We decided to book a sunset dolphin tour with them while on a trip to Cape Coral last week. We had so much fun and saw so many dolphins that we decided to book a second trip 2 days later and we saw even more dolphins that time. This tour was different than other dolphin tours I’ve done before. The boat is covered which was very nice. They also make sure to seat you with your group. Every group has their own table and space. Other tours I’ve done cram as many people as they can onto the boat and you’re elbow to elbow with strangers. We really enjoyed learning about the dolphins and they were very kind and listened to all of my kid’s questions and answered them all. We really enjoyed this tour and will book again next time we travel that way.

Amazing sunset dolphin tour! We went on Wednesday 7/30/25 and it was spectacular. The captain and first mate were such cool guys, and the captain was cracking us up with his one liners. The boat ride was super smooth and comfortable, even for my daughter who usually gets motion sickness. She had no issues at all! While cruising, the captain tells you facts about the area and local birds, marine and wildlife. He also had interesting insight into Hurricane Ian and how it affected Cape Coral. We hit the jackpot and saw SO MANY DOLPHINS the night we went! The captain is respectful of the dolphins and other boaters, which was really nice. I would 10/10 recommend this tour to other families! We went out for a dolphin cruise with our family today and it was super successful! We went on one of their 4th of July fireworks cruises a few years ago and had a wonderful experience then too. Highly recommend their cruises!!!

Awesome tour! The boat is super comfy and spacious with tables and lots of leg room. Rides well also even when we were in heavy boat traffic. The tour guides were super knowledgeable and we saw lots of dolphins. Would highly recommend!

Great, family friendly cruise. Just long enough, but not too long. We got to see a ton of Pelicans, a Bald Eagle, a lovely sunset, and of course dolphins! Extremely friendly Captain and his co-captain. Very kid friendly. Clean. We’d go again!

Great family friendly Dolphin tours! The boat is large and holds around 40 people. It is well shaded and even with big waves you don’t rock much. You can bring any food or drink you want and all seats have a table and cup holder. We took the noon tour which they say takes 1.5 hours but actually took 2 hours. They do a great job with kids and also give you some nice educational info on dolphins. We saw 4-6 dolphins for around 10 minutes. It was fun!

What a wonderful day with Captain JR and Captain Don! We live in the Cape and needed a break from Hurricane repairs, so took this tour for the 2nd time. It's different every time which is great. This tour, a pod of 6 dolphins, including babies, swam with the boat for quite a while. It was breathtaking! This time we also went to the mangrove forest by Saint James City. I had no idea how beautiful mangroves were and how many species there are. Then we went to Picnic Island and laid on a sandbar in the beautiful water on a deserted island. Who could ask for a more perfect day. Happy 65th birthday to my sister D...we love you!

We had the best time! Got the sunset dolphin watch Tour as a gift for our parents and not only did we get a stunning sunset, but also the dolphins were out and about showing off! The 2 captains are very knowledgable and dropped a lot of facts about the dolphins and the area.

Sailing out of Cape Coral, Banana Bay Tour Company runs a great dolphin tour. We took a 1.5 hour tour from the Westin Cape Coral. While it was a bit chilly in the morning, there was plenty of activity out in the Gulf. The guides were very informative about the sea life, birds, mangrove trees, and the local area in general. We spent quite a bit of time observing several groups of dolphins we encountered along the way. While there's no guarantee of dolphin sightings any given day, we were happy to see so many. You're sure to see lots of birds as well, especially on Bird Island. We also saw the causeway that leads to Sanibel Island off in the distance. Overall, it was a fun and peaceful trip out on the water, and I'd recommend Banana Bay Tour Company to others.

So glad my husband booked the dolphin tour. We were able to see dolphins throughout the tour and we even got a free show of dolphins jumping! The tour is 1.5 hours and it was a perfect amount of time. We took the 12 noon tour with Captain JR and Dave and they were both amazing. The captain and the guide for this tour go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. They were very nice, friendly and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour. Great fun on the water today! Every effort to make you comfortable! A fun crew and saw a bunch of dolphins! Great ride and a great value! Enjoyed a late lunch at Rumrunners after! Fun music on the deck!

We took the dolphin/sunset cruise on Friday evening with Captain JR and first mate Julia and we were very impressed! The boat setup was lovely with the ability to group folks together at tables for conversation while sightseeing. We were able to see several dolphins, one which swam out of the canal right next to the boat. We also saw a spinner shark, which Captain JR said is quite rare to see. JR and Julia were extremely friendly and inviting. They made their rounds to every group to chat and learn about us and Captain JR made all the kids on board feel very special by learning their names and engaging with them and "letting them drive". I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to hit the open water!

