again.
