Meh. Bamboo seems to be going further downhill. This photo is of the scallop roll we ordered, which you can see features hardly ANY scallop at all!!! And most just stuffed with BS cucumbers. If we wanted a cucumber roll — we would have gotten one. We alerted our server to this issue (why does everyone who work at this particular location seem to be fresh out of high school?) and he went back to the kitchen, where they plopped an appropriate amount of actual scallops back on top. Also, it was an extremely hot muggy day and ALLLL their doors were open, which was unbearable and how and disgusting. No escaping the heat here. It also creates for a really noisy and unpleasant, non intimate environment with all of the noise from the parking lot right outside. This is my least favorite Bamboo location by FAR. Again — super mehhhh. Also — why are there sprouts on EVERYTHING? Omg. Seriously so unnecessary. There are waaaayyyyy better/more authentic/more fish sushi places around for the same-ish price point.

Google
Usually sit down sushi places often don't justify the price, but here they actually hit the mark. I'd be lying if the rainbow roll I ordered didn't have delicious fresh fish with perfectly cooked rice. I'm not a fan of the QR code menu. The options were limited, there is no classic Philadelphia roll or dynamite roll you can find at every other sushi joint. I wish they had these options, even if it's not an "upscale" dish.

Google
Been here several times since they opened. Always great service. Gets busy so reservations are recommended to setup at least a few days to a week in advance, especially for larger groups. Very modern crisp and trendy space but not all that big inside - extra seating on the patio, too bad they don't utilize it during the winter for extra seating even though they have heaters, would have to wrap the patio like a tent, which they don't currently do. Outdoor patio is nice in the warmer months and is covered but without walls. Reservation system has always been great, anywhere from 4-9 people, have to call for over 4, but online system is accurate and easy. Never had any issues waiting with reservation and table(s) have always been ready. Tried walk-in service, very long wait during peak dinner hours, off hours no problem. Menu is diverse and fairly unique, something for everyone, they pride themselves on serving as much sustainable food as possible without compromising quality. Sushi quality and taste has always been top notch, have tried many items with zero complaints. Nice presentation and average portion sizes. Non sushi items are excellent too, even their burgers. Plenty of parking in large shared mall, but can get very busy during peak hours. Pretty noisy as conversations and music easily reflect off the tall flat walls and windows and concrete floor. Easy access for disabled folks. Great spot, tasty eco-sourced sushi, and pleasant dining experience.😸✨

I order delivery often from bamboo, because when they remember the little things, it’s usually awesome. However, the last three times in a row they haven’t given us chopsticks or wasabi when we’ve specifically asked for it and cutlery/napkins with our order. Today I ordered four orders of wasabi (hoping they’d get the message) and received one of the tiniest portions, not big enough to last for a single roll. I’ve complained on uber eats and nothing changes, so I’m just looking to be heard and for there to be an effort to make things right. Sorry if it feels like a small thing, it kind of makes or breaks the experience for me hence the 2 stars, 2 for consistently making well prepared sushi, but nearly wanted to give it a 1 because I’ve been so frustrated with the chain as of late despite giving feedback on uber eats every time.

Google
The sushi is cheap quality. I’m not sure why you’d go out and have lower quality sushi for more than average price. On top of it our servers hung out talking to each other. We had to ask for everything. Not once were asked how things were. In the end when you pay, minimum tip of 18% is presented. What happened to service? What happened to food quality? Never will I spend my hard earned money here again.

Google
This place is absolutely phenomenal. Super interesting and innovative food mixed with fresh and delicious classics. The garden of eden roll is probably one of the most spectacular things I've ever eaten. The staff has always been so friendly and chill. The vibes are immaculate and I highly recommend checking them out.

Google
I had such an amazing experience dining at Bamboo Sushi Cedar Hills, thanks to our incredible server, Ella! From the moment we sat down, Ella made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She was knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing, and had such a warm and positive energy—it truly made the whole evening so special. I frequent the Seattle location, so it was nice to see the same quality service and food at one of the Oregon locations.

