They don't know how to make a drink. I know how to make my favorite drinks. They didn't add anything to it. The mule tasted like there was no alcohol. Menu was left when everyone else's was picked up. To boot she assumed I would pay for the person next to me because I'm a man. I started to feel singled out and I was very polite. Yes she got 0 tip.

The Bamboo Room is great. It is located upstairs from the main area of Bamboo Penny's. It's a great place to come for their reverse happy hour which is from 10PM-11PM Friday-Saturday. They have a normal happy hour from 3PM-6PM weekdays which is amazing. The prices are great and food and drinks are great. We typically get Victor as our server and he's always nice, respectful, and personable. I will definitely be returning and I recommend you to come here as well.

Really great ambiance and delicious food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I love the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. Reminiscent of Saigon 39.

It was my first time at Bamboo Penny's. I made a reservation a few days prior, upon arrival I was redirected to the second floor in the Bamboo room and was seated promptly. For appetizers I ordered the pan seared dumplings and the shrimp in the blanket. The sauce for the dumplings was so good. I loved the crispness of the dumplings. Shrimp isn't always my favorite, but I enjoyed the shrimp in the blanket. For my main dish, I ordered the Gaprow with beef and medium spice. Honestly I ate without leaving a crumb. The gaprow was really seasoned and just the right amount of spice as mentioned. For my cocktail I got the Aphrodite Redux as recommend by our waitress. It was really good, not overly sweet and I could taste the alcohol. Our waitress was great, she was attentive and gave recommendations. I loved the environment of the bamboo room, it was clean and inviting. The decorations were great. They apparently have bands play on Friday night at 9 pm, it will be a nice evening for those interested. I will definitely go back.

Disappointed in two out of three meals! Usually delicious food but had a very dry Pad Tai and terrible fried rice last night that cost over $40! The dumplings were as good as usual and the stir fry was tasty. Not going back anytime soon!

Tired of our usual happy hour spots around KU Med, my coworker and I decided to drive to Leawood to have dinner and drinks at the Bamboo Room. Happy hour is from 4-6 on weekdays so be sure to leave the office a little early! Also, reservations are recommended as it got pretty packed in there. The polynesian inspired rooftop venue brought me back to my Hawaii days, and the food was delicious! I ordered the yellow seafood stir-fry that was topped with a generous amount of soft-shelled crab, and it was amazing! To top it off the staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. With all that being said, I look forward to our next happy hour at the Bamboo Room!

With restaurant week currently happening a few friends and I decided to try this place out. We all got different appetizers but all got the same main course which was the Crispy Mango Duck. There was nothing that stood out about the appetizers, the duck while good was a bit on the dry side with how they breaded it and deep fried it. The dessert were the highlight of the visit. They were absolutely amazing!!

The food is really good and the location at Park Place is upscale. Perfect for a girl friends lunch, date night, or out of town company.

This is my first time here, I love the happy hour drinks and small bites. enjoy my day off.
