"I noticed Banana Blossom has reopened in a new location about two miles from the original, and the new space features a bigger dining room, a semi-open kitchen, and a bar." - Stephanie Carter

Google
DELICIOUS! Everything my friends and I got was delicious! You wouldn’t expect to find some of the best Thai food in Utah, but holy cow it’s true. The owner was polite and friendly, and the lunch combo is a great affordable price! If you’re wondering where to go for a meal, this is your place! The attached photos are the three meals we got and my finished plate!

Google
The food was really tasty — I mean reeeaaally tasty! 😄 We were moving from the East Coast to the West Coast by truck, with our cat on board. It was often hard to find proper meals along the way — not just fast food — and a place where we could actually park. It was around 37°C (almost 99°F) outside — super hot! 🔥 We asked if we could bring our cat inside because we didn’t want to leave him in the car — and they kindly said yes. We really appreciated that! 🙌 This place was amazing. ✔️ Food ✔️ Parking ✔️Service ✔️Pet friendly

Google
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!!! The best curry in southern Utah. Such a great array of appetizers that never disappoint. Such nice and welcoming staff and atmosphere. Overall an amazing experience, if you have the chance, go!

Google
I cannot describe how good the food is here. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I was hesitant about getting Thai food in Utah, but heard a great story about how the family who runs this has a world champion golfing daughter, and in my opinion the parents are just as talented in cooking. Excellent service as well, and I’ll be leaving a great tip! I would take a photo of the food but I already finished it and I think these photos are more meaningful.

Google
This is the best Thai food in St. George, my personal favorites are the green and Panang curries and the Tom Kha soup. Lovely place to go for some chill vibes and delicious food. A must eat at place!

Google
I am a big Asian food guy. We tried this place and I would have to say it's probably the BEST Thai food restaurantin St. George. I've had the pad Thai, yellow curry and the Masaman curry and they are absolutely spot on. Definitely my favorite Thai restaurant from now on. And the service was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place

Lunch October 20, 2024 October 20, 2024 once we finished driving through Kolob Canyons, we stopped in St.George Utah and got lunch at Banana Blossom Thai Cuisine, then headed to the Red Hills Desert Garden!

Google
During our stay at St George we tried this place for a casual dinner. We ordered pad Kew Mao chicken and veggie. In starters we ordered fried spring rolls. The ordered took some time but staff had already informed/ warned us about that so we were prepared. To accompany our food we also order soda and a glass of wine. While we waited for order drinks helped and we just admired the ambiance of the place. There were other families as well so the place was cheerful 😀 The spring roll was great and had a lot of crunch to it. It’s complimentary saude was also good. When the main dish arrived, we soon realised that there was egg in the veggie noodles so we informed the staff and they were so cooperative to change the order and offered a vegan version of the dish. I was amazed by their service and patience. The place was worth the visit and wait after all. I hope you also have a great time there! Cheers 👋

Yelp
Banana Blossom is our favorite Asian restaurant in St. George. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese or Thai food. Their pad Thai is phenomenal and their drunken noodles are just as good. My wife loves the pineapple fried rice, which is a unique take on fried rice dishes. A wonderful surprise is the service by husband and wife, both Thai nationals, who serve you with dignity and a bow.

Yelp
I called twice to make sure that you would be open on Thanksgiving day both times I was told that you would be open on Thanksgiving day regular business hours. I then placed an order through DoorDash for Thanksgiving dinner costing $217. The order was then canceled now I am out that $217 and don't have anything to feed my kids for Thanksgiving dinner. Now no one is answering the phone at this restaurant is incredibly frustrating. I mean, I hope everyone is okay and your restaurant didn't blow up, but come on! 3 kids were excited to do THAInksgiving.

Yelp
Found this place as we were craving some Asian food. So glad we found them! Service is great, as they were very polite and welcoming. We ordered a Thai fried rice, Panang curry, fried tofu, and a cup of Tom yum soup with chicken. Food was very flavorful and delicious. They actually give a lot of protein in all the orders. Ambiance was cozy and serene, great for families and a chill meal.

Yelp
This place is part of a hotel which is nice for those staying there, but kind of a strange location if you are a local. There seems to be a sewer gas issues near the front door which is quite off putting. We were greeted and sat right away. They staff is super friendly and helpful. Meals came out quickly but they just didn't have much flavor. Portions were huge so we had plenty to take home. Unfortunately the quality/flavor just doesn't add up for us to go there again.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai food in Washington county. Always great service and atmosphere. Food is fresh, authentic and very good. Never had a bad meal here. My son and his wife both went to Asia for several years and were impressed with how good the meals are here.