Google
This was a delectable experience and worth the price. I ordered the Garden of Eden as a recommendation from the server and my friend who is a regular ordered the Green Machine, and she's vegetarian. I loved my roll and the unique flavor profile it had. Then I had her roll and the taste explosion with the cilantro was just lovely. We also had the Maitake mushroom starter which had so much umami and it was devoured. The cucumber salad was light and a little sweeter than I prefer but still tasty. Can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
We love coming here for the best sushi and drinks! Hit up Drake at the bar for the best recommendations on good sake and Japanese whiskey.

Yelp
Had such a lovely experience having lunch here today. The interior and exterior are both lovely. I ordered the ginger beer and the Fry Tide. The ginger beer had a spicy kick to it which I loved. And the sushi roll was delicious! Our server was excellent and was extremely patient with our group of 3. They came back around 3x before we were ready to place an order. (we were apologetic, friends who were catching up after a year). Knocking off one star because the Garlic Fried Rice w/ Chicken was also ordered and overall not the most appetizing.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with a small group on a sunny Wednesday night for a midweek get together. The doors were open, the sun was shining, and the restaurant was bustling. Luckily we had a reservation so we were seated right away. Service is friendly and efficient and I'm honestly loving the handheld POS system that makes paying individually so much easier. Drinks were so pretty and the food came quickly and everything tasted delicious! There was a great variety of appetizers and specialty rolls to choose from and lots of options for everyone and great for sharing too. I highly recommend the cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and the spicy edamame did come with a kick. The miso Caesar salad looked refreshing as well. No pictured but the Green Machine roll had the most flavorful sauce that also paired nicely with the huge vegetable tempura. The rolls were on the pricier side but I feel the quality, presentation, and restaurant vibe can justify treating yourself. Though we came for dinner, I do plan to come back for Happy Hour for sure!

Yelp
Long waits must be associated with this place. We ordered take out and it said 50 minutes. Total wait time was 1h 20min. My gripe was I was takeout order #127 and many orders above mine were getting completed. Most with large bags. An order #142 got their bag before me. I only had 4 items. I feel like they need to optimize their system because that's ridiculous. Also all the worker were all so stoned face and little checkup. Not friendly vibes. Regarding food, the salmon nigiri with yuzu was pretty bitter. Could just be my palette but didn't really enjoy it and the salmon was kinda tough and small. The crispy tofus were okay but nothing too special. The crispy rice with salmon and green machine were pretty good and only reason this wasn't a one star. Probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
If I had to describe Bamboo Sushi in three words, I would have to say: classy, quality, spendy. We ate here for lunch the other day, and the ambience and style can't be beat! Highly recommend for the vibe. The food itself was also very good (highly recommend the Green Monster, this one surprised me but was very good). All this being said, this is just an expensive spot. If you know what you're getting when you go, that makes it a bit better, but don't be taken off guard. Most main items fall in the $15-20 per, and as with any sushi, just one thing probably isn't enough to be full. Overall though, great spot for a nice night out!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots. The spicy tuna crispy rice is always the star of the show. I don't know how they make it so good. I also went during happy hour on my birthday and the drinks were great. We ordered the dew drop and the ume blossom. They also gave me a matcha dessert that was surprising so good. Love this place and the service!

Yelp
Everything was really good here. My wife was given a gift card to here for her birthday. So we were able to order a bit more than we normally would. So it was a pretty great experience overall. We arrived as they were just opening up. My wife was a little miffed that we got seated at the counter. I'm not picky though, and sometimes I prefer a counter seat. It was great because our orders came out super fast and we got a glimpse of everything as they were being prepared. The whole staff was so friendly. It's good to see people smiling and enjoying their work, and churning out the orders, left and right. I understand they were probably expecting to push out a high volume of orders. But there were so many staff in such a tiny place. That definitely contributed to the cramped feeling there. But the food was all really good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The chicken karaage was crisp and juicy. It was a generous portion too. I know we had a gift card. But even if we hadn't, we spent the same amount of money we normally would have at a subpar conveyor sushi spot (Seriously. We often go overboard at those places). And after tonight, I think I'd rather come here to spend that money. I want to add that the spicy tuna and salmon rolls were not spicy at all. Like whatever was supposed to give it heat was completely forgotten. This and a few other little things kept this visit from being 5-star worthy.

