A Tasty Food Trek Through Mott Haven, in the Bronx | Eater NY

"I went in and found not only a juice bar with plenty of tropical fruits but also a glass warming case featuring empanadas with a choice of cheese, chicken, or beef and a handful of cuchifritos — though there was no Mexican food on the menu. I grabbed a beef alcapurria ($2.50), a torpedo-shaped fritter filled with beef and cracked wheat that seemed potentially descended from Lebanese kibbeh." - Robert Sietsema

Restaurant is clean. We ordered Beef Chow Fun and Chicken Black Bean Sauce, Pork Potsickr. The dumplings were very delicious and we enjoyed other food too. Our server Qian was attentive and fast service. We will visit again.

Took takeout. The food was inedible. Had roast duck. Couldn’t chew the meat. Must have been reheated leftovers many times over. String beans for vegetable was so overcooked, it was mushy. Fried rice has no flavor or seasoning and little chicken bits was very tough. Food was good last year. It’s horrible now.

It was my second time here and I had a bad experience twice in a row. The glasses they serve the wine in are dirty, you could still smell the smell of the person who was served before me, and the fingerprints and lip marks on the glass don't clean the dishes. I will never return to this place.

5 stars ⭐️ to me = value, quality, environment, & service. Bambu nails it. This new spot is chic with a nice bar seating. The lunch special is nothing to ignore. You are getting $35 worth of good food for $21. The hot and sour soup is dead on. The beef chow fun tastes better than most places in NYC. I highly recommend the Peking duck here too. Alcohol is a bit pricey but I’m here to eat mostly. They also have the very hard to find item (YOUNG coconut juice). 🥇🥇 The beef stew noodles could be improved upon, beef tendon is average. Great 👍 spot for lunch date without breaking the bank 💪💪

when we arrived at 5pm, there was no bartender there, so we could only order beer or wine, no mixed drinks. we ordered sushi and spring rolls as an appetizer which were fine, nothing special but tasted fresh even though the presentation was nothing special. we ordered their house fried rice and the japanese ramen for dinner, both looked and tasted like they were microwaved. the fried rice lacked any sort of seasoning, had no vegetables, and was still cold to the touch in areas. the ramen was terrible. it came with three very tough, fatty slices of grey-colored pork, old hard boiled eggs, the broth was oily and flavorless, the noodles were glued together in a wad like they were from days ago. this place looked nice, our waitress was pleasant, but overall this was a terrible experience. we hardly ate a bite of our dinners and the price was over $100. this price included a glass of chardonnay (which was one of the worst wines i’ve ever had, i did not drink it), and two beers (the second one was ordered because i was not drinking that nasty wine!) will not ever go back here.

The food is ok, a couple dishes a quite good, the general tso's is borderline bad. They also never answer the phone for takeout orders even when people are at the desk which is frustrating.

I sat at the bar of this Thai inspired restaurant; I highly enjoyed my visit under the care of Ivan. 12-3pn they host a 3 course prix fix menu, of which I chose the hot& sour soup, the watercress shrimp dumplings, and the Singapore noodles. My drinks were top notch and the service alike. Ivan made the perfect amount of small talk while serving the best examples of the drinks to offer, all while taking special care of each individual seated at his bar. The food was great, although I prefer the Thai palate, the food was flavorful and tamed to accommodate an American palate. I'd highly recommend this gem to anyone coming to park, especially during this 12-3 period. Ivan prepared perfect renditions of the signature Golden Lotus as well as a superb old fashioned.

Nice friendly service environment. There is a lunch special that is totally worth the price of $21. Big portions and tasty dishes. You can use your food comps too!