Yelp
First off. Excellent service. The man and woman who work here (who perhaps own it?) are so sweet and kind. I had my 18 month old with our group and they brought a high chair, and a kid sized plate, spoon, and cup with a lid out for her without my requesting it. She dropped her silverware and they ran a new set out, they even gave her this cute little banana cake dessert for free. She was treated like a little princess. I judge all Thai places by their Tom Ka soup, pad see ew and their sticky mango rice because those are my favorite and all I ever order. All three were top notch! Great flavor on the soup and lots of mushrooms (my favorite) the pad see ewe was really good but unfortunately didn't have a lot of broccoli in it. Great flavor though and nice thick noodles. Sticky mango rice was the best I've had in town. It was a perfect mango and everything was a great ratio and so delicious. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you!

Yelp
Me and my friend decided to eat here in a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. We were sat right away and serviced quickly. As for the food itself I tried a multitude of things, with the highlight being the coconut shrimp from the combination plate (Seriously the shrimp is damn good). The curry was very flavorful and the Pad Thai was a strong choice as well. We ended off with some sticky rice and mango, which was very good. Overall the restaurant is a nicely put together place.

Yelp
Where do I even start? Everyone we come to St. George, we always have to stop at Banana Blossom. The food is amazing! Even the kids love the samosas! Their favorite is the Custard and Sticky Rice Dessert. Service is the best!
google avatar

Frances S.

Yelp
The food was great! Try the Pineapple Fried Rice. We did at the beginning of our trip to Utah national parks and again after visiting the parks. It's that good!
google avatar

Shelli R.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Service was a bit slow but food made up for it! Got the shrimp and wontons for appetizer,my only complaint is the number was uneven so me and my friend had to fight over the last shrimp! Got the curry it was spicy and warmed me up! Friend loved the Pad Thai!Ambiance was lacking.

Yelp
Spent an afternoon driving from Vegas and found this restaurant. Very friendly cozy atmosphere. The owners are a very pleasant people who are working very hard to make this restaurant survive. Great prices , great food . Service is tremendous. If you are in St George stop bye and enjoy some original home made Thai food.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good food, excellent customer service. The cook even came out and asked us if everything was to our liking. Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
It was really busy, big groups, most every table full, and order after order coming in on Uber eats or door dash, as well as people who came in for call in orders. Quite a bit of time passed... Seemed as though they forgot to put in our order. We were not the only ones who were waiting a very long time. The lady was literally running around, they were doing their very best. She brought us goyzas on the house because of how long we were waiting and she was so apologetic. I ordered the drunken noodles because they were the number one reviewed thing on yelp with all great reviews. I've never had drunken noodles before. I also ordered the spicy edamame. My fiancé ordered the orange chicken and chicken curry samosas. I thought it was brave of him to order orange chicken because it's usually such a hit or miss at places.. and I typically go off reviews and there was none about the orange chicken or the samosas. Turns out, the orange chicken should be one of their top rated items. it was so fricken good. Not overly orange and it was breaded and so delicious. And the samosas!! They are like a pastry oof! Not overly curry taste, SO good. I highly recommend both of these items. The spicy edemame was also bomb. I know it's hard to mess up edamame but I've had other places where maybe I should have stuck with regular and not spicy or garlic because it's over done or drenched. Not this place. It was perfect. As for the drunken noodles... It was good. Not bad. Every one else raves about it on here. But maybe it's a certain taste that I just don't prefer. Like I said it was my first time trying it. And it just wasn't my fav Next time I'll opt for the basil fried rice. They were so kind and the service was kind of slow but they really were doing their best. I appreciate that and people just need to have more patience and understanding. The ambiance was nice too We decided if we lived in this town, we would be regulars here.

Yelp
One of the most authentic Thai restaurants in St. George that we've found. Their yellow curry is our favorite, with Pad Kee Mao, and of course mango sticky rice. Service is great, and food always comes out hot. Great place for date nights, special occasions, business meetings, or even take out.

Trent A.

Yelp
Food was great, Ambiance was great, service was great. Honestly I can't believe it is not packed Sunday evening. In my picture I ate a little before the photo, they had great presentation

Alejandra A.