Yelp
Server was really attentive, and had good suggestions when we asked. Food came out quick and we were able to add things to our order as the night went on. Place was packed so it was good we had a reservation. Music choices were great. My fiancée kept commenting how much she liked the bands. Best thing we ordered was the green machine with salmon added. Super flavorful and the tempura beans in the center were tasty! Sunset roll was also good. The crispy rice appetizer was really filling and tasty. Sashimi was good but as you might expect much simpler flavor.

Yelp
A great spot for a casual date night, went to celebrate an anniversary. Settle ambiance both inside & outside. The staff was very friendly and kind enough to set up a high chair for our infant to place our car seat. The drinks from the bar were wonderful. I got their old fashioned made with Japanese whisky, tasted nice & smooth. I prefer salmon so I got their "Friday the 13th" signature roll with spicy salmon. The roll was very flavorful & freshly prepared. Beat all my expectations! PS, would highly recommend reserving a table in advance. They use Resy, which is an easy, user friendly platform to make reservations.

Yelp
The sushi was pretty good, the ingredients/fish were fresh & flavorful. Miso soup was good, nothing to really notate. The mushrooms were alright, they definifely needed more lemon than just the single wedge it's served with. The tempura breading wasn't the standard panko which was disappointing & the sauce that came with the tempura was horrendous. Bitter with a weird aftertaste. It was very loud & we were seated at the bar in front of the kitchen, which made it even louder. Uncomfortable chairs with no back so nowhere to put my purse besides the seat next to me. Good luck trying to get a server's attention. All I'm going to say on that. It's good sushi, sure, but it's definitely not worth the price for the taste, atmosphere, & portions.

Yelp
For me, the service at this location has been great! The waitstaff really know the menu, which speaks to the overall quality of the food. When asked about different nigiri options, our waiter Ramsey knew his stuff and made great recommendations. My girlfriend and I had such a good time that we actually came back the following week and were served by Gideon. Both of these waiters deserve a raise and are one of the main reasons we will be coming again! Maybe more importantly for most people, the fish seems super fresh and everything I've tried has been delicious. Out of everything I've tried, the Garden of Eden roll is on another level. It is perfectly balanced and super unique. If I had to complain about something, I really hate the location of this place because of how hectic cedar hills crossing is. The actual restaurant, however, has a very nice atmosphere. It is pretty small, but an open wall exposes the outdoor patio and keeps it from getting too loud. I'm also in love with the bar at the back. There isn't much space to wait inside for a table, so I'd recommend either making a reservation or planning on walking around while you wait.

Yelp
i call it bambooshi in my head I love this place!! great drinks and good quality fish for a decent price! they have locations all over portland and each is a great vibe! highly recommend

Yelp
First time I've ever been to a Bamboo Sushi even though they have been around for awhile. The food was really good and the restaurant was very clean. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the guys work. Their menu is more fusion than a traditional menu but fun with a great sake selection on the menu and a full bar. If you are looking for a go to guarantee of quality and taste no matter the location, check it out! If you are looking for something more traditional, pass.

Yelp
Super hyped and highly recommended but sadly not what I expected and underwhelming but only my first visit so definitely worth a second try and to be continued? But for now only three stars for services rendered, quality of food or freshness. Happy hour has me intrigued and convenience of location with ample parking is a plus

Yelp
Wait was short to get in when we arrived around 7pm on a Monday. Food was disappointing. The unicorn roll has this sour sauce that makes the roll tasted spoiled. Spicy salmon crispy rice was ok. Chicken karaage was good. The chicken was moist and the outside batter was actually really good. We also ordered the king salmon and scallop nigiris and they were just average. You can get better sushi at a conveyor belt sushi like sushi town for example. Also ordered the hamachi sizzler, 5 thin slices of fish are definitely not worth its price tag. I ordered this mocktail called Ceremony drink, it was very sweet and has this artificial taste of genmaicha. It has this overly strong floral/ fruity taste which made it almost tasted like soap. Overall, food and drink were really disappointing. At least service was nice . A lot of room for improving in my opinion.