This was so much fun you were able to bring your own drinks. There's a bathroom on the boat, so worth the money and time to see dolphins and other animals both captains we had were amazing. Highly recommend to do this tour for both adults and adults with children and you get to enjoy Rum runners which had great food after the tour.

Four of us took the dolphin sunset cruise on a Monday night. Captains J.R. And Anya were wonderful with the guests and especially the kids. The dolphins put on an extraordinary show for us and we could not have been more pleased with her experience. Top-notch company and definitely worth your time and money when vacationing in the area. We left from Cape Coral Harbor Marina, which is a beautiful area. Highly recommend!

Boat captain and crew are naturalists and know a lot about the Gulf and Gulf coast life. Very personable guys and well organized Dolphin and sunset cruise. Anja and JR were amazing guides! We had a blast on the 3-hour tour. Saw plenty of dolphins and guides were extremely knowledgeable about the ecosystem and wildlife. Loved the stop on the island. We would take this tour again!

My husband, my 9 year old daughter, and I LOVED our boat ride this morning. We are staying at the Best Western Plus and packed a small lunch and a bag to collect shells and walked down to the marina across from the Pink Shell. There we met Captain Cook and First Mate Julia. From beginning to end these two guides taught us about the local wildlife--saw dolphins, a handful of neat birds, and the ability to shell and stretch our legs at Lover's Key. First Mate Julia was personable and kind; she gave my daughter, Emma, two mermaid shells she found. Emma has stowed them away so they can make it safely home. Captain Cook was also terrific and very knowledgeable. Our family highly recommends Banana Bay Tours!

Love the seating arrangement. You get a table a bench with your group. It's a great plus! The ride was very Serene we got to see plenty of dolphins. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was really good. It was a sandwich with chips or fruit. The sandwich I had was a turkey sandwich and it was really good. We dock at a small island where we sat and ate our food on the boat then got off and went exploring. It was a nice adventure. I will definitely plan on going on a banana tour boat again. Totally worth it.

Do This Tour!!! Sunset cruise with Dolphins. Best $30 Trip I've ever done. Worth way more. The CREW!!! Amazing amazing amazing. So personable and fun and knowledgeable. They thanked each of us personally and made sure each passenger felt included and valued. The views and the dolphins and the birds you see also make for a memorable evening. Honestly my favorite tour I've ever done. Do this tour, you'll thank me.

This was well worth the money. An awesome experience! The captain was very welcoming and accommodating! He is very knowledgeable and friendly! Our kids loved it! Def would do again! The views and dolphins made the night!

Do not waste your time or money going on any cruises provided by this company. I went on the 11am Dolphin Ecological Cruise yesterday (1/5/19) and what a disappointment. We were there 20mins early to make sure we didn't miss the boat but Robert and the captain decided to inconvenience all of us by waiting for another group that was late because they decided to get Subway on the way to the boat instead of paying the extra $10 for a supplied lunch. So we left at 11:15 instead of 11am. I went with a group of friends and we were told that if you don't see any dolphins you will get a voucher for another cruise to make up for it, well don't believe it, there were no dolphins anywhere yesterday and the captain kept stopping at usual areas where they see dolphins and staying there for 10mins in hopes we'd see something so they wouldn't have to comp another cruise. Towards the end the first mate said he saw a dolphin but only 2 other people of the 20+ on the boat saw it, I know I didn't see it and a passenger asked about the make up pass and the first mate, Robert said, "we saw one so that counts, sorry buddy sometimes that happens" and laughed! What a joke! I just moved here and my friends were visiting from Chicago so I thought this would be fun and something I can plan to take other visitors on but I won't make that mistake again. The other annoying thing was this was supposed to be educational and even though it was, the info that Robert gave us was doom and gloom. He started by saying how beautiful the waters used to be in the cape, crystal blue, you could see through to the bottom, but then people made man made channels that ruined the eco system and created the ugly murky brown fresh water that's there today. He also said how man moved an entire island just so we could build a bridge and ruined that eco system. I don't remember one positive thing about his talking points and it was actually pretty depressing! Save your mine and your time, the tour was $56, I had a $2.50 off coupon and it still ended up being over $60 with taxes.

This was an unbelievable tour! The dolphins are literally so closeby and the guides are wonderful. Everything about this tour is great and I highly recommend it - a must do!