Yelp
The owner was super friendly and welcoming! The food was amazing we had: curry, cashew chicken, chicken basil rice and Thai chicken. Each plate had its own unique flavor which was delicious. We would love to come more frequently but we're from out of town - if we come back, we will definitely be stopping by!

Yelp
I ordered a lunch special, Massaman Curry with chicken. When we come in, the staff was so nice to introduce the menu to us. The soup came up first. It tasted very sweet. Then, the curry was delivered. It actually has a lot of chicken. The curry was not spicy and tasty. The restaurant has a lot of space, not many people at lunch time. There was a Thai music. Everything was clean.
google avatar

Chase C.

Yelp
This was such an inviting place to eat at with excellently calming and peaceful music playing. The seating was also comfortable as well for the booth seats and the decor on the inside was really nice to look at. The employees were very friendly and helpful and even offered a solution to bring us some of the spice in the side so we could make the curry more hot to our liking.... but I think he forgot as we didn't actually get the spice on the side unfortunately. I got the massuman curry and it was great to the taste and even had peanuts in it. The potatoes and carrots tasted great and the chicken was as expected. Everything was great here and I will be back for sure... mostly because of the calming music they had playing lol!

Jim C.

Yelp
Food was good and service was even better. Very enjoyable meal. Would go back next time I am in town.
google avatar

Troy C.

Yelp
Best Thai food in SG. The place is unassuming as part of a hotel. Order the Massaman with beef. They grill the beef and the quality and flavor is excellent.

Erica C.

Yelp
Both our curries were really watery and the drunken noodles were very plain. Our mangos were crunchy and sour. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Tzitziri S.

Yelp
Always great food. The mango sticky rice is delicious The owners are really kind and always have a smile on their face.

Kendyl T.

Yelp
The ambience, food, and especially the service was so amazing! The flavor of the panang curry was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Our waitress was the sweetest lady and her energy was lovely! Definitely a pleasant experience! We will be back when we come back into town

Ginger B.

Yelp
Since moving from Seattle we have been looking for good Thai food. We did not realize how spoiled we were. For choices in the PNW. We've tried at least 4 other places and none satisfied that craving until Banana Blossom Thai Cuisine. No spaghetti noodles in my pad Thai here ! The flavor was excellent, and the service was fabulous. My husband loved his yellow curry as well. We will definitely be back when the craving hits!

DeAnna G.

Yelp
Absolutely love the food here! We've always been kindly greeted and the food is served with love. We stopped in this evening, on the drive home, for Phad Thai and yellow curry. Both were delicious

JoAnne N.

Yelp
We found the food a big yawn--Not nearly spicy enough with no pepper rating system. My basil fried rice was very much lacking in basil. Could have used more veggies and meat too. The food came out quickly but w/o coordination. Our food appetizers and dinners did not come out together. I ordered a salad with no onions (repeated multiple times) and it still had onion. The waiter never once came back to see if we needed anything else. They did not have a current liquor license. Ambiance was at least quiet and clean. Overall meh.

Darlene B.

Yelp
The food was very good. There was no wait. We also had a very sweet little helper who served our water. Next time we are in St. George, we will definitely stop there.

Yelp
I was craving Thai food tonight. I looked at the reviews here and saw it was pretty decent. I walked and the place was getting full. Since I was by myself, they asked if I would like to sit in the bar area. When I sat down, I felt like a two year old sitting at the dinner table, so I asked for a table. They said that they would not be able to sit me at a table because it was too busy. So I asked to order take out. I placed my order for Spicy Basil Chicken, Fresh Spring Roll with Shrimp, and Mango & Sticky Rice with extra sauce. I went back to my car to get my phone so I can write my review. When I came back in there was a plate and glass of water on the table so I decided to eat like a two year old tonight. The spring rolls came first. It came with a really cool presentation. There was peanut as well as sweet and sour sauce on the side. I liked the rolls because they included cilantro with all the vegetables and rice noodles. My only complaint was that the rolls were not rolled tight enough and fell apart when you bit into them. The peanut sauce was served warm, which I didn't care for. It needed a little more sweetness and heat. The sweet and sour sauce was good and had some heat to it. I decided to combine the two sauces and it turned out alright The Spicy Basil Chicken came out shortly after my appetizer. There were nice big leaves of basil, chicken slices, red and green bell peppers, onions, and red pepper flakes. I have been to other restaurants and their flavors are a lot stronger. This dish was not bad but need more oyster sauce. The peppers were perfectly cooked and had lots of crunch. As I was eating, servers, hosts and bus boys kept bumping into my bar stool which got old after a while. The dessert is what will change my rating from a three star to four The last time I ordered this dessert was in Idaho. They served it with purple rice and there was hardly any sweetness to it. This dessert also had purple rice but this dessert had more sweetness. The sauce was a runny coconut milk. The mango was the not ripe enough and was a little sour, which I didn't mind. It went really well with the extra sweetness of the extra sauce that I ordered. Good thing I liked the dessert. They get four stars.