Yelp
Loved the vegetarian rolls, cauliflower, and the friend enjoyed their sashimi too. Couldn't try their sesame chocolate brownie though matcha panna cotta was good. Green machine is my favorite so far though I would like to try fried tofu as well. The service was quick. They have both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Though I found the ambiance casual for the cost. During my second visit, server didn't give us wasabi, ginger and soy sauce, no water or fork for a toddler. So not so kid friendly place I would say.
google avatar

Jolie C.V. H.

Yelp
Sat at the bar. Drake was our server! Loved all his recommendations! I'm usually a one drink wonder, but I got two because he was that great! Menu is somewhat limited for kids as most rolls were described as spicy. They were not really but might be for some. Tried to return on another night, but it was PACKED. One hour wait? No thanks. We were limited on time. We will definitely be back for the great food and service, though.

Yelp
very good food and drink. Service super too. A group of 10. Wonderful grad party for grandson
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
My wife likes this place but I don't. The sushi was just ok. But the portions were really small and the price was really high, and for that reason I recommend avoiding this place, even though the service and decor were good.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Bamboo sushi was an amazing experience. I've been to their Bay Area location but felt that their service alone was a lot better. Service staff made sure we knew it was happy hour, info about the restaurant and what they'd recommend to us. Their green machine was a crowd favorite! I wasn't expecting to like it so much, the green beans gave the crunch factor I was looking for and was paired heavenly with the cilantro green sauce it was covered in. Restaurant was clean and loved the decor. Lots of space at the bar to watch staff make your order and lots of seating outside. I was sitting at a tall round table and unfortunately my backside got a lot of foot traffic of staff coming in and out of the kitchen area and kept bumping into my chair. I moved it a bit and still to my surprise staff kept bumping into my chair thus bumping into me. Not sure if those two tables can be moved in a position where this won't happen as I tried moving already closer to the table and I'm a smaller individual. Other than that I couldn't really complain.
google avatar

Kiley Corrina V.

Yelp
I ordered delivery, so as far as location/parking/the decor inside I have no input. What I will say though, is that everything is fresh, the staff is fast and efficient. And it was so delicious I want to go back already! Never had the crispy rice spicy tuna before and it's a game changer, if I could recommend anything it would be that. Their bags are super cute, the packaging is eco friendly, and everything was packed neatly and with care. Only downside is cost, I will say this is a higher end sushi spot, prices similar to Yubi. If you're okay with splurging a little then try here!
google avatar

Sydney U.

Yelp
The sushi was excellent!! We started with the Spicy Edamame followed by The Green Machine (adding tuna on top is a must) and The Unicorn roll. All were recommended by our waitress and they were delicious.
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
My husband had a negative experience at another location so we were skeptical in wanting to give them another try, but we were both pleasantly surprised. The ambience was gorgeous, and our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered two rolls, and were still hungry so we added a hand roll. All arrived in a timely manner, and were yummy.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday around 3PM. It was around 1/4 full. Overall I was not impressed. The prices were ludicrously too expensive for not very much value. That said - Service was good. They were very attentive and the food came quickly. Ambiance - they have a giant bar to the side and lots of table space. The kitchen area is open where you can see everyone at work. The concrete makes it loud. Food - we ordered a 5 piece chef's choice sushi set which was very basic - 1 piece each of tuna, salmon, albacore, "white fish" (probably Kansa chi) and seared hotategai (that was very good). And also a California roll that had too much sesame to the point it was over powering. I did like the rice, which was made well. I accept that my experience was tainted by the sticker shock - it was just way too expensive for not very much. I don't think I would come back given the number of better quality Japanese restaurants in Beaverton at more reasonable prices.
google avatar

Adria T.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was good. Came here for lunch. Would return again. I recommend the fried rice and fry-tide sushi roll.
google avatar

Valerie D.