We have been to Cape Coral numerous times and have not done a sunset cruise. We were missing out!!! Captain JR and his first mate provided a wonderful tour- we saw numerous birds some dolphins and a beautiful sunset. The trip was fantastic. Bring your own cooler cups and wine opener and enjoy God's handiwork.

This boat tour was absolutely amazing. Captain JR and his first mate make you feel welcomed and happy to have you. They are knowledgeable of the animals and city around them and can answer any questions you may have. When our baby started getting restless, he picked him right up and let his drive the boat! Or daughter and every other kid also got a turn at steering and each one of them (and their parents) were thrilled. The trip lasted a bit longer than an hour and a half but we had so much fun we barely noticed. We saw dolphins, eagles nest, and the most beautiful sunset ever. If your on vacation here in Cape Coral, this boat tour is a must! Thank you Captain JR for the memories!

We ended taking a large group of people on an evening tour and each of them had a fantastic time! We were incredibly lucky to see numerous dolphins, aquatic birds, and an absolutely beautiful sunset. The thing that sets this company apart from its competitors, is that they have a dolphin guarantee; if on your tour a dolphin does not make an appearance, they will provide your group with a complimentary tour at a later time (to make sure you get to see a dolphin at some point). We also highly enjoyed the captain and other staff; they were funny, talkative, and even allowed the children to drive the boat. I highly recommend going on this tour at least once, you won't regret it. Will I be back? Absolutely. We continue brining people one this tour, not only for the ability to catch a glimpse of dolphins, but the comedic value, and relaxing, laid-back nature of this tour.

Wonderful trip. Captain Sam and crew gave us a smooth entertaining journey. We saw several dolphins swimming alongside our boat. We got a very interesting and knowledgeable explaination of the large rich houses along our trip. It was a fun 90 minutes.

This tour is fab! I was so impressed on how much I learned. Not only did we see dolphins, manatees, and birds but they gave us fab info and we were able to ask questions. It's a perfecto for adults and kiddos! Andy and JR were awesome! They made jokes and we had just the best tour with them! They were super personable and funny. I have been on several dolphins tours through out Florida and this by far was my fav!

Great time in the tour today, Capt JR, and his crew did a great job, saw lots of dolphins, bald eagle, many pelicans, and the Capt gave a 10-15 min educational brief about dolphins and local birds. The Capt was entertaining to the several children as well, including photo op of the kids driving the boat. Highly recommend this tour! We will bring visitors again.

Had a great time on the Sunset Dolphin cruise. It was a bit overcast so we were not able to see a sunset but no one minded because we were treated with the most wonderful dolphin experience. The dolphins were moving from side to side of the boat and had stayed with us for quite a while. Because we went in the evening we were able to see the birds flying to their island (known as a rookery) for the night. I don't think I have seen so many birds in one place. It was magnificent to see. I highly recommend the sunset cruise!

We went for an afternoon dolphin tour and it was amazing. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. We saw tons of dolphins including several babys great picture taking and then we were surprised that they extended the trip to take us into the mangroves to see more of this beautiful area Great trip, great company reasonably priced.

We went on the Sunset Dolphin Cruise on the evening of 5/25/19. It was such a great time! We saw a ton of Dolphin, lots of birds and gained a lot of knowledge of the area from our Captain JR and our first mate. The sunset was amazing! JR went out of his way to talk with everyone and make sure we were all enjoying our time and moved the boat around so both sides were able to get a ton of photos. Couldn't have been happier!

Took the Dolphin/Sunset Cruise out of Fort Meyer Beach with Banana Bay Tours; it was a great tour. We saw dolphins playing in the water. A mom and her calf came up close to the boat - very exciting! It was hard to leave them, as they were so entertaining. Alas, we had to move on to the sunset, which was beautiful! As all sunsets are. It was well worth the trip. Capt. Cooke was very informative regarding all of the wildlife we saw.

Had a great time at the dolphin sunset tour. We saw two pairs of dolphins and happened to have an amazing sunset. The staff were nice and very knowledgeable. Nice way for time to relax but still see the sites. We also hung around a bird island with all the birds flying in to roost.