Yelp
4/3/2021 indoor dining Hubs was craving thai food and we found banana blossom on yelp. We were hungry definitely over ordered for our family of 4. We called and there was no wait or reservations needed like the Italian dinner we had the night before. We got seated shortly after arriving. We started with Tom Kha a coconut curry base soup with choice of protein - we chose chicken. We noticed a common theme eating out here in Utah and noticed everything to be a bit on the saltier side. This dish had a lot of cabbage in it which isn't something we're used to in California. We ordered papaya salad and chicken Larb salad. The papaya salad was sweet and salty with lots of sauce. The Larb for us was missing the toasted rice and herbs and was ok. We got spicy eggplant, ginger fish fillet - both were also salty. Green curry with chicken was the best dish. Chicken was very tender. We did order a pad see ew however it was forgotten and not made. That was fine as we had a hard time fishing the dishes that did make it out. Our table was packed and we had to consolidate dishes to make room as all the food came out as once. The waitress was very friendly and nice. She kindly removed the pad see ew dish and apologized. All in all we were not impressed with the food but the service from our waitress was good.

Rob J.

Yelp
This is a really great restaurant! The food was fantastic, and the service was attentive and kind. We ordered drunken noodles and a yellow curry, and both were very fresh and delicious. For a lunch set, it came with a small salad and a spring roll. Kudos to the restaurant, and will definitely come back again when in St. George!
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
I ordered the yellow curry bowl and a small bowl of Tom Yum soup. The bowl of soup arrived first but it was just beef broth with scallions. The broth was tasty but it wasn't what I ordered. When the chicken yellow curry arrived, it consisted of a bowl of soup with curry, chicken, onion and carrot. The problem was the new menu was very different from the prior one. There was no descriptions on the menu so you just got what they brought you. When I complained to the server that I got no green vegetables in the curry didn't and nothing in the Tom yum soup the server apologized but did nothing to make things better. I will definitely not go back to this restaurant! Their menu change made this experience very negative!

Jasmine P.

Yelp
Banana Blossom is not only the best Thai place in St George, but it's the best Thai place we've been to! The Pad Thai is hands down the best Pad Thai we've had. The service is always excellent, you can tell the workers take a lot of pride in what they do and that they appreciate the patronage of everyone who walks in. This is a must-eat establishment! We come here every time we're in the area.
google avatar

Senia O.

Yelp
Upon walking in we where asked if we had a Reservation I'm sorry but no where does it say we need a reservation ANYWHERE. (With just 6peolle in the Restaurant) Really? Behind us comes in 2 Ladies , they ask How Many in your Party?-2, come right over here, uhmm excuse me why aren't they asked about a reservation.. So I question the blonder hair waitress is there a reason WHY you didn't ask if they had a reservation, -She Responded Oh they DID... No they didn't. Of they had a reservation, you'd ask what is the name of your part! Not how many in your party. We ordered - Chicken satay Spring rolls Combination Plate Crab Fried rice Pad see EW Fried Ginger Fish So far The Other Waitress not sure of her name , but will let you know later in my review, how she does. She was very nice and so was the original waitress towards the end. However the guy refilling the water cups very nice of.him, BIT no need to slam the cups down on the table. Atmosphere***(3) Cleaningness****(4) Music-i do not remember Attentive****(4) Customer Service*****(5) The hound lady deserved a $20.tip (love the color of her hair also)...

Yelp
Excellent Massaman Curry and Pad Thai. Very generous portions for the entrees we ordered. Meat was tender and veggies were tender crisp with excellent sauces. The only disappointment was lack of flavor in the green papaya salad. It was crunchy, but bland. It must be very busy with the curbside pickup as we were told it would be an hour from when we called to pick-up.