Yelp
I usually go to the Bamboo in Lake Oswego or 23rd. I think this location may be new? Overall, I think it wasn't bad but I think the portions may be smaller at this location? I noticed that the rolls and appetizers were smaller portions than the other bamboos I have been to. Same great flavor, but portion sizes threw me off.
google avatar

Yelp
For an early birthday dinner we stumbled upon Bamboo. It seemed like an elevated sushi, japanese fusion that we could not pass up. The ambiance was beautiful and the scene was perfect. It's definitely not a quiet, romantic vibe, but instead up beat and elevated experience. Here is what we got: 1. Green Machine: this was the most recommended roll. The sauce was phenomenal and I wanted to lick the plate. 2. Crispy Rice: Avocado: the yuzu was a beautiful touch. The salt was perfect and I was in love by first bite. 3. Crispy Rice: Spicy Salmon: it wasn't very spicy but it was delish. The spice was more flavor and I loved every bite. 4. Crispy Tofu: oh my gosh- best crisp EVER. The crispiness matched with the sauce was amazing. Just wish it was paired with a bowl of rice. The chilis were hot! 5. Garlic Chili Chicken: this was BLAND. Needed salt. I would pass on this dish. 6. King Salmon Nigiri: The lemon caught me off guard. It was a bit too much so I took it off. Very fresh and yummy. Overall this is my husbands favorite place. He generally hates all sushi, and this made his FAVORITE roll: Green Machine. He asked for his own next time. This place had great service and was extremely fast. Bravo to the staff.

K V.

Yelp
Amazing staff, stay busy and they can still give great service and attentiveness to their guests. We stayed at the bar top waiting for our reservation at another restaurant and the bar keeper was still so friendly and helpful with us. She made based on what we gave as likes some fantastic recommendations we decided to try. But their menu has so many delicious and unique flavor combos you really can't go wrong. With our time crunch we weren't able to but definitely be back because we were so tempted to try something off their menu. The food looked and sounded phenomenal. My own experience of just peeping the crew was really pleasing. They seemed to have such a symbiotic natural flow and environment for their guests. With an open kitchen view the kitchen was killing it whipping out beautiful food. The bar keep Kristine was amazing. Our short but memorable visit will be a dream to remember till next time...

Rox M.

Yelp
This place is absolutely awful! The food is poor quality, and the service is really bad as well. They don't even have salt and pepper, no cheese, or ketchup! I would never recommend this place to any of my friends!

Annette V.

Yelp
We stopped into Bamboo for happy hour. It didn't seem too busy, so we thought they would seat us away from people but nope, they put us right behind another table which felt odd because 75% of the restaurant was empty. Another guest came and were seated at the table right next to our table as well. Didn't have much privacy to chat, but I wasn't too hung up on it. The food was good, my drink was good, but the whole vibe during our lunch just felt...off. As much as I'd like to give this place more stars, my husband and I just felt so unwelcome... in fact, every time we've been to Bamboo, the atmosphere has been super uncomfortable. Maybe it's because we're not bougie people and the vibe is "fancier" than other sushi places in the area, but it didn't feel great to see the table directly in front of us receive such friendly treatment when just five minutes ago, we got the "sorry I just got here" blank face from the same server. Again, the food (HH poke, two hand rolls, and crispy rice -- all a little over priced but not the reason for the lack of stars) and my drink (Davy Jones Locker) was good, but we probably won't come back if the "we're better than you" vibe doesn't change. Bummer, because the food was good.

Jackie L.

Yelp
I have been here twice in the past 3 weeks. Their service is friendly and attentive. Our favorite rolls are the Big Island, Friday the 13th, Full Circle, and Rainbow. They have a good variety of specialty cocktails, beer, sake and wine. Totally worth the price. Can't wait for my next visit.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
I'm bummed over my Interaction I had last night on the phone and have been thinking about what to type. I called to place a pick up order and went through the automated part of the phone. I got ahold of someone and the lady sounded annoyed to talk to me. When I asked to place a pick up order she said, "uhhh ya, we can onlyyyyy like do that before 8:30" I said oh, its 8... and before I could finish she said "ya so we can't help you" in a high pitch fake server voice and then hung up. I choose to go to another sushi place down the street that was nice on the phone, and cheaper.