So this is how close the captain parked next to me while I was fishing in Big Carlos Pass. Literally 12 paces. You can clearly see plenty of room down the beach. Other than "this is were I always park, so oh well" to the local fishermen who were already there all morning, I can't believe he couldn't park just a little further away. After exchanging my displeasure with the utter lack of respect, the 1st mate(a blonde girl) tells me to keep walking and to F-off. Total lack of class. Very rude Zero stars

Great Tour. We took the Homes and Harbor Tour and had a wonderful time. We saw a mother and her baby dolphin playing near Shell Island and they both were swimming next to the tour boat. The biggest surprise was seeing 2 manatees which also came right up to the boat several times. The tour ended with a trip around some beautiful mansion homes. These million dollar homes also had some awesome yachts. The boat was clean and very comfortable and water and sodas were available for purchase. The 2 Captains were totally knowledgeable about everything on the tour and made it really interesting and educational. Everything about the ticket purchase and trip was well organized and went off without a hitch. We highly recommend this company.

We had a great time. It was more than just a sunset cruise. Dolphin watching, bald eagles and other birds. They gave a good description of the birds and the islands. Very entertaining and interesting. We were out in the water longer than all the other tour boats. Thanks again for a great time.

This was the best tour we have ever been on!! these guys love what they are doing and it shows! They go above and beyond to make sure you are having a wonderful evening! We did the night tour and next time we are in town we will try the lunch tour! We saw some dolphins when we were taking off and they made sure everyone was able to get some pictures! They even let our kids drive the boat!

Loved it! Look, I'm no spring chicken and I've been on so many of these types of tours since I was a kid, it's hard to get me excited about another one. HOWEVER, you would be missing out on one of the best things to do in Cape Coral - Fort Myers if did not join Captain JR for his tour. We saw more wildlife than promised. He has a great friendly and funny style. And if you have kids, he will engage them for the full length of the tour. I'm happy to recommend the tour we took with an 11:00 am departure and a box lunch on "picnic island". Personal note to Captain JR and Anja (in case you are reading this) .... you are very special people and the love you have for this job, the wildlife, the environment and kids (of all ages) shows through. Your passion for making sure everyone is enjoying the cruise really sets you apart in a world full of tourist-trap attractions that "phone it in". Thanks for a very enjoyable afternoon and please know that we appreciated and enjoyed the experience.

Captain J.R. and First Mate Danny gave us a great tour. All the kids gout a turn driving. We saw many dolphins and had a great sunset cruise advertised time was 1.5 hours. The trip was actually over 2.5. Get there early if possible you will want on the back of the boat which is open. It's easier to move around and spot the dolphins.

We booked this tour after reading nothing but great reviews. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We had our 3 year old and new born and the captain and his first mate were amazing. They talked with everyone on board, and had all the kids on the boat interact with them. They all got to drive the boat. The tour was listed as 1.5 hours but we were out for 2.5 hours and saw numerous dolphins. The Captain has natural sciences and knew everything you could know about Dolphins. There are no snacks available on board, but you can bring your own cooler or snacks. I wouldn't hesitate to do this tour again.

Best water cruise I've ever had, and I've been on them all around the world. Let's just start with R.J. and Anya. Personable, informative, fun. They were great telling us about what we were seeing, answering questions, and making everyone comfortable on the boat. Although they had no control over the weather, it was a spectacular day for the sunset cruise, too. We saw dolphins, various kinds of birds in addition to the sunset. The rookery island at sunset was incredible. Highly recommend the Banana Bay Tour Company and R.J. and Anya.

Me and my husband went out on a dolphin tour this past Saturday and had a wonderful time. Not only did we see LOTS of dolphins we saw a bald eagle and it's nest! JR was a wonderful captain and his staff was very attentive and friendly.

We were on the 11 a.m. 1/5/19 tour too! My experience was a very positive one. It was a cold day on the water but the captain did go out of his way to ensure we saw dolphins and Robert handed out jackets to those that did not come prepared for the cold weather. We saw 3 dolphins in fact - 1in the open water and a mom and calf in a smaller inlet of water that the captain expertly navigated. This was the half day ecological dolphin cruise. Get the lunch. It's well worth the $. Shelling on picnic island will not disappoint. Robert was very knowledgeable and informative about every tree, bird, fish, dolphin we saw. You don't just have a fun ride on the water but you will get educated on ecosystems and what humans need to do to preserve them for the wildlife and future generations. Kudos to Banana Bay Tour Company for not just being about tours but educating us too. Knowledge is power. Great respect for this company. Don't miss this!

We took our 2 adult children, their spouses and 3 grandkids on the New Year's Eve Sunset tour and it was everything we could have hoped it to be! The crew was welcoming and aimed to please everyone on the boat. My husband has mobility issues and the crew were helpful and very kind! The cruise was advertised as a 90 minute cruise but the dolphins were so entertaining we stayed out an additional 30 minutes. We loved seeing the smiles on everyone's faces! We will bring other family and friends on the tour.