Steve M.

Yelp
Food was good but they were out of a few things & did not mention it until serving the food to the table. It was during Huntsman Games and they were under staffed. Three of us received our meals and then the other four did not arrive at the table for another 15 minutes. Flavors of dishes were satisfactory for all in our group.

Rob L.

Yelp
Nice friendly prompt service, the food was quite good. Came out fresh and hot out of the wok to table. I would go back when in town again.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Excellent! Food was fresh and flavorful! Staff (maybe owner) very friendly and accommodating. Whenever I go through St. George I always stop here for dinner. Just FYI if you're on the fence as far as spicyiness (1-5) go lower...a 3 was too hot for me

Jim W.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Very nice atmosphere. The couple working the front are super nice folks.

James L.

Yelp
I have driven by this place so many times not even noticing, and my wife pointed it out to me. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere has a homey feel yet elegant appearance. We were warmly greeted by staff upon entering and seated promptly. The food was expertly prepared, elegantly presented, and had a delicate taste that was not too greasy or the flavors overpowering. The price was very reasonable for the content. We ordered the cream cheese wontons, fried spring rolls, Thai ginger with chicken, and pad Thai with chicken. All very tasty and satisfying.

Yelp
Loved this Thai food when I was in St. George with my boyfriend we ordered it to go and picked it up. Really good food and a good service. Would be back hands down.
google avatar

Georgia M.

Yelp
EXCELLENT service, the owner was VERY conscientious, and caring. She was polite, as well as intent to be helpful and she was very kind and friendly. The decor was lovely, beginning with the entrance, which had beautiful potted plants everywhere! The food was amazing! It was delightfully prepared and served (I ordered spring rolls and the yellow curry chicken), so I will be returning soon for another adventurous meal and to take my friends and family too!
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine, excellent customer service, beautiful location, and an authentic ambiance that left our entire family satisfied...
google avatar

Yelp
Loved eating here. The server was kind. We got peanut free food and got chopsticks and extra plates when we asked for them. The restroom is clean. The decorations are nice and the music is soothing. I'd like to visit again!

Charito G.

Yelp
We recently stopped here on a trip to Bryce and Zion. We had the pad thai, brocolli with chicken and mango with sticky rice. The service was good, very attentive but we think they may have burned the pad thai. It had a weird smoky flavor like that overcooked it. We eat pad thai pretty regularly so we know what it should take like. The mango with sticky rice was good but we got a smaller portion than we hoped for. There was a lady working there who was very friendly and shared lots of stories. Very family friendly place.

Yelp
Horrible place! I was in UTah for work related training . I asked them to please print out an itemized receipt because I was using a Corporate card . The guy asked me "what? You cannot read?" Then a few days later, the charges showed up and there was a tip on there. Of course, I didn't tip! Would you tip? If they were that rude? So, I called them and the guy swore I left a tip. So I asked him to show me a copy of the receipt that showed that I tip. We went back and forth for 20 mins. Yes! 20 mins! Because apparently it was a new system and he didn't know how to pull up the receipt. He said that he couldn't do it because the manager isn't there. So I asked him if I can get the manager's name and when will the manager be in ? Because I wanted to talk to the manager . He refused to give me any information and said that "it's a mom and pop shop " . He then told me to come back in and they will give me back my tip . Excuse me? Thats wasn't the point! The point is that there was a tip that I did not leave. Any ways.... Food isn't great either. The only thing I can say that was good was the Thai tea.

Devin T.

Yelp
The drunken noodles were overly salty, as if they misjudged the amounts of salt and put them in three times. The wife had to toss half of her food away because it was so salty. The wait staff is very nice. The restaurant is older, but clean.

S M.

Yelp
I got Pad Thai online order. It was ready within 20 min and when I went to pick up, the male staff was on a phone so I waited. He checked my order and told to wait a min, and the staff brought my order. Taste is ok, nothing special. The store staff he might be an owner was not nice. Sounds like he was dealing with online order issues. Passed me my order, no chopsticks or napkins in the order.

Christopher G.

Yelp
Everything here is amazing! Wonderful customer service extremely friendly! Love this place!

Yelp
Good Thai food for St. George . Higher quality and well made dishes. Wish it were less sweet as all Thai food adds sugar to their food to appeal to locals but still tasty. Place is huge and upscale .