Yelp
Yay, they finally opened! I'm in this area frequently so I'm thrilled that Bamboo Sushi opened a Cedar Hill location. No more trying to find parking downtown or worrying about my car. While I'm not a fan of sushi, I absolutely love and crave the Green Machine roll filled with tempura fried green beans, green onions, avocado, cilantro sweet chili aioli. It is delicious!!! To round out my meal I also order the tempura fried cauliflower that gets a kick from the spicy black been sauce. It arrives hot and crispy and with each bite, I can't wait for the next. My friends always get the sushi and rave about the flavor combos and freshness of all ingredients. We often share tempura shrimp, edamame, shosito peppers and the Sunomono (cucumber) salad. The interior is designed in their signature minimalistic aesthetic with lots of dark slatted wood, an airy space with lots of light. They even have a nice area outside for dining. Service is friendly, food comes out as it's cooked so you don't get overwhelmed with everything arriving at once. Plus on the slight chance you are still hungry and craving more, you can add to your meal. They open at 4pm and have a HH which I look forward to trying. They are not open fir lunch. The Cedar Hills location is between Shake Shack and Dave's Chicken. There is parking in the lot right out front making it super convenient, plus additional parking all around.

Yelp
Sushi has a lot of extra flavor (however I did only try their specialty rolls) It's OK ;) depending what kind of sushi you are in search of. If you want fresh and pure probably find another restaurant. If you like flavor / sauces etc. this a good spot Ambiance is clean and hip

Jon A.

Yelp
Came by early tonight to pickup my order. Although the restaurant was packed, there was no one in front of me or behind me. The host looked at me with murder in his face. Handing over my order was the last thing he wanted to do. There was no greeting when I walked in, nor a gesture of gratitude as I left. It was total silence. The host tonight was rude and couldn't be bothered. To the owner of this restaurant, what kind of face do you want to represent Bamboo Sushi? I will let others know what to expect when they pickup from here: Expect a bearded, white male in flannel with an extreme distaste for his customers to represent the finest in Japanese culture.

Isabella C.

Yelp
So yummy! Servers were wonderful and drinks were delicious. It was quiet when we got there for lunch but picked up as an afternoon went on. Loved outdoor seating area, especially on sunny day!
google avatar

Julian A.

Yelp
I guess I'll just say this... the vegetable tempura we got was undercooked. When I bit into the onion, a clump of dry flour fell out of it. When we brought this to the attention of the server, he was extremely kind and apologetic. The restaurant manager even took the item off of our final bill. We appreciate their kindness and how they handled the situation but if I'm being honest, we're never returning to this chain. There are so many other sushi restaurants in the area that taste way better and are more affordable. Go to those places if you can. The only redeeming thing about this sushi chain is that they serve Coca-Cola products (which earns half a star to my overall review).

Alyssa S.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from Bamboo Sushi for the first time today. I decided to try the crispy rice spicy tuna, green machine with salmon, & the bamboo dragon rolls. I loved the unique flavors of the green machine & the crunch of the crispy rice. The portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price, but delicious as hoped.

Yelp
I was thrilled to hear Bamboo opened a new location on the west side so I jumped at the chance to try it. It's definitely better than the meager rating it currently holds so don't let that stop you. They have fine Sake and are committed to sustainable fishing practices so, at the very least, you have to give some credit for that! I ordered my usual: tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri and Rainbow Roll and it was delightful. They add their own special touch when preparing the nigiri which is unique and well done. Adds just a hint of extra flavor without ruining the simplicity and elegance of nigiri. They have a bright, fresh, and shiny new space to dine in which is roomy, open, and full of light. And they have a large, shaded spot to eat outside. And the service from the bar was excellent. So this Bamboo location is definitely a great and welcome addition to the west side. Finally we can enjoy great sushi without a long trek into the city.

