Came here when Hong Kong 1 was closed from the car crash... Spent $60... Everything, and I mean all of it - was inedible. Bland. Mushy noodles. Duck sauce couldn't even save it. Do not recommend. Hong Kong 1 is the best in the area, HANDS DOWN.

Good food, served with veggies that are still crispy, and good flavor in the sauce. $14 got me a large enough portion for two meals, and I am not a small person or light eater.

The size of the serving compared to the cost is worth every penny. Got chicken lo mein combo platter for $10.50. I could eat what they gave me for 3 days. Enormous serving size! 5 stars for service. 4 stars for taste. Ask for extra sauce or show up earlier than I did. Made my order in store when they were supposed to be closed but they took care of me and fed me like a king! Staff is awesome!

Google
The most disgusting food I've ever eaten in my whole life!! I was expecting somewhat good with the reviews but I was shocked with the opposite. Mall food taste better than this. It seems like they cook for several days and leave it soaking in heating plates... maybe we went on the last day of life of that food cause all vegetables were soggy af. Very oily sauces. The fried pork rice wasnt fried, was steam rice and EVERYTHING lacked flavour. Idk how people here saying they had plenty food for 2 meals... when half of the order is soggy vegetables drowned in sauce. The wonton soup super bland as the rest of the food, it even tasted undercooked. The staff is very friendly so thats good .. but sorry, aint going back never again. Would not recommend unless you have an awful taste in food.

Taste really good can't beat the prices! The lo-mein, chicken, salads, and soup is very amazing. Very filling unlike most foods and gives a warm feeling inside. This food is amazing for dinner, dates, take out, and all special occasions. I experienced an amazing time here. The cook or chef is amazing at what they do. The manager is very understanding and works for perfection and strives for it every day. I have came on multiple occasions and you can't beat it.

Yelp
They are very pleasant! I ordered 3 large Wonton soups and I asked them if they put the roast pork in there soup and they said no BUT the lady said if asked we will do it in which she did. I also ordered steamed dumplings, the meat of the dumplings were absolutely delicious and were freshly made. The soup has wonderful flavor. They were very nice and the food is absolutely delicious. I lived in the Poconos for 18 years and never tried this spot from now on I will be ordering from Bamboo House.

Yelp
I have been going to Bamboo house for 18 years back when they served sushi the waitress dressed in lovely Japanese store and it was a wonderful experience the owners were great with my young son he loved wontons and they had a young granddaughter and they both played and ran around the restaurant the owners the daughter everyone was wonderful the food was above fantastic. I think they tooua hard but during Covid and weren't able to acquire all the necessary ingredients. Planning to go for my birthday Feb 14th I'll never have a bad word to say about this family run business trying there best in these difficult times.

Yelp
Had food from here today. Fried rice was very good and tasted fresh. Egg rolls were good too. Generals chicken was made without all the breading. Definitely different. Big piece's of white meat chicken in generals sauce. We also enjoyed the shrimp and lobster sauce. Overall everything was very good and fresh. Place is now take out only and is also closed 3 days a week so check before you go.

Yelp
The person who assisted with the order was very nice. The food itself was the worst I've ever had. The chicken and broccoli was swimming in watery liquid - the broccoli was completely over cooked. The lo mein was extremely greasy. It was a large order and much of it went in the trash.

Yelp
I have tried many Chinese restaurants in the Pocono area and this is by far the best. I have been going here since the mid 90's and have never been disappointed. I currently live in NYC and Bamboo House is better than 95% of what I would consider Chinese/American food there. I mean, I have been to more traditional spots that I prefer which offer entrees such as eel, chicken feet and pig intestine, but for what we as Americans consider "Chinese food", the Bamboo House is certainly up there.

Yelp
My wife and I love this restaurant! Great food and always fresh! The wontons and duck sauce are all homemade and wonderful. They have a really good General Tso's Chicken like no other! I highly recommend the Kung Pow Chicken as well.

Yelp
The food is not that great. also if you're looking for Chinese food like your used to in the tri state area this is not it. I did not really understand on the phone what they meant about the sauce until i got it, chicken with broccoli is supposed to be with a soy sauce type sauce and this was "white" as they said. it really just tastes very bland like a oil sauce or chicken franchise without the lemon. someone else got sesame chicken but it's just not what we were expecting. i do not recommend

Yelp
One of the worst Chinese meals my wife and I have ever eaten! Everything was SUPER SWEET. That's what we tasted - sugar. My wife ordered steamed tofu and broccoli with fresh ginger and even that was "sugar coated". If you like sweet food go but if not avoid Bamboo House at all costs.

Yelp
Great service and food! So sorry they are selling their business but I have heard they have been there for a long time. It's one of the last few true Chinese restaurants that I remember as a child. Now a days, there is primarily just take out where you usually cannot or do not want to sit to eat. But, I will enjoy them while I'm here! Very generous portions that require a box to take home for another day! Try the tin foil chicken appetizer. It's so GOOD!

Yelp
Best kept secret in the poconos!! They have great food and great pricing. The owners are super nice and treat you very well. I take my family there a few times a month and every visit is just great. I wish more people would share their location as it's great food

Yelp
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The owners are friendly. The food is always fresh and tasty. Our family loves the Bamboo House. The food is not a typical Chinese food that I consider "fast food" as this is fresh and clean. The chicken dishes are fresh white meat chicken and not covered in syrup type sauces. Highly recommend!

Hayden V.

Yelp
Personally I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. The chicken was 100% white meat and the best Chinese I've had. The homemade duck sauce was to die for. Highly Recommend

Yelp
The sushi bar was closed. The owner was nice enough to remind us it was not authentic Chinese food. As to the food, the spring row was okay and the noodle soup was good. However, the roast pork tasted like being sitting in the fridge for at least a week and the broccoli tasted bitter. The slow business might be one of the reasons for the unfreshness of the food.

Yelp
Enjoyed my dining experience. Food was good and server was courteous and attentive. Felt welcomed.

Yelp
Great service, this place knows what it's doing. Firstly, don't read into these rumors about owners changing hands. That's bullocks. Same owner, same great food. Their wonton soup is the best I've had. They make the noodles around the pork nice and thin so that you're not just eating a bunch of noodle. I almost always get the lo mein here, and it's always great. Egg Rolls are kind of bland, but most places are. As far as dine-in places go, the atmosphere is superb. They recently stopped playing music, so i was a little put off by that... but not a big deal. Great place if you love Chinese cuisine

Yelp
I do have to say food wise this is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. But there are a few things I wasn't happy with. First I ordered Pork fried rice no vegetables there's a 3 dollar extra charge which is rediculouse. Second issue is that the waiter added the tip in for a party of 3. I have been there many times with just my daughter and have always tipped n but I decided how much. It should be up to me how much to tip. There excuse was the waiter felt uncomfortable. The only possible reason for that is because we sent rice back because it came out wrong. But if I am paying 3 dollars extra don't you think I should get what I ordered. Like I said the food is not an issue.

Yelp
food is awesome. My husband and I go frequently. Love their orange chicken

Yelp
Came here with my brother who lives up here in Marshalls Creek. We ended up sitting down. The food doesn't disappoint and the atmosphere was nice as well. One sure fire way to know if you can trust a place is the cleanliness of the silverware and glassware. Everything is spotless. If you find yourself in the Poconos..give them a try.

Yelp
The Pocono's best Sushi restaurant - You must try the Shrimp & Smoke Roll and the Bagel Roll