Yelp
First time at this location. We went for happy hour and assumed we would order some additional items after. We were wrong, portions were much larger than we anticipated. Everything was executed well, service was friendly and food came out quickly. They coursed the food out as well which was really nice. Standouts were the cauliflower and the chefs nigiri. Can't wait to back to try more, they even have a ribeye and a burger available.
google avatar

Jasmine G.

Yelp
Soooo yummy ! The food was (to my surprise) actually very tasty! I see why this place is always so busy now. Will definitely be back soon , been craving the spicy edamame.

Yelp
Been reading reviews and saw that it was rated a 3.5 after we already came in. We normally only go to places that have a 4 and above. I got the green machine and my wife got the unicorn. Yes it's more expensive than other sushi spots but it also seems that it's made with better quality ingredients. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and the presentation of the sushi along with the taste is great. It definitely deserves better than a 3.5 rating!

Yelp
Food is great but the service was absolutely awful. Our server, Will, was extremely condescending the entire experience. After messing up both our order and our payment process, he proceeded to treat us like we were the problem. I have never felt so belittled at a restaurant before.

Yelp
PRO: The Miso Caesar salad. CON: nothing like our previous years of experience with Bamboo (SE and NE locations) so disappointing. Server (in this case) was rushed, server forgot our drink orders twice, and the food was just meh (except that Caesar salad). DETAILS: We came for a day-after-Valentine's dinner. When this location opened we were ecstatic to have something closer to where we live now - when we lived in SE we would frequent the original location (when we could get in!) and everytime the experience used to be amazing. Unfortunately this wasn't our experience last night. The location is quite loud (so unromantic - ok fine) due to the high, exposed ceilings. We made reservations, and were seated immediately (plus!) Our waiter was, well, hmm. He came over and asked what we'd like to start with (after not having a chance to look at the menu), so instantly felt rushed. So we asked to taste two white wines - which he never brought; had to flag someone else (who was super helpful - wish she was our server). Then we ordered a glass from our waiter - who never brought that either (and we flagged down the same person from the first time - who brought it to us). Service aside, we found the food lacking in flavor and that "special" quality that got us fans of Bamboo in the first place. We used to order the Sunset - and this time it was meh. We tried the crispy rice spicy salmon - that was nice. The Salmon ngiri - the lemon on top was too much and interfered with the taste of the salmon. The miso Caesar salad - by far was the BEST thing we ate. It was a good healthy sized serving (definitely enough to share) and the flavors were reminiscent of the "old" Bamboo. I've heard that happy hour is the better deal, with better food (not sure how that can be since we weren't blown away - except the miso caesar salad), have I mentioned that miso caesar salad?

Yelp
I always feel like I'm in Sex and the City when I eat here. It's absolutely posh and vibrant here. The drinks are delicious and the quality of food is fantastic. It's definitely a great dining experience every time I eat here, and though it's a bit pricey, it's worth the hype imo. If you're looking for a nice upscale restaurant, great ambiance and delicious eats, look no further!

Yelp
Beautiful location in a shopping mall with outdoor & indoor dining. Sushi is good & little pricey.

Yelp
Honestly I haven't been impressed with bamboo. I've been a few times and still missing that spark. Fish was eh. The rolls were eh. The device was kind of stickup eh. So nah. Won't be back

Yelp
Just ordered take out and spent +$135 for like 5 items. Checkout the pic I uploaded of the "sunomono" we ordered 3X. Each was $7 which means we spent $24 for less than half of a baby English cucumber soaked in rice wine vinegar for 45 minutes. I'm honestly in shock trying to assess how a group of four of us spent $134 and are still hungry. Pass.

Yelp
The sushi at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of fresh and expertly crafted rolls to choose from. Each piece of fish melts in your mouth, and the presentation is top-notch. However, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of politeness from the person at the front. While the food definitely makes up for it, it would have been nice to be greeted with a warmer welcome. Overall, if you're a sushi lover looking for great food, this place is worth a visit despite the initial impression.
